This was my first time here, I had an amazing time. I felt like a kid again. The amount of games to play I was shocked. The bowling ?? was $32 bucks for 4 of us to play including your shoes , a really good price. I'll definitely be going back with my grand babies and my husband to play.
We went on a whim, Saturday night with some friends that were here from out of state. The first thing was the security guard outside asking for an I.D. and checking our purses. Its cool they do that, but then again gave me a feeling they've had issues there before. We had fun, we only stayed 45 mind The games were fun, but I prefer Coconut Bowl. I can't wait for Dave and Busters to open up, that place is off the hook!
Fairly decent place to bowl with the family. The lights over the bowling alleys are quite distracting. Their bathrooms need some help.
Spent over 200 dollars on games and food and was told he can't fill me a water cup that I can buy a water/water bottle that they don't give out water. Ridiculous. Curly haired gentlemen with glasses. Super weird to be smug about something like that.
Great Job! Booked a party with (New Manager) Eric, who took care of me every step of the way ~ Round 1 is clean, the staff is friendly and the food was great, the party room had its own sound system, leather couches, everything was on time, the entire experience was perfect. Keep it up Round 1! We'll be back for sure!!! Jason Rich Reno, NV.
Honestly overall it's good for what it is, I've been spoiled on pizza though and theirs has that thin and greasy issue most places have which is the only reason it's not a 5 star. Has decent Japanese food, and ice cream. Definitely good if you're in the arcade already.
We were in town for a work function, and we stopped by for some bowling. Purchased the one hour of bowling and also purchased one of the deals for the arcade access, I believe I got the favorite, which was $50 for 300 credits. We had fun playing the Mario Kart game, but the steering wheels kept drifting to the right or left, which made our play difficult. Also, most games that are timed u pay around 12-15 credits for about 2-3 mins of play such as skeeball or basketball shooting, so ur games don't last too
If you're a gaming aficionado like me, stepping into Round1 Gaming Arcade is like entering a paradise of joy and excitement. I was immediately struck by the vibrant atmosphere, filled with the iconic sounds of arcade games, the chatter of players, and the visuals of LED lights. It's not just a throwback to the golden era of arcades, but a modern reinvention of the space with an impressive selection of games and activities. The first thing that caught my eye was the variety of games on offer. From classic a
Had a lot of fun. It's a little pricey but has tons of options for games. They have a nice bowling area along with karaoke, pool, full bar, and some good food. Again, it's pricey, but if you have the money, it's well worth it.
Good place to hang out with friends and family. Me and a few of my coworkers work nights at Tesla and not many places are open when we have off but Round1 is a good place since they don't close till 2am. Round1 has a handful of different things to do such as bowling, 8 ball/bar, karaoke, and the arcade.
I can't say enough great things about Jordan! From the moment we needed help, he went above and beyond to assist us. First, he helped us figure out a solution for our gaming card issue, making the process smooth and stress-free. Then, when we ran into a problem with a machine, he was right there, troubleshooting and ensuring everything was back up and running in no time. Not only is Jordan incredibly knowledgeable, but he is also super friendly and accommodating. He made us feel valued as customers and han
Ever sense the previous amusement manager left the vibes have been way down. The workers are like off putting and seem like they dont want to be there.. he was so nice and easy to talk to. He made me feel way more comfortable idk what exactly it is but I think I'll go somewhere else from now on.
the experience was below mid, even for a bowling alley. they have a whole bar, not one person working it. employees seemed to be bothered just to order food. i wouldn't recommend it to anybody. unless you tryna spend money aimlessly.
So my son had points, and the gentleman said he would be right with us. We have waited over six minutes and he decided to help other people who happened to walk right up and leave us standing there. Very unprofessional.
This arcade is awesome however I'm very disappointed. I go to school in Oregon so I'm not in town very often. My boyfriend and I were having one of our rare date nights we get as I live so far. I unfortunately lost my physical ID but I have a picture of it as well as a picture of my passport. We arrived at 10 pm which is when they require id (unknown to us at the time.) My boyfriend showed the bouncer his ID while I pulled up the pictures of mine. We were denied entry because they ?serve alcohol? (which we
Came here to play a round of pool. They say that they are open until 2am came in at 12am and after 5 minutes of waiting with no queue, they say that they're closed when it says that they are open for another 2 hours. It feels like a real slap in the face to get treated like this after going out of the way to come here. You'll be better off saving your time and gas money and not coming here.
