Customer Reviews

We love Round1! Plenty of games, food, prizes, bowling, and pool tables ? like, way more variety than I've seen at other arcades. And you can actually win things from their crane games, unlike most places.

I came with my friends on a Thursday and we all used one card. Super fun Japanese rhythm games!! We ended up winning 5 figures and a plushie from the crane machines. It wasn't busy at all so we basically had the whole place to ourselves. Staff looked very sad, I hope they are okay and being treated well. Didn't have any issues with them though. If you're a otaku this is definitely the place for you. Will definitely come back.

A bit expensive but worth checking out. Almost all games were functioning. Went on a Saturday at 1 and wasn't crowded. Claw machines are definitely winnable for the plushies. Bowling there was also fun and not as expensive as I thought. 0.99 ice cream good. If you're single and lonely, like me, leave at 3. The couples start to come in by then.

We went there on a Sunday night and ended up going to a different round 1 instead because they were basically out of all their food. They also aren't as big as the other one, yet they're more crowded. We looked at the QR menu (which could've had a sign stating what they were out of yet it didn't), figured out what we wanted, got in line (and cut by a bunch of kids while their parents watched), just to get up there and have the lady point at their 86 list. She didn't even bother to do it nicely she just poin

We had a great time with the kids.lots of space and lots of games to play and the wine wasn't bad either

Video games, photo machines, food, pitcher of beer and bowling. Wednesday for my son's birthday felt like a Saturday so much fun.

Staff was super friendly and nice. But apparently the arcade puts out broken figures in the machines? Won a Frieren figure only to go home and realize the tape keeping it closed was not the original factory tape and a part of it is broken. Overall had fun when there, but this leaves a bad impression.

can't remember If his name Is Ryan or Brian but he was excellent, and very nice! He helped us , and was a vibe. He deserves a promotion, because he makes me and my friends want to come back!

Had an amazing time here I just recommended staying away from the claw machine I got two good quality plushies but some of the claws wouldn't even close like the one on the Kirby claw machine. Everything else was fun. I would definitely come back. Staff was nice and the establishment seemed clean.

Went as a family and took my autistic 7 yr old he actually had a good time and actually enjoyed playing a game. There is something for everyone in there will be back again

WE HAD SO MUCH FUN . THEY HAVE LOTS OF ARCADES, BOWLING, POOL TABLES, FOOD N FUN. THEY ACCEPT CARDS AND ATM ON SITE

$$$ for games and credits. 30 bucks for two people to do one game of bowling. Also your mall cops kept following us around, gave an icky feeling. Weird.

Very nice entertainment center. Great for family outing. Lots of many games plus bowling lanes. But there are lots of cops and security guards at the door entrance. It doesn't feel safe when having more security because this is near Chicago in south side. There was a fire alarm because someone smoked marijuana in the restroom. It made people to evacuate the building.

Normally I would post up here and give this a full 5 star review but however last night things need to be fixed between equipment (alot of the arcade games are down), they have 2 karaoke rooms but only 1 half way works. My party last night put in a request for a room and had to wait over 4 hours. The party that had the room either never showed up or just left ( we checked the room several times while waiting). Then when we finally get the room we don't even get a full hour because they didn't check with the

Claw games are so fun and seems like every couple of weeks they change out the type of stuffed animals in the machines, which is great if you go often. Love the bowling. Want to try the billiards. Games are so fun, especially the racing games.

Great place for kids to enjoy amd the staff is excellent at helping out. The young lady "Alexa" with some pink bangs was so helpful and explained how some claw machines work and other games.

Oh yeah! If you want to have a good time and eat good, definitely go here! I recommend if you go there for walk in to do bowling pay for a game instead of using hours if you have a big group!

Round One was an incredibly fun time from all of the arcade games to the claw machines. Our bartender, John, was extremely friendly, courteous, and a great vibe. He made our night! We will definitely visit again.

