I had an absolute blast at round 1! From the moment I walked in, the vibrant atmosphere and retro vibe set the tone for a night of pure fun. The menu was simple for an arcade. I tried the chicken tenders. As for the games, there was something for everyone?old-school favorites like Pac-Man and pinball, alongside newer interactive experiences. The machines were well-maintained, and there was plenty of space to move around without feeling cramped. It was a perfect mix of nostalgia and modern fun. The staff
This is my default round 1 location to go to since it's the closest to me. I love round 1 and I always have a great time whenever I go. They have some of the best, top of the line arcade cabinets and even some imports from Japan. Their claw machine prizes are unique and range from massive plushies to mini keychain sized plushies and figures. I've only had the food there a few times but it was passable for mall fair. I've never bowled but I do spend quite a lot of time in the arcade and it's super fun. The m
fun atmosphere, the food is so good there. The burgers with the fries as a combo is $13.99 the burger by itself is $6.99 the supreme nachos are a good hefty size. The chicken strips & fries are a filling meal. The bar area I usually get a schooner of beer for $13 two bottles of Red Stripe beer or Heineken in a big glass cup. My wife usually gets the truly glass for $7 or the Berry Sunrise on the Beach $13 or the strawberry long island iced tea which is also $13 overall for the arcade to earn points you h
I ordered off the self-service computer, it then gives you the option to pay at the counter. If I didn't go pay at the counter my order would never be made! Also, you can't buy alcohol if you're Canadian without a passport. I gave an additional second star because the bartender was pretty nice and I got one strike while bowling. Bars in Utah, a random grocery store in Maine, a single hot dog shop near Fenway Park, and now round one the select few who will not serve me one beer
This actually is a super awesome place and their food prices are great. Is open until 2 and it's just fun. The entrance is next to a giant bowling pin.
This place is sooo cool. It's literally like being a big kid. All ages but after a certain time it's 21 and up. Pretty pricy for an arcade but worth the money. Definitely will go again Update: I went again. Enjoyed it even more. The kitchen closes at a certain time as well. Great drinks as well.
Excellent place of fun for both children and adults. It has different areas. There are private places where you can hold your children's parties with a play area or simply take your children to play and have fun in other areas of the facilities. For adults, there is a bowling alley. There is also a billiard area or for those who simply want to watch or hang out, they have a bar where you will find many drink options. It is very pleasant and comfortable. Children really enjoy spending time there. There are m
EDIT (11/1/2024) I have returned to this location for the Hololive x Round 1 Collaboration, and as expected, the location was packed with people aiming for the prizes. The payout was set a bit higher than usual, but still reasonable enough to win multiple prizes within $100. I had some luck with my grabs and positioning, so i was able to win a lot from the machines with less than $100. Huge shoutout to the staff however, who were very quick with restocking machines and resetting prizes even though it was v
Inside a huge mall, payout and win rates are mid but friendly and helpful staff. Many new figures and plush haven't seen elsewhere, many skill based games. Many coin pushers, most all were working unlike other locations (had starwars). Might be one of if not the biggest round1 in the tristate area. Worth a visit if in the area, otherwise Middletown and Philly locations still better win rates. Overall a 3/5 mid experience. My winnings in the picture for roughly $150.
They have sonic sports which is awesome but pricy??
I was here for rhythmic games like Chunithm and SDVX. First time trying rhythmic game in arcades in US. The games were actually more popular than I'd expect. There were a few players at the cabinets when I arrived. The machines were in great condition. Price was good. The service counter was fast when I asked for purchasing new Round1 game card and e-amuse (for registering profile on SDVX). Although I wish to play more, the only drawback is that my apartment is too far away from any Round1s in this region.
Fun games but expensive! The bar service is just terrible! Waited over 25 min to get served! The guy bartender wasn't the most friendliness! Especially after waiting that long! Also no one in ticket room! Still fun place to bring kids!
