This place is a literal dump. Several machines out of order. When I say several, I mean about half. The floor is dirty. The staff isn't friendly. They won't allow you to have a glass of water unless you buy a bottle of water, but shocker, they are OUT of bottles. They still won't give us any water in a cup. Don't waste your money. Some of the machines that don't say "out of order" just take your tickets and don't let you play. I'll add photos of the many broken machines!
SO much fun! Some friends from Texas came down, one friend all the way from Switzerland for my birthday, and they loved it! We got some drinks on the house, did kareoke till 1am, had TONS of laughs. All money spent was worth it and won lots on the claw machines together. Overall was just the best choice we made this trip.
I thought the place was amazing and well maintained. I had minimal issues with using the games. There is a couple that need to be serviced or maintenance but it didn't impact my experience in any major way. My only issue during my visit was that I couldn't use the 90 minute unlimited play the same time I'm getting credits on a new card. Other than that myself and my son had a great experience playing a variety of games. It was very reminiscent of arcades in Japan.
Excellent selections of games thr whole family enjoyed. We had a great time here and love this place.
I have been there many times with my grandkids. Have spent sooo much money. But my most recent experience was awful. Many of the machines were broken or took our points off our card which I spent 72 dollars for. On one machine we picked up a 500 point token and when it was over the machine started resetting and didn't give our points. We eventually got someone to come to the desk and they gave us 24 tokens on our card instead of 500. We also later had a 200 point token which did not register on the card.
We had an amazing time here playing games! The staff was also very helpful! Also very crutch assessable. Defined recommend coming here and having a great time.
Seriously, this place was a struggle from start to finish. The manager tried to be as helpful as possible, but the other employees just stand around and talk. I spent $100 on two cards for my boys to play with, and even got a membership for an additional $5. We ordered a large pizza when we arrived, and I was told that my number would be called when it was ready. Thirty minutes later, I hadn't heard our number, so I went and checked. The guy "working" the counter slid me our large pizza and said "sorry". I
Absolutely sad how the management treats people. Their machines kept messing up and rather than helping to solve the problem they claimed there was ?no proof?. After we pointed out that the cameras could see the games and one was directly pointed at the machine we were using, they claimed they ?can't see from the cameras?. They then continued to laugh at us and say it wasn't their problem. At the end of the day it could have just been ?i?m sorry this happened? but instead it was poor treatment of their cust
Had trouble with management immediately. We called ahead to try to preorder our food they said it wasn't allowed. However when we got there, we still couldn't order the food because the kitchen staff didn't show up. Well this was around 1. They opened at 10. They claimed the pizza was all frozen. I hope this place get shut down. Any time we've passed by it's empty and now we know why. Management told us to go to the food court. They were all erratic.
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding our visit to Round 1 on January 29th from 2:15 to 4:30 PM. We were there for a small work gathering of six people, and while we enjoyed the bowling itself, our overall experience was frustrating due to poor service and unfulfilled expectations. First, when we attempted to order appetizers, we were informed that many menu items were unavailable because shipments only arrive on Thursdays. We ordered what was available?chicken fingers, jalape?o poppers, and
Took niece for fun evening. Ordered some Tacoyaki (japanese octopus balls), and they were pretty good/authentic).
Amazing place and tons of fun if you have the money. Anything fun you want to do as an adult or child you can do here. Just bring your money. Cause like any arcade it's gonna cost you money$ (I mean credits). Great place to have fun though. I recommend it.
Went inside Round1 and it's pretty fun! My problem is me and my sister are planning for the hour card to purchase but many games are for Points only. Just a little upset but glad we've just taken our fun time a little. I should've prepare next time we come here.
My bowling experience was okay, the lane malfunctioned a few times and didn't count pins. They didn't ID me for a beer but asked my friend for an ID for a bottle of water and wouldn't serve it to him because he asked why they needed it. The claw machines are fun but expensive but that's to be expected
I went to the concession stand to order a simple 1 scoop of ice cream in a cup and was told they were taking a 10 minute break so I will return later. Went back 15 minutes later stood in line for 10 minutes just to be told they could only give me soda pop because they were too busy with a party. So if you're just a regular customer you will be treated like you are not important for their business. I will never return too this establishment. Very poor management!
Genuinely disappointing experience. Machines were out of order, the attendant double charged us, and the second game cut off halfway. If that wasn't enough, the benches were literally held together with duct tape. Honestly the worst bowling ?establishment? I've ever been to. Save yourself the time and money.