This is a nice place to take family. Located at the end of the mall with hours ending at 2 am. The food prices are outrageously expensive and time play games could have a better selection.
Games are way over priced once you calculate the cost per game. Security is walking around giving everyone dirty looks. The air Hockey tables barely put out enough air flow to play. Alot of games don't wok or just eat points.
So, for pool players, they have five, regulation size (9 foot) tables. A rarity here and they're all in good condition. My table was level also, with good felt and rubber. During the weekdays, you can rent a table from 1000 to 1700 for $15. A very good deal and exactly what I did today. Perfect for doing drills or playing with some friends. Not sure what the rate is after 1700 or on weekends but the tables are worth it if you're a serious player and don't want to play on little bar tables. Didn't try anythi
Great fun for the whole family, Food and ice cream available to purchase, lots of fun games and points can be earned to win prizes. Bar also inside for the adults and pool area. Nice, clean and friendly staff. Must be 18 or over to enter after 10pm unless you have an adult with you.
I've only been here recently during this whole Covid 19 mess but it was a ton of fun. We pretty much had the entire place to ourselves. Can't wait to come back when more things are opened. The games were great. Love the view. And my kids loved it.
I stayed till 2 am. and spent 1000 dollars on toilet bowl toss. It was worth it. I got 3 tickets! 100/10 would return again!
I got kicked out for having a beer before I even got inside. The security guard was very rude about it. I won't be returning. They sell beer inside, BTW.
Nieces favorite place to go. Although, I catch myself coming with friends sometimes. Bowling, karaoke side missions available. Bring own stix for fun at bill yards. Needs better beer selection. Someone teach me how to win at the claw machines, pwease ????
A really nice amusement site with bowling and lots of Japanese arcade machines from claw machines to Dance Dance revolution! Prices for these games (from tokens to $) is steep but the prizes inside are really possible if you keep at it! Some even have hints for you to try no matter how crazy they may sound!
Great place when you use some of their specials. But without them it's pricey and better to go to boomtown price wise for the games.
Great games! Not going to lie, I was disappointed they don't have the daily/weekly special for bowling like we did the last time. It's a 4 star place for me! The ice cream cones are 99cents! Less than 5 dollars for a refillable soda cup, pretty good if u ask me. Plus every employee I've needed to help me were very kind and patient. Love it there!
Sensory overload in a good way, lots of great games. Just about all arcade games were operational. The price for games wasn't outrageous either.
I say this only because I haven't been to a D&B yet, but Round 1 makes Dave and Buster's look like, well, a BUSTAH. ?? I mean, c'mon people. The hottest games from Japan, bowling, pool, 2 spacious karaoke party rooms, tons of redemption games, worthwhile prizes, excellent and varied snack bar menu, awesome Digital Club, and a FULL LEGIT BAR with pinball machines a stone's throw away. Also, Round1 is 18+ after 10pm, and 21+ after midnight without a parent or guardian, and they finally close at 2am. If y
This place is really cool inside but the employees need more training. The app is advertised all over the place but when we asked to redeem a coupon that is in the app, they were clueless and tried to shoo us away. Seeing as how I paid for a year membership that comes with this coupon, I'd like to actually be able to use it. Positive is the dollar ice cream though.
Overall, its an OK place to take the family or break up the nightly routine with friends. There are lots of arcade games. The bowling lanes are ok, and the big screens with games on are a nice touch. Pricing overall is higher than a Dave & Busters or Coconut Bowl, and I wouldn't consider it a great value. Staff members are polite enough, but don't go out of there way to be helpful. The facility is very clean and well kept, and hopefully as time progresses it will stay that way.
Great place for newer games and some pinball. They have a timed play deal for a one hour play for $8 Sun-Thurs or $10 Fri-Sat for certain games, including all of the pinballs. Plays are via a charge card system with some rules if you have the timed play option. They're also open till 2am daily, but you cannot be a minor at those later times.