It's a great Atmosphere for the young... and young at heart! So many fun games to play. There's a nice Bowling Alley with its own Restaurant. The food is delicious;" There's even a pool Hall inside;;" Talk about an Experience;" you and the kids will Love it!;"

Round 1 is a very fun place to go but this location was TERRIBLE. When we got there we were told that the cook quit and they had someone else coming in to cook. We waited like 1 hour and 45 and then he told us no cook the kitchen is closed. Paid a lot of money to go bowling lanes were messing up. They had the security guard trying to fix the lanes but never did. We got game cards for the kids cards didn't work. So of course we're fed up and want our money back. He told us no and to call corporate or he was

Round 1 features many attractions that could easily lead the customer to believe that this place is essentially an adult/teenager Chuck E. CHEESE like deviation, you would not be wrong, nor is that an insult. Surprisingly, the stereotypical Sunday night football finger foods, are accompanied by I kid you not. - Matcha lattes. - Calpico in 5 flavors. - Tater tots. - Sushi. - Teriyaki Burger. - Japanese pop Ramune - Ramen bowls. There are the standard affair of Thrill Rides company arcade games avail

A number of machines have been unavailable to use for multiple visits. Guitar freaks user buttons get stuck scrolling on either players side. Wangan midnight cabinets are all in various states of useable but not well enough maintained to not pop the gear out of the shifter or have all but 1 cabinet squeak with every pedal press. Different audio levels between cabinets as well with a predetermined volume. There is a ton of security; cops as well as security guards. Most of the guards stay huddled in one spot

I've never been to round one and left empty handed but today I spent $80 for 440 points and did not win a single item in the cranes. I used majority of the points on the cranes and watched the machines completely unhinge and let go of the items moments before it would have been won, I feel like the machines were either completely faulty or just plan ridged because I have gone for over 5 years and never had an experience like this.

What a fun place to be!! Gotta admit that we initially came here because my kids love playing claw machines, and we heard from our friends that this is the place to be! And boy did they not disappoint. There's rows of claw machines stuffed with all sizes and varieties of cute stuffed animal and anime figures! Most claw machines use 13 points per play, which can be expensive after a while. We spent more than $100 to play claw machines and a little bit arcade. I think this place has so many arcade games that

Never been here before yet held my sons birthday party there last night, Friday the 13th. I also rented the karaoke/party room. Boys had a blast so I'm happy about that. Very disappointed in the service overall. 2 pizzas and 3 pitchers of pop were included in the package, I ordered an additional 2 pizzas and 2 pitchers of pop. Only received 1/2 the items and had to follow up on the rest, two separate times. When I went back the second time, the manger said ?it's not you it's my staff and I have to talk wi

Hello, I visited your location in North Riverside, IL today as a recurring customer and today is the last day I will ever step through those doors. Jackie (she said that was her name) the manager was egregiously rude and unprofessional. My daughter played a game and got the bonus tickets (1030 to be exact); I filmed it because she was so proud. So when we went to cash her tickets in for ONE prize she wanted, I was told there was no sign that she had ever played the game on her card. I was asked if she used

Great bowling and arcade. Food is also good for a place like this. Overall good experience whenever I decide to visit.

They have candy cabs, which is why my 16yo self-proclaimed weeb loves it here. One of the only places in the US with Project Diva, which is what originally brought us here. We drive 2 hours each way to return about 4x a year. My 14yo is all about claw machines and Connect 4 basketball, Jurassic Park and Walking Dead. There is free wifi and chargers outside the coffee shop in the center mall area so I can work while my kids play.

This place was nice and clean... games range from 6 to 14.6 tokens from what me and my daughter played... they have bowling lanes, pool tables and arcade games. The staff was ok and helpful especially when understanding how the games worked. It was a bit expensive to me the food prices were typical cheese burger and fries with a drink was $13 and nachos with cheese and hot peppers was $7. $25 got 125 points/tokens we went through those quick we had to buy more. However as a 1st time my daughter and I enjoy

Hello, me and my friends were told that we couldn't go in when we were specifically told earlier we would be allowed if we got there before 12am. We showed them it was 11:59 and they waited for it to be 12 to deny us entry. They were VERY rude and in a snarky tone told us ?we should?ve been quicker?. Very unprofessional and rude.

Loved my time at round one! All my buddies won figures and the attendants were super helpful especially SAM!