Very disappointed in this place. Seems like nobody that works here even trys to give a damn. Total lack of customer service all the way around. Also with the price point on all the games you would actually think they would work. Nope. Atleast half on every given time I've been here are broken. Some have been sitting for months upon months out of order. If you can't run a simple arcade then maybe it's time to call it quits.
Our first visit on a trip to Lincoln from out of town. We planned on bowling and playing arcade games. We ended up just playing arcade games as there was an hour wait for bowling. We should have reserved a lane before playing the arcade games. They don't have many bowling lanes, so plan accordingly for a wait. The arcade was amazing though. Had hundreds of games, more than any arcade we've been to coming from a smaller town. Lots of variety and something for everyone. It was busy but there were so many g
Gets worse and worse Everytime I come. Staff just sits around and does nothing the entire time I don't understand how there's 5-6 employees who are sitting around doing nothing and the food/drink section is closed. The games just get worse and worse Everytime I come back as well. This establishment won't last much longer being ran the way it is management is terrible, employees attitudes are terrible, and half the games don't even work. Don't recommend coming here unless you like to waste money.
I honestly don't know what I've been doing here in Lincoln for all the the past so many years, without Round1... Japan has hit Lincoln by storm! The reason why I say Japan is because Round1 is a Japanese company and oh man, there is so much eye candy!... and eye candy to play with, too! Arcades, billiards, pinball machines, a bowling alley, a game store, table games, party rooms, karaoke, a lounge, a cafe, photo booths, video-style games, wheel games, crane games, games-games... the whole place is lit up
You all raise your prices and then charge a senior citizen who is a special Olympics bowler and needs to practice. We are not paying almost $40 for one hour with no shoes when we could bowl elsewhere for only $11-$12 for 4 games! It says senior discounts on your flyer but telling us no shoe charge is not a discount for a senior who has his own bowling shoes!
Honestly just a scam. I went in with a group of four. We went over to the lane and found that they only charged for 2 people, mind you I bought 4 pairs of shoes. When I went back to the counter to fix the issue, they charged me again for another group of four. On our second game, we are in the middle of the frames, and they just stop our game. Their benches are falling apart and are literally held together by duct tape. So overall a really bad experience at this ally. Also I heard someone got aids there
Exciting place, up the escalator to enter, close to the mall. We used the PARTY ROOM, Round 1 people were very helpful, with food, plates, drinks. Kept coming back and making sure it w Arcade games, Bowling.
This place goes down hill more and more. No management severely understaffed. The manager won't come out of their office to help customers even after 30 minutes. Price keep going up and 25% of the games are down because no one can fix them.
Round 1 is one of the best arcades in town. Great selection of games, lively atmosphere, decent prices. I can't tell you how great it is to smell buttered popcorn and pretzels as you play. Just an all around great experience, and I definitely think you should give it a shot. The only thing that keep Round 1 from getting the full 5 stars is definitely the management. Place is run ragged by the manager. None of the technician have ever given me or my wife trouble but at least three times the main manager lad
The venue is clean and well maintained. Has plenty of games, drinks, and food. Their prize system works identical to Dave and Buster's and even looks the exact same. Their website says they're open until 2am but from 10pm-2am they only allow 18+. The exception is if someone under age is accompanied by someone older than 26. We were not aware of this so although half of us were over 18, none of us were over 26 which meant we either had to abandon the kids we brought or kick rocks. This is their rule so it's
Went bowling and lane broke. No service showed up when we hit service. Eventually talked to someone and was moved to another lane. That lane then went down and we were told to go to another lane but then the people from another broken lanes names showed up. There were no more functional lanes to go to. We were told we could get a credit but then the manager said they wouldn't do any for us. So be warned they may just take your money and not let you bowl.
Walked through and there isn't any way I would spend money here with how things are not maintained.
Well informed staff and friendly faces. Surprise plan turned out to be a few extra hours than expected as we were well treated. Nate was incredibly friendly and helpful and would always check up. Good staff
Round1 is packed with fun for all ages! The bowling lanes are modern and well-kept, and the arcade games offer a mix of nostalgia and excitement. The staff is friendly and keeps the place clean and inviting. With its variety of activities, it's the perfect spot for a group outing, and being near other attractions is a great plus.
Terrible experience! We waited for over an hour just to bowl one game. The staff was incompetent and very rude when they messed up (which is why we had to wait so long). The service was extremely slow for drinks and food as well. They didn't wash anything off so everything was sticky. I won some bowling prize and it was just a cheap draw string bag, lanyard, and key chain so I gave it back to them. I wouldn't recommend bowling here.
It's fun but the claw machines are so bad. Anyways the castlevania game was fun though.