My fiancee just saw Round 1 for the first time in the Holyoke Mall and we were just absolutely overwhelmed with all the games and everything the place had to offer. After looking around for a bit we decided to spend $40 and got quite a few credits. Yes some games are as low as 4 credits a some as much as 12 credits. But what's really awesome is that after you decide the amount of credits you want and after you put in the money you get a card and you can actually keep the card and come back and put more virt
It's such a good spot to let your kiddos run around and play. They even have rooms to rent for a party. I'd definitely go again
Great variety of games and entertainment. however, I find it a bit expensive. When it's broken down, claw machines are about $3.50, give or take a dollar, and all games that I saw are over $2 to play. I miss the quarter games like an arcade should be. Charging several dollars for one game turns into a very expensive trip, especially if you have more than one child! With today's prices, many can't do this because bills, rent, and groceries are priority, and I find that upsetting!
Good over all experience, place was clean and the food was just ok. It's a little on the pricier side, but that is expected being it's located inside a mall. Make sure to get an ice cream cone while your there, $.99 is a good deal.
I've been to this place many times and have had an awesome, fun experience. Tonight I was invited to a 43rd birthday party for one of my friends in the karaoke room. It was their first time stepping foot into this place. Started off fun. Then the fire alarm went off, and we had to exit. Fire alarm was coming from a closed restaurant on the other side of holyoke Mall. Was outside for maybe 30 minutes until we realized round 1 was the only one who shut down. Went inside the mall and waited infront of the arc
Just did a birthday party there and it was amazing. We'll definitely be going back! The food was great (get your wings plain with sauce on the side and they'll be some on the crispiest, tastiest wings you'll get from a party place). The party manager is incredibly friendly and attentive! You can't beat it for the price! The only complaint I heard was that the room was a little chilly, but it was literally 100 outside so I was happy for the cool air.
I absolutely love this arcade! Tons of machines, all in good working order. Fun, modern games; fun takes on old classics, lots of skill cranes if that's your thing. There are a few games in particular I really like (Pac-Man multi-player pinball, the goat climb, the giant screen one with the classic Bubble Bobble characters). All around a fun way to spend a half hour or so while you are hanging out at the mall.
Nearly every poor review of this place has to due with the staff and management, believe them, this place does not care about you, you might think the Yakuza has a dude in the office of this place making sure the manager or staff never offers decent customer service if it cost them a cent, games are good tho, but if your over the age of 21, I highly recommend freeplay in Worcester which is close by, they also have location Providence that I'm more familiar with, and I believe they are planning a location in
This arcade has a huge variety of games and activities. If you want to play the latest or most popular games it can be a bit pricey, but if you stick to the lower credit games you can play quite a bit and make your money last longer.
Lots of fun going here for both kids and adults. Mozzarella sticks were good but the marinara was cold. The unlimited play was a good value but wish it applied to more games - it's annoying to have to walk around to find what you can play with the unlimited. But the games are very fun and the whole place has a fun vibe. The VR stuff is really cool.
Good arcade, wide selection, imported Japanese 'Sega City' type machines with good selection of 90's games. Pinball machines are always in mild disrepair. Not a Stern Army location. Bowling is good. Food and beverages are mediocre. . . OK for a snack. Beer is available.
Cool arcade place... First time coming here had no issues... Atmosphere was nice, had plenty of arcade machines, wanted to try bowling and food/bar but we did not have enough time so I would say decent so far...
Huge arcade super fun and plenty of games to choose from!!! Staff is also really friendly.
Awesome! VR games are great. claw games are winable, prices fair fun for the family. Photo both take advantage of the memories.
It was great, I threw a company team building event. They took good care of us. The pizza was great. They made sure we had everything we needed. The lanes and shoes were clean. My teams had a great time. We are planning on attending again.
This was a fun stop on my trip from Canada! My friends and I spent quite some time here, from hanging out and playing arcade games, to some nice bowling! There's quite the selection of games here, normally a place like this is such a big deal that they have their own building. But this seems so much bigger and well out together, lot of fun!
Pretty cool arcade spot. My godson approves lol
Had a great time for my daughter 15 birthday ???? .We were well received despite not reserving a party room. It was a great time for 10 people.
Last night went out with some friends from 9 to 11. Ordered some food and a pizza, that came back Super doughy raw even. The hamburgers one of them was hard, Overcooked and dried out! We asked the manager to remake the pizza. She literally warmed it up and served it back to us. Talk about cross contamination. On top of the experience that was serviced. The price does not match the quality! I don't recommend anybody ordering food from this place. Their service is terrible. I spoke to two different managers,
Paid almost $200 on drinks and got kicked out for calling a girl beautiful. Men exist at your own risk.
