Was happy that my daughter had lots of fun Customer service was 0 for me . Host didn't acknowledge me for about half hour til after I arrived I never even knew which table was mines. Waited an hour to get refills or any other service bc host wasn't anywhere to be found. Went to order food and it took long for cashier to give me my food she had a nasty attitude. The cashiers in the front were awesome upon entry though and it wasn't wild inside so that was good.
Rolling Thunder is an exceptionally clean and well-maintained facility. We had a great time, and it's clearly a family-friendly environment. During our visit, the manager personally checked in to ensure everything was satisfactory. I mentioned a minor issue with my fries, and he promptly resolved it without hesitation. He was courteous, professional, and attentive. I highly recommend this location and look forward to visiting their other skating rinks.
Fantastic fun family-friendly.My grands love to skate the food is good. The rides and arcade is a plus
Brung my daughter and her friends here on her birthday and we all had an experience out of this world !! From the customer service to the music and entertainment! Money well worth to spend!! Everyone is so nice and the food is sooo GOOD and FRESH ! I will be returning !!! And let me not forget the prices are amazing !!
Good morning I've got to say, hands-down, one of the best experiences I've ever had my toddler, and my whole village was satisfied our host. Taniera she was great. Her service was efficient, timely effortless professional I would totally recommend and again I had a wonderful time. There was a slight hiccup where me and one of my party guest had our kids wait to get on the yellow ride and we asked the girl at the front desk three times she had braids She eventually came over. Our kids got on the ride enjoye
Overall a good idea for the summer holidays to have the children go out and have fun skating. The staff was extremely pleasant and easy to talk with. The game arcade had lots of functional options and my son Jordan enjoyed his time even though he didn't skate. My nice was celebrating her birthday and my nephew and daughter had a blast on skates. The music and the ambience was perfect for the evening. Thanks to the owners and staff for showing up daily to create a great atmosphere for skating in the north
We attended a birthday party here and I can't say enough about how amazing and kind the staff are. Everything ran so smoothly but it was also NICE, like legitimately so kind and genuine. I threw my daughter a party at a different roller rink because I did not know Rolling Thunder existed and ours turned out to be subpar. If you're debating where to have a party or go skate, this is your place! And they have two cute rides. The music was great, arcade games worked, prize area was cute, and they gave a ?money
I've been here a few times on field trips. This is a classic roller rink with a decent-sized arcade area as well. Overall, I like the place and experience, though I wished the facility would stop aggressively marketing their glow items for the glow skate to students (they advertise the upcoming glow skate multiple times on the loudspeaker and urge kids to purchase blacklight items from the shop there).
Nylah and the manager, Shawn C. were great. Nylah made my son's get together go so smoothly. Shawn answered all my questions and was very helpful as well. Everyone had such a great time; the kids didn't want to leave. And an honorary mention to Security Shawn. Great staff, even better time. :)
I am deeply grateful for the exceptional service provided by the staff at Rolling Thunder over the weekend. Prior to the event, Manager Kim thoroughly briefed me on the party's details and what to expect. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, including my party hosts Nala and Kamara, who demonstrated exceptional support for my sons 6th birthday celebration. The entire team, including those not directly involved in the party, maintained a courteous and smiling demeanor throughout the eve
I had my 15 yo son's birthday party here and boy did we have a great time. Bought the deluxe package which paid for 10 kids and parents are free. My son said it was his best birthday yet??
This place was amazing. All the staff were very polite and friendly. From the phone calls to the service when we arrived. Each and everyone was very nice and helpful. I would give 10 stars if I could. I would definitely be back and recommend. Thanks Rolling Thunder ??
My son enjoyed his birthday there. They brought SpongeBob out for him as a surprise! Thanks to the manager and DJ for making his day special
I haven't been here in years because I heard they closed due to some roof damage. Went there to get my daughter out of the house. The entrance fee was reasonable and the plane was very clean. The only complaint is the music and DJ, to a small extent. The music was all over the place, a lot of slow jams and dub-step, gave us both headaches and the DJ kept interrupting the song for this and that, so Thai between songs. Also I'm not sure why there's a bridge to the DJ/Dance floor, but shut it down. Every minu
My granddaughter had a great time with our church family Kingdom Life Center Ministers, 800 Tabor Rd, Philadelphia, PA
I had a party for my daughter on 12/3/22. Nigeria D. Was our party hostess, and she went above and beyond to make sure her party ran smoothly and stress free. Her attentiveness to our party was absolutely amazing. She welcomed everyone in our party individually and took her time to go and assist them with getting tickets for their skates and pushers for the non skaters. Her attentiveness eased all my worries and she made our party a success. We purchased the high roller package for 11 kids and my daughter e
Had a school field trip here and the service was superb! Staff was friendly and helpful and my students enjoyed themselves. Will be back!!!