Lots of everything to amuse nearly anyone. For a birthday bowl, ideal. I've read compliments and complaints referring to machines gobbling credits. So many machines must be more than full time work, keeping repaired and in good order. Employees seemed happy enough, and on the young side. Good entry to job market for first time employees, mebbe?
Most of the games took your credit without giving you play. They looked like they were in working order but we're not. Several other machines were out of order.
This place was alright claw machines were all rigged and lots and lots of down or broken games but we did have our fun but I'll be looking elsewhere to go
My friends and I enjoyed bowling here. The bowling shoes were not worn out like most bowling places I have been to. It would be nice to shop in the mall and end the day with bowling!
Went here for my wife's birthday spent around 250 dollars on bowling and games between everyone in our group and was told my wife couldn't have a glass of water because the cups were too expensive.
Probably one of the worst experiences on a not busy night. 30 minutes to get a drink and once we got them the ice was already melted. Worker was wearing headphones and didn't have any customer service abilities. Would not recommend going to this horrible ran business.
Fun! Clean! Great for families, group and really anyone. Really enjoyed our family night
It's kinda like a Dave and Buster's. Everything is on the token card, so your tickets are saved there, and so are your tokens. After you are done playing, you go cash out your tickets for prizes. Huge selection of games, too. My only issue was that a big chunk of the games were out of order. Kid friendly.
I am a frequent customer of RoundOne and usually have a positive experience. However, one recent experience has left me disappointed. I redeemed 4800 tickets/points last night for a lamp from the prize room. When I unboxed the lamp at home, it turns out the product is defective and does not turn on. I called and asked for a product replacement or a refund for my tickets, and was refused both. No hard feelings to the employees?they are simply repeating what management says. But I feel that it should be more
It's a good place to hang out. I just hope they repair their games.
It's rad. If I could work there I would. It's games and bowling till 2 or 1 I can't remember. But for you drinkers get a few in ya have fun be polite and get out of mall asap.
Huge arcade is a definite plus. The pricing was a bit confusing as it wasn't available anywhere online. We bought 2 club cards ($5 each) plus 70 minutes of play time ($10 each) for a total of $30. With the cards, you're only able to play games with the green pad. So no ticket games and limited arcade games. Our 7 year son was a bit disappointed to not be able to play the big arcade games he was used to playing at the amazing pizza machine or Dave and busters. On the bright side, pricing was cheaper than
Prime date night competitor. I love taking my boyfriend here after a stop at applebees. I recommend getting their rewards card for the extra credits and the karaoke and bowling discounts. It's so great seeing a fully fleshed out arcade, careful how much you spend but have fun!
This place is amazing. Great, and friendly staff. Games are pretty cheap to play. They have bowling and pool also.
My husband and I went bowling for a date night. The prices for food were reasonable, as was the bowling for one hour ($30). We got in three games with four minutes to spare. The lanes were nice. Even the seats were comfortable-not the hard plastic. The food is limited but there is a decent selection- burgers, nachos, chicken fingers, fries, pizza, and salad. It tasted better than I expected too. The staff here is helpful and friendly too.
The machines are so rigged it's ridiculous. Weak claw machines that drop whatever it caught when it gets to the top. You're better off just buying whatever you were trying to win. Having to call a worker every time a machine doesn't work or eats your credits is such a constant occurrence that I'm sure they'd recognize you by name at some point that same day. Not even to mention how expensive actually playing the games are. 11 bucks for four plays? Come on. And it's so dirty too. The controls for pretty m
Great experience with Round1. The only arcade franchise that has such a wide variety of games from Japanese imports to the classic ones like Dave and Busters. My favorite will always be the claw machines and the rhythm games. I could spend a whole day there.
Took the kids for bowling and food. First time here. We had a good time. Bowling was fun. I will say the lane broke down several times but they fixed quickly. Food was really good for this type of place. Two of us had really good pizza, and the other two had wing and strips. Both great as well. Bowling was a good price. Food seemingly high. Spent $120 on four of us. I guess I spent $10 on a beer. Stayed away from arcade as this would have been another $100. Overall not bad.
Love this place. All the games are fun and the prices are good. Just this night a kind man helped my friends and I win some prizes. Will always be coming here for friend outings.
