Rose City Bowl

Clean, fun, and family friendly! Love the different types of games and the automatic bumpers for kids. I haven't bowled for a VERY long time. Primarily because I am not very good, but also because of how I remember bowling alleys. Smokey, dirty, and dark. Rose City was the exact opposite. They have clearly spent a lot of money to renovate and create a tremendous place. I will definitely be back in the near future.

Love this place and the atmosphere! Muncie sucks when it comes to bowling, so I appreciate these guys!

This is one of the best bowling alleys I have been to! We come here every year and they never disappoint. The food is great and their drinks specials are spectacular. We ordered the Ten Pin Nachos, April's drink specials, buckets of beer, cheese balls, tenderloins, burgers, fried pickles, and the Atomic Rose drink. It was very clean and well kept. The bathrooms were spotless and smelled great. And the arcade is fantastic! And I have to brag on the shoe rental! I have never had such well maintained bowling

Lanes are good. Arcade is fun. We have been avid bowlers at Rose City for several years, even holding work and person events there. However, the owners inability to consider the needs of the customer has made it so we will not be bowling there often. We wanted to have an adult birthday party. We inquired about creating a custom party, as their policy is you cant bring cake/cupcakes without booking a party. We were told that we can't do a custom party, it has to be one of the 2 preplanned packages, which are

Kids' Connection from Pendleton, Indiana enjoyed a great afternoon of bowling with 58 children. The atmosphere was inviting and the kiddos had a great time. We truly appreciated the help of Austin, Carmen and John who welcomed our group with amazing service and hospitality!!!

Had a friend's 30th birthday party there it was a good time. But more important to the review the bathroom was very clean (forgot I was in a bowling alley, felt more like a high end store well done). They had staff coming around cleaning up dishes and vacuuming. It was enough to keep the place tidy but they weren't in your way and it wasn't just the large party they were doing it for everyone!??????????????

This bowling alley was beautiful and fun. Loved the decorations and the staff was friendly. The lanes were good but dry so my ball was doing what it wanted and not what I was trying to do. All in all this is a great family oriented place an I will be recommending and going back here.

The Indian Creek HS Pep Band played for the Lady Braves basketball team when they participated in the Holiday Hall of Fame tournament on 12/29/23. We needed a place to take the kids for entertainment, get something to eat and hang out for a few hours between games. We found the Rose Bowl and are so glad we did! We had called ahead and told them we would be coming and when. They were prepared for us and had our lanes and pizza ready at just the right time. All employees were super friendly and accommodating.

They've really kept this place up over the years. The games are updated and modern. The alleys are clean. Our kids had a blast!

Visited for the first time for a Credit Union meeting and was NOT disappointed. Attentive staff, super great food, great bowling. We all had a great time.

The atmosphere was exciting, arcade was nice! The kitchen was understaffed so when I tried to order a mixed drink they said nothing mixed. So instead of Sprite and Malibu I was only able to get Malibu. The guy did give me two shots for the inconvenience, though! I really liked that you were able to modify players and bumper settings from the screen at your lane. I only give it 3 stars because it was really slow getting checked in and getting anything from the kitchen (which they stated was understaffed

The staff was very attentive and made us feel welcome. First time trying hyperbowl and it was a blast! Cleanest and cutest bathrooms!!

The manager was amazing. Took the time to walk through what hyper bowl means. We decided to try it. The middle school girls and I loved it! Never tried it before. The facility was clean. Great atmosphere. Arcades and food if wanted. Great prices for the five of us. Such a fun afternoon as we were rained out of our campsite fun. Will definitely come back when we come visit New Castle again.

I like to go to the arcade and play the games and my son loves the virtual roller coaster that they have. It really feels like you're on a roller coaster. When u play the games u earn points to get prizes. They also have hyper bowling,I haven't played it yet but my friend said it's fun& she likes it a lot.