NOT WORTH IT! Took my wife and daughter for an arcade day and decided to try round 1. Bought the club car for $110 to get over 800 tokens, figured it'd last us a while. Then head to the bar for a quick drink. We had to wait about 10 minutes before I went and asked for someone from a group of 6 employees just standing around talking. When someone did come over it was a kid who seemed too young to work the bar with an afro crammed into his visor. He couldn't answer a single question without walking around th
Best place to spend your time affordable!!! And it has so much to do! From bowling to pool to the arcade games! I'm so happy they have maximum tune 5! Only thing is i hate is the glare you get from big crane games hey you can't beat the time play.
Great place to take the kids and go for a fun date night. It's highly recommended
I love this arcade, but the prices are wild. We always do the $120 option which now only gives you around 800 tokens. Most of the games that reward you with points to use cost 12.4 tokens, so it goes very quickly. Some of the games are 18+ tickets and don't even give you points. My biggest gripe is that the machines often do not give you what they claim you have won. We won a ticket drop bonus on a game where tickets dropped in to the tune of 2000+ and it rewarded us 900 and staff said it just does that b
The prices are crazy high for arcade games. You have to reload a card, similar to a debit card, that you swipe to play. You reload them at a kiosk. The amounts of credits that are available to load on the card are not equal to the amount of the cost of games. For example, if 12 dollars will get you 18 game credits, one game will cost you 9.15 credits, leading you to continually reload your card. The games cost a lot in credits. We were able to play one round of air hockey and tried to play one round of danc
This place is great, a lot of the workers are very friendly and helpful. The prices are iffy but other places do cost more depending on what you're buying. The food is surprisingly good. But the lady named Teri (?) and the male manager there in food are extremely rude. I have done retail so I know it's hard but even when there are a lot of workers to help they're still extremely rude. None of the other workers made us uncomfortable but them.
Round 1 is so much fun! We take the kids here for every birthday party and they love doing arcade games for hours!
Great place! My grandson and youngest son had a blast!! Plenty of games and even bowling!! Snack bat (wasn't open at the time) and nice selection to spend your tickets. Only negative was when we were looking for a ticket attendant, they were nowhere to be found. They eventually showed up. But they were nice and took care of everything Ina. Timely manner!!
Super Awesome Japanese Import Arcade. I'm jealous since the San Francisco Bay Area can't seem to handle operating one anymore, but Reno, Nevada can. Was really bummed out because Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune was out of BanaPassport cards. It was the entire reason for going. However my 4yo nephew still had a blast playing redemption games.
Had a blast with my kid. Ivie and Eric were both fantastic. I had some questions and they didn't rush me and were both very helpful. Some of the non redemption games were not covered under the unlimited play package. It would be nice to also be able to play some of the redemption games, without getting tickets on it.
Very nice Arcade with about everything you would ever want including bowling and pool. Staff was very nice and place was super clean. Will be back.
Affordable and real good time if you like claw machines this place has a bunch to choose from mostly skill to so you can win some cool prizes payed for 2 hours of bowling with 6 ppl and played to full games had a blast definitely recommend will be back
They're game are to high price to play but it's a fun place to go
Some of the staff are Amazing and the others not so great so it evens out.
I came here on a double date to play some pool and have a couple of drinks and food. Terri was absolutely rude to our friends who have a 5 month old child. Our friend had their 5 month old child at the table and Terri said children werent allowed and when she was told that its a 5 month old baby that obviously the drink wasnt for the less than 1 year old child she backed off and served us. She had her cigarette and lighter on the ice machine next to the register and when she rang them up she grabbed her ci
Worst place ever? Bad service, food is way too expensive 35$ for a what looks like a medium pizza?? Hell nahhhh!! , wayyyy too expensive, 14 credits for one try at the crane?? That's 3.50$? wtf!!! Definitely will not be going back,
Found it by happy accident. We've always wanted to try the one in Tucson when we visit but hadn't had a chance. It is such a great idea and we enjoyed ourselves. My husband was overjoyed to find a row of real pinball machines. Looking forward to returning.
I did enjoy they have a bar section. I ordered the cosmopolitan and it was delicious. The games are overpriced though. I probably will only come back to bowl but the arcade games are a total rip off
This is a great place to take the kids while in reno, staff is friendly, games are new and fun, place is clean and they even have bowling!