1st time experience with bowling. None of the lights were working so they moved us to a different lane and then that lane the bumpers were broke and the lights on that lane wasn't working. Went to get a refund and they offered vouchers instead. I'm sorry but if I'm paying $80 and this arcade/bowling alley is only a few years old I as a paying customer expect things to be up and working. Service was terrible. Didn't offer to fix anything and wanted us to bowl in the dark. Will not be coming back and will not
Overall, my kids had a great time. We went bowling and we played in the arcade. I accidentally purchased a larger arcade package and I wanted, but we need up making the most of it. There's only a few lanes, so we did have to wait on the waitlist to get a lane. Overall we had a pretty quick turnaround time to get a lane even on the weekend. The arcade area had lots of different game options, but did feel that some of the games were either not working or I would swipe them and it would say that we could st
Do not waste your money. Got there at 6:30pm. Service was terrible. Took around 20 minutes to get bowling shoes. Paid for 11 people to bowl plus shoes. Find out, they were not serving., food or drinks everything was closed. Out of that 1 hour, the key pad was broken and wouldn't enter the names correctly. Had to walk around to find an employee. They couldn't figure it out. Had to go to management to correct it. The game kept glitching and 3 times had to go searching again for employees to get someone to go
What a waist of money. Half the games don't work, the prize games are rigged so you can never win and the food is whorable
Round 1 at the Gateway Mall is going downhill very fast while the cost/credits to play keep going up. A lot of broken games, out of order, don't work like they should. And they now have timers on games such as Air Hockey. Majority of staff seem like they hate their job and don't want to be there either. It's rare that I'll be back with my son. Sadly.
The prices online are confusing and the workers don't even seem to know them. We ended up paying more to bowl for 1 hour than it costed to bowl for 90 minutes. No bartender, nobody at the concession stand, free refills once you get someone but you have to find a worker to fill it every time you want one and unfortunately they're hiding or don't exist. The arcade is massive but will cost you way more than anybody wants to pay. Also if you're anything more than a casual bowler please go somewhere else. The l
My kid loves it, but as a parent I have these complaints: Always poorly staffed, hard to get the attention of any employee to help resolve an issue or fix a game. Last time we went nearly every game my daughter wanted to play was broke. Didn't see anyone trying to fix them. Also, the crane machines are in abundance, and they're all rigged. You can get the most solid grasp on an item, and the crane arms fold out like they have zero tension.
employees are helpful and the iidx cab is very nice to play on
I love it and it's great for all ages it had a wonderful atmosphere totally coming back
DO NOT COME HERE My partner and I came to the Lincoln, NE location for a night of fun in the arcade and with the claw machines. Most of the games malfunctioned constantly and many of the claw machines did not function. There were no technicians on hand to repair the games. The area was also an absolute mess. When we attempted to get our money back, the staff told us to call corporate. We have called corporate half a dozen times. Each time, they said they would escalate the issue and we would hear back in 2
Never coming back!!!!!! Me and my friend along with his little brother were hoping to spend the weekend having fun and hanging out . My friend?s brother had saved up his allowance for months, and then proceeded to put on a round one card. We were having an amazing time play arcade games and winning prizes until we had played the spinning monster machine. After winning the machine?s jackpot back to back 3 times the head manger came over to confront us. He approached us with a hostile attitude and proceeded
Overpriced food/drinks, from what I'm aware of, the general manager (Stephanie) has an issue with people who are autistic (personal experience). And they say they are understaffed but 90% of the time I go there the employees just stand around so I dont really understand that.
Took my son to play video games and literally half the games are out of service. We started playing and winning on a game and then all of a sudden it said error and quit working. I talked to a manager and he said there was nothing he could do and this happens all the time. I asked if someone could look at the game we were playing at least since my son was close to winning a jackpot but he said he didn't have anyone available to look at it right now. He then said this happens due to "lack of maintenance"
Stanley is the man of the hour. With his customer friendly smile, he makes everyone welcome and serves all with proper respect and a cold beer. Will come again. Tip the man.
Love it here! Always great to bring kids and friends along. Expensive but it's so fun!
Food wasn't good but loved the environment
Machines are often broken all together or charge you for swipes and malfunction. This includes games and bowling. Bought two of bowl games for my two boys and I. Had to move lanes twice in first game and ultimately abandoned playing on the 7th frame after waiting 10+ mins for a service tech that never came. Keeping a two small children?s interest is impossible. Then waited 40 mins for a manager which never came ? we left and it's very sad what today?s work ethic has become. Disgraceful.
I mean yeah besides the fact that all the games suck ass it's an ideal place to take your kids
Fun Place to work. Awesome place to take a date. Most all crane games are worth the $$. So she can leave with a bunch of prizes.. The food Is good the beer Is cold. Tons of games, karaoke, rooms, pool bowling.
