Round1 Bowling & Arcade - City of Industry

Round1 Bowling & Arcade - City of Industry

Reviews Summary

Round 1 offers a mixed but generally positive experience, with many praising its diverse activities like arcades, bowling, and karaoke, especially for families and groups. The claw machines are divisive—some find them rigged, while others win consistently. Food quality varies, with some enjoying snacks but others criticizing non-American dishes. Pricing is seen as high, though some justify it for the entertainment value. Staff are often helpful, but cleanliness and maintenance issues (like dirty helmets or tables) occasionally detract from the experience. While some encounter frustrations with wait times or policies, most agree it’s a fun spot for varied entertainment.

Customer Reviews

I actually came to the R1 to used the bathroom while passing through this mall. This R1 only had 3 customers in it ( including myself) it was kind of eerie. But in hindsight if you want to go out on a "private date" or experience having an entire arcade/ bowling alley to yourself with friends or kids, I say come down during the week around mid morning. P.S. The entire mall is pretty much empty

Came here on a Saturday with my SO for a little date, and we had a great time. Round 1 is located inside Puente Hills Mall, and from our experience, this location was solid. We went with the $115 game card option, which gave us 800 credits to use. There's a ton to do here from arcades, bowling, karaoke, and their Spo-Cha building which is more sports-based. We stuck to just the arcade this time and it didn't disappoint. The games cost anywhere from about 9.2 to 14 credits depending on the machine. They've

This is a fantastic spot to take teenagers and their friends! I brought my son and two of his friends here, and they had an amazing time. The arcade setup is great, you can purchase timed cards for unlimited play on certain games, as well as cash-loaded cards for claw machines and other games not included in the timed options. Beyond the arcade, they also offer bowling and karaoke rooms. After our arcade time was up, we rented a karaoke room. While it was fun, I think the karaoke experience could be improve

Such a fun place too hang out with friends or go on a date night. The win tastes in the claw machines are really high, so you can come out with a bunch of stuffies. Food and drinks are also really good.

Location: Okay, Parking: Okay, Service: Okay, Billiards : Yes, Bowling : Yes, Karaoke Rooms : Yes, Food: Yes, Ticket games: Yes, Pinball: a few, Overall Rhis was a first time visit and I have to say I was impressed by the size off the area it had taken over in the Puente Hills Mall. Located on the top floor, it covers as much if not more than a Dave n Busters. Foodwise... D n B leads with more choices. Gamewise, I would have to lean towards Round 1. Cards are used to play games and can be refilled when

An absolute blast! Round1 is my go-to for a fun night out. They have a fantastic selection of modern and classic arcade games, and the bowling is always great. The energetic atmosphere is perfect for friends and family. Highly recommend this spot!

This bowling alley is great. The lighting, music, and ambiance are awesome. The food is very tasty. We enjoyed the pizza and wings. Had a blast playing a couple rounds. Kids love the arcade as well. I'd recommend this place for family fun.

big free parking structure nearby - lots of games as you would expect from any Round 1 - had big Kirby plushes!!! - good time with friends

We had a blast, a bit pricy but worth the while 2 hour bday rent 4 lanes to play and launch an awesome and chill atmosphere. Can't go wrong with this place. And all the video games and stuff they have is great. The attentiveness of the staff was the best I've ever had. The kids had so much fun!!

We just walked in to grab something to eat since Spo-Cha (next door) didn't have food items. It looked fun with a dark environment but lots of colors. The line for food and wait wasn't too bad. There is also a variety of options with some ice cream for dessert, if you choose. They do sell alcohol and I saw some people with pool cues so assuming there's a pool table nearby. What I was disappointed in was the lack of cleaning the tables. The staff walk past dirty tables and don't bother busing or cleaning the

Surprisingly good Japanese style fried chicken and other snacks. We (adults) had a blast bowling, it took us a full round to get back into it lol. The kids thought it was the best birthday ever! They loved bumper bowling and trying the arcade games.

went to this round 1 every week to play pop?n music and just found out that it's being removed, literally so sad. Out of all the games in there they had to get rid of this one bruh ??