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Shut down both or our 2nd games because 1 4 year old child out of our group of 7 people didn't have 2 games paid for but the system allowed it to go through and somehow it was our fault and we got our games shutdown. We talked to the child that was the manager tonight and he couldn't refund us our money or give an explanation why all of our games got shut down.
Fun games, a little pricey, tidy for the most part but the staff is extremely inattentive. 3 different times I came to the counter as they walked past repeatedly and ignored that I was waiting there. Very disappointed!
Fun place and if you go the first 2 hours of their opening, you have a very relaxed experience without all the children. Mario kart and pinball for the win!
The review is for the little food court inside the Round1 , I had awful food there starting with the burgers I order ,the onion was hugeeee and one tomato was like 2 inch cut lol the lettuce was black on the edges with dirt (so definitely not washed) ,my order was wrong I was missing items on my other burgers .I order a salad and what I got was the cherry on top ,it was a full green leaf on my salad ,kinda folded with the topping on top ,literally a full green leave not even chopped and a ton of black olive
Amazing Japanese style arcade with bowling and a full bar. We loved it, the kids loved it, definitely will be back.
Had a blast with my partner the few days we were out in Reno together! A worker named Jose was extremely helpful, helping me retrieve prizes from the machines quickly and overall just being really on top of his work! His help definitely elevated our experience, and we'll definitely be coming back!
We've been here twice to celebrate birthdays. It's clean and the food options are good but we were disappointed this last time with the communication around party options. My husband called ahead of time to try and reserve the advertised room and price per person to bowl, game and eat. The person who answered the phone said if we reserve a party that we wouldn't be guaranteed a bowling lane at the start time and made it sound like it could be a disaster to try and do this with a bunch of 9 year olds. We tri
Its not like the Japanese Round1s but is pretty good. We went there for bowling and honestly the machines kept messing up our scores, it would knock down random pins, sometimes the erroneous count by the machine would count in favor or you and sometimes against you and we enjoyed ourselves with their faulty bowling machines because it added an element of unknown variables lol
My gf and I went bowling and paid for an hour and got a picture of beer. We decided to play another hour and get more beer. However we were being stalked and harassed and interrupted during our time there over a wrists band posing to be a form of government ID that says on wrist band as such. My gf and I got harassed about wearing it multiple times and then it got annoying and put in on her shoe. Our real government issued ID was already checked and was wearing the band. No where in the policy does it state
Best place in Reno a little pricey but still lots of fun.
Great spot to hang out. The rhythm game selection is incredible and affordable. Chunithm and Dancerush Stardom are two of the coolest arcade machines I've ever seen. If you ever enjoyed Guitar Hero 15 years ago, you should try some of these games. They're very cool. Press Start has an actual Guitar Hero arcade machine if you're looking to play that specifically.
It was my first time going through Round 1 Howling $ Amusement. I was pleasantly surprised with the place. It's definitely a family oriented place, their's a lot of games to play with for children and adults alike. There's food and drinks, There's bowling for children and adults more games than you can shake a stick at. (Excuse the pun.) Over all I could and would like to take my kids there if they were still under age. Go and see for yourself if you choose and enjoy the experience. Round 1 Bowling &
I went with some friends from work and we had a BLAST! So many fun crane games, bowling, and arcade games. But what really made the experience great was the staff. Every person I met was very kind and really cool. We only had one game not work properly and the staff were super quick to give us a refund. I'm already planning my next date night here with my boyfriend. Highly recommend!
STAY AWAY! Do not go here if you're not white. This place is racist and does not care about customer service. First, they gave me 640 credits when I paid for 825 ($110). I went back and asked. And no apologies at all after it took them over 5 mins to figure out what they did wrong. Second, i needed a refill on my soda and the worker said one min, walked away. Came back and said one min. Then came back and asked what i wanted. I said just a refill. Then she saw some white people come up to the guest counter
It's okay. Kids work there. They're not too smart nor do they care about customer service.
