I always enjoy every moment of going to Round 1. There are so many awesome American and Japanese arcade games to play, not to mention it even has a bowling alley, karaoke, billiards, ping pong, darts, food & beverages which friends can enjoy having fun with! Most definitely highly recommended to friends so that they can have tons of fun because it is an awesome place to go to, not to mention it's a Japanese family entertainment center! ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Be sure to check the waitlist for the activities you'd like to do. I went last weekend for a birthday; bowling had an hour long wait, but it took closer to 40 minutes. And karaoke had a 2 hour wait, but it took closer to 3 hours. The workers are happy to rearrange the crane machine plushies if you're having a hard time.
I'm not a pizza person, but the pizza HERE was some of the best I've ever had!! Unfortunately, some of my friends had a problem with a bar tender that threw off the night, but he was nice our first go round! The bowling experience could have been better. The 2 lanes we rented kept breaking down, but the overall experience was likable.
Round1 Lakewood is alright. Bowling alleys were clean and so are the arcade machines. However, I did notice that the rhythm games need to be tweaked (particularly Pump It Up Phoenix). The dance pad has low sensitivity and the cabinet?s speaker needs to be replaced. If you are a rhythm game player, I recommend R1?s branch at Punete Hills.
I've always loved arcades and knowing that they had so many cute options for stuffed animals made me more excited. My brother and I stayed there until we got the ones we wanted. We were struggling to get this yellow kiwi and so he consulted with the rest of the ones we won to get the last one lol. I totally recommend coming here, the games are fun and there's also bowling and karaoke.
Went on a Monday night and it was busy but not slammed. Some bowling lanes were still open and some billiard tables as well. Food and snacks are good. The arcade has a lot of Japanese style games available that I haven't seen anywhere else so that was cool but the arcade is very pricey compared to other places. Still a fun place to check out with friend or family.
I went with a few friends and family and we had a good time. It was crowded but we were able to shoot pool. bowl 2 games and sing karaoke from between the hours of 7pm and midnight. The pizza was decent and the beer was beer. The staff was pleasant and patient. The bowling she's have seen better days.
Love coming to round 1. Lots of parking and alot of staff around to help out and they're really friendly. Obviously it's all alittle high up with prices but it's to be expected at an arcade. They offer bowling, pool tables, karaoke, ping pong, and of course arcade games and claw machines. They do sell food and drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic). It does get pretty warm so be aware during the summer time.
First of all I live in Inglewood and one of my friends was coming down from burbank to visit and I suggested round 1 THINKING that by the time we got there which was around 10:30 or so they'd still have karaoke , bowling and pool available .. UNFORTUNATELY they were closed for everything except arcades and claw machines.. he drove more than thirty min to get to me and another thirty or more to lakewood so we could bowl and do karaoke but that just wasn't the case .. because they were short staffed and decid
This place was fun. it has great customer service. It's clean. In the mall. Some food options. And if you have a problem with a card, game, or anything, someone is there to help with a smile
Don't try to just show up on a random Saturday night. To do anything besides arcade, you should arrive 2-3 hours before and put your name on the list or you will be waiting all night and possibly won't play at all. It gets crowded really fast. The food is decent, the cheeseburger was actually pretty good. Karaoke was super fun and we split our party so we could experience both. Bowling round finishes before karaoke, so keep that in my mind, you get more karaoke time. Parking is free and easy. And after a
The place is great for spending time with friends or family .. The only thing I can't stand is...I went here and there are 5 or 6 bowling lines open... I went to the front to get my line, and they told me there was a 2-hour wait... And they "recommended" playing around with machines in between waiting, kinda sus, so you will spend more money there,
My friend had won a plushie and was greeted rudely by a staff member that I called over saying ?hey! My friend won over there? and was just gestured at rudely to go away and then rolled their eyes at me. Then on top of that we are avid round one goers and all of the games are set to a much more extreme payout than other establishments. The variety of games is also minimal with many of them being labeled as out of service which is again unfortunate. We would have liked to look for a manager to speak to but t
Good place to throw a birthday party for kids. It's fun and cost effective, pizza was delicious too. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bowling shoes were clean and in good condition. I had 4 lanes, in 2 lanes the bumper guards didn't come up, that would be the only negative. Overall we had a lot of fun, I would come back for sure.
