We went to an Alpine Lumber party here on Saturday night and it was fun for it being my first time going there!! The staff was very friendly and the bowling alley was clean. We had pizza and drinks there. I definitely want to go back in the future and next time try ax throwing!
We stopped here on our way to the mountains for a camping trip. My kids absolutely loved this bowling alley! They have arcade games and plenty of bowling lanes. I was extremely impressed by the cleanliness of the whole establishment, especially the restrooms. These guys do a top-notch job at making their business a clean, quality establishment.
Tried for weeks to contact the owner over a refund for a party cancellation because my son threw up the same day as his birthday and finally after numerous voicemails the owner answered and said he wouldn't give us a refund. Normally I am not one to complain, but he was rude and combative over $118 and it was very unprofessional. Will just go to Junction from now on to avoid bad business.
I enjoyed the lanes. The guy working (maybe the owner) was nice, even gave me a tip on bowling. Prices were very reasonable for bowling & drinks. Didn't always get all the pins but it just added to the fun
Great place to bowl, my kid loved the arcade, the man working was super kind.
Visited while on work trip. Loved the atmosphere, people, Bowling and arcade. (Power breaker did go out, but at least it was at the end of our visit) Will visit again if ever that way.
At 6pm it wasnt so packed but after a few games or so the place was really crowded. This bowling alley is really great and really live with locals. The games are $4.00 per game. I will definitely go back here again to bowl. $4.00 per game/person $3.00 Rental shoes $3.50 per game Thursday - Sunday
Super friendly staff, easy place to have fun during the winter time. They also have PBR on top which is rare for Montrose. They have awesome fried mushrooms as well.
We had a really good time here bowling and throwing axes. The gentleman at the front counter was nice to our kids and helped us with our stuff. Great experience and a friendly place to take the kids.
Employee in grey shirt was terrible to us. I assume he was management. Me and my friend went to play a few games Thursday night. At 9:50 we were the only ones left playing. We asked if they would turn the music up a little and they refused. Directly after I asked, the manager turned off the music and the air conditioning. I don't know why but he was extremely rude to my friend as well as my self and even tried to scam me at the end of the night for an extra $12 as I was paying for the games which I thankful
I have always had the best experiences here. The staff is always amazing. I have never had a bad time! The food and drinks are fantastic too! "Highly recommend the pizza!"
We recently reserved 3 bowling lanes and the 2-lane axe throwing area for an office event. Very pleased with the facility and the Staff!! Though typical concession fare was offered everyone attending seemed to enjoy it. I can see the possibility of other events being celebrated here
Great pricing, axe throwing, cold beer, and a good time. Can't wait to go again. They also had an arcade, and some pretty cool prizes. I will be back for more!
This place has fun for everyone. Great place to have a birthday party!
Had an absolute blast! This was my first time ever being in a bowling alley.. the prices were great, considering there were nine of us and we played two games on two lanes. They have a small arcade, a great selection of snacks, and even a bar! Plus they have Axe Throwing. It's $20 a person for a half hour, but they normally cut you a deal if you have a huge group of people. I cannot wait to come here again.
This place is extremely expensive if you have to rent shoes and want to play more than 1 game... Not a single price is posted to their website and IF they are posted in person they arent easily noticeable. It's basically a total guessing game. The arcade is mediocre and fairly ignored. The air hockey table doesn't even push out enough air to keep the puck moving. Bowling use to be one of the few fun and affordable things to do in town. It's very apparent they care more about the leagues than the general pub
It's a good experience overall not to bad of a price, and the pro shop guy is cool and knowledgeable. Fun for the whole family.
Super friendly staff and great atmosphere!
Lane tech recently got updated which made signing in a breeze. Food is always good, we love the fried mushrooms ??. Fried pickles are very literally pickle spears so be aware, delicious though, all of it. 2 games w shoe rental and food for a family of 4 ran us $120
Great place! Good environment! Friendly staff. Only one big complaint... My partner ordered a Malibu and pineapple and the bartender looked and me and said "Sissy". Was slightly taken back and put off. But not going to let one person effect my overall experience. Gave him a big tip and told him to enjoy his night... We did!
I always have such a great time here! The staff and activities are great and have a nice and friendly atmosphere. Definite kudos.
The geriatric cretin behind the counter place my group of 4 kids 4 adults next to the only other people in the place. He was rude when we asked anything. No bumpers for adults because "his daddy said 'only [REDACTED HATE SPEECH] need bumpers". The man was also 100% racist. Lackluster arcade. Rude staff.
Great place to bowl. Lanes are maintained pretty well. Average food. Drinks are about the right price. Smells like a fryer all the time though. Staff has always been professional and fun.