This is a really good place for bowling and especially for Spo-Cha, the all-inclusive sports facility, such as trampoline jumper, batting cage, pool tables, ping pong, skating, volleyball, basketball, and video games. There's also karaoke! This is a great place for parties, too. Update: They have some new video games, and instead of the hovercraft, they have the glide riders in the same area. The obstacle course, which a lot of people got hurt, is closed for the time being. We tired the pizza, and it was d

Endless amount of claw machines. Chances are pretty high too, you can even request staffs to fix the position of the stuff animals so it's easier to get. Every time we come, we at least get one to two prizes home. Never home empty handed. Also lot of cool dancing stages to challenge, very updated machines at least foe now.

I've been wanting to try this place out for while, so I finally did on one of the hottest days of the week to stay cool. We tried the 3 hour, which seemed to be a good amount of time overall. It kinda sucked the arcade games were mostly socially distanced, so you couldn't play with your friends and some games were broken. But there was a lot of fun stuff to try like the mini bikes and karaoke. Word of advice: you have to in your reservation for the pocket bike racing, you have to buy the socks for the tram

Great place to take your kids when they need a break from us parents. So many arcade games to pick from. Well recommend. Even for us adults wanting to get away from your better half. A+++ ??

Such a shame that COVID fears hollowed out this place while Walmart grew fat at the expense of everyone else. He didn't divide us. Our resentment and fear of vulnerability did. Oh, the hypocrisy...

I came to Round 1 with my group for a fun night of bowling and food, but unfortunately, the experience was extremely frustrating. We joined the waitlist for a bowling lane and were told it would take about 30 minutes. Since we had time to wait, we decided to order food. As soon as our food arrived, we were suddenly informed that our bowling lane was ready?what they didn't tell us was that our time had already started, and we only had 10 minutes to get to the lane before losing time. We were still eating an

Been here twice. First time around we came after dinner and it was fine no issues. The second time I planned to have some food and drinks and honestly it was a bad experience overall. People cutting lines to get food and drinks as well as to come in generally no one that works there pays attention to how people get ahead of others in line. Finally got to order food and turns out if you come in a Friday at 8 pm they won't have half of the menu available because they "ran out". I tried to order the ramen the

This place is alright. They gotten rid of alot of games and put in new ones but you cant beat skiball. And alot of the games will just take your money. Like they dont even start up even tho you slide your card. It will go back to saying please slide. I'm a bit sour about the crane games but that must be high skill and luck. Whats really nice is all the rhythm games.

It's fun! However, the Klaw machines have weak grips, which raises some suspicion about the machine settings. The staff is very friendly. If you're looking to have a good time, I recommend visiting. It seems especially enjoyable for kids. I recommend it!

1/3 of the arcade games are out of service, the basketball shooting game definitely needs maintenance because the ball always gets stuck in between, We called for assistance but the staffs never responds. I wasted at least 80 credits on arcade games that were not working or have an issue with it. 2 of 3 sinks are not working in the men?s restroom, Even the one that is working the water flow from the faucet is very weak. Won't be going again?..

The games and bowling are a blast, but the claw machines suck! I've been to many claw machine places and the greed this place has with those machines is ridiculous. Don't waste your money on the claw machines. They oil the claws so much it's nearly impossible to win even small prizes. Overall not impressed. Food is good though.

So much to do at this place! We only bowled but there are tons of games, too. The different bowling games were fun to try. A bit pricey, though, and there is a mandatory game where you have a bowler from each lane compete - fun idea but a huge time suck. There was only one other lane in use and it still stopped our play for at least 8 minutes. When you are playing for a certain amount of time, this is not cool. It happens very often and I'm sure it takes even longer when the lanes are crowded( the gam

Went to Round1 after dinner, it was the closest thing to do near Happy Duck House. Had fun, would try bowling next time, maybe even the private karaoke rooms ?? Very kid friendly. Atmosphere brings out the inner kid in you.

