Round One?s a blast!! had a great time there with friends last visit. If you haven't been, it's worth checking out for the classic Japanese arcade fighters and solid mix of side games. Definitely worth a few quarters.
It's ok. A lot of the machines are broken, the bar is understaffed. The food is right next to the shoe rental place, I avoided ordering because I'm sure there's contamination with the antimicrobial spray they use for the shoes. The games that were working were fun and varied though.
I have never written a review before and tend to think negative reviews are overblown, but our experience at this arcade was so unpleasant that I feel compelled to share. We had really been looking forward to going here for a couple of months and finally had the chance to check it out with some friends this weekend, but it was not the experience we were hoping for. As soon as we got off the escalator at Round1, we were met by two security guards who aggressively demanded IDs. Turns out you need 2 people wit
Had a wonderful time on 12/13/24 around 4 to 6pm. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The Bowling cashier/supervisor also went above and beyond in customer service. It's a great compliment before or after a movie or any other time. I will be a repeat customer with my 6 year old son.
Right from the start you are searched, wanded and carded to enter a "family" game space. Why would anyone need to see my ID if I'm not buying alcohol. If you do want a beer, good luck. You'll be carded again and the bar is periodically closed just because. They steal your playing time with random "competitions" that no one wins. I watched one person get moved a lane only for that one to continuously have issues. But from the door experience I would never come back. There are plenty of other welcoming bowlin
My children and I had an amazing time here last weekend!!! Great vibes for sure. We can't wait to visit again!
Many games are there Enjoyable place Had fun The food area was bad ??. Took over 30 mins of waiting to find out the order was not yet prepared.
Was here around 3:30 on 5/19. Had to ask someone at another dining area if we could get drinks at the bar, which they told us that if we wanted to walk around that all they could pour was beer and wine-which was fine. After an hour or so we left to go to a dinner reservation and came back at 7:15 pm and went to the bar to get drinks to find out it's closed. We asked the three men standing at the snack area/ticket area (doing absolutely nothing) if the bar was open for them to tell us the bartender called ou
Horrible experience I had at round 1 from the fashion district, and if I could give 0 stars even negative ones I would. Me and my friend are regulars at this round 1, we come in every week and play ddr for hours no issues. Well today me and my friend had to use the bathroom, so we go in and we aren't there for even 5 minutes then we leave and go to the machines. After already wasting our credits on the machine (mind you we haven't even played the first song yet so I got my credits stolen) the security guard
On a Sunday afternoon 3pm: 2 workers outside mean mugging, checking IDs and bags. Cannot bring in outside food or drink. Bar doesn't open until 6:30pm. Workers - only 1-2 walking around (most machines don't require anyone to help exchange to get prize), expect for few skill ones. Crane games - some machines don't work, controls were busted however, the win rate seems to be higher than other round1s nearby. $140 haul was 5 plush and 6 figures. Some Japanese style machines requiring skill, too difficult to
They had lots of games, ddr and a good amount of claw machine games. Note, they do not allow minors after 8 pm on weekends and no food or drink allowed in. They stop and check each persons id and each bag and it felt very invasive for an arcade. Also, there are many workers around the arcade, however, when I tried to call and ask for help for a claw machine, each time I was ignored. The games were fun tho- didn't like how the security guards were at the front. Also, claw machines are actually winnable! I wo
Let's call this place the hunger games of bowling and karaoke - a place where your dreams of bowling and horrible singing collide with the harsh reality of no outside food policies and unexpected surveillance. Walk in with a snack, and the staff will politely yet firmly remind you that food is not allowed inside. So, either scarf down your meal in the parking lot like a raccoon or graciously hand it off to a nearby homeless person, instantly becoming their favorite person of the day. It's a win-win?except
Great looking place if you can ever get inside. Left the theatre and wanted to check out the arcade, and the security detail was so rude to the couple in front of us, and then gave us the same rudeness. We then walked away to leave and saw the bowling alley on the other side. When we approached the bowling alley, the security doubled down, and said we had to enter the other side. We said that we were just looking, and then backup came. We literally weren't even inside the establishment, and they ran us down
Saw this place all over social media and was really excited to go me and my sister both 17 took the train down Town just to come here only to be told that we couldn't enter because we weren't 18. Mind you this wasn't at night or anything. This was in the middle of a Saturday and the staff were incredibly rude to us. They just said nope can't come in and waved us off. Overall, an incredibly disappointing experience, don't waste your time.
