My brother in law has autism, not that is a requirement for any type of compensation. I just want to point out that this staff does not care about people who are special needs. My family came out for his graduation party and funneled over $300 in one single game. When I had mentioned that the gear keeps slipping and this doesn't look like a mechanic of the game. The manger simply brushed us off and told us to kick rocks. I would highly suggest taking your special needs children to a different place. If I
I LOVE round one. I love the variety of games they have , from racing and rhythm games to classic arcade games, this place has it all. On top of that they also have bowling and food/drinks. It's a great place to spend the evening playing claw games or dancing the night away. It is good for all ages. But I think young adult and up will get the most enjoyment out of this space, as a lot of the games are skill based and may frustrate a younger crowd. Bonus: the claw games are actually winnable!
First time ever going to a Round 1 Arcade. Went to the one in North Star Mall in San Antonio. There is a nice variety of games here, from coin pushers, claw machines, to classic fighter games like Tekken. While my family and I did enjoy our time at the arcade, we won't be going back because it is to far from where we live. If a Round 1 popped up in the city I live in, I would be there a lot.
Round 1 Arcade at North Star Mall is an absolute gem for anyone looking to unleash their inner gamer! With an extensive collection of arcade games that span from tried and true classics like space invaders with a modern twist to the latest imports from Japan, it's a paradise for enthusiasts who crave experiences you simply can't find anywhere else. The claw machines are a must-try, offering that tantalizing thrill of snagging a plush toy, while the racing games will have you revving up your competitive spir
It was great at the beginning but when a worker saw us getting the winning plush closer, he rudely opened the glass and reset the machine without asking us while we were playing and swiped our card. That's rigging right in front of our face if you ask me. Not sure if we will go back if that's what they do to rip people off who want to have fun and get prizes especially for the money we pay.
Had a great experience. We spent two full days here during our last spring break vacation. We think we even enjoyed it more than SeaWorld. Such an excellent selection of claw machines, claw games, and coin pushers. We found that the evening staff was much more prodessional and kind than the morning opening staff. More daughter loved playing the music games, which there were easily 20 different ones. My wife preferred claw machines, and I could sit at coin pushers all day. It made our trip great that the
I enjoyed it like the when I was in Japan! This place is so fun from arcade games, machine games (with also same quality of Japan winnings), to the added bowling alley and billiards area. They serve food and beverages here (yes for adult beverages). We didn't try the other games aside from the machine games which we really enjoyed. The crew were so nice, I just wish they have buttons to call the crew so it will not be a hide and seek game. The place is neat and really well situated. They check your id be
Our favorite family place to go for a great time, everytime. We love the little bowling alley. Lots of bench seating for the whole crew. Fun interactive games and it's very clean and well taken care of. Arcade is FULL with games and machines to win toys and the cutest stuffed animals. Fill a refillable card with points to Play. The only thing is some games are a Lil pricey, but it's worth it. Cheap food and drinks even $1 per scoop ice cream. Great place to plan a birthday party or just pop in for afternoo
What a wonderful place and staff! My son?s birthday party at a different place had an unexpected cancellation and within the hour- my husband and I were able to get everything we needed to make my son?s party special. My son said his party was AWESOME and the private room was spacious and quiet for the parents. The food was great and the venue was super clean. Kudos to the manager and staff. Y?all are amazing. We will be returning!
Waited in this long line for 20 minutes just trying to buy a Red Bull while in line. Everyone is in the kitchen standing around while this girl is sitting there. We are all in line trying to get something all I was trying to get is a Red Bull absolutely ridiculous. I would not recommend getting any sort of food here.
NO MILITARY DISCOUNT*** It's like Vegas for families! Our family had a blast, and we didn't even play anything. All six of us ate in the food court. We got a variety of food and it was yummy! Heads up, pizza looks delicious but has very little sauce and almost tastes like garlic cheese toast. If that's your cup of tea, order up! We still ate it and it was delicious ?? but different.
I've already gone a couple of times and the large array of Japanese claw machines, music games, and the staff are very friendly and help you out of any of the machines have help. Be careful tho. You'll want to spend a ton of money here! WORTH IT ?????? ??
