Round1 Bowling & Arcade Great Lakes Mall

This was my second time to Round 1. I really enjoy the experience. There is plenty to do for all ages and overall, it's really not that expensive. Games are ranging in difficulties and you either collect points towards the game shop, or you could win stuffed animals, or both! Pool, bowling, food and bar, etc. Definitely worth it. The place is massive, so even if it's crowded, you can't really tell as people spread out to different zones. I also appreciated the consistently clean restrooms.

My kids love it here and could spend all day. I love seeing them happy, so we try to go every couple of months or so. I like that there's an option to fill a card with different amounts of credits, and there's a good mix of games and claw machines. The bowling is really fun too.

Amazing place for a birthday party! We had our son?s 11th birthday party at Round One and it was so SO easy! They supplied the soda, pizza, hats, plates and cups and even the tablecloths in the color we chose. All we had to do was show up. The staff was great and kept an eye out to refill the soda pitchers so we never even had to ask! I recommend getting the 3 hour package - 2 hours definitely would not face been enough! This Round 1 in particular has gone downhill fast. I usually play the claw games for the anime figures. I usually can win 3-4 for $55 worth of credits. But not anymore. The claw machines are so weak and rigged it's insulting. They tape all the boxes and things you need to drop with double sided tape. The claw arms are bent and hardly close with enough strength to overcome their own weight. I just spent $30 in credits and didn't even come close to winning. I love this place. Great for kids and family time or going on a date. I'm addicted to their Japanese games. We left the arcade with a trunk full of anime figures from claw machines.

No surprise, it is a bit pricey and easy to blow through a ton of money for pitiful prizes. But you don't come for the prizes, you come for the fun.

This is one of my daughter's favorite places to have her birthday party. We rent a couple hours for a few private bowling lanes and about a dozen of her friends can bowl without disturbance. The package also includes a few pizzas and a small gift package for each kid. After you're done bowling, if the kids want to stay and play in the arcade, there is nothing short of thousands of machines to pick from lol.

I love going here, one of the best arcades in NE Ohio, and I've been going for over a year now. But this past Saturday, 4/12 was a shocker to me and my friend who went. There were at least a hundred highschool kids fighting in and outside of the arcade, but my biggest problem: management, protect your staff and security!! Had to show my ID to get in to a kid friendly place, and then two more times. Service was so slow. Way to much talking on the loud speaker. My husband was not allowed to grab me a drink. Way too many restrictions for something that's supposedly a fun place. Main event and scene 75 is way better more laid back and better place.

We had a fantastic night together with our family here! We appreciated the extra security measures taken while entering to ensure our family felt safe on a busy Saturday night. we especially appreciated the security guard near the bowling area immediately handling some teenagers that were not acting appropriately in the dining area. I used to LOVE coming here and playing the claw machines, but over the last year, nearly all of the winnable, skill-based claw machines have been replaced with E-Claw and Gemini Big machines which only operate on a pay-out system (it needs X number of plays before it's even remotely winnable). They have a lot of arcade games and bowling and what not, but stay away from the claw machines. Those are just designed to suck as much money out of you as possible. My sun had a great time. The staff were super friendly and our food was hot and affordable. It wasn't crowded because we went during the day because my son had the day out of school. For the both of us I spent a total of $110. I like to play a lot of games. Some families probably wouldn't spend as much. We spent $30 on food alone.

I'm mainly posting this comment on the other reviews. If you spend $30 and your kids use it in 10 minutes, thats your problem. Arcades are super expensive and your not meant to last very long in games, sometimes under 20 seconds. Don't blame them for not knowing how arcades work. Go buy a gaming console. As for the claw machines, again, its like being in Vegas, the house is meant to win. So yes, your going to pay way more just to win a stuffed animal then if you bought it outright. We took our well behaved grandson to Round 1 as a reward for his good behavior. Plan on spending around $22 for video games or other packages that include Bowling, ?? Billiards, and food and drinks. The games used to be much more winnable but now it's just gambling and hoping a claw machine stole enough plays to actually pick up a prize. Our party event was massively overpriced. Felt like a huge rip off since we could only get one play of a claw game. The experience was ok but the price was just painful. Won't be coming back. Just another way to get underage people into gambling early.