Overall a very good destination for food and entertainment. They have several options including karaoke, pool tables, bowling and an arcade. One of the only places in LA county that has a Wangan Midnight: Maximum Tune 5dx. Every interaction I've had with the staff was friendly and helpful. For the older crowd they have adult beverages. The only reason I didn't give it a five star rating is the lack of healthy options on their food menu.
Spectacular place! Fun place to go bowling, and a big variety of arcade games. It has become our go-to place for bowling and arcades. This place is more geared toward adults with kids. They also have pool tables and food, but we usually don't use these amenities. Prices are very fair. Good times.
We had an amazing time at Round One! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Alex, who provided outstanding service and made us feel so welcome right from the start. Over at the food and beverage area, Savannah was an absolute jewel?kind, attentive, and incredibly helpful. There were six of us in our group, and we all had the best time. We made sure to arrive earlier to take advantage of the 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. special, which was a fantastic deal. The atmosphere was lively, the bowling lanes were i
It was great my kid had blast and me too. Playing bowling was fun
This was my first time at this place. It's very good. It has everything if you like to gamble. It has tables. It also has a bowling alley for bowling lovers. It's a little expensive, in my opinion. It also has a particular aroma that's not very pleasant for some people with a sensitive sense of smell. It has a very, very sweet, very unpleasant aroma, which is why I would not return to this place. Thank you.
This location has a lot of claw machines and the prizes is very well stocked. FYI as of Feb 2022: this location doesn't currently accept the game cards with a white stripe on it but plan to allow it in the next 2ish months. The manager is very accommodating and will provide a card that works without the fee.
Air condition was broken and it was about 80? They had a lot of games to play but the prizes were expensive. Food was okay. Having to wait to get a drink was a nightmare. 1 bartender for a Saturday night? 1 drink per ID. Just need the air fixed and more bartenders.
Family fun. Food and drunks a little pricey. Lots of kids and teens.
Experience was killed within the first 10 mins ! Our table was filled with the previous party's dishes I walked up to the staff member (Alfred)who was next to the trash cans and asked if he could call someone to clean the table. He continues to tell me he would call for someone yet continued socializing. 5 mins later no one has arrived , keep in mind our time was already rolling. I walked to the register where I paid to ask a different attendant to call for someone. They radioed the same gentleman I asked p
Our first time here, plus hosting a birthday celebration and my daughter had a blast! Thanks to the staff for their friendly welcoming, party package was very affordable and well set up from having our table and lanes ready while having the open grace period for our party to fully arrive, and being able adding extra time beyond our original time booked. Food options were great and arrived right on time, staff continuously checked up on us, keeping us in the loop for openings. Bar was of big convenience. A
Feels like a sauna in the bowling area. I advised management and they stated it's always this hot. All this money we spend here just to be sweating my butt off.
Machines always broken. Machine like zombie water gun game needed a water refill so it ate my credits so I had to go get help. The claw machines have like Vaseline rubbed on them or have loose grips. They're are constantly moving machines around. Update 5/2024 So many machines still broken like the bowling game, claw machines, SpongeBob VR game and many more. Claw machines scam needs to be fixed. Staff are rude and definitely have no sense of sincerity or friendliness. Definitely need better customer servi
I love this arcade place because it has the ghostbusters arcade game there. I wanted to play to get high score for capturing all the ghosts for 500 bonus and it's super fun!
Me and my son jack went here it is so fun the karaoke is so great it has almost all of my and my sons favorite songs the Japanese arcade games are the best arcade games the claw machines have the best rewards for hard work
Pizza, beer ?? and chicken ?? wings are very good ??, games ?? and fun for kids ??
Its overall fun, but the management needs to fix the damn arcade already, in the arcade there are a lot of rigged games especially the 1-claw games, half of the machines are broken or constantly need to be reset by employees because they don't work right and you lose credits off your card. They need to hire a person to fix the damn machines already. I've been there a few times already and there are so many Disappointments... those claw games are purposely loosened so you will lose 99% if not 100% of the tim
IF YOU LOVE CRAINE GAME'S YOU'LL LOVE IT HERE ! BOWLING TOO ! NICE BAR !