This place is cool and fun. This is the kind of thing we need back where I live in Pittsfield. Then maybe it could be a more positive place than it is.
Round 1 is a bowling, arcade, and billiard amusement center that offers a lot of fun. Round one is located on the first level of the Holyoke mall with an outdoor entrance located at the red deck parking lot, and an inside entrance located at the top of the escalators that lead up from the food court. There is nearly every type of arcade game here including basketball skill games, shooting games, racing games, fighting games, prize games, and pinball machines. There is a prize center where you can redeem cr
Place was filthy and had flies around nearly every single table. Staff was very unprofessional and impatient. My 15 year old daughter, who's autistic, tried to order her own food and one of the workers, a fellow with a black jacket (an intern I'm assuming since his clothes didn't look like the standard uniform) was impatient with her and raised his voice at her once for getting nervous and confused since they didn't have a certain food she wanted. We left immediately after, never coming here again, treat ot
This place always has their games up to date. The only issue is the people. I believe it happened this year, but a fight has broken out and the person tried to hit another with the car. Went straight through the doors which caused the round 1 to close. The several times I have been there I never had an issue. It's the people that make it bad.
Impressive selection of arcades games and activities! Many UFO catchers crane games with typical prizes like in Japan as well as purikura photography booth. A bit pricy to play considering US currency, but it's reasonably possible to win for the crane games and other arcade games give tickets to win prizes
The whole thing is kind of gross. The arcade is a sad excuse for what arcades were. It's a mess with trash and broken arcade games. High school kids hang out in groups and come for confrontations with others. It's alright if it's not busy if it is it's just not a fun place to be.
One of the last arcades thay is still around. Great place to bring the kids for some fun and also to have birthday parties for your child.
A little bit overpriced for bowling, and the AC was broken when we went so we were sweating while we were bowling which isn't always fun (the guy that worked there told my husband that ?we will survive without it?) ?? but the arcade was a fun time.
Great place lots of fun- Went to a going away party and was impressed! lots of fun
Best staff ever!!! This location is clean and neat, there's a ton of variety of games from coin pushers to DDR to racing games to carnival games, but above all the staff shines. Huge shout out to the supervisors, the person who works the bar/concessions 10-6, the redhead with the cool nails, Ryan, Angel, and everyone else. Never had a bad time here, it's our comfort place, staff is always super helpful, friendly and responsive. Also the bowling lanes are some of the cleanest/best in the region.
This place is awesome is every gamers dream it has about every game you can think of and it is so fun I love this place I easily recommend this to everyone the place is clean staff is great they have awesome lights effects is like entertaining a whole new world definitely recommend
Have i spent thousands of dollars here in the past 4 years ive lived in the area? Yes. Have a regretted a single penny of it? No. I would chain myself to the giant bowling pin in front of the store if they ever tried to close and bulldoze it ala early 2000s environmenralist disney TV movie.
Great work event for Home Depot Freight Team everyone had a blast will definitely be back Thank you Gabrielle and Kerry !
If you love claw machines, This is the place to be! The machines are fun, fair, and filled with incredible plushies. I've never had this much luck anywhere else
This place is huge!! And with so many activities to do. From arcade to bowling and billiard. The arcade was fairly priced, but you will burn through them quick! I spent $32 to get 150 credits and a physical card you can use to swipe at the different games. The cost of each arcade game usually range from 4 to 12. Bowling was fun too! After 4pm it was $5.50 per game/person, and $4 shoe rental. What surprise me most is they got a freaking shoes-like vending machine/dispensary!! Very cool. Over all I had a grea
I had such a great time here celebrating my birthday. The karaoke and bowling is a nice addition to the arcade. I also love that it's open later for people who work during the day! I would recommend this place to anyone in the area looking to have some genuine fun with friends and family.
Reminds me of Dave and Busters. Way better than the Dave and Busters in Times Square! I love the variety of games. Basketball connect 4 was a sick game and a dope concept! My apologies to everyone I crushed in MVC2! I loved the arcade games they had available. I didn't eat there so I can't speak on that. But they have $1.99 beer and wine specials so that's dope too!