We had good days here when it was Wow. As usual, it's a school trip day. Many people and limited time. There were a lot of rules and not many support staff for the volume of school students, with 2 schools.. Everything worked out, as the kids had a day away from classes, but there is room for change. The ride was not in use. Long lines for food and a long time was taken for entry and skates. I hope it gets better for the kids.
The brunette woman who serves the lights and ice cream, what a bad attitude, terrible service, the guys on the skates, excellent service, please show the lady professional customer service!! we pay for good service
The staff were amazing! They provided such a wonderful experience for my students. This place goes above and beyond!!!
HOLY-FREAKING-SMOKES. I LOVEDDDDD this place. Omg. My husband and I hosted our daughter's private 5th birthday party here and we are BEYOND pleased with our entire experience. THIS PLACE is incredible. The kids AND the adults had fun! The staff was PHENOMENAL (Shelby, Shaqor, Lorraine, and the other super sweet tall young lady), and we literally cannot say enough about our experience. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. We were all smiles the entire time. The staff was very accommodating, they had the part
It is one of the best places for kids and adults. Their soda and pizza is so good and it is a fun place too.
If you have young kids go early in the afternoon. I had a birthday party for a 6 year old on a Saturday (12:30-3) & it was great. Not too many people & good music. Around 3:30 the DJ changed & so did the music. I thought it was not suitable for children ( curse words & talking about sex...) But we had a fantastic time. The 2 rides are awesome.
I would like to say that there was a young lady by the name of Solange Anderson who was so amazing this evening she was on top of her game in the food area very pleasant well mannered and a breath of fresh air when dealing with the young community. Thank you Solange for handling everything for me tonight keep being an amazing young lady
Food is absolutely horrible will not waste my money again. Waited an hour for cold stiff food. As far as the skating goes it was cool. My 4 year old skated for hours and the guys working on the floor was very helpful because I don't skate. We'll come back on dollar night.
We made the best of this place. I feel it is a great place for the children . However, The staff is NOT friendly or kid oriented. We had a party an I barely saw the host she was NOT knowledgeable about anything. We didn't get pizza & stuff until 5:00pm( my party started at 3:30pm. We had to wait long periods for things like napkins, soda & pizza. Lastly, the BATHROOM GIRLS SPECIFICALLY were atrocious. Toilet paper ever where smelly and the trash was over flowing throughout the facilities. We will come ag
Kids definitely enjoyed themselves and staff were superrrrr helpful when it came to me misplacing my phone would definitely recommend. When it came to rides the staff made them enjoyable for the kids got them hyped up . Staff kept on top of cleaning and restrooms were clean . They communicated when it came to waiting on my food order .food was hot and fresh . I'd suggest going on there website for different discounted days .
This facility was a terrible choice for a skate party. Our instincts told us not to go there, but we will never make that mistake again. The atmosphere was ghetto from staff and the staff tried to overcharge us for the party. The party host was more interested in talking to her friends than actually hosting the party. Even worse, the individuals who paid $28 didn't get everything that was included in the package that was paid for when it came to joining my daughter?s birthday. To top it off, our birthday gi
It was fun they're trying to change the atmosphere and I like that, the staff is much nicer. I like the managers their a lot more respectful..The DJ'S are cool, loving Fridays from 6:30-9-30
Prices online are different upon arrival..they charge more when the kids are on winter break and we traveled 30 mins just to arrive to a different price. And they simply said they forgot to take down the three big signs posted and the post online. Then charges an adult $3 to stand around?Never again Rip Off!!!!
