I made a reservation for 40 people for our baseball team and family members to meet for lunch during our Dreams Park tournament. Making the reservation was fast and easy. In fact, our first reservation had to be postponed by a day due to rain delays and Rookie's contacted me to offer to reschedule because they anticipated that we would need to before I even got the chance to call them. When we arrived, they were immediately ready for us. They allowed each family to have separate checks, which makes group me
Our server was amazingly attentive given that we were in a large group outside. It was nice to have live music and it was awesome to have a little arcade for the kids. Really convenient for after the games at Dreams Park. Thank you!
Convenient location to walk over from Hampton Inn. Prices for kids meals are OUTRAGEOUS. Food was average. My son didn't like his cheeseburger because the $15 kids meal burger patty was burnt. Beer selection was good.
I love these hidden pins where we I go. In defense of the disorganized atmosphere, we stopped in on a random Tuesday in early June at 12:00 pm for lunch. Our waitress, Aurianna, was attentive and delightful. She was slightly less than informed in a few points. Perhaps fault lies on disorganized management. As a "craft house" our lovely waitress was not equipped with an adequate beer menu. Craft beers are complicated and customers rely on a well defined beer menu in order to try something new or find s
Maybe they just opened for the season but didn't have the best experience. Managers all wandering around taking up tables with papers, bags and drinks. Ordered nachos as an appetizer that came with a thimble sized portion of salsa. When I asked for more salsa I was told I would be charged for another appetizer ($12). Burger wasn't cooked how I ordered and bun was soaked with grease. I would go elsewhere if you are staying in the Dreams Park area.
We went to Rookie's earlier this afternoon, after wanting to check it out for a while. It was the Mimosa Flights that got us in the door, where we were immediately greeted by Ashlynn, who also took care of us throughout our visit. Ashlynn was fantastic, taking the time to explain all the different flight options, as well as making sure we knew all the food menu options. Our food was delicious: 2 cheeseburgers, fries, and beef quesadillas. The arcade games were fun. My sister loved playing Skee-Bal
Great place! Love it here and so fun for kids !!!
The food feels like frozen burgers at excessive prices, but I get that. What I don't get is an 18% automatic tip at a place where I order at the bar, get my own food, and bus my own table. Nothing against the people who work there, but when I worked in a restaurant I worked for my tips. Just add it to the price of expensive vacation food and no one would think about it twice.
Don't get the chicken wraps or any sort of wraps here unless you want it cold and uncooked.
The food and beer are very good. Unfortunately none of the amenities were available so the kids were bored and miserable. Do not come here if you want to keep your kids busy while you take a break. Edit: I'm also told we could not take the ketchup outside.
No table service but they charged my party of three their automatic 18% gratuity. We had to place our own order at the bar, seat ourselves, and then walk up to get our food when it was ready once our filthy food covered buzzer went off. Not once did one server even ask us if we needed refills. Say who did I tip? On top of the $18% gratuity, chuck in another 4% for using a debit card. Utensils were random mismatching and cheap plasticware. My fork was a small white spork, and the knife was gabbed from
Eehh... The taco bar is only available if there are parties of 30 or more. All tacos are served cold, but meat had to be reheated. Fried chicken isn't really fried, not sure how to describe. Quesadilla was good. Self serve drinks and ordering concept restaurant. One and done for us
The food was basic, half the price of the meal to sub French fries, and they will charge you 18% gratuity for punching in your order on their computer system - even if selecting a custom tip amount, 18% will be added to the top. No service, you pick up your own food from a window and walk to grab your own drink refills. Over $100 for 4 people to eat a small burger and fries.
This place is gold. Great food, entertainment and fun for the kids! Great things are coming to this place!!
Nice little place to ride go karts bumper boats or just use the batting cage.
This place was great. The food was great kids were entertained for hours and they were able to accommodate a huge group with ease.
We were looking for something fun to do on a rainy day. There are big signs out front boasting "arcade!" When we got inside there were maybe 10 outdated arcade games, most of them racing games. 3 of them were out of order and the pool table was out of order as well. They didn't give tickets or have a ticket card, so no prizes (which is fine, just wish we had realized). That's the only indoor activity we saw, there may have been more but we weren't greeted or acknowledged by anyone and couldn't find an assoc
Came in with a party of 30. Kailee was the most pleasant bar tender! Service was quick and easy. The buzzer system was super convenient.