Went with some of my coworker's to Round One and generally I'm always happy with staff. Very helpful, without being prompted, easy to find them. Quick to make sure that the customer is taken care. They reset the plushies if called for. Refill the machine once they're are wiped out. Fun was being had. My friends started to say that we should get some drinks, I immediately ordered some food to ensure that they wouldn't be drinking on an empty stomach and to slow down the alcohol once it started. It's m

This place has great food, drinks and games. Location is huge and there are so many games. Staff is really friendly and the place is well kept. There is also a bowling alley. Space is great for young children and adults. Overall really liked the variety in games and how easy it was to navigate around this place.

Place was pretty fun! I love the one game that was virtual. It was a zombie game and shot air at your. The food court pizza was surprisingly really good and many options for claw machines

They have pinball! Very cool place kinda like a Vegas if you're under 21 . As if a massive arcade with games and prize machines wasn't enough. There is bowling and karaoke. Party rooms and an entire prize store. In addition to a snack cafe. I've seen these in other malls, and it's cool to see a kick it spot for the whole family.

Terrible service and the manager was a joke. Giselle the manager approached us while we were at the lanes and told us rudely that we had too many balls and she had to take some mind you there were over ten bowling lanes that were not being used but she claimed ?customers need them??? What customers ?? There were only FOUR lanes being occupied which I brought up to her but she just smirked and stood there repeating herself. After that interaction she had one of her employees STAND behind us just watching us

This place had so many activities to choose from! Definitely enjoyed it! It's really kid friendly. The staff is also so amazing and helpful! Will be coming back.

They only promote cute girls at this location. A hot 19 year old was promoted to manager not complaining as I was above her but still I get she hot but damn

This place was pretty chill...the bowling and the beer fountain was the best part of the night...didnt really take the arcade serious but my girlfriend and I had a blast just bowling????? and drinkin a beer fountain..reasonable pricing to would actually prefer to go here than dave and busters

Super fun place to be. Dont try any of the dishes that arent American though. Anything ethnic tastes like it was opened and reheated out of a packet

?ROUND ONE! FIGHT!? Ok, let's get into the nitty gritty about this place I absolutely LOVE!! Now as a disclaimer, is it expensive? YES BUUUT, if you're only coming here once a month or even less you got nothing to worry about. PROS: Clean environment, well maintained video game consoles and a huge assortment of games all imported from Japan! They've got beat-em-ups! Shooter games, instrument based (Gitadora, Guitar Hero my personal fav!) air hockey, and even games where you only play for tickets like baske

Great place for all ages specially teens and up. I don't like that you can't take drinks of any kind. The snack bar opens at 2pm. I wouldn't go after 3 because it gets packed after.

Cosmic bowling alley, pool tables, HUGE arcade, ping pong, great place for large groups and birthday parties. Happy hour drink specials Monday through Thursday . All kinds of arcade games for all ages and interests. Great place for kids and adults. Clean and safe.

Went to the Santa Ana and City of Industry location in the same day and the City of Industry location is way better hands down! Its bigger and has more claw machines.

Prices are ridiculous now and the claws straight let the stuff toy go. Claw strength

This place is amazing. They have something for the whole family. The price is reasonable for everything you have access to. We were here for 12 hours without getting bored. I would recommend bringing sweaters. Lockers are free so I saved my soda cups. If you have an all day pass you can leave and return with scanning your receipt. I would recommend eating outside due to prices and availability of food. They run out of food quick. They provide you with shoes and gear if needed.

Only visited the arcade portion, but it was pretty fun. You'll win at the claw machines if you play enough, but be prepared to spend a decent amount of money if you want any of the bigger prizes.

The staff is awesome here! They were really busy so they got behind with helping my family for our karaoke time. They apologized and comped some of the time without hesitation! It was great! We will be Back

Easy parking, inside was clean and had a lot of new games. I thought parking was going to be difficult because it was inside a mall but it's very easy.

Me and my eldest boys came here to kill some time before flying back home. Alot of fun. Claw machines, games, even bowling and billiards.

Terrible serv?ce and the managment was even worse. So unclean dust was falling from the fans above us, I,will never go to this location again. For the money, Bowlero could do alot better.