It was on until my granddaughter hurt her wrist and she couldn't move it and only the staffs helped her so I'll give it a 4 1/2
This is an ok place for the neighborhood and for parents who don't drive or feel like traveling. They are pretty expensive. Entrance fees depend on the day an time, the skate rentals as well...there is no organization here either. The food is very expensive. E.g. Lg. Frozen pizza and Picture of mainly ice and some fountain soda was $21.00 with no refill, just to give you an idea. The days we went the air must have been off because it was so hot and everyone was thirsty. We stood in line and didn't get w
While I had a blast being around my family and friends .. I think that whn spending that kind of money thing s should be a bit more organized & communication between staff could be better. My mom had to use a table clothe to cover up rolls of carpet and equipment in the ?vip? room. After I said something I was told tht I have access to everything I paid for. I was also told my mom could come at 8:30 to start decorating she got there at 8:30 n had to wait. Whn I mentioned it to the girl she told me the party
First the birthday parties are over priced they took away the ice cream cakes so u have to bring your own now they barely had staff. Staff looked exhausted the pizza had way too much sauce not enough cheese the character that came out (last minute) was terrible ! I don't recommend having a child?s party here at all!!!!THE DJ WAS GREAT ! Prices are way too high for that kinda service. THE BATHROOMS were horrible it was scissors laying out on the table labeled ?host? they took away juice refills during birth
The place was amazing. I had my son party here on Sun June 10th. We didn't reserve a space just brought our stuff and grabbed tables. They had stuff to do for all ages. My kids couldn't skate but they had a walker on wheels to assist new beginners. They had a are in middle that the teens hung out and danced to the music and a area for kids to play games...they have 2 rides inside the place that looked kiddieish until u got on...it was fun for kids and adults. The food was good as i wasn't expecting it to be
This visit for my daughter's birthday was an outright disappointment. The music the DJ played sounded like his personal mp3 list or his friends beats which weren't appropriate for kids. The kids are rolling around on giant, disabled looking walkers which makes everyone at the rink falling all over each other, so...no real skating is happening here. It's poorly managed, chaotic, and my child was fed up and wanted to leave after a while. There's no good time to go because it's a hot mess at all hours. In fact
Had a birthday party for an 8 & 4 yo girls on a Saturday afternoon. Shakoor & Nyla (hostess) were great. They were very attentive, professional, & pleasant to talk to. Nyla consistently kept the crew hydrated & always came to the table with a smile. The kids had the best time ever & I plan on having another party soon. I would also like to say that all the staff were professional & willing to help. I read some reviews about the food & I personally have no complaints. We had pizza, (that was fresh & came out
My grands love to come here with their friends.
Customer service could've been a tad bit better. & The characters could've stayed on the floor a little while longer, 3 mins wasn't enough! My daughter still enjoyed herself; esp on the rides!
If you want to stay away from ghetto, don't come here. I even had someone today pissed because i was (breast) feeding my infant. It's very sad that it's so ghetto. It was a lil chaotic for the birthday party today. Party was at 1 and they don't open the door till 1, so you can't setup till 15 min into your party. By the time the kids in the party got skates it had been 30 min into their skate time. They had unlimited rides but i only saw them run it 3 times. My daughter waited while it was running and when
I was at this place 11 years ago. It was a fun experience.
Up the fee a little than hire someone that can take care of the restrooms better, don't forget it's a family friendly spot, other than that my daughter had much fun and that's what matters. ????????
So I came here for my son. The rink is small. The parking is horrible. The people are rude. You have to pay for admission & skate rental whether you skate or not between 2 & 17 years of age. Non skating adults can just pay for admission which is $3.00. I wouldn't have known this except that I came all the way here. Admission & skates it appears is $9.00. Then you MUST sign a waiver when you come in. You can add an additional $4.00 for food as well. They have bars also on wheels you can also rent as well, b
The manager at the food court is wonderful. His name is Shawn. If he was allowed to receive a tip I would have given him $100 but I had to result to give him a rating through this app. The service he provided was exceptionally well and I will be returning in the near future.
$12 admittion and $6 for skate rentals, they also have family packages,
Awesome time. My family had a 70's/80's skating birthday party! Rolling thunder was great with decorations and all !
it's still a reasonable price, but the food still not to my liking. But I won't take that away from anyone else?s taste buds. If you enjoy skating and a family atmosphere you can't go wrong
Nice place to have a party for a good deal of $36 with unlimited rides 24 tokens and even a special birthday annoucement! But I wish this place fix it ticket machines and games so I don't have to keep calling the supervisor every 5 minutes to fix it currently there's about 9 machines out of order and 4 with tokens stuck in them I hope this gets fixed soon
This place is amazing for people within the area or people feel like taking a small drive. The rides are insanely fun with staff to hype you up, and the arcade games are fun. The pull up bar is insanely cool and I won a prize for hanging for 90 seconds. The skating rink was a good amount in size.