I brought a group of 17, and their customer service was impeccable. With any miscommunication, they were super accommodating. I felt guilty a bit with how generous they were with my organization. I told the members to please leave them good reviews in response to how hospitable they were. I don't want to say specifics so as to create an expectation for those demanding customers out there.
This place was wonderful!!! My husband and I were looking for a place to spend a date night, and he suggested Round1. We had gone here to play billiards before, but were unsure of anything else they had there. Come to find out, they had karaoke rooms available to rent!!! My husband and I were able to go late afternoon in the middle of the week and rent out a karaoke room for one hour for only $16!!! The karaoke was easy to figure out: you could either 1) use their karaoke machine app to play songs from the
This place was great the first time we went. The machines had a decent payout and we won various stuffed animals. We've been twice since and it seems like they both increased cost to play maybe and the payout is horrible. $58 got us 20 plays and won one cheap stuffed animal. Sad .. and just not worth it.
Sweet place, all the one stars are from individuals who don't understand what skill games are. It's not about just having a claw grab something and you win. Spent $110 to get the 800 points and had a blast. This was my loot haul. Each figure is at least $35 at any store. I won at least $300 in stuff plus had a great time. It was frustrated figuring out the machines but, Once I got a hang of them it was easy! Loved all the different styles to test your skills. I would definitely go back to this place for hou
Updated: Through the Round1 App, I got a free hour of karaoke. Went with my sisters and had a spacious room all to ourselves. It was fun! We also played some claw machines and Dance Dance. One downer was the bar. One person running it seemed like they didn't know what they were doing and very slow to get to us. We also had some pizza this time. It was ok. All in all, this visit was fun. I really like this place. Super cool staff and super cool claw machines. They also have bowling, karaoke, food, and video
Went to celebrate my son's birthday, spent over 400 dollars for the worst experience. The place was dead and now I can see why. Food was served under cooked. Pizzas were cold an the dough was raw, ordered nachos and the cheese was lukewarm. They had no wings. Kitchen staff was slow and unprofessional. Bowling lanes were down only 5 working, waited over an hr. Crane games were either empty or not working. Escalators were down. The manager onduty seemed to do nothing to engage with guests. The staff was
I hate giving a poor review but I definitely had higher expectations and was disappointed. The claw machines are a scam. I'm pretty sure the RNG and grip are set. The claws don't grab, it's definitely not worth the cost and the kid tears. The food was okay but I felt bad for the one girl behind the counter for a brief time. It seemed like others went on break or ended shift. We finally left after waiting 15 minutes for 3 scoops of ice cream.
It's fun, I've been before but they've implemented a new rule that you need to be 21+ to enter after a certain hour. It's not a night club, it's an arcade. Be for real. Plus, it's not even cost friendly either. I wouldn't go anymore, there are so many better arcades in San Antonio.
We discovered it while walking around Northstar mall, and we enjoyed it, certainly things can be pricey if you want to play games or bowl but it's a time you should come prepared for... Of course, we spent our time playing pool for $12.95 an hour, I do believe, the prices are cheaper before 4pm ... It was our first time there but we enjoyed it. It felt more of an adult game room than a something for kids although it is for families of all ages unitil 10pm and midnight... Since they stay open to 2 am. I'm gi
This place is definitely geared towards kids. If you're an adult looking for games and drinks, this isn't the spot for you. Expect to wait in line every time, and the service at the bar is slow. Plus, they don't have Coors Light on tap.
Had a great time here. If you get the pass, make sure to reload your card at the counter and not through your phone, or else you don't get the additional credits. (My only complaint is that they didn't tell us this when we got our yearly card.)
Had a great time with my family but honestly would?ve preferred Peter Piper Pizza or Chuck E Cheese or Main Event. Service was poor and food was too expensive for what we got. We got the $10/hr game cards but we're not told that those are only good for the green-lighted arcades games. Although we had a good time, not worth returning.
THE. BEST. PLACE. EVER!!!!! so many games and claw machines with cute prizes. some are hard to win, but even i (someone who is rlly bad at claw machines) have never walked out of here empty handed. there's a food area too and the pizza isn't bad at all. employees are kind and overall a super fun place to be!!
We went to have a fun time bowling, but overall the customer service was very unsatisfactory. Krystalina and other staff members gave terrible customer service. Very unsatisfied with trip and will probably go to another venue next time.