Games are way too expensive. They need to lower the credits on each game. You purchase a game card for $33 for 173 credits and the machines are 9, 10 and some even 12 credits. Within 30 mins all 173 credits are gone. They need to at least drop the machines down to 5 or 6 credits each so more playing time is involved and able to try out all machines. I bet they would make more money this way because more people would be here longer if they can play longer which would make them reload their cards a 2nd time
I know I'm an adult, but my inner gamer 12 year old self loves this place. Thank fully I married a gamer because this is one of our favorite date night places to go.
It's a fun place to go with friends and family but a lot of the games and credit kiosks are broken in some way, shape or form. To start, 3/4 of the credit kiosks were out of order. Two of the shooting games we played had guns that were completely non-functioning which essentially made us waste credits (House of the dead and tomb raider). Two of the racing games we played had problems with the steering wheels (Mario Kart and one other). The beer pong game had several cups ripped off of the machine. Also, som
Favorite arcade in reno, with bowling and tons of games plus the Meadowood mall is connected to it!!
Its was clean and staff was actively making sure the machines are working
It's ok here, pool tables are not competition but you get a consistent shot. Food is edible but nothing to brag about. There is a full bar and bowling, I have not used either.
I didn't know this was here until yesterday... In all honesty, I don't go to the mall that much except to go to Macy's or Victoria Secret but my son showed me this place and it reminds me of fun centers in Asia ??. Bowling is decently priced and it has a ton of games. Will definitely have to bring all the kids here for a day of fun ?? On top of that, the staff was very nice and friendly.
this places need staff and up keep. also the app for this place here at this location sucks doesn't work and the staff dont even know it exists complete joke the pool tables are meh old worn out.
Great hours, engaging staff, my favorite thing is the mix of games, you can bowl and play pool here as well as pinball. They have food and an open bar. There's also prizes to earn by playing games and redeeming tickets. Best place to take your kids around this area too!!
Great fun place to be. The mall not only for shipping but an huge arcade area right next to the food court, great combination
Super cool with lots of options for all ages including arcades
Daughter and grandson bowled a game, grandkids had a great time in the arcade. Nice cool place to spend several hours. Clean restrooms, helpful staff, big menu of fast food. Exit directly into the mall. What more can you ask for on a lazy afternoon
Awesome arcade fun and bowling fun for the family love this place always a go to with family and friends
Every employee except the manager and the blonde bartender are incompetent. The security guard that is overweight and is a dirty blonde reeks like BO, it was extremely offensive just simply walking by her. She was also extremely rude and I think she might be racist. Not a pleasant experience, we will only be going to fun quest at GSR now.
Tons of claw games! Lots of stuffed prizes. Tickets seem to be a secondary way to win prizes. I enjoyed the 99 cent ice cream! That was delicious. My daughter's ordered tea's. My 19 yr old had a blast and hauled home double arms full of prizes on her birthday! Most games cost over $1... sometimes up to 8 credits. Game cards are now loaded at 12,22,32 increments. $2 to purchase a new card.
Love this place. Love bowling, love the arcade, haven't tried billards yet, but it's on the to do list! Food is decent, and bar is amazing. Shout out to Esteban for making my daughter's night. Such a nice guy. 10 out of 10 would recommend this place to a friend.
Went there for a team building event held by my employer, so I have no idea what kind of value for the dollar this place offers. It is big, bright, and has a feel like a local version of D*ve and Bus*er's. The pizza was surprisingly good, the bowling alleys were in very good condition, and the staff was friendly.
I was there last night. My girlfriend and I ordered food. On one of them is was chicken. They the food was handed out to us my girlfriend cut the chicken tender in 1/2. We notice it wasn't well cooked. We reach out for the person who took the order and show him the condition of the chicken. He said, he was going to take it back and warm it up. When the chicken was Brad back to as it was still not cooked. I went up to the register, while my girlfriend was explaining to the cooker that the chicken was still n
Not a bad place to drop your kids off. Food and drinks are a little expensive. The ticket store charges a little too much for their prizes Edit: went on 6 Oct. Ordered a s?lice of pizza, fries and a Coke. So far, Over 45 minutes later and no food. Two people that ordered after me got their order
Place is pretty cool there's is something for everyone
We went there for a birthday party. The kids were all given two cards for the use of the games. We had pizza and wings for the party that was made by the small restaurant in the building. They also have an ice cream shop too. The games were very fun. The kids had a great time.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