RIP OFF, HOT, PACKED, RIGGED, RIDICULOUS. Just to enter the building security needs to see your ID and metal detect you down. This isn't a club it's literally an arcade. Bowling waiting list is closed or 2 - 3 hour wait. The claw machines are a joke - they never pick up the stuffed animals yet charge a bunch of credits. JUST GO TO DAVE & BUSTERS it's a million times better.
First time coming to this round 1 and Alex checked us in and made our experience very comfortable! Was very helpful and welcoming and def made our experience smooth!
Best space for an arcade in las vegas. This place is a must go! Dont forget to sign up for rewards as u can get free games, bowling, pool, even food items!!
Convenient restaurant, bar in the hotel. Walking distance to shopping center, bus station, train station, is middle of town.
It's okay, alright selection of rythmn games. The bowling is alright. The food is alright. I wish they did not get rid of the second IIDX cab
This was our first time here and it was the worst experience. First they don't have Women?s size shoes so you have to guess what size you would be in a mens. It took me three times before I found a pair that fit. Next they put us on lane 6 and the lane was wet due to it raining and the ceiling leaking. Then they put us on lane 12 and our balls kept getting stuck. After the third time the staff had to come fix our lane we asked them to move us. They put us on lane 19 and the bumpers didn't work. They moved
Nice place to spend time with the kid good food also....??
Rhythm games all over the place. If you looking for DDR or Pump it Up, It's a good option. The pads are working decently (but there is no maintenance) and most of online ranked games are connected. Prime 2018 is Offline though, and it's like they have no plans on fixing it.
We went solely for the arcade. It's expensive and HOT inside?dress light, especially if you're sensitive to heat. However, if you're looking for rare Japanese rhythm games like my party was, you'll be in heaven. I'm giving the place 5 stars just for their selection: they have Taiko no Tatsujin, Sound Voltex Exceed Gear, Project Diva, Beatmania, Groove Coaster, Wacca and a couple others I can't think of. The rhythm games were all 6.4 credits, 12.8 with 2 players. They have some plushie machines towards the
I love coming here all the time. From the arcade to the bowling area. I recommend coming during weekdays and as early as possible as it's usually not that busy during those times.
Round 1 Bowling and Arcades is a hidden gem in Long Beach and I kind of want it to stay that way, but I do need it to stay in business for a long time so here is this amazing review we have had a few bday party's for our kids here and it is wonderful with stellar customers service Jose the party coordinator goes above and beyond and is a pleasure to work with.
minimal cranes and they close early. San Diego and Temecula are the best
I HAD NEVER HEARD OF THIS PLACE UNTIL TODAY. MY GRANDSON WAS SO EXCITED TO GO SO WE WENT TO CHECK IT OUT...??? WE WENT TO THE ONE IN LAKEWOOD MALL. FIRST I HAVE TO SAY THAT THE STAFF HERE ARE AMAZING. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE YOUNG LADY THAT STANDS BY THE PRIZES WAS SOOO EXCEPTIONAL. WE HAD A PROBLEM AND SHE HELPED US OUT RIGHT AWAY. ANOTHER GENTLEMAN HELPED US OUT IN THE AREA OF THE BASKETBALL THROW AREA...NO BALLS WERE COMING OUT BUT HE CAME AND HELPED OUT MY GRANDSON RIGHT AWAY. THE WHOLE EXPERIEN
EDIT: There is currently a widespread boycott against Round1 corporate as of May 2025 Arguably one of the worst Round1's in SoCal, but not in the ways you'd think. The first thing you'll immediately notice is the lack of proper air conditioning and ventilation. Room temperatures average 80?F+ in the Californian summer and it's guaranteed you will sweat within 30 minutes. Possible impending OSHA violation. Moving on is the arcade. This is a Round1 so you will find games you can't play anywhere else in the
Thank you Alex for being a wonderful host and accommodating. Had a great time and the all inclusive package was definitely worth it. Will definitely be doing another party here in the future. Give Alex a raise!