My family and I truly enjoyed my grandchild's birthday celebration here! We all enjoyed bowling and the arcade! We also enjoyed the food, our server was very nice. The only thing we were upset about was someone threw our food away without asking if we were done!
It's a big fun arcade with a bunch of rigged claw machines, ?? The fam and I enjoy it here. There's a variety of games, new and old school. Plenty of space. I love the photo booths and the scary games. Bathroom could be tended to a bit more and we haven't tried the food yet, but it seems like they are always busy serving.
I see that another parent had the same experience I did. I brought my 17 and 19 year old sons to go there while I shopped in the mall at 2:30 on 6/15/24, a Saturday. I got the call from my youngest that he needed a 25 year old guardian. This is not posted online. Needless to say, I was unable to shop. I'm done with the Fashion District anyway. I hope these photos help someone else.
Pretty much scammed out of my money! Was given a broken bowling lane, told by the technician that all lanes were "a little broken," so we went to collect a refund. They refused to give it to us and lied about the working condition of the machines, gave us a "free round for the future," and a card to contact their manager. I contacted the manager multiple times and their corporate office and received no response. It isn't a bad place, but if you're going to intentionally sell people a faulty experience, pr
The games are fun but the claw machines are horrible. They've loosened the grip of the claw so much that it won't pick up anything. Don't waste your money on the claw machines.
Amazing place for the whole family. Do the flat rate pay and you will not be disappointed. Tons to do all you can play arcade, mechanical bill, roller skate, pool tables, ping pong, batting cages and more!!!!
Pretty good. Sometimes super busy when I go and other times it's quite empty. As an arcade enthuiast, I go a lot and have fun all the time. They do check IDs and make you go through their metal wand to check. I love doing their 1 hour green unlimited games since it's $8/hr ($10 on weekends). Their prizes are pretty cute as they collaborate with many Japanese companies. They change out prizes and layouts of games often to stay relevant
AVOID ROUND1 BOWLING ? TERRIBLE SERVICE & DISRESPECT We paid for a broken lane?balls didn't roll or return. After waiting **25 minutes** for a fix, they **refused** to reset our time or give a refund. The manager called security, who **pushed us out aggressively**. Unprofessional, dishonest, and humiliating. **Worst experience in Philly?save your money and dignity. **DO NOT GO HERE
The food counter and bar attendants were ignorant. I never got the cocktail I ordered! The wings were good. There are tons of games
Always enjoy going for skee ball and it's always working. Never a wait time or anything and even with a couple birthday parties going on it wasn't a wait to use the mor popular games.
This place offers a fun experience and is a great spot in the heart of Center City. However, the staff is absolutely terrible. They come across as rude, unresponsive, and seem annoyed when you line up to spend money on a bowling lane. Who's in charge here? Is there any leadership at all? How is it acceptable for young employees to treat paying customers so poorly? Additionally, they offer mid-game bowling challenges that promise rewards and prizes. But guess what? They don't actually give you anything.
If you looking to enjoy a night out but indoors round 1 and bowling is a great place to start. For a first date as well because this give you a chance to enjoy each other play a few games watch the game as well on the big screen tvs go bowling and the movies theater are right across from you a one two punch lol
Bowling has been closed ever time i have gone but their is of course plenty of other games and stuff to do . Arcade to simply just playing pool
I have been here a couple times on dates and it's always a rather lackluster experience here. I have not bowled yet but I plan to do that and come back and edit this review once I experience that. Not all the games work and some games that do work don't work well and that is laughable. Never do the crane games I still have yet to win. I have gotten a few jackpot tickets I'm saving on my card. If you're looking for an arcade, Go to Dave and Busters.
3pm on a Tuesday I am 24 years old and wasn't allowed to go into an ARCADE with a 17 year old! Flew in from Cali just to come here for her birthday to be told i?m not old enough to play games??
It,'s what you expect for the "fashion district" guards at the doors, they check your bags and run a metal detector over you to get in and ask you to leave other food and drinks on the floor near the one entrance. The food's alright. It seemed like a teen was running the bar, they didn't know how to pull a pint off the tap. To be fair, it was also in a 12oz cup. Took the kid like 3 tries. They put the cup on the grate, let the beer pour a solid foot into the center of the cup, made 11oz of head, poured the
The fun ist in general 5 Stars. There are tons of arcades and games to spend 1 das (If you have enough money). Especially the green card flat is worth the money. Sadly there are some broken machines and others are a little bit "old" and used too often. Also there is an gambling area what is not suitable for kids or people with gambling problems.