Took my brother here so that he could see his favorite game in arcade form. Workers were nice and it seemed pretty clean

Very addictive place, the matcha is great! Haven't had the food yet but the arcade tbh is the best part!

They only had two people working at the food & beverage at peak hour on a Sunday evening. This short-staffed on this area caused an outrageous amount of wait time for the food but as well ordering. I stood in line for almost half an hour just for a fountain drink. Turns out the drink was flat and I went to get a refund because of it. The first time I went to get a refund they sent me back to the line and I had to stay there for another 30 minutes. Once I got there the cashier told me to step aside and the m

Great place to celebrate a birthday or to hang out with friends and family. Food and drinks are available for purchase. Alcohol is also sold here. Clean place staff are nice. Only issue is that the machines can actually take your money and not give you the credit to play. Make sure to bring it to any staff they are nice to help you out.

They were somewhat short staffed when we visited so we did end up waiting about 30 mins for a bartender to come to work. They mostly serve beer wine and wine coolers. They also have a 3 drink cutoff so just be mindful when planning. The games were fun and the pool tables are a very nice touch as well. I would return here.

They have so many machines , games , entertainment and fun all around . Over 100 machines and they all range differently. Bowling and pool tables. They don't have many drinks options & limited food.

It was fun but extremely overpriced. Barely 1hr of OK arcade games. Forger about tickets for prizes. Maybe if yiu soend $200 you will win a $10 prize LMAO!

Solid place with arcade games, bowling, and billiards. Family atmosphere with food, beverages (alcoholic) too. If you're from the area you know to be conscious of your surroundings.

I liked the games and bowling but the Saturday I came they were short staffed....... meaning the bar was closed and the kitchen wasn't accepting any more orders. So despite me being hungry and sober it was still cool

Nice place, but a lot of people especially on weekends.. probably bot the best day to stop by. We have to wait 1hr to get a line for bowling.. and something that i dont likes that they dont have the opcion to reserved a line for bowling and avoid the waiting time. A lot of video.games around, and this place is not cheap.. average por person is from.30 to 50$.. they have a very good opcion during the week.. play by time all you can eat, drink and play.. I'll try it in the future..

The place was nice although some games didn't work. Rat came out in the middle of the bowling alley while me and three family members was bowling at the time. Scared the ish out of me. If you not scared of rodents go here if you are BEAWARE to leave no food laying around

Arcade and bowling were fun, but ordering food and bar are understaffed, bad management. They closed the bar before 5pm because they didn't have anyone to run it. Modelo on tap was out and they didn't have bottles. We ordered food; wings (which were actually good) but they gave our pizza and fries to someone else and we had to wait for them to make our order again. Soda tasted like seltzer water. Too bad this place doesn't have better service.

Took my 2 kids 14 yrs old and and 7. They both really liked it. Bought they unlimited pass it allows for some of the games only. Just make sure you understand what games you get before you purchase this option.

It was so much fun; I had the best time with my family. The claw machines were very addicting, but they got some cool and cute plushies. I loved the basketball games, especially the connect four one.

Very bothered on how rude the manager at the food area is. She's currently training someone and she has a VERY bad attitude. Pizza wasn't available and I asked why "The pizza is frozen and hasn't had time to thaw." I then ask how long will it take to thaw. "Honey. I don't know. The pizza is frozen and there's nothing we can do about it." While rolling her eyes. My party tried to get burgers instead and I was asking what everyone wanted and she was asking "is that all" while looking very annoying. I'm clear

Area is too large for non motorized mobility aids but if you want to do your 10,000+ steps in a certain amount of time this is the place I wouldn't recommend this place if you have a mobility aid had to stand for the games I'd preferred there isn't a lot of room to position your mobility aid to the machine i.e pinball

The people working in the food area are super slow and lazy I waited 10 mins for them to take my order and 20 mins to get some mozzarella sticks they move like they hate their job.

Went for my son 13th bday they had a ball!

For such a big place, having only one available stall is crazy. I had to go bad tbh just to walk in to someone using their phone instead of taking care of business. Couldn't use the other stall because the door was removed?.? I got lucky it was when access to the mall was available or it would?ve been over for me. Unreal. Most machines are overpriced too. Soft gripping claws 80% of the time.