Round 1 is definitely not worth the money you have to spend for everything. The arcade has many options of video games and claw machines. Issue is that some of the games break easily - plus to that is they have a guy who is great at fixing them. I bought like 150 credits for $30 and the average credit requirement is 10 credits. Tickets are super hard to earn because of how many credits you have to spend. The employees are constantly busy so you'll be lucky if it's not busy. Bowling was great, wish it was ch
Customer service with planning a party is horrible. It makes you book online with available slots. Charges you automatically for half if the event and then they call a day later to say they don't have the availability. now it is going to take 5-10 business days to get my money back.
Had a great time at Round 1... We showed up at 11 am on Sunday Cinco de Mayo and it was almost empty!! We decided to bowl first and we had a blast!! Then we decided to eat pizza which was pretty good too... From there we decided to play at the arcade... We got my son a member card which gives you free credits... Loved it here...
Love playing my tap rhythm games here! Aside from the arcades, there's a karaoke spot which can be busy at times. Very spacious rooms and plenty of seating. This place only plays Spanish and English music from what I know. Microphones and speakers could be better?
Can get crowded. Prizes are cool. The plushies in the machines are good quality and not cheap. Machines take a while to pay up. Employees are friendly and helpful.
Now fully open ?? We had do much fun at this location. Must wait in line to purchase cards & refill cards and its quite small but otherwise a great variety of games for all ages. This location also has bowling, pool & karaoke!
We had a terrible experience at this location the employees are very rude Jose and the store manager Alfredo . I was speaking with the store manager about his employee JOSE and instead of him giving us an apology he defended him and thought it was ok . Never will I recommend anyone to come here??
It was great genuine interesting Def gonna go again with my boo who's not my boo yet
I mainly play claw/crane machines, so my review is based off my experience with those. The amount of machines is similar to the one I live nearby, but the staff definitely up keeps and maintains them a lot better. Also thanks to Sandra who let me trade a Hello Kitty color that I had one previously. I'm usually nervous about asking for favors at Round1's for something like that, so the friendliness was really appreciated. The games being between 7-10 one the UFO catchers is really fair considering the skill
This is a family bowling center with pool and games for everyone. Open until 2 am. Very reasonable prices and happy hour for drinks.
It's was dope haven't been to the Lakewood Mall in yrs nice to see what they done with it the arcade was dope
First time my son had a birthday party here. The manager Luis had exceptional service once we arrived and to the end. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this place for parties so efficient and it was easy.
I went there for the first time just to bowl. I was not impressed at all. Firstly, all of the bowling alleys are charging way too much for only one hour of bowling. We went without a reservation and was told that it would be 1.5 hour wait unless we wanted the VIP bowling. We tried the VIP experience which the only benefit provided was the light experience on our lane showing our scores each time we were up and no wait. We tried to have drink service and was told that we had to get our own food and beverage.
This is one of the coolest yet most affordable places to go with your family for about an hour of game play and one entire bowling game and the three shoe rentals I spent about 60 dollars for a family of three and had a blast. I would highly recommend bringing small ones and dates here as it's affordable clean and safe.
Fun place for the family. A little pricey in the arcades but still a great place to enjoy. The food was good.
Time flies when you are having fun and that is no exception at Round1. This was my second time here and we rented a room for two people for $25 onna Saturday. We sang about 10 songs in both English and Spanish and we had a lot of fun. The staff is also very nice and let us finish the last song when time ran out. I would love to come with a larger crowd for a longer amount of time. I highly recommend it.
Overall it was a fun experience. You win a little, you lose a little. There's a variety of games to choose from.
Fun place to bowl! Clean and they have a decent arcade. I would give 4 stars but there was a promotion going on that included a pizza along with a pitcher of beer or soda. I went to order my pizza and the cashier never once mentioned there being a promotion. After ordering my pizza I went to the bar to order a pitcher of beer where the bar tender let me know of the promotion but by then it was too late so I had to spend much more getting the items separately.
I always come here. Staff is so helpful and kind. My kids love coming here! I stand by this review but they've gotten even better! More prizes and more perks when you get the black card! Love coming here hehe
I came back here and enjoyed it more than my first experience. They have a bunch of new games and have even upgraded the prizes. Excited for my next go around.