Great place to hang out or go on a date too. Lots of games varying from stand up standard arcade and dance games English and foreign to sit down driving ones and VR. They have bowling, 2 party rooms with karaoke. Food is great kinda pricey for me personally but I love the ice cream for $1 which kinda makes up for it. Love their rewards store and it's options, the ticket conversion rate is acceptable. Overall prices on most things are hard to beat. Only reason for 4 stars is be there are always like 3 games

I really do like Round 1. I think it is honestly better than Dave and Busters, the arcade games are great, especially the imported ones from Japan, the bowling and pool is also cool too! We went on a Saturday night around 8 pm. It was decently crowded. All the pool tables were in use and I believe all the bowling alleys were in use as well, so we didn't get to use those. You end up paying around $1.50 to $2 (6 to 8 credits) for most arcade games. The claw machines are around $3 (12 credits) each play, if I remember correctly. Even though I live 40 minutes away, I always make the drive to Round1 once a week. I have lived in Japan for years so this arcade is like a home away from home with the rhythm and fighting games and the claw machines. The employees are all extremely helpful and friendly despite how busy it can get. They're juggling a million tasks at once while making Round1 a fun and welcoming environment. What an absolute rip off of a place. I paid $30 for some credits after asking the guy working what the best deal would be as it's our first time in. He basically just shrugged, and I knew nothing about the place. THIRTY DOLLARS got us TEN MINUTES of playtime. I tried to speak to a manager, Jessica, and she rolled her eyes at us and just said we were SOL. My kids are 3 and 5 and left crying. Never, ever, will we come here again.

I've been here a couple times and every time I go, the staff is wonderful. It gets a little expensive but when you really want an anime figure, it's worth it! The recent time I went, I took my daughter, and one of the staff I believe her name was Anastasia was very sweet and helping her try and win the prizes! I can not believe how bad that whole place smell like pee and the restrooms were unbearable to be in ! They should close down and deep clean and replace those carpets it is absolutely disgusting we will not be back until they do so and the bartender on Sunday is rude and needs replaced ! It was quiet and clean on the Monday afternoon I went. The staff was friendly and helpful. I bought passes for my kids and they really enjoyed the multiple dance games they have. I've been coming here for several years. Literally since it originally opened. I can't sit by and not tell people how much of a ?meh? place this is. The food is how hum especially for the cost. The games like billiards, bowling, etc are also too costly. The arcade machines are terrible. Most of them at least. The fighting game machines need to be serviced. Staff is very nice.. they definitely do what they can with the little help they have available to run the whole place but people that visit really need to take a few extra seconds to walk to a trash can (which there are plenty) and help do there part to help keep the establishment clean also.

Overall the place is great. Lots of options to keep your kids going at even young ages. The arcade is cheap on Sundays for the time play, really great deal. The games did not register our tickets by several hundred, the staff was rather rude about this with me and my seven year old as we tried to talk through it together with them. In my travels around the country I go out of my way to visit every Round1 I can that is near me. This one is my home Round1 and I still like it the best. The staff is cheerful and very helpful. The prize games while challenging are not too hard as many Round1 sites I have visited. Kudos!

This is a great place for families and parties. There are several games to play. You can rent a party room for parties and/or karaoke. There is a bowling ally (with child assisted bowling ramps. 11/2/2024 I visited the mentor location for my birthday the worst experience ever I came in to request the party room the attendant told me it was a 15 minute wait and took my Name and number and said I would receive a text when it was available. I order food and it took forever to receive it there were to managers on duty one in a black shirt and one in a purple shirt they literally watched there staff members drown and barely helped them I ordered a drink that took forever to order as well as the bartende