I loved going to this Round1 for the last 2 years because of the prizes, both what you win in the claw games and in the prize room. As of this last week, however, the prices for credits and claw games has gone up overnight, with prizes in their redemption area almost doubling. Even with tariffs coming, this is a ridiculous increase when they're prices have already been slowly rising over the last few years. I can't tolerate this any longer and recommend others stop supporting such blatant corporate greed.
We went today to see if it's the same like how it was in Japan (many floors of entertainment). Definitely not as big as the one in Japan but we still had fun regardless. I just want to say that the workers there was a life saver. I panicked since I lost my purse, but the people at the office found it and gave it to me. Thank you very much!!! My whole life was in that purse. I truly appreciate it. Very good customer service.
I attended the Grand Opening of Round1 San Antonio today. Let me just say this place is fantastic! I absolutely loved it! It has a ton of claw machines and we won so many times. It's crazy! Granted that may change as they adjust but still there's so much to do and see here. From bowling to billiards, and karaoke rooms, to a wide variety prize winning games and a prize redemption center. I highly recommend this place to anyone who lives nearby. Update 4/1/2013 The place is still great! And its proving to be
We bought the unlimited pass, which only works on games with the green swipes. The place is huge however their green swipes games amounts to less than 10%. Very misleading. Realized there weren't any games to play 5-10 minutes after purchasing the unlimited card. Management was very unhelpful when it came to a refund. First manager said they couldn't give a refund the 2nd manager said they couldn't give a refund due to the amount of time that had passed. First and last time here, would rather go the AR at W
Round 1 is a fantastic entertainment venue that offers a wide range of activities for all ages. From bowling and arcade games to karaoke and billiards, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The atmosphere is lively and fun, perfect for group outings or family events. The arcade features a variety of games, from classic favorites to the latest releases, and the bowling alley is well-maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. While prices can be on the higher
A great time for all ages, especially so for adults. There's tons of fun games, both ticketless and those that give tickets. Claw machines are easy once you get the hang of it, but very easy to fumble and spend all your credits on. ?? But the prizes are so adorable you just can't help it. Staff was very friendly and helpful, one of the machines we tried had a messed up claw, but a mechanic swiftly fixed it. The entrance may a little tricky to get to if the mall is closed, but it's honestly easy to spot with
We were excited to visit this location as we have visited the round ones in japan. It's basically the same style of experience it's very loud there are lots of claw machines and games. You can do karaoke, bowling, and billiards. I was afraid to try the claw machines because they were so expensive. Even the small tiny claw machines were 8.4 points. The karaoke does not have Japanese or Korean songs at this time when we inquired and that was quite disappointing as that was the whole reason why we wanted to g
honestly don't think it is fair to leave a 1 star review based off one particular (new) claw machine (installed sometime this week 26aug-29aug) but this needs to be brought to the attention of management and hopefully prevent a few folks from being scammed. Overall, I would give Round 1 (claw machines) a solid 4/5. A decent variety of styles, plushes, figures ect.. The staff can be helpful at times, but depending on who you talk to, they enforce the "I can only reset to the start position rule". Sometimes
Came here for a friend's kids bday party. I kid you not, it way better here than at main event or Dave and busters. There's way more games. DDR. It's a Japanese culture lovers paradise when it comes to crane machines with figurines or plushies. And it's attached to a mall! Take your family here! They'll love it.
Celebrate an early Birthday time with my daughter. The food was so good! I had the half meat lovers & pineapple/Canadian pizza ?? with a 6 piece lemon pepper wings combo. High volume activity. The games were fun to play for All Ages. A glass of wine ?? was $2.99 this day. Not sure If it is a regular thing. Go and enjoy yourself with friends and family or by yourself! ??
Overpriced food, undercooked pizza, and terrible service. $86.55 for 2 pizzas, a pitcher of lemonade, and a chicken sandwich combo. The pizza was so soft and doughy. And I waited next to the counter for 15 minutes and the 5 staff on their phones didn't look up once. When they finally did see me, he moved off to do something else without even asking if I needed anything. Definitely don't recommend this place at all.