If your a senior get that discount. Fun place to gather. Food not so good. We for the end of the nacho chip bag. Sodas free refills. About $20 to bowl for 1 hour shoes. Included

I came on a Sunday evening approximately 9:10 PM from Ontario with my wife and 3 kids (ages 9, 4, and 1) We promised our kids to come here and they were pumped to come for the first time! As we approached we noticed a long line filled with teenagers that reeked of marijuana. There were no signs or anywhere online that indicated that they would card people after 9 pm to get in. As we entered there was a private security company checking ID?s. My wife provided her expired ID of 1 month; I didn't drive and the

Very fun! Good place and has a lot of games

This place is my Son favorite, for game foe movie also not a lot peoples. Let me more comfortable and relaxed. 8?24 A lot stores permanently closed.

Bowling was great, food was fair to middlin?, chaos was in full control. Mind controlled frantic button mashers operating at warp speed. What happened to the good old days when the games actually had a point and mission? This place is a web of soul exhausting entanglement. Bowling fair, everything else ??.

I don't think there is a place like this in LA. It is a bowling alley with karaoke rooms, video game arcade with mostly high-end Japanese made machines, UFO catchers, selfie photo booths, ping ping tables, billiards, bar and restaurant. bowling shoes are returned to an automatic receptacles on a wall near the exit. They have all you can eat drink parties for your coworkers, friends and family. Win prizes in playing arcade games from back in the day and current ones.

Love this place, always so many choices and a great time for young and old alike.

Me and my friends tried to get in after 10pm, but they required ID at the door, for 18+ which was not advertised anywhere online. Although I was 21 I didn't have my ID, and they didn't accept photos of it either. Only option was to have someone 25 years or older with ID vouch for us to get in. Although we did find someone to vouch for us to get in, and multiple of our group members did get in, when I got to the front they created stipulations out of thin air, which summed up to ?that's now how it works?

Fun place for family events or just simply hangout with friends. Prices are not the cheapest around the area, but they have everything in one place which saves some drives.

Michael at round1 deserves a shout out. Super attentive and always there when you need help!

This place is definitely one up from Dave & Busters or anything I've been to in the Bay Area. Lots of new games, bowling alley, and claw machines! Surprisingly tried 6 times for the claw machine and got a cute flying monkey plush! We spent about $50 here and had a blast with the newest Time Crisis, Tomb Raider (4 players max!) zombie games, basketball games, and much more! Definitely would come here more often if I lived near one! We even got to take some Japanese-styled photos for funsies we didn't get mu

The lines are really long on the weekend to get your beer or your game card but it's a really great place to hangout with your friends. I can play Jurassic park for hours...

A hidden gem in a old almost abandoned mall!!! This place was SO MUCH FUN!!! So many claw machines with really cute plushies to win! Also a really good prize selection! So many games and there's even bowling!

The playground is great value! $33 for 3 hours that includes video arcade, trampoline, skating, bull riding, and so much more. Great fun for all ages.

Online it says that ?unlimited bowling all night? but when I arrived at 930 pm the guy working the front named ? Joseph? in a very condescending manner proceeded to tell me of some rule where they save lanes for late night bowlers after 10. I have looked everywhere online and found this rule nowhere. The current situation here is 26 lanes with a total of 4 being used. Would love to see where this rule is that they don't honor their weekly special

This place does not have enough lanes. It has great customer service but the stuff animal cranes are rigged. Overall this place does not compare to round 1 in Tokyo.

This place has a variety of fun thing to do: bowling, karaoke, billiards, arcade games, food and drinks. Very kid and adult friendly. The facilities are clean and organized. I'd recommend this place for a birthday party, fun date night, or just to go hang out with friends and family. We will come back here again.

This is the kids and adults favorite place to play. They rotate the arcade, which makes it fun everytime you come. The price is reasonable but it goes fast. The perks of this place is the food price. It's relatively cheap compared to other places. Overall, the place is somewhat clean. It's hard to keep it neat with the amount of traffic they get on daily basis.