Looks nice on the outside, that is the only positive. Slow go-karts and only 5 laps. Very boring mini-golf course. Lazer Tag does not work, made my kids real mad. Food was cold, how can fried chicken tenders coming out of a fryer be cooked but still freezing cold and soggy? My guess is they cooked them earlier and put them in the microwave. Meals come with generic plain chips. $11 and you don't even get fries! They charge $1 for refills of soda! Can't even get a small cup of ice when it's 90 out. The owner
It is really fun! The go karts and a bit bumpy and hurts your hands as you drive, but very fun! The bumper boats are so much fun and it is just hard to control. The Laser tag is fun, but the area is not that big. overall, it's super fun! definitely would recommend for ages 7- 12.
Really fun! Clean and friendly. Lots of options to eat. Loved the bumper boats in a lake right next to the ducks. Nice big track for the go carts. We all Had a great time.
Not what we expected. We live local and thought we would try it out for a day of fun but it has had little to no maintenance over the years. The staff was helpful and nice overall but the go karts, bumper boats, and mini golf were terrible. The boats get so hot that we had to leave them early so we didn't burn our legs. This could be a great place with some TLC but we were highly disappointed.
We stopped because of Mexican food advertisement. Food is order at counter and pick up and was limited Mexican along with standard food for an amusement park. While not quite what we expected the food was good and reasonable and we played a few games of pool while waiting. Little dated could use a little TLC but we liked it.
I actually stopped here for their $1 tacos which were american style and slamming. I got my tacos faster then taco Bell could give me my order and the guy made it fresh right after I ordered them. The nachos were a little bit too well done but the nacho cheese it came with was really good. The French fries from this place are super crispy. This is an excellent fast food stop or eat in they have Mexican and american favorites, they also have a game room and lots of activities for children like batting cages
We visited the Baseball Hall of Fame and was in need of some child-friendly entertainment. My grandson was excited to visit Rookies Craft House. Crickets. . .The place is all but shut down. Overgrown grass and absolutely no useful kid's activities except a few old arcade games. The bar and restaurant were open but vacant with nobody at the tables (3:30 pm). We exited and drove back toward Cooperstown. A waste of time. The website gave no indication that the place is kaput. Avoid if you're in this area.
I agree with previous reviews, the blonde cashier was very rude and miserable and wouldn't even give me my drink, I had to ask a different cashier for it. To be fair, I only had food and it was mediocre at best. The tacos were sad and soggy. The salsa was very good. The nachos left much to be desired. I can honestly say I will not be going here again.
This place needs work. Go karts are too slow for min. height of 54". They appeared to be the perfect speed for my 6 year old who wanted to ride, but wasn't tall enough. The lazer tag allowed 6 players. One gun worked really well, a few others worked sparingly and there was a couple that didn't work at all. We did 3 rounds, with different kids each time and it was consistent. When my kid (13) went his gun didn't work and we ended up asking for our money back. Multiple games in the mini arcade took our money.
The go carts go fairly fast but the steering is hart and it hurts your back. The mini golf was ok but it was just so old and the clubs were pretty bad. The prices we okbut a little overpriced
This place is so much fun. The food is fantastic. Anyone that says it's dated or needs tlc doesn't understand seasonal upstate, NY. It's not a cookie cutter place. It has a snack bar atmosphere, the kods can run and be safe...and beer! It's run by local kids and is a great authentic upstate NY place. 5 stars.
Great place for a team party at Cooperstown. Lots of space, indoor and outdoor activities to keep the kids entertained and they make it easy to order/pay for each family separately even when you have a big group.
The cashier Dakota that works there is a great guy and keeps it cool at work. But there was a girl that looked to be young that completely was rude to me and my friends. We just wanted some ice cream and play golf but the girl told us to get out.
i really wouldn't recommend going to this place lolz. my friend, my dad, and i went to go eat at the mexican place that was located inside the ?fun park?. we went to play some games before we ate which was fine but one of the games didn't work AT ALL. it wasn't the end of the world so we just let it go. we then played pool. that all was fine but then our food came. mine was okay but i had just nachos, my friend had a quesadilla, and my dad had tacos and al together it was about $50. NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!! i c
I would rate it 0 stars if I could. When I first arrived I immediately ran to the go-karts. I was waiting in line for around 10 minutes. Then out of nowhere there comes a large group of very rude people, when the guy working there let us into the karts it was all hell. I was in the front of the line and all of those people literally were pushing all over me, the guy there witnessed all of this and didn't say a peep to them but instead held me back and let them all through except me. I ended up walking away
Owner is a miserable person, park is run down and he charges too much for what it is. Was alot better when his father ran it. It's run down at this point, owner's house hasn't been painted in probably 30 years. Mini golf astro turf is peeling up and there aren't 45? corners to make it easier and more fun for the kids. Not worth the money.