I went with my younger friend who is 18, and I'm 20. We wanted to go to Round 1 at around 11 PM, so we did. We both have ID's, but when we got to the door, we were turned away. Apparently the arcade turns into a 21+ hangout after hours?? It's an arcade. It should be open for everyone to visit at any hour. I guess they just don't want money
We LOVE Round 1! The staff is always helpful... Today, Obie was super friendly and within reach everytime we won a prize. He fluffed the claw machines when requested and fixed the machines when they malfunctioned. ??
Went here for the first time because of YouTube videos and tiktoks, I defiantly enjoyed it, won some prizes!! My dad won me Luna from sailor moon and I am so in love with it! All the prize are super soft and all the figures are really cool! We also got a couple jackpots. Never tried the food so wouldn't know. This place was 8.5/10 it is a bit expensive.
Love coming to Round One! They have a great selection of activities, and my kids always have a blast with the crain machines. It's a fun place for the whole family. The only downside is that sometimes there's only one staff member working the food court area, which can make the wait a bit long
Comparing to other Round1s, this one unfortunately has many of the games on max volume (or the acoustics are just bad in general) , which had my Apple Watch go crazy several times. I feel bad for the employees who have to work in such a noisy environment. But noise aside, the venue is good and selection of games excellent.
Been here 3 times in a week. Definitely a fun place to bring friends and family. It is like a Dave and Busters. Recommended for anyone.
I always have a really good time here! The prizes are really cute and the drinks & snacks are yummy. Only took off one star because for some reason anytime we ask for a bag for our haul of plushies we're holding, the employees act really hesitant and definitely don't want to give us one. It makes me feel like I'm asking for something Im not supposed to. Not really sure what that is about, but otherwise I love this place!
Crane machines quite scammy. 450 credits - $76for a single win. Not sure why they changed it had a mich more pleasant experience last year.
I've been coming to Round1 here since it opened here in San Antonio but it's finally time to call it quits. Prices have gone up constantly, while at the same time you get less points than you used to. So you're paying more for less, then to add onto that they raised the cost of each play on all of their claw machines, so you pay more to get less points to spend on machines that cost more while they've also made the machines much harder to win anything. It just stinks of corporate greed for figures and plush
The bartender was hard to get because they are not in the area. We called for them 3 times and waited for more than 30 minutes to get served our drinks. We paid for the karaoke room and the rooms are lit up entirely even at night. Not very good ambiance and very difficult instructions. You can hear other people sing in other rooms so not very intimate. The karaoke rooms are not sound proof. Paid for an hour of karaoke and spend 20 minutes trying to figure out how to set it up.
I've been to this location a handful of times and there always seem to be problems. The staff is pretty much always grumpy and annoyed with a couple of exceptions. The last time I went there was one really friendly and welcoming staff member wandering the floor. I've had a lot of machines break in the middle of playing and have to find someone to help. They also have been out of bags to put your plushes in and we're kinda rude about it. My biggest gripe is that the claw machines with the "cheese balls" or
My family and I visited on a Sunday night and had a great time. The prices are good for the games, food, drinks and the bar ans the staff are friendly. My daughter loved the crane games and was able to win several plushies. I love that they have DDR and Pump it up back-to-back. My daughter wants her party here and the staff said they should be coming out with party info soon. The party rooms look great and have a karaoke set-up with tables and chairs in each room. We will definitely be visiting again.
Round1 is our favorite spot in San Antonio. We come every couple of weeks. The club membership is $5 a year and gives you good value. Highly recommend it. The best part of Round1 are the wonderful staff members who are always so kind and helpful. Tonight in particular, David C went out of his way to help us. Thank you. We will be back soon!
This place is awesome. Love that I can take my son here to play video games for an hour and half during the week for only $13. Plus I get to enjoy my adult beverage while he does so. The only complaint is they are short staffed; had to wait a while for service to order food and beer at the bar cause the same employee was working in both areas. But that girl was doing her best taking orders cooking them and tending the bar.
Had a great time there but I was a little disappointed by the plushie machines. I feel like I wasted a lot of money since the claws had such loose grips. It will still fun to play the game and the photo booth is cute. I will definitely be going back to experience the rest of the activities.
Kitchen wasn't the greatest, but other than that we definitely enjoyed our experience. Sylvia was so helpful, she has exceptional customer service, big shout out to her!