The "manager" at the grill was extremely rude and unfriendly. When I I him if the bar was open he replied with, "it'll be open when I find someone to work it." Mean while he's standing there leaned against the countertop doing nothing. When I asked the cashier I'd the food was good, he replied with "depends how hungry you are." he refused and laughed when I asked if anything contained dairy as if I wasn't serious. Seriously, I immediately left and went down the street to another alley. Had an amazing time.

This place is great! But they recently updated their DDR games and now they're 1000x less amazing!

I like the video games but the cost of everything else scares me more. Coin pushers usually get us the most tickets.

Day after X-mas is the official holiday for the Smith Family, so I went to celebrate & continue the positive spirit of bringing in the new year 2025.

Claw machines were fun, but rarely restocked. There were often times we had to track an employee down for help.

It was very clean and was not too busy. There are lots of things to keep the kids busy. A little high priced but not too bad

This Places Is A Gamer True Man Cave I Did Even Want To Leave This Place They Got Games,Bowling,Pool,Food,Bar Perfect Places To Bring The Family's And Kids.

This place is awful and i will never come here again. The food and drinks counter seems to be over staffed with people who don't know how to work a register. I waited in an unmoving line for 30 minutes while they were just taking care of one person.

Super fun! Went bowling and played the arcade games as a group and had a blast. Things were a bit pricey but otherwise great!

Seemed awesome... Wait time 4 hours!!! Edit: Finally was able to return, place looked amazing until you realize that a significant amount of the arcades where broken or turned off. The UFO CATCHERS are ALL rigged, countless times I saw people play without the slightes chance of winning. Two people I saw catch a small prize, and the first one fell out due to a loosened claw, the second fell off once it reached the top part of the game due to all the shaking...

No stars for this place I'm already well over fed up with this place came here a lot cuz I thought it could be a fun place to spend some time with your friends and family but it's the whole opposite, do not recommend this place anyone that is not looking for any chances of getting discriminated, my friend (from Mexico) showed the manager her ID so we can have some beer and declined her ID BECAUSE IT WAS MEXICAN ID and not an actual Illinois ID which was Suspicious. On top of that some of the games don't wor

Lanes break down all the time, also do not like the string pins. Arcades and a wide variety of claw games are fun.

My girlfriend and I had a great time checking out the games and selection that they had to offer here. I hope that we can make a trip out in the future, we certainly thought it was almost as good as the one in Aurora which just happens to be our favorite. If you're in the area, looking for some fun, I'd recommend coming here for a fun time.

The menu options aren't even available, first and last time I come here. Everything is overpriced, not worth the money or experience at all.

What a lovely bowling amusement area. So what's not to love about this place. They have pool and bowling they allow you to bring your own cake for birthdays. Over all amazing the arcade games were fun. Had a wonderful time can't wait to go back.

Atmosphere great bowling great food good bar , NO one at bar NO BAR Tender. What's the point of having a bar if there is no one to assist you

i am 16 and it was 10:05 but didnt let the rest of the adults in? like get your shit together and hire better security

Update: 9/22 Gave them one more start for the new machines they brought ---------------- Update 6/22 They had "temporary hours" for months now. Must be hard to hire or keep managers. Saw a new manager today, was not impressed. A couple had tried getting a plushie but the head of the plushie got stuck. I know that when it gets stuck, it's not considered won but instead of the manager to reset the plushie so they can try again. He just left it like that! I understand from any NEW regular employee but not from

I have been here a couple times before and had a decent time. But on June 2,2024 I went for my daughter?s birthday. I got there around 4:00-4:15. Walked in no problem. Had been there for a couple hours so I decided to get something from my car with my 4yr old with me. I come back 7-10 minutes later the security is at the door asking for identification. I tell the guys when I first arrived I wasn't asked for identification. Two of the security guards started to say we do things by different times. From their