Went there to use batting cage specifically asked about the speeds the machines throw. Indicated we were only interested in the 2 faster speeds. We bought $20 in tokens. Got out there 3 machines were out of order the 2 i specifically asked for. My younger son tried to use 1 of the slower machines balls got jammed switched to another balls hit the ground before batters box. We asked for a refund and they said there us no refunds. I Raised hell to gwt half my money back and they threaten to call police.
Great for teams or small groups. Indoor and outdoor seating and grass areas for kids to let loose. Food and drinks are fast, quality and quanity. All around great spot while in cooperstown.
After a trip to the er for back problems and 2 weeks of school missed from go carts, a fun day was not worth all the pain. The other games are great. Repairs to the track and carts are needed
Don't do it. The staff if rude as all get out. The Lazer tag was too dark and they have structure support pillars which you will easily run into, half the games don't work and unless you show up with a crowd you're on your own.
Good track, we had quite a few laps. But my cart was so slow, I got lapped by the other racers. So not that fun if driving with someone else.
Might as well stayed home.... Had to clean my own table, order my own food at the bar and pick up my food from the kitchen. And the bartender kept telling me I better tip good. Terrible place!!!!
Great place to take the team while in Cooperstown. There is plenty to do there for the kids, mini golf, arcade games, corn hole a pool table. Lots of outdoor seating.
Grand kids had a great time hitting baseballs and riding go-karts
Dakota was awesome and chill and friendly but the girl was mean at mini golf. Overall the fun park was indeed a fun park.
Great place and good live music! The kids could explore or play a game, more than just a place to eat!
We found this place driving around the area on a day trip to Coopersburg. Definitely worth the stop!
Not much to go with here... everything is old....Beer is expensive...Rides are even more expensive ...You would think with a baseball stadium down the street with 104 teams a qwek for 13 weeks every summer some upgrades would be done. No wonder qhy at 7 pm there are 6 kids here at the park
Unsafe and unsanitary mini golf course! Pools of green mucky water from not being taken care of. Completely run down..Save your money for the course down the street!
The mini golf course is rundown and terrible. Staff was very friendly and we were given a full refund.
The beer is okay but they don't have anything you expect. No beer that's on the menu and no go karts or bumper boats or anything else.
Kids really liked the go-karts. They let us ride so many more times. It was awesome
Terrible service food was bad and very high prices for the food and service received.
I just spent $20 on a burrito that was so nasty! Don't go here if you want somewhat good food!
Burrito was cold and not good. Service was slow.
My bf n I brought my kids there. We loved it!!!! We go karted as a family
Drove here to have a fun day. Closed for the season. Should update your hours so google shows you as closed.
Great place to take the kids from Cooperstown dream park for an evening. Something for everyone.
The cashier Dakota was very nice but then a woman came and was giving me a paying costumer a hard time
Good service, good food. Not a big menu but what they serve is good.
No more go karts or boats. Just mini golf and very small arcade. They need to update their stuff
Dakota the first cashier was nice and very helpful mean while the second cashier girl was very disrespectful and wouldn't let me a paying customer play and screamed at me to get out of the store which was disgusting
The go kart track really needs to be smoother out, it was terribly bumpy and actually caused my friends back to ache for a week
Terrible place. Awful food, workers who dont care, and they dont let you have fun.
A little run down, but the go cart ride are nice and long!
Dakota was a cool guy but the girl was really moody and she needs to change her attitude
I'm still a kid at 50, loved it, great prices and employees too
I didn't enjoy the rides but the food was 19 out of 10
Very good place to go with a big group or a sports team
The place is very run down and sad the people are mean they won't let you fish in the pond away from the boats even if you release the fish you catch
Went by here last week, 9/2022?but they were already closed for the season.
Good selection of beer, so-so burrito supreme
Love the atmosphere, great service?
Lots of fun for kids just a little pricey
It is a fun place for kids to live there dreams
Kids enjoy it, they have beer.
So much fun. 100/10 amazing staff
Needs some much needed TLC! Okay, but not worth the $$...
Awkward set up and food was not good
Fun but very run down
Over priced for what you get to do
Nice but bumpy track
Best deal in Cooperstown!
Very friendly people
Ran down little park
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