We went here for my grandson's third birthday party. We had a lot of fun bowling and playing the arcade games. We enjoyed eating sliders, pizza, wings and such.
I've been here a few times but recently noticed it's definitely going downhill. The claw games are trash they are extremely weak and will drop the prize after it's been grabbed. The app doesn't work and staff has no idea how to use it. The manager with the ponytail has a short guy complex and was attempting to intimidate instead of assist people. The staff is grouped behind the counter talking instead of helping. They had no sodas, no ice cream and no one to take an order for the 5 mins we stood there. They
This place used to be so fun but now it seems so much more difficult to win anything and not as much variety with the prizes. It is not cheap to refill the cards and it goes by quick because it takes a good amount to play each game. Even the ticket redeem area seems more inflated. Very disappointing and more frustrating than fun
The workers behind the food concession counter were working very diligently while the managers came by just to watch them. Obviously drowning by all the orders being made my customers. All the managers did was stand around and laughing
So fun!! We love Round 1. We drive to Arlington and Grapevine so I'm glad this one is fairly closer compared to our 4 hour drives. Super clean, lots of arcades, karaoke machines. Crane games as well. Some are skill based some are luck. Come try it out because we will be back. Thanks y?all!
Food counter leaves only one guy fulfilling all the orders, it's sad to see and takes forever, we waited like 20 minutes for a scoop of ice cream. Bunch of other guys are just standing around being useless and chatting. Need more Chiikawa in the cranes.
My grandson birthday celebration was amazing, this place offer everything, love it! I recommended the private room was perfect, size and clean. Also the karaoke ?? my grandson really enjoyed.
Super fun!!! We won so many prizes! You can ask an attendant to reset the machine if it's in an unwinnable position. The push machines even have a guide how to win the plush! It's a Japanese style claw machine so definitely google it if you're unsure how to do the push claw methods. Staff were so friendly and had great interactions anytime we needed anything and bathrooms were clean. We are definitely going to go back!
I like this place for date night with my beloved. Or just to hang with the kids.
I had high hopes for Round1 and honestly, my expectations were exceeded. I loved everything about the place; the staff, the games, the experience, all excellent. Manny, an employee, made my whole experience. Helping me get my prizes and talking about what else would be fun to do or what I should aim for next. I ended up spending way more than I should, recharging my points card for about $120. I'm definitely going to come back and get a membership too. It's only $5 annually!! And the more visits, the higher
I love round one! Super fun definitely adds up But jesus the bartender sucked he ignored me too busy flirting like good for u i get it but get my drink out of the way he took too freaken long i just dipped
I'm so excited that this place finally opened up! I was only able to visit for an hour or so, but there's lots to look at and lots of things to do. I love the Japan exclusive rhythm games and Japanese style crane games. There are also a few traditional grab claw machines, a small bowling alley, a bar, and a sit down area for food. I will definitely be back to play again!
Very cool place, has so many more games of all kinds, more than other game rooms. Claw machines galore!! Didn't win anything, sad face. Beer was reasonable but didn't get food here will be a return customer for sure!
Guilty of spending alot of adult fun money ?? it was my second time going there this time. There was alot of empty claw machines compared to last year. I didnt know which machine to choose from becsuse there was not alot of options to choose from. One machine was not giving me the price after hitting a target multiple times but the staff fixed the problem and gave me 2 free trials. There are small. Medium and large prices. There are also alot of Japanese games to play
3 people waiting at bar for half and hour and just left. guess no one works the bar area. almost 2pm
Round 1 comes to us from Japan, which is why they have so many crane games, dance games, and karaoke rooms - all popular options there. No matter where you are from, you will find something fun to do at Round 1.
Pretty cool place. We played pool for 2 hours. It's a bit loud but kind of expected for an arcade.