Nice place to play but terrible customer service. First they overcharged us claiming that they didn't get approval to switch to new pricing interval. Then it took them forever to give me attention to order a drink. They were literally standing there ignoring me. And when thry answered, their attitude was horrible. They wasted 10 minutes of our game time to give us a coke!!!
Had a good time. Went after my youngest prom and we all enjoyed ourselves. Had adult time with drinks that hit the spot. Will be back again
I brought my 11 year old son to this arcade for his birthday and he loved it! Everything was clean, there was something for everyone and we had a very good time and will come back. Sadly, the arcade machine my son wanted to use was broken, but it didn't ruin our experience there. Would recommend, and every negative review here is false. The arcade machine shown is CHUNITHM.
Took my son and his date as a after prom activity. ( the day after). They had a blast however i might have had more fun than them..lol
??My experience on 10/26/2024 (10 PM EST - 12 AM) ?? 9/10 ? ??Bowling Price: $68 for 6 players (1 hour gameplay) ??Price for Party pack (pizza, 12PC Wings & fries): $46.99 ??Price for hololive collab drink: $10
This place is soookoooo cool.. i can't lie i walked in to pee.. lmao.. but it is sweet.. so please 4 give me 4 not knowing process it's kinda expensive according to the sign but that's also what u can afford n if it's once or a bunch of times u go follow light_empath_8 on tiktok 4 more reviews n vids
Their machines break down often, like?the machine does not start after swiping the card / the credited not go to your card after win???And the machines always need help from the staff ?? but they are just few worker that's why wait for a long time to get help??
WARNING: 21+ ONLY after 12am. Even if with a guardian. And it's 18+ after 2pm & 21+ after 10pm UNLESS with a guardian 25+. Nowhere is it stated online, even checking the ?House Rules?, it doesn't state it. Only a paper sign once you're at the location. Highly disappointing?.
Had lots of fun , but there were many broken or out of service games. Some games rip offs . Once we went to turn the tickets to get some of the prizes they have to off ....the staff was not helpful in that department , after waiting for a while we left empty handed.
Claw machines or garbage... Love playing those claw machines however when the claw goes down and it doesn't close.. there might be an issue..lol.. cash grab stay away
I would not recommend this place for bowling, especially if going on a weekend. We arrived around 6:30p and were added to the waitlist. We didn't receive a text until 9:15p ish that it was our turn, although it seems the lanes were free before then. Additionally, many of the games were out of service. I think this was a one and done for me.
Always bring my daughter here to have a good time whether it's the arcade or bowling I love going there to unwind and have fun
It's a cool place but I give it a 3 because I cannot process that even the lowest performance arcade are almost 2 dollars a game. Wild! They won't last not at that price to the consumer
The environment was clean, but 1/2 of each VR Game was broken. My children couldn't compete head-to-head with one another.
I was SO excited to check this new Round 1 out. I visited Round 1's and other arcades in Japan. I also go to the Round 1 in Exton. I have an existing card with over 5000 tickets saved, and have spent hundreds of dollars playing for the sheer joy it brings me. Personally I prefer to go to the Round 1 in Exton, just because I enjoy the drive, but on occasions, when I'm in the city I'd love to play some games here. The only problem is, your existing card won't work at a new location which is preposterous! As s
I usually like coming here but I saw mice running around especially under the games.
Love the place but it's so understaffed. They never have food and it takes forever to get anything from consessions. There's only so much one or two people can do. Also they advertise being open for adults till 2am but shutdown all concessions at 8pm. 21+ to enter but no food or drinks for the final 6 hours of operation. Its cool though you can go to the water fountain that hasn't been cleaned or had filter change since it was installed. Entirely the fault of management and corporate. Always hiding out wh
Had an awesome time!! There was a staff around the plushies today always and was so helpful when won different ones and keeping the machines stocked when it needed more. Super kind!! And someone came in dressed as miku and was nice enough to let us take pics with they were super cute and made my day ^-^ Also the photo film machines are so cute
Great prices! We went there for several hours for unlimited bowling. We drank some Moscow mules and played arcade games. All together, it was just under $50. Prices and vibe alone gave it the 5 stars. Customer service wasn't bad. The bowling lane itself did have several malfunctions. But again, with that price point, we can't complain.