This is a beautifully renewed bowling alley in New Castle, IN that has great bowling conditions, nice oil and a great, updated bowling score system! They even have a new state of the art arcade and a nice dining, bar area! The staff are professional and friendly, unlike some bowling alleys I have been to! Management and ownership is top notch! Nonetheless, I highly recommend this place to others and I will certainly be back! ????

Personally the best place to bowl and the funnest. I highly suggest this place to bowl.

We love going here to bowl. The only issue is every time we ask to use lane 28 for my son who likes to bowl on an outside lane they always say it's taken or will be soon. Then we bowl on another lane and never see that said lane used. It just doesn't make sense.

The bowling balls had holes in them, we ordered a pepperoni pizza, and the workers were working. That's really all that matters

Inside is nice and clean, well taken care of, great arcade, great lanes, friendly service! I would suggest newer shoes, and lowering bowling prices - $35 for 2 to bowl one hour...I really believe we would bowl more often if prices were lower

Very clean! Friendly and helpful staff. We came in, a couple of hours before closing, with a decent sized group. The staff helped us with everything we needed. Even made some fresh and delicious food for us. They have great equipment and their "new" game with bumpers is a blast! Had an awesome time and will be returning VERY soon.

Our group enjoys bowling at the Rose City Bowl in Newcastle Indiana. The staff there are very accommodating and the owner is awesome. The place is kept spotlessly clean. The computer system for keeping score is very easy to use. Rose City Bowl has a nice arcade for the non-bowlers and a great snack bar. It also has a pro shop that sells bowling balls and accessories. You can get your bowling ball custom fitted and drilled, even if you didnt buy your bowling ball there.

Nice staff, family friendly, fun games, good bowling system, great atmosphere, good drink options, haven't tried the new food but it looks good. Family loves coming here.

Celebrated my granddaughter's 5th birthday here and she had a blast! Fun games for the kids and the lanes were user friendly.

We had a birthday party there this evening for my 13 year old. They were so kind, and checked on us several times to make sure we had what we needed. The gave all the kids a card for the arcade area and gifted my daughter a birthday pin. It was very comfortable and we had a great time.

Would give 10 stars!!! My husband ordered us food for lunch today. It was beyond delicious!! One burger was the size of three burgers. The toppings were wonderful too. Definitely will be coming back for more!!!!!!!!

Our favorite bowling alley! We live an hour away, but it is well worth the drive!

New hire up front, plus one very helpful and polite young lady at the desk = overwhelmed staff. Lanes kept going down taking forever to fix. The young lady added time to the Birthday Party, but the downtime caused most of my stepdaughter's guests to leave early.

I was recently a winner in a giveaway. I was able to take my son and nephews along with my husband and cousin for a fun enjoyable evening. We bowled for 2 hours enjoyed a pizza and played a couple for games in the arcade area. We had a good time in a family friendly place on a cold December night.

Wanted to bowl a couple of games was told that the only lane available would be available in about 10 minutes, so we went over to play games while we waited. The guy said he would let us know. Noone ever come to get us, I went back over to ask about lane and was told by another guy that they didn't have available for another 2 hours. I was not gonna wait for 2 hours I got mad and left. BTW I drove from Connersville because my son loves that bowling alley and the games.

Took our grandson to join a Saturday league so disappointed to hear that only four boys had signed up and the manager had called to let them know that he would give them two free games since there was not enough enrolled to make a league. We didn't get a call but he granted us with the same offer. My husband than decided to bowl with him and when he went to let the manager know he would bowl also he granted him two free games as well. Great place to bowl. Love the layout. You're seats don't swivel! Which is so nice. And the bull pin to the actual lanes. You have room to move around! Great arcade. Great friendly staff

We had so much fun here on New Years Eve 2022..The new Game Room area is so incredibly clean, w/a huge boost from modern technology updates awesome game prizes its simply a blast for kids as well as adults.