I'll start off first with the staff. They were great, super friendly, and helpful. The bar tender was a hoot. However, the "arcade" itself was in disarray. We had a green card for unlimited play. Note the 90-second cool down, which makes you need to buy more than one to play 2-up games. So, i went to play skee ball and it only had one ball. Played Pacman, and the joystick didn't work. Tried xgames snowboard and board didn't work...the character would only veer left. Tried guardiams of the galaxy pinball, a

Sinners was a great movie. Theater was clean and safe

Amazing place. 8 or 30 this place is for everyone of any age to have fun. Just swipe your card wisely lol. It's so addicting to just get carried away and swipe away. Semi easy to get prizes but not without a struggle. Spend wisely I've been 100 every time I go. They bowling, karaoke, food court, and pool. Here's Here's few pics of the prizes I've won over time

I had my daughter?s birthday party at this location. Everyone was very helpful and made sure our party ran as smooth as possible. Jonathan was a huge help and offered great service to us. I would highly recommend this location.

The customer service we recieved from the Frond desk associates and ticket redemption desk was outstanding! Joseph especially. Also a young lady who was working but I cannot remember name.

Great concept on claw machines that should have more items. Prices for some machines are too pricey. Not a bad place.

AVOID THIS PLACE! Family and I had a bad experience with the staff. 9 of us were bowled and they gave us 9 pairs of shoes. But charged us 8. Because of that our game was shorten. Blamed me for them not charging us 9. Also didn't like that you could only buy 3 alcoholic drinks.

This place is exactly what an arcade should be; arcade games that you either can't play at home or are super rare, and prize games that are difficult but actually possible. This place is game heaven and a thousand times better than a Dave and busters will ever be. Clearly based off of japanese arcades rather than American, so it feels like the brand goal is actually for you to enjoy your experience so that you come back.

They'll refuse to give you claw prizes if you win a lot. Lots of empty prize machines Bowling is super expensive. Almost $20+ per person

We both had fun The first time my son and I went to this place, it was terrible the second time we went, a machine stole my sons 1,000 tokens, the claw machines stole our credits, once we were done with tokens we had left I threw the card on the trash can, we would never go back to this place, Now I understand why so many bad reviews about this place

I had a lot of fun and the bowling games are interactive at certain points, it's pretty cool.

The discrimination is real against tribal minister indegenous card holder members. No fun for Nationals at this ROUND 1. I was polite respectable, and don't act intimidating or entitled. Im federally tax exempt. I will be filing a grievance, if youd care to reach out and resolve the matter that would help, I provided federal ids and proper acceptable documents. The manager even after trying to explain but couldn't, how is it only exempt for groups, tax exempt is just that, you can't pick and chose who can

Love coming to Round1. Everytime that I do,I win some jackpot on the various games. Also 8/10 I always win prizes out of the claw machine. This place is great for just visiting or for a party. There's also bowling and pool available. Give this place a shot it's amazing.

Very nice place , nice having a big selection of arcade games when not knocking down some bowling pins, drinks & food are great too , 10/10 would recommend this bowling alley

Fun place, cheap drinks. Lots of arcade games however there were several that were out of order

Will steal your money but in a very fun way. Staff was nice.

Pretty decent Round1 location. You've got a solid hallway full of claw machines, mostly Western-origin arcade machines, and a decent number of Japanese arcade machines (Chunithm, other rhythmic games). The food is overpriced, but that's a given with arcades, so it gets a pass. Many of the claw machines have weird mechanics, such as picking up and dropping ping pong balls onto an egg platter. The prizes in the vending machines vary little and usually consist of ~10 of the same set of plushies repeated. I'll

The Staff I got not complaints yet the lady cashier was nice is my second time going ,Is Fun Drinks and The Food is Decent but Tokens card value for some games and machines an arcades are high pricey to be honest if you don't mind is still good place to visit even have Japanese arcades and variety of different and common ones. Also has bowling even pool tables.

Since it was super cold out, we try to have fun indoors with the whole family. I called ahead of getting there and I was told the wait for line to bowl was 30 mins to an hour. Long story short once we arrived the customer service was great no issue in that, it was more that once we arrived the wait was 3 to 4 hours ???? if it wasn't just for that. The place is great, honestly, I would recommend. Just the wait for the bowling lines are too long. Otherwise we had a great time!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