This place brings out my inner King Pin except I'm terrible and I usually just sit around and eat pizza the entire time. The pizza really is better than anywhere else in town as far as just basic pizza goes. My kids have a blast each time and all the employees I've dealt with are super friendly. This place is a classic!
We came here for my husband's birthday party and rented the two lane Axe Throwing section. Everyone had a blast! Husbands were in the Axe Throwing section, kids were bowling and wives were doing everything. We got pizza, that was delicious, and ended the night with birthday cake and arcade games. The staff was amazing to work with and they did all the clean up. I highly recommend having your party at Rose Bowl. It really is fun for the whole family. A big thank you to the staff for making our party a succes
Fun, open space to hang out! Went with one other. Was almost full capacity there, but still had fun! Parking had good capacity as well. Restrooms were multi stall and had good soap.
I feel they are a bit pricey! You pay separately for everything except the ball. To Bowl it's x amount, shoe's x amount so on and so on and the arcade games are a rip off.
We love Bowling and fun games
They're great here and the bowling alley is very modern. We were there with a group of 23 kids. They were so accommodating and patient with us. It was a great place to take our summer camp group, and it's also always fun when we come with family and friends. Great Montrose entertainment!
I would rate it a zero if I could! I called a week before to set up a birthday party there and I was told nothing after 2pm. I told the gentleman we were coming from the grand mesa if I could set something up since it is a far drive he said no. Upon arrival there was a party there with cake etc. So we brought ours in to sing. We had a party of 11 people. The older gentleman was rude when we ordered pizza. Then when I went to pay it was over $200 DOLLARS which the birthday package is 80 for an hr. So while I
We bowled with our toddler for 1 game but the highlight for him was the little arcade. Great family time!
We went in with a group of 8, and the staff was great to us. While bowling, we got drinks and pizza and didn't have to wait long for anything to come over to us.
Wasn't that busy and we had a lot of fun. There was only one guy working there and he was busting his butt, keep up the good work man. Will definitely come back next time I come into town with the family. Great memories ??
Nice fun environment. Clean bathrooms and decent selection of food and drinks.
Worst place ever!!! Bad service and the arcade wasn't working after I spent money on it and I was told to piss off.. really disappointed
It was a great day of bowling to be sure. The cost of three rentals, three games, and some drinks totalled to about 40 dollars! The atmosphere is great, they have an arcade and axe throwing! If you have some friends and some time to enjoy, I'd highly recommend Rose Bowl!
This is a great place to go and have fun with friends or family. Has arcade and food available. The staff is nice and my family and I have fun their. Downsides, not a place to go on popular nights based on the crowd and it could be remodeled a bit to bring new colors or be little more modern. Regardless, would recommend to go and have fun!
We aren't from the area but our kids wanted to go here and play in the arcade. We did. They won alot of tickets. The ticket machine was broken and the guy didn't want to count their tickets so he opened the machine and gave them some hard twizlers and didn't even let them pick their prizes for their tickets. Kinda glad we won't be going back. Good luck with your business.
Excellent 18 lane bowling alley. Friendly owner and staff, great prices, and a full bar. Such an easy going establishment, glad to see them open during these tough covid times! Owner sanitizes everything after each lane is done.
Great small town bowling ally. They serve food and beverages nothing to special just bowling ally quality. The best thing is really just the 70s/80s style bowling ally feel. They even have a little arcade room with a good variety of arcade machines. It is really one of the best bowling places I have been to and I love to bowl.
My family and I have been going her for as long as I can remember. Such an awesome bowling alley and so many memories. Tickets for the arcade never expire. Very peaceful, not too loud.
Great atmosphere, good food. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Took the whole family including 6 year old. Everyone had a great time!
As bowling alleys go, this one is sub par. The staff was kind of ... apathetic. The lanes continuously glitched and failed. We reset the lane 6 times in one round. All of this I could ignore, however there was no AC running in the building, not even air flow. It was hotter inside then outside. It was 83? outside.
Average service, the cleaning aspect could use some help. They had a birthday party when we arrived and for maybe a good hour all the trash the party goers had left stayed there while several employees talked to one another. We needed larger seating so we had to clean up the table and surrounding floor
Great place to do some indoor activity and parties. Deli and bar are great. Good people!
Everything you want from a bowling alley, clean, not very busy, and has shoe rentals. There is also a arcade and axe throwing. For birthdays you can reserve a special room.
Always a fun experience. I'm a lousy bowler, but that doesn't stop me. Great family place.
We had a fun time with all the kids. Very family friendly. And for 1.00 you can get a pitcher of water and styrofoam cups for your group.
Great lanes and nice little arcade. Next is Axe Throwing! I didn't know its there, now you do. Axe throwing party soon!