Poor service. Came here with my family and there was no food or alcohol. We were not told this before we paid for 2 hours of bowling. Lane wasn't set up correctly. Men's toilet was a disaster area! Bowled for an hour and asked for the manager for a refund for the last hour we did not bowl. No refund given. Understand being short staffed but at least make it right for the guest.
Had a fun time bowling with girlfriend, really nice area, lots of other games aswell, would recomend going here
We spent too much money for a group of friends to go out to the arcade only for about 70% of the games to be out of order, missing parts, or taking credits and not working. Bowling is the only thing that still works. Don't waste your money on the arcade.
Was invited to a birthday party there had pizza and two game cards and had a very enjoyable time
Some of the issues we ran into... *We waited for at least 10 mins for the staff working the drink bar to wait on us while there were two other staff members, working another counter with no current customers who just stood and watched us. Was kind of weird. Then when we finally got our drinks they did not have lids for the cups. *Several of the games took our credits but were not functioning correctly so we ended up being out of credits. Putting up 'Out of Order' signs on the machines that are not working
Very poor experience. While bowling was cheap for the promotional price, the drinks were expensive and not good. We'll usually choke down most drinks but not the case here. Management wanted to ?dress up? the drink when we asked to just have water instead. Be prepared to waste 15 minutes waiting for service and they play random games during your time that also wastes your time. Go somewhere else.
Was having a blast playing the marble carnival for over 3 hours collected over 80 cards which was awesome because I was giving the tickets to my daughter to get something good to remember the trip it's her birthday , but repeatedly had problems getting my tickets on my card then was told I'd have to wait for a bit then if they didn't show up they would just add them on so I waited 20 minutes but nothing so I went back to the counter again to be told that they will show up on there eventually and I can wait
I stood in line just for drinks for like 5-10 mins. There was one lady manager who kept looking at me and would go to back and come with things to stock..fine..then just left the area. Like why not help me? There was a manager standing down at the bar area doing NOTHING. The manager said come down to this register and I'll help you. I went down there and he walked away from me to help the other customers in line. I said hey you just told me to come down here. He ignored me. Lol. Whatta joke. That was extrem
We just had our daughter's 10th birthday here last weekend. 11 or 12 kids, 5 adults. The environment was fun for the kids, and the food was pretty tasty. Most of the employees didn't seem to want to be there though (they acted like it was a hassle to have to interact with us), and the food service was pretty bad. We ordered 3 pizzas for 1:30pm and we had to harass them to get them out to us. All 3 came separately over the course of almost an hour, and late. Not convenient, and it took away from the kid's bo
We traveled to Lincoln specifically for round 1 we thought it would be so much fun and I love claw machines! But it was a let down. Got a membership card and spent over 100 dollars right away. It was our first time there, and we told him that when buying our card. He didnt explain anything, point out where anything was. Anytime we had questions nobody really helped out or knew the answer. Esp with the app. So we lost out on 100 dollars with the app and we could have started winning rewards already! Most of
I had my vehicle breakdown outside this business and even though I didn't experience much the facility had to offer I cab speak of the outstanding experience I had with their staff. I was treated so kindly by their security staff especially a man named Don who was the kindest, most helpful person I have met in a long time who renewed my faith in humanity by showing me that good Samaritans still existed.
I visited Lincoln and my friend told me I HAD TO visit round 1. We went after 10 one night. Basically had the whole place to ourselves. It was an absolute blast. A little upset the curved air hockey table was down but we made great use of the other ones and all the other fun games! Will definitely return when I visit again!!
Expensive but fun. The claw machines with the arrows are confusing. Ice cream cone for 99 cents is delicious!
To expensive. Not worth it. Was of waste of money. Games are broken and old.
Had a blast here! There seemed to be staffing issues but that's everywhere so it's okay. Brought our daughter and was able to have a good afternoon. Will say that the prize selection for the arcade is a little lame. We had a lot of points and couldn't find anything we actually liked. It's all very anime themed so if you like anime it's perfect!
Came here for fun left disappointed. Not enough workers to make a drink in this open until 2 am game spot. We were not told you could not get drinks or food until after we bought 2 hours of bowling. Lanes were dry, shoes were rough, stepping area had no powder, women's restrooms had no tp. After playing an hour of sober subpar bowling we asked for a refund for the remaining hour we paid for. We were offered a game card but with no desire to return we left feeling ripped off.
Wow! The newest gaming machines technology has to offer! This place is ginormous! Best gamming place in the US.
It's a good time but all the games don't earn you tickets and a lot of the one's that do don't tell you what to expect so your ONE turn to make it count is usually wasted because you don't know what to expect. The atmosphere is fun but you'll spend more money than you want and have nothing to show for it.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