Fun place to bring your children skating. They have food, soft drinks, music, games, rides and skating rink. Great place to have your child's birthday party.
Came here for a school trip and the kids had a great time!
I gave them 3 stars it was great for my students but food service sucked. They had 1 cashier, and it took me an hour to get my food. I had 15 mins to wolf down my wings, and fries before we had to get back on the bus.
I had my daughter's 10th B-Day there it turned out very well. Host was very helpful polite & respectful..
MYSELF AND MY CHILDREN FAVORITE SKATING RINK EXPERIENCE WE ARE HERE EVERY WEEK, CLEAN ENVIRONMENT, FRIENDLY STAFF, EXTREMLY GREAT MUSIC, EXTREMLY FUN RIDES, AND FUN GAMES, WE LOVE THIS PLACE.
It stunk really bad in there, but my grands enjoy their selves
A little hood for me but it was a nice time.
Me and my kids had great experience there. Shawn was great host. I really recommend visiting this location.??
I love the new rules of 2 teenager entrance per adult I would recommend teens needing their school id's or state id's upon entrance also make the wrist bands with their parents match write numbers on them. Please keep the children safe
I had a great time at Rolling Thunder. The staff was helpful and courteous. It was a great social distanced activity.
Today we celebrated my son's 8th birthday here and everything turned out GREAT!!! Kim at the front did a wonderful job handling the crowd, and answering a million and one questions everyone had. My birthday host not sure of the young lady name,I want to say Miss Johnson was also great, she made sure all my wants and needs were met and was very pleasant. The whole birthday party had a great time today. Not to mention the DJ kept everyone updated with the EAGLES score and everyone was going crazy. It was a real
We went there Sunday for a birthday party. Everything was wonderful. The staff, the music and food. The kids enjoyed themselves so much we will definitely come again. Great service from Maya at the front who helped us even though she was extremely busy! Thanks for a great time!!
Shakur mason was the best supervisor ever I give them 5 stars I would recommend this place to anyone thank yall so much my daughter had a wonderful experience
Attended with family. We had fun but this place needs a full makeover/renovation. The carpets are horrendous. They need more than a shampoo or deep cleaning. They need to be replaced. In the handicap stall in the restroom the toilet is way to low. The staff was really nice though.
I didn't actually go in so I'm not going to give 1 star but just by looking in through the window on the front door I can see/hear that the music is very loud and because of the carpeted area in the center, the rink itself gets crowded very easily. And based on the reviews I've seen, the other aspects of this place besides the rink aren't great either and they're definitely not worth the weekend admission price. Considering how much admission is on the weekends (I went on a Saturday), I can't recommend thi
Rolling thunder had a real family feel to it... I appreciated the diverse community where everyone was having a great time. The DJ had chosen some major throwbacks which was awesome to skate to. I used the chat option to ask for holiday specials which was attended to very quickly. As a bonus my son left his coat behind and they accommodated holding onto it until I could pick it up. Would highly recommend if you're looking for good old fashioned fun!!!
Great place for the kids. This was our first time, and my daughter liked it and learned how to skate in 10 minutes. It wasn't too crowded, but we got there about 30 minutes before closing. Staff can brush up on customer service, but they seemed to be teens or no older than 20ish, so it's par for the course
Shawn C. Is the best. Knowlegeable, helpful, curtious l, welcoming and professional. This is New Kingdom Church preferred rink. Thank you Shawn C.
There needs to be more staff to regulate what is happening. Fun place, but the kids are all over. Hard for my daughter to learn to skate here. Will take her elsewhere until she can handle this place
I brought about 20 college aged students to Rolling Thunder for a private skate workshop and they had an absolute blast! Mr. Dorian was so accommodating. All the staff were very professional and took great care of my students. Mr. Dorian made sure staff was on the floor to help up any student who fell. Mr. Dorian is also a fantastic DJ who is actually pretty well known by the right people! The facilities are clean, the environment was great, and I would definitely bring my students back.