This is THE arcade location in Philly in terms of central location and rhythm game machines available. Most other Round1s like the one in NY are out of the way in America. Newish DDR World machines, PIU, IIDX, Maimai, Music Diver, Sound Voltex, WACCA, StepmaniaX, and all the machines work fine, good enough for the sweats and casuals like me. There are some weird rules like a metal detector scan and ID required, and they don't let you bring outside drinks in. But the location is so convenient for people who
Bring your ID because they card before even entering. Didn't even allow me to use a photo of my license when I'm 24 years old. Harder to get in than a club.
Great atmosphere with plenty of options to keep you occupied. Good prices are still here and there are still decent games to Play.
Bowling is always nice , however it's this worker ?Guy??. just extremely rude , like it's not our fault u hate ya job bookie.
There are quite a few games that were not working. But still a fun place to hang out for a few hours.
Massive arcade with tons of cranes, air hockey, old school games, dance/rhythm games, and VR games. They also have bowling and billiards and serve food/drinks. We mainly go for cranes and skill games and enjoy the variety of prizes in the cranes and available in the prize shop to redeem with tickets! A little tricky to find initially since it's all the way on the top floor of the mall but once you are there it's so worth it!
Round 1, fight! (Mortal Kombat reference??) These devs gotta nerf my character, I'm OP against these claw machines!!! Not to r/humblebrag, but as a naturally born savant (Official MENSA IQ score of 178) I understand objective claw machine physic mechanics more adeptly than the average arcade goer per se ??(photo #3 shows me mid claw calculation as I simultaneously and impulsively ponder hypothetical measurements of mason jars for zero particular reasoning??) After making the employees nervous with my innate
Rich was fantastic! He was very proactive about providing a great experience for our daughter's birthday party. He regularly checked in with us and actively looked for opportunities to make our experience a great one. We will definitely be back!
This place is ok. Took my kids one day. It was fun but pricey.
I love this place, such a nice fun place to hangout with friends and family.
Terrible? looks good and has the potential to be a good spot, but the bowling aisles are faulty, bad communication amongst staff and manager, said our food wasn't paid for despite receipt's, burned our food, cut our time short after d was long with issues barely got to bowl
I can not recommend this place to anyone! The arcade machines broke multiple times and credits was lost. We approached the cashier who first of had 0 interest in helping us out and was clearly not trained in customer relations. He was super rude by just not saying anything most of the time and just staring at me. He said that the manager would come and help us out and help us with the lost credits. After waiting about 10 minutes at the counter the guy told us that the manager was on break and once he would
???? ok so people told me this place was better than Dave n Busters so I went , it was nice the price was good , the games was good , it wasn't crowded at all on a Saturday early afternoon , BUT we noticed the food area was closed which I find weird especially on a Saturday. I planned on going to play games and eat since this visit was for my sons birthday outing so to have no food and drinks for 2-3 hours is crazy .
After calling on the phone for confirmation that it would be fine we accompany our younger cousin into the arcade, because she is underaged, we were denied entry. We drove two hours to visit this specific arcade, and when we arrived we were stopped by security. We tried to explain that we had already gotten confirmation it would be fine for us to come, but they refused. After calling back to the number, we had a manager come out and she literally asked why the security guard himself why he wasn't letting us
The kids really enjoyed their time here, although they didn't have all the ingredients for certain meals like the dumpling tray and also the supreme nachos. no liquor at the bar. also, mice were running around on the floor.
The security are very rude here. Also I paid for a charging station it said it would be $3 and they charged me 19$ its expensive and they couldn't accommodate me. Save your money go somewhere else.
Security is rude. Facility is dirty. Everything is over priced. Many games were out of order. Very disappointing.
Saif and Kevin were dope and totally didn't ask me to write this ??
The arcade is awesome and plenty and Karaoke was pretty cheap. We paid only $21 for 90 mins and the room they gave us was huge. Def would come again.
New round1 here, definitely in a decent location if you don't want to drive all the way to Exton. As a recently opened arcade, it has its issues, some games are not fully installed and some have the wrong pricing. The selection of games is also really good, lots of redemption games and Japanese rhythm games (which i always love). Also love the $0.99 ice cream.
Did a class field trip here on a Wednesday afternoon. The price was incredible and included so much - bowling, game cards, pizza and drinks. Our kids had a blast. Facilities were very clean and well-staffed. Security was monitoring teenagers who were there unaccompanied and asking them to leave. We will definitely be back!