Great town bowling alley! Lanes are fun. Seating is close together, but you can move chairs which make it much more relaxing and fun to visit while bowling. Highly recommend
Bowling part was great. Food is another story. Ordered cheesw bread. Took 25 minutes bearly any cheese dipping sauce cold. People sitting next to us ordered same thing. Got major cheese on bread. Whats up!!!! Other wise had a great time bowling. Just needs to fix food bar people and their job...
These guys are great. I bring my clients from my business every week, and they are good to us! They even have memorized their shoe sizes! ??
I asked for a medium water and the new girl Elizabeth charged me $2.00 so i went up to the counter after she left to see how much a medium water costs and i got told it cost 50 cents and i know the bowling ally dosnt add tax, tax is already included on every menu item, i love bowling at the rose bowl but it makes me wonder how many time has the new girl Elizabeth overcharged people.
They were beyond packed with birthday parties! It made for such a fun time. The kids had a blast! Saw a group of young men win an Ipad and a young girl win the grand prize on a game in the arcade!!!
Manager was very weird and the prices were a bit much. Air hockey table was dying and needed maintence. Good place to go.
Never crowded if u go early/ before 4pm. Very friendly staff, always greeted with smiles. And now serve beverages from 2 local breweries.
It's fun, affordable, and has decent food! The only negative thing I could say is the prizes in the arcade are kinda boring. ?? It's absolutely wonderful!
Friendly people, great customer service. We had a really fun time!
Very friendly staff, clean restrooms, offer pizza (good stuff), nachos, several different beers by the glass or pitcher. Nice lanes plenty of bowling balls on hand if you don't have you own.
The whole staff is very pleasant to be around. We enjoy going as a family or for date night, thank you guys for giving our small town something fun to do.
Had our company Christmas party there Saturday night. Had a blast. The people there took good care of us and laughed with us. Great place
Broken lane.. half the 2 hours we paid for. Maybe not half but a good 35 to 40 mins altogether. Asked if maybe we could get discount on what we paid for, instead a free game next time. We bowl may 1 to 2 times a year... but hey we got a free game for next time so we can maybe get through a whole game without it breaking.. meanwhile they'll make more money off me. Instead discount here's a free game so you can come back and give us more money while bowling on the f'ed up lane. Only good thing about it was wa
asked for bumpers, was rudely told that if we're over a certain height we should know how to bowl. they refused to put bumpers up for us because we are in fact paying customers. worst $18 i?ve ever spent. i wont ever support this mans business again
Best pizza in town! They have PBR, so that's a plus. Axe throwing is first come, first served and totally worth it
Always great service. Fun place and good prices on the bowling
What a great place! Bartenders were super friendly, accomadted our big group. Hospitality was great. Ax throwing was a hoot! Will be back!
This bowling alley is the BEST! Always friendly staff, fun food options and great bowling.
Had a blast! Was pretty busy 1hr after open on Saturday. Good food, good times, nice lil' arcade
Had a great time, the atmosphere was perfect, and the food and service were excellent.
Nice place!! Prices have gone up like everything else.
Lots of fun. Extremely clean. Super great staff!! I highly recommend going here!
Had a great time at Rose Bowl, the prices are fair, even sodas which I expected to be highly overpriced were equivalent to most chain restaurants. Paid afterwards, so you didnt have to guess how many games you would be up for beforehand
Super friendly staff, clean, kid friendly (bumpers and leaders, arcade), and adult friendly (bar). Didn't have to wait more than a couple minutes for a lane on a busy Friday night
Such a fun place to bring the kids and hang out with friends ??
The website doesn't post their pricing at all which is very inconvenient- otherwise good service and their mini arcade section is so fun!!
Horrible service. You can throw axes while your parent is watching you but not your grandparent. Inexcusable
It was a nice, Family friendly bowling alley. No complaints, we had a blast!
Adorable and welcoming arcade and bowling alley. Had a blast and the bowling machines are really fast here.. would absolutely return!
Fun! Bowling prices were good and the people were friendly. Was not crowded on a Friday night so it was a good place to relax with the family.
Threw axes, $50 per a group for 30 minutes. The bowling balls provided were decent and had a reasonably large selection.
Clean, fun and the guys were very accommodating esp w our kids. We had a blast!
The axx throwing was the best. Really nice staff. So much fun.
Great for some family fun! The staff and management were super friendly!
It's a fun bowling alley games for kids good food a bar for those who like a cocktail while bowling Friendly clean restrooms So go ENJOY the fun
It was a lot of fun. They were very helpful as we brought our granddaughters.
Great customer service. Pretty clean for a bowling alley. Great games for kids
The Rose Bowl was a ton of fun and well maintained. The staff was nice and friendly. We'll go again.
Fun place to get together with friends or family. Clean and well maintained.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