I would put 5 stars if it werent for the fact they have increased the credit amount you pay for games and crane games. I remember when they were usually 6 credits to play couple years ago. We recently went back after a month from our last visit and it went from 9.0 to 10.0 credits now. Its just 1 more credit but they really build up after a while. Edit: So they updated the arcade section by adding more claw machines which would make people who don't know how to play the Japanese ones happy, but these usual

I love going with my family and my kids affordable prices and we have fun...

Cool spot, they closed the bar an hour earlier than expected and various games were out of service. The bowling section was brighter than necessary and overall it just felt as if the staff wanted us out of there asap. The security was cool and friendly and so was the bartender. There was just a bit of a rushed environment though which isn't for me. Will try again at an earlier time

why would you guys remove the 4 maximum tune 5dx + machines and only leave 4 machines.... one which doesn't even work and needs to be fixed...ur legit most popular game and yall replace it with some boof ass shit no one wants to play. that game was the only reason i would drive 2+ hours to come play. L move for whoever decided that.

Plenty of options to keep family & friends busy. Very fun!

Always having fun with my kids!! Great game and location ?? ???? ????

If you are not 25 and older do not come here. Literally can't do anything. I'm surprised they let us even use the restroom.

This Round 1 is so much more better then the one in Lakewood. It's nice and cool, they take high measures for safety and are really friendly. Only thing they need to do is make more food available and add more figures in the Ufo crane machines.

The place has a lot of games but most of the claw games take your money. Most people there leave empty handed. Pricey. Save your money and buy the dolls instead.

Pretty good prices and very HUGE variety of arcades. Keep in mind most arcades are 8 credits. They also have like 6 Karaoke rooms at $29/hr. And of course bowling, ping pong tables and Bullard tables. The AMC is also inside the Puente Hills Mall. Try to arrive before 5p.m. if not you should be prepared to wait in a long line. I visited here Sunday June 27th, 2021 arrived 5:05p.m. without waiting in line, just walked straight in.

it was ok, very minimal claw machines

Beautiful place to have a lot of fun. Claw machine world and great bowling alley.

We went here for a birthday party, the place is mediocre, the trampoline park has a bunch of rules which prevent you from actually liking it, the karaoke rooms suck

Round 1 is super fun. The staff are great, and surprisingly, the pizza is top notch! We had a great time bowling and playing games. This is a great place for family to spend time just having fun.

Love the crane machines and rhythm games here. Only good part of this dead mall

I've been there twice now. Both time they close the card recharge kiosk well before the arcade is closed. And the karaoke rooms I've been in were too hot, you can hear the other rooms so easily, and they don't allow you to bring alcohol into the room. They prefer you leave your drink unsupervised, outside the room. Literally around the corner out of our eye sight.

Great bowling and one of the best arcades I've been to in a long time. Some great classic games, pinball, and modern hits make for a great time. Also, so many lanes for bowling!!

Came here a couple months ago, had a great time with my kids (10,8 y/o). When we went the first time it was a weekday and the place was basically ours. This last time we went was A Sunday night. A lot busier. Still pretty fun, but the only thing bugging me was that there's really no one cleaning the helmets at the batting cages. I wish there was something for me to clean it before using the helmet. Other than that, the arcade was decent, and there's still a bunch of activities to do. Ping pong paddles were

Great place for teens. Our group had a blast on karaoke ??

Lots of fun for the whole family. Kept up very well. Very professional and hard working team members. Lots of games to choose from plus claw machines galore. Bowling and karaoke are always fun. A bar and a place to get a nice variety of foods and snacks. All freshly made to order. Different packages available and prices that all families can afford.10/10 recommend for parties or just an afternoon of fun!

Round 1 is a great gamers and non gamers paradise. It's great for work events, family parties or just to drop off your teenager and friends. The mall itself needs some work but Round 1 is great. Yes it is pricey, and the staff is lackluster but you really come here for the games.

Pretty well maintained and good security especially for having late night hours.

Great place for children all the way to dates and for grown adults there is something fir everyone

Always love coming here with the kids, even though they don't want to leave after.

Dance Rush is a way of life. So glad that Round1 has a machine here! The arcade is clean, the staff is nice, and we have the best maintained dance machines.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