I would have given 5 stars if my entering wasn't so congested but they were just opening so everyone was trying to get in , i feel like they were under staffed when we got there till about a hour or so after ,then more staff came and the one ride my daughter wanted to ride for her bday was broken which was disappointing cause it broke as she was in line a piece flew out so maybe its better she didnt ride it but they did refund me so it was ok and the bathrooms were not super cleanalot of pee on the floo
This place is the most unorganized skating rink I've ever been to. The staff is super ghetto and has to many young teen with the worst attitudes. I didn't like it and didn't feel my children were safe skating due to all the Olympic style skating from amateurs, very dangerous setting for beginner skaters
Ok..everything has a price...the stake rentals, there is an entrance fee, the lockers and the small toddler walkers ar $6.00 and that depends on the day. It is really hot inside, no air circulation at all. The food of course is expensive ?? very expensive $15 for a little pizza. The kids enjoyed themselves of course..the one thing ai will say is that they allow parents on the floorbwithout skates to help the children...that was tiring.
Just had my twins b-day there they made it welcoming everything came out perfect....thanks to Shakur....
It's good clean family fun. I enjoyed being there and so did the children. Parents have to stay with their children if the children are under 18. I gave 4 stars because it doesn't feel very safe. It appears to only be one way in and out, and the guards are not searching people as they come in.
Shut this place down! It closes 8-9pm. Many kids that come to that rink take the opportunity after to cause havoc in the neighborhood. It's been going on since I was a teenager when it was called WOW! That was 24 yrs ago. The curfew is still in affect yet kids who don't live in the area are traveling home unattended. There's zero police presence during the let out. The parents should be just as equally responsible.
Rolling Thunder with the children of Russell Byers Charter School kid was fun they truly enjoyed their time there and just wish that the food options were little better and would have been more cleaner. But overall kids had a good time.
This is the worst place to have a party. We got here early and weren't let into the building until 20 minutes after our party start time. We then had to wait 2 hours for the food we were told would come out an hour into the party. It's extremely disorganized, the staff seem clueless and direct you to ?someone else? who directs you ? someone else?. I would not recommend this place to hold your child?s party. The level of disorganization is mind blowing. Unprofessional, trashy and extremely overpriced.
We went on a Wednesday night for our anniversary and it couldn't have been a better night. The enjoyed the music, I love that they have a rest area in the middle of the floor of the kids to rest. We will definitely be back again soon. WE HAD A BLAST!!!!
We had family night which was memorable ???
I had an amazing time! Super kid friendly, all staffs were great! The customer service was also great. This is definitely a spot to visit to have fun, and enjoy yourself.
We celebrated my daughter's 8th birthday here on 1/21/23 and unfortunately it was a less than stellar experience. We were extremely displeased with our overall party experience. Guest entrance into the party was extremely disorganized! Guests were not given clear instructions on where to go and how to obtain skates, which left entrance into the party very chaotic for everyone. We often had to leave the party area to escort our guests to get their skate tickets and sign their waivers. The hosts were nice,
Bad rentals and I seen a mouse run out the the kitchen
$92 for 6 admissions ,skating, large pizza pitchers 24 tokens
ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT HERE!!! Bring my kids here often and we always have a good time. IMO I see people who like to complain about the dumbest things..."disorganized concession, poor quality food and drink"...it's a skating rink, not a diner. I seen someone else who gave this place 2 stars for people smelling and the music being too loud when all they did was look thru the window...they didn't even enter the place!! Skating rinks are supposed to have loud music and yes, some people smell which you'll find ever
My daughter's party went great. The dj gave get a shout out, the staff was friendly and accommodating. I just don't like that they open at 6 and your party starts at 6 so they should allow the host to enter at least 20 mins sooner to set up so the participants get the full party time. Otherwise, it was great!
I was here last September for my 65th birthday, and I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the people were. The staff was also very polite and helpful. The guest allowed me to go ahead of them in line and inside on the floor they were just as considerate and polite. You don't here about this on the local news!
Atmosphere was clean peaceful and fun. The party pizza was not good st all. The individual size was pretty ok. Otherwise the crowd was nice size not too overbearing for having small children. Will definitely go again.
I've been going here since 1983 name change 3 x love kids have fun games rides food dance floor bathroom lockers $10 to get in $5 rent stakes went sunday had so much fun lots of memories
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