Revising my original review from my 1st visit in February. You can tell that John the owner is truly trying to build this place up. My family and I bowled a couple of games today to make up for the past experience. I think we just have bad luck because we ended up on lane 9 which kept getting stuck and or not placing all 10 pins back down. On the positive note the staff was on it and they would keep getting it fixed pretty quick. Plus we learned how to reset the tracks from their new screens ourselves which

Dear Rose Bowl, $5 a game for standard open bowl is a bit much. If I had actually done the the new Hyper Bowling experience you installed it might have been worth it. But just for a standard game it's ridiculous. You need separate pricing. I love bowling and going to different houses but I don't think I'll be back. The arcade area is cool and my son loves it but as far as bowling I won't be paying that price.

Tonight was my first time there. Very nice place and nice atmosphere. Pizza wad really good and reasonably priced. We bowled and played the arcade. Would highly recommend.

Rose Bowl is a very nice Bowling alley. They host high school bowling. They have a small area of arcade type games. They have a food area. The rest rooms are clean and the whole place is well maintained. It has a nice sized parking lot. Not to mention bowling there is tons of fun!

Went on a Saturday afternoon. Almost the entire place was reserved for a church function that was just over an hour ahead of when we arrived. Asked if we could occupy 1 of the lanes for an hour to accommodate one of my children and their needs... the girl was rude and gave me disgusting looks. We will find a different bowling alley

Nice bowling alley. It was clean nice big tables to sit at. Plenty of room to watch bowlers (we were there for high school bowling) prices for food or drinks were high. Bathrooms need some work.

We love the Rose Bowl. We have had my son?s birthday parties here and we go here as often as we can just to bowl and play some arcade games. Great place to spend time with your family!

Had a blast play for 3 hours well worth it pay the $35 for an hour and a half got about five games in each but I couldn't find a light ball they were all heavy and about 9:00 they put on some fancy light display and the pens glow green red blue it's a wonderful place to go

Good place as far as facility. Customer service needs work. Workers making fun of players and I could here the workers cussing from my alley.

If you want to bowl in new castle this is your place. It's got everything you could want. Snacks, food, beer, and bowling. They have league tournaments if that's your thing. Along with open lanes and rockin bowl. The scoring machines are all new and let you play games also. All in all fun place and the prices are good for a cheap night out.

There are no stall doors in either on of the rest rooms it was supposed to be an 8 day project but it has been 3 weeks this place sucks

I enjoy bringing my family here to bowl because they offer the kids 2 free games each day, you just pay shoe rental all summer long {kids bowl free app on the Google Play Store} plus they also have different daily deals which are pretty good deals!!! The staff are very friendly, pleasant, and respectful!!!

Great lil place to go bowling, I remember sneaking into rock n bowl on Saturdays, the trick was to not get caught, had alot of fun there, me and some of my day ones!

I understand their are new video games and such to pay for but the prices on them are a little higher than I expected them to be. Not gonna break the bank though! Beautiful establishment!

Besides some people not having lane courtesy, we loved this place. Looked well taken care of, staff were nice and better updates than most bowling alleys in surrounding counties.

Had a great time. Staff was nice. Had not been bowling in probibly 15 yrs. Was kind of surprised it cost over 17 bucks for 2 people for 2 games. But it was worth a great time with my son.

Was there for my sons bday party. With 10 people. Lanes kept tearing up and the two attendants never seemed to be around. Had to wait alot to continue bowling. Kids were given ten extra tokens to video games that didnt work at all or work correctly. I grew up bowling here along with my family who has spent alot of time and money in this place. This is not the same alley I grew up in.

It's a cool place,sometimes everything works flawless but then there is nights when u keep waiting for them to fix lanes,beer is always cold though

Rose Bowl is a FANTASTIC place to bring coworkers, friends, or family! They have some state-of-the-art lanes and a miniature arcade! Show up on a Wednesday for a deal!

Bowling was fun but had problems with machine loading bowling pins would not set the correct pins. If you missed somw, next timer, no pins would show. Would have to reset pins so one didn't accurately get the pins bowled down.