The bowling wasn't too bad. But I don't like that I was there late and it was so many kids. The drinks at the bar are trash. And the manager lost the key so the bartender had to close the bar. And the bartender was so burnt out, and serious.
I'm writing about this experience because I think it may help others. If you do want to have a party here I put some tips at the end. We booked a party room for two hours. This was supposed to include unlimited food and drinks for that time. However no food arrived until 45 minutes after the start time. The food itself was pretty good but they didn't check on us or refresh it after the first time they brought it out. Someone random who wasn't a staff member or part of our party walked into the party room
This place is fantastic! My friend and I had an awesome time with the karaoke, and there's so many games, too! I left my ID there accidentally, and they kept it nice and safe. Richard, the bowling manager, really helped me out!
My experience at the arcade was abysmal, to say the least. We were eager to play air hockey, but our excitement was quickly extinguished when the machine jammed after just one goal. Hoping for a resolution, we approached the cashier, who assured us that the manager would address the issue and refund our credits. However, his promises were empty, as he made no effort to contact the manager despite our 15-minute wait. When we pressed him for action, he responded with verbal abuse before disdainfully walking a
Very nice place but security need to have more order.
Manager won't transfer my credits from my card that works in exton because they use a different system. Girl at register said she can. Her supervisor said no we stopped after the 21st. Register girl said but (name I forget) said we still can. supervisor refused. Way to retain customers with good customer service. Also see picture for denied tickets a friend earned.
Was at Birthday party had great time
This place is close to terminal market in Philly so u can eat at the market and then go here. Lots of fun. Great claw machines and pinball
I just sent my four children to round one so they could spend Sunday evening at the arcade. They arrived at 1pm. I just got a call from my oldest who told me that they were turned away at the door. The guard and the manager told my children that they needed someone 25 and over to accompany them to be able to enter the place!!! Please understand that my children are 21, 18, 14 and 12. They all had IDs on them and money to spend. What type of place is this???
Terrible place, won't be returning. Starting off... the security guards wand you down at the door checking for guns or knives. They will also do bag checks which feels like an invasion of privacy which in our group resulted in them taking my friends pepper spray. Luckily by the time we left the security guard who took it passed it to another guard who had it in a zippered pocket in her jacket. Could have easily just walked off or disappeared leaving my friend with no spray to potentially defend herself on
Looks clean and the staff was nice, but we had continual issues with broken bowling lanes. First lane wouldn't register knocked down pins accurately so you'd get a zero even if you knocked down nine. The next lane over would score appropriately, but the machine would then knock over pins. For a bowling alley, you want the lanes to work and give accurate scores!
Used to love this place when it first got in, but it has fallen super far down lately and I'm not sure why. What feels like half the machines don't work anymore, especially on the ticket game side - either shattered glass or just out of order or weeks on end with no fixes. Prices are egregious - playing a fighting game from 1998 costs 1$, and the claw games, their big calling card, cost something like 3.50$ a pull. Staff on the floors are pretty much nonexistent - if you need help with something, it'd be
Well, it's an arcade in the middle of the city, so you should lower any expectations you have. Even then, I was still disappointed. The place is constantly dirty, and the machines there are not well maintained, so if you are serious about any of the games there, it will be difficult. Its a fun place to go if you're just looking for a place to have fun in the city, but I would definitely steer clear of this location in particular and go to a place outside of the city for a better experience.
I was sooooo enthusiastic about coming in to the arcade before ending my thursday night. i walk up to the entrance and the security guard tells me that its about to close in 20 minutes when we got there at around 1:20 and we had 40 minutes to spare. mind you, we were enjoying ourselves on the claw machines and connect four basketball game when we realized he was watching us play games the entire time. when we got to the vr game, it literally felt like an edge because we were about to try it, when we saw him
came all the way from hershey pa for a night in philly, spent a few hours at the arcade nothing too bad. when we first got there they IDd us, searched us and metal detected us. i had a knife in my purse only for the fact i am 20 years old and want to have some sort of protection on me, especially when it's night time. the lady security guard that searched me took it and informed me that i would be able to get it back later. skip to later, she was not there and the only male security guard that was got very
huge confusing layout but also im bad at directions so it may be a personal problem. rhythm gamers rejoice because the cab selection here is rly good HOWEVER they are all offline! so leave your bandai namco card at home. clean and nice
u cannot get in without an id . not even a picture. they dont have an actual reason when i asked why. not even bc u need to be 21.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