Wasnt worth the time, the games are structured by the tier of card you purchase and no one disclosed such at the counter.
I went here for my birthday, had $55 worth of points on my card, it lasted quite a long time! It was huge! The rhythm games there are mostly imported from JP. Was very excited to play project diva arcade ft! Also the UFO claws are great, you just need skill and techniques. Overall if i could i would give it 10 stars! (*???*)
Staffing and time management are a joke at this location. One poor employee running between the bar, the fountain drinks, deep frying food, redeeming tickets, helping customers, etc. 18 minutes to get a diet coke. 15 minutes to have someone show up at the ticket redemption counter. 20 minutes once chicken tenders are ordered for them to be cooked. Multiple machines broken and simply steal credits or don't put winnings onto you card after payout. All the crane machines have $100+ payouts for $12 plushies fro
So much fun! A ton of games to choose from. There were a lot of people there and we still didn't have to wait to use a machine for more than a minute. It was great!
Went here with my ladies and we had a friendly competition with who could win the most games. It was fun and clean.
Spent way too much money here but at least I had a good time and I wasn't smoking crack
Great place lots of things to do kinda expensive but worth it for a fun time once in awhile
Horrible experience! This was my second time coming here and that's only because there isnt much else around here. Bathrooms were disgusting!!! Wait times are ridiculous for food and drinks. (Took an hour for 1 scoop of ice cream) then they tell you that you can't have drinks on the floor and need to sit at the bar. They shut their card machines down one hour before closing so you can't even play games. This place had potential but management is running it into the ground. I will never go here again.
Fun atmosphere and all around decent place but it's very pricey. $4+ for a 20 oz soda and paid $22 for two people to bowl one round after shoe rental. Good place to hang at but be ready to pay a decent amount if you want to stay long
Despite been said as opened til 2. Arrived at 1245 trying to hire a lane for bowling. Was told that was not available by the associate as they needed to close. Took an uber from Portland to get here. Do employees make up there own rules or should we trust posted hours on website?
Good arcade selection, terrible food service. I went to the arcade in a small group of friends and we went to get food before we left. The workers at the food service counter never called us over the loudspeaker to get our food like they did with other guests, and as a result two of our orders got swiped. One of our orders was actually given to someone who ordered after us since we weren't up at the counter to get the food since, again, they didn't call for us over the loudspeaker. We waited 20 minutes for
Amazing staff!! I lost my phone in the store and the managers and other staff made sure to call and find it when they turned the machines off and brought my phone out to me at the end of the night as my friends drove us there from Vermont. I AM SO THANKFUL FOR GOOD PEOPLE. YEAH IM POINTING AT YOU! #GOTEAMHUMAN. You saved my silly self! Thank you!
Fun and entertaining for the youth but the place could be a bit cleaner
My family and I actually initially had a great time, not too many issues with the games, the food staff worked hard and they were friendly as well as the bowling attendants. We went to grab a bite to eat and returned in through the entry/exit that apparently turns into an emergency exit after 9 pm. There was no security there or rope to inform us, we were completely unaware. My nieces trailed behind us after using the bathroom and by then, the rope was up and security had yelled at them they had to go outs
Was a lot of fun. Lots of Japanese games and the crane games were great. Tried to order advertised drinks and were told they were not allowed to make them because they were out of coasters...stupid reason and false advertising.
I went with my family last week and had a pretty great time. I did everything bowling , arcade and billiards. Bowling is a little pricey but still worth it. I had some trouble with my game card and out of the two managers that I saw, only Dennis ( I believe his name) was able to help me out . He was super nice and funny. Definitely tried to connect with me while he was fixing my problem. Recommend Dennis all the way . Will come back soon.
Great arcade games but very expensive. Nearly all "round 1" arcades have "half off" days. Not this one.
One of the last true arcades out there, there is something for everyone! Arcade machines, bowling alley, pool, you will not be bored!
Round1 has lots of arcade games ?? ?? to play and bowling ?? alley and is open from 10am-1am.
Stay away from ordering food and drinks, only 1 person working. Claw machines are scams stay away from claw machines. This place is a Kids world if you can be patient with lack of service available.