The bathrooms were so nasty as if they had not been checked since they opened, the food service is very slow because, I had ordered fries and they were left sitting on the counter until I said something. Our spots were given away. I recommend any other bowling spot
Be prepared to spend more than 100$ at this arcade, the food was horrible and so was the service ull be waiting about an hr or so give or take which means ull either spend at the mall or the arcade while waiting for any lanes to open or billiards, this isnt like Mainevent where they take the food to use either which is a down side when ur playing and it takes time away from ur turn, also they don't have any deals on bowling or games. They say they have an unlimited option for the games for a lower price but
Had an awesome time at round 1 tonight! I went with my family and we spent about 200 ?? the staff was super nice and understanding of our lack of knowledge on how to play the claw machine games! And even sat with us to help us play them, the bigger claw machine didn't seem to work well tho I tried 5 times with staff help and still couldn't win anything ?? The hungry hippo was also broken but it always is lol, it really is one of the best arcades still and I definitely recommend going!!
it's a really amazing place with a variety of activities including; bowling, karaoke, claw machines, and different types of arcade games, my favorites are the rhythm games. although,, .. they removed project diva.. my favorite ever game . .. im pretty sad about it .. and i wish they added japanese songs to the karaoke room too. i went today they didn't have the Ramen or any of the new menu which is whatever but i was still disappointed they didn't have Ramen or project diva???????????????????????????????? i
Love the games, the claw machine and over all entertainment. Feel slightly cheated with the game selection on timed play. Make sure you walk the floor before making your card selection!
Me and my son had a great time only played a couple games but will definitely be back. Mario cart and guitar hero were lots of fun
My poor cousins spent money on two uber drives all because the staff discriminated against them and didn't allow them in because of their ?underage? policy Y?all act like this place is a club, concert, casino etc. it's an ARCADE FOR KIDS. Extremely disappointed with this place as it was my favorite. Key word WAS.
Not worth the money. You're better off at Pinstack. You get way more points and amenities for the price you would pay here. Plus you'll be waiting over 20 minutes to order a drink. Workers are MIA here.
Very much needed addition to San Antonio. This arcade is located at Northstar but you wouldn't even know because it is massive, it even has its own parking lot. There is tons of stuff to do but we only stuck to the arcade portion. We spent $35 and were there for 2 hours playing games ! there are tons of imported really cool Japanese rhythm games (seriously, the selection is huge) and i was shocked at how cheap the rhythm games were and there was no line at all, even for DDR. there are lots of new games and
The entire environment was too dirty. The bowling balls were extremely greasy, had a lot of loiterers in there just taking up the tables so left no place to sit for eating/drinking. Plus, the wait time at the bar was SO insane, even for their ?1 drink per ID? rule. Just not worth it, especially for their pricing.
Such a fun arcade. Good variety of games and decently priced. My only issue is the claw machines just don't grab anything. They just slide off most of the prizes , so that's a bit discouraging-especially for younger kids
We come here pretty often and recently you cannot win much and the prices went up. We used to leave with some many plushies and now we can bearly win one.
I went with 3 people last night to Round 1 but was rejected because the place is 21+ after a certain hour. Are you kidding me? I brought my nephew who is 17, and he is autistic, so he was devastated when he discovered he couldn't enter without an ID. That's ridiculous. As another review said, it's an arcade, not a night club!!!
My experience here was awesome because of Ava! She was extremely kind, helpful, and understanding. She was willing to help out, rearrange the boxes if they were stuck and also give tips! Ava should be promoted to manager!!! Her kindness makes me want to come here again regardless of winning prizes! Thank you ava!!
This was our first time and we had a great time!! It was very fun and Tony was very helpful he knows great customer service. And oh my God PK he is a very sweet patient humble guy he made our daughters b day one that we won't ever forget he made it INCREDIBLY FUN!!! He is the sweetest person I have ever met! And the manager Daniel he is amazing I absolutely love his good management skills he is so nice, a sweet man too and very very kind!! We love this place!! So much I may even apply here hehehe I luv it!!
Please stay home. Came here for a birthday and may I say the service was horrible. Prepare to wait over 30 minutes for a soda and fries. Also very expensive to play games.
Amazing place, but multiple price increases in less than a year is ridiculous. Prizes are now double what they used to be, credits cost more for less, and games cost more credits.
They should clarify crane machine prizes better. Some have a plush ball instead of actual prize, this ball reads you win one of the display plush toys. So I went ahead and won. Then, they say I can't choose which one from display, it has to be in order from the corner. What don't they clarify this before I play so I can plan ahead? Not hard to put a sign explaining this. Update: apparently, they changed this rule so now you can pick the prize. I really hope they stick to this rule!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience.