What a great experience celebrating my daughter?s birthday at Round 1 Lakewood. From the onset, the entire experience was amazing. The entire staff was courteous, professional and friendly. Special thanks to the wonderful manager Alex and our coordinator Lulu. They were always available and ready to help to ensure the party is a success. The food was fresh and tasteful. Great vibe and lots to do including karaoke, bowling and games arcade. Highly recommend this place specifically for kids and teenagers. We?
Got more expensive and their machines are calibrated with insanely high payouts
This place is cool but the last few times I went coming out of work showing up there around 10/10:30 when they close at 12 all their registers were closed for the night apparently including the bar and food as well when the place is still so full most of the time workers are nice but it's an inconvenience to drive up there 2 hours before closing and can't do as much but play the arcade and some of their registers are closed as well ??
It was super fun and great for big groups. There's more than arcade and bowling at this location. But it can get really busy on the weekends
Fun place, but expensive to play. There are other arcades around the area that are similar ( not as big), but they won't break the bank.. Your money will go further.
The bowling is nice, I havent had the food. I've bowled and played some of the games. The games are alright but it seems like almost as if you're playing children's slot machines. If you're looking to get tickets, you swipe, and you're done in like 2 to 5 seconds. Some of the arcade fighting games are cool, not a big fan of the cost of credits. The "claw games" are about 9 to 10 credits. I put in $40 and got 180 or so credits. I played about 40 to 50 credits on the claw games, maybe more. I also played a fe
Good place to burn an hour or two with a unique arcade experience. Dont expect to win anything as most games are pretty chance based but its a good time! :)
First time coming here. I see, they have a lot of games and a bowling alley section. The only thing that sucks is that they had on the eliminate of games to play. I would think that they would have the games for kids separated from the adult games. When we got the card to play games, it was nothing but adult games. Nothing for kids if you're gonna bring your kids around. This is more like for teenagers. For the games there are certain games they have are for kids. But you can't use the card. It's only limi
Horrible staff waited an hour to get food nobody attended us will not be coming back rigged claw machine
had a really cool and smart mechanic fix a game i was playing on. he was super helpful and was really funny but nonchalant at the same time. i think his name was jeramy or jerome. hope to see him again soon
Yesterday evening, my party arrived at Round1 in Lakewood to do karaoke. We checked in at 7:45 pm and were told that it was first come/first served. The young man took my name and told me they would text me in which I'd have ten minutes to confirm and that the wait would be about an hour and that we'd better check for the text message because if we didn't respond to it within the 10 minutes, we would be skipped. As it was quite loud in the venue, I asked the young man to repeat himself. He seemed to bristle
Amazing experience.. I love the food! So fresh
Really fun place with good options and reasonable prices. But they actually close at 1 not 2. Last call is at 1, kiosks close at 1 and they make it very difficult to want to stay past 1. So.... The whole 21+ past midnight is kinda a bust.
Clean and friendly place. Haven't been there at night.
So glad that they brought a round 1 to Lakewood, I used to drive almost an hour away to Hacienda Heights to go to round 1. The only thing that's missing at this location is the individual private karaoke rooms. I bring my nephew and niece here when they visit, they're not a huge fan of arcades, but they LOVE round 1. We always have a great time.
It was super hot inside! Other that very fun !
The employees here are great and the place is usually pretty clean?would give 5 stars but my issue with this place is that the food and drinks here are underwhelming and overpriced, and the claw machines are money eaters. As a business I imagine these are their bread and butter, but it does make for a negative experience.
The arcade is fine. However lately the machines are weak with the grip. I do like the tiny claw machines they added. Loved all the plushies and keychains.
I have been there before and I did play a lot of videogames and Round 1 Bowling and Amusement is the best place I loved.
My favorite arcade to go to. I love the variety of music games and the claw machines. Staff is very friendly and I often see them cleaning. I've been to a lot of arcades, but this place still is my favorite!
Bowling, arcade, pool, karaoke, drinks and food. This place has a little bit of everything for everyone.
Round One bowling offers a decent bowling experience, but the atmosphere can be crowded and hectic, especially with a lot of young patrons who may bring some attitude. While the facilities are adequate, the noise and crowds can detract from the overall enjoyment. It's an okay option if you're in the mood for bowling, but be prepared for the energetic atmosphere.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