This is a new family favorite spot. I got the pricy card and it was worth it because thr more you put on the more they give for free which is nice so instead of paying 2 for the lower car and only getting the basic flat rate, pay 5$ so you can get the bonus points for everything you buy. Will be coming down here as much as we can honestly.
Our family loves to bowl but the ENTIRE time we were bowling, there were strobe lights going all around. If you have any sensitivity to flashing lights, find another bowling alley. They told us there was nothing they could do and we have been to other Round1 bowling alleys where this does not happen.
Fun!! Pool tables good drinks ?? entertainment for all family members and friends good pizza ?? ?? and wings ?? ??
Incompetent staff that can't do their job right on the first try, and when they get called out on it the manager calls to throw you out. Didnt even bother to ask what happened, just threw me out. It's not my fault you suck at hiring people who are any good at their jobs and that you lack the spine to stand up for your customers.
We were there two days ago and although the games were amazing to play and my kids had fun winning in the claw machines, I was extremely disappointed and mad about the bathrooms. Both women and men's bathroom smelled like weed.
too expensive and treats workers poorly / always short staffed doesn't invest in quality of life improvements for staff or customers
Great for a birthday party or date night. Huge amount of games. Bowling is reasonably priced. Using cards instead of tokens for arcade games is really nice.
A lot of games and fun to do there. I love this place
A staple. Decent pricing with the max $$ credits. I will keep coming here as long as it's open, and as long as the arcade hook machines have legit prizes.
This place is a lot of fun! Way better than Dave and Busters or other similar places. It's because they have a much better game selection, including a bunch of wicked cool Japanese imports. None of these types of arcades are cheap, but with this one, it's money well spent.
Review of Round 1 Entertainment Center: I recently visited Round 1, and while my experience had its ups and downs, there's quite a bit to share about this unique entertainment spot. Firstly, the cost factor stands out significantly. The games here lean towards the pricier side, which might be a consideration for those planning a visit. It's definitely worth setting a budget before you dive into the fun. A notable aspect of Round 1 is its distinct choice of arcade games. They've opted for Japanese-style c
Great employees terrible bowling lanes (and management), went to bowl for 90 minutes got switched to 3 different lanes due to all of them not working. After the 3rd lane failure we requested a refund and they gave us bowling vouchers for 1 game (which did not include the shoes we paid for, meaning we'd have to pay again). We didn't even get to talk to the short male manager, as he sent his employee to be a messenger for him?so I lost $40.
I had a really good time with my sister dad and best friend can I have one request can you show me a photo of the claw machine with the teal pink and yellow squid plushie in there pls I want to know what kind of plushies those are
Lots of games including nice rhythm, driving and fighting game sections. Tons of bowling lanes, a snack bar and bar bar. Just a great arcade.
My initial impressions were that the place was a bit overpriced, like requiring you to buy a $2 card to load your credits on is ridiculous as I don't live nearby, so wouldn't often be there. Some games cost the equivalent of $3 per play as well. I was willing to accept this until I wanted to grab a beer. The bartender working seemed as if they'd never done the job. There were 2 people in line before me and they ordered a beer each and a shot. Unfortunately the keg kicked and the liquor they ordered had run
Worst birthday party ever. No air conditioning they had no idea a party was booked . Tables were filthy, cards weren't loaded then was told it was only for certain games, pizza was late and horrible. Contacted Bo twice and never heard back.
Reasonable pricing for the arcade for what you get out of it, excellent selection of game machines, crane machines, and prizes. Staff was very friendly, however, they seemed understaffed for a Saturday evening, which made all lines incredibly long. I had to wait in line for over 20 minutes just to get a refill on "soda" (water, but thought free refills would be nice prior to the line situation) because there was only one person working that counter. Maybe there were some call-outs or something, but I felt g
Great arcade and bowling place, kids love it and adults too!!
I went here for my birthday yesterday. Did the arcade and sang some karaoke. There were a lot of technical issues - mics weren't working properly and setting up the karaoke machine was tedious. We had to call the staff in a few times because of all the issues. On top of that, we were informed that we had to switch rooms since another party was supposed to be in our room. Lots of time was wasted and we were only supposed to be here for an hour. I forgot my ID and i came back today to retrieve it. The manager
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
