Customer Reviews

I honestly cannot believe we came here several times over the last few years. I attribute it to the fact we moved into the area a few years ago and this establishment offers a few activities we enjoy. This place could be so specia, a local gem. But... Trust me, you will feel like an inconvenience EVERY time you go. We have gotten to know the area better and no longer have to suffer through the horrid customer service we received here all those times. As a 25 year veteran in the service industry I will never

My family and I were new to town and looking for a place to have fun during the cold weather. We stopped here, upon entering I noticed it was clean, with friendly staff faces. Lines for shoes and lanes were about 5min wait. They serve food and drinks. Yes, they have bumper lanes and even plastic dinosaur slides to help young ones get their balls down the lanes. As for the mini golf, I will be taking my children there within the next couple of weeks now that the weather is nice.

Was there for a grandkids birthday party. Rooms available for parties, also had lanes reserved for bowling. Lanes are very automated, easy for kids and adults to bowl on the same lane. Pizza was very good. Everyone had a great time. Highly recommend.

Great Bowling has mini golf and an arcade, and their mozzarella sticks are amazing. Update: they now have basketball in the arcade

Claimed had ?unreal bowling Friday and Saturday 8pm? showed up at 8:30 but they wouldnt let us out till 9:30. Place is also an absolute hole.

Amazing place amazing food drinks atmosphere, staff are friendly and very helpful great place just to have fun and have a great time

Diamond in the rough. Was concerned upon initial outside appearance, but pleasantly surprised inside. Automatic bumper lanes is HUGE plus when bowling with kids. Bowling is priced right. Food is priced right and delicious. Nice small little arcade for kids after bowling. Staff was so friendly and caring.

They donated a party to my grandchildren's school. I won it!! The employees were friendly and so helpful. The place is super clean. The lanes are easy to use. They have bowling aides for people with disabilities or little ones to bowl. The kids had a great time in the arcade too!!

Pretty good bowling alley. Cheap fun for the kids. Great menu to choose from. The pizza was good.

We had a fun time playing mini golf here. When you're from a big suburb near Chicago this is a nice change of pace. Fun little putt putt course only 15 minutes from where we were staying in Cambridge by Lake Ripley.

Happy hour prices for a few beers. Appetizers were delicious. Service from Kathy was awesome.

Just started Thursday bowling league. The staff is super friendly. I've heard nothing but good about the food. It's a full house and lots of good bowlers. The lanes are very well maintained. The climate is controlled well for consistency on the approach. If your a bowler, you know what I mean

Very accommodating, they offer a bowling ball ramp for the mobile impaired .

Awesome place to have my grandson's birthday party.

Super clean and staff is amazing with questions

It's a nice bowling alley that I've been to a few times now with friends, but it's a bit weird with how the schedule on "league night" versus regular nights work. Trying to call ahead or to check availability at the time hasn't been possible since we couldn't seem to get a response, and ended up driving there just to be able to check availability. The food is good, but the mini golf (last time I saw it) really needs to be redone. It seems as though it's a bit of an afterthought, which is fine if they don't

This was quite a surprise. From the outside it doesn't look like anything big or special but as soon as you go in the doors you can see how spacious and well maintained it is. There was a large dining/bar area, a long row of lanes, a game room, and multiple party rooms as well. We were there for a child's birthday party. The kids had a ton of fun bowling and playing in the game room. A real hidden gem! Would love to go back!

Yummiiie our bloody tonight was soo good. Bartender ROCKED. food was amazing

We went to the Rock River Lanes for our granddaughter?s birthday. We were pleased to see that masks were used here, except for a couple of customers. Very clean , with social distancing. Our pizza was excellent. We had fun bowling. Nate was very helpful and accommodating. We will be back again and would recommend Rock River Lanes to all.

Lovely place, my family and I love bowling, however the people (community) not so much, got send some racist comments on the lane chat while I was out with my family and went with my friend and her son and we were stared at and had awful face gestures made at us, unfortunately we don't feel safe enough to go back, we did let establishment know about the comments but we just ended up leaving. Really sucks when you can't have a good time out like every other family just because of skin color.

The woman at the counter was very rude. Ordering a beer seemed to be a huge inconvenience for her.

Good bowling but our table for our lane was a complete mess and the last bowlers left a ton of balls in the ball return thing

We love going to rock river lanes. The owner is really nice and they have great food.

Awesome place to bowl. Belong to Wednesday Morning Coffee League. Nate is always helpful and pleasant to all his customers. Feel safe there with all the precautions Nate he has put in place during this Covid virus. Chicken bites are awesome too!

I'm trying different lanes out and am glad I found these lanes! Great place altogether, Nate is an awesome owner and pro shop guy, and in both of my experiences there, the lanes were very well cared for and groomed nicely. Looking forward to shooting there more! Alan Jefferson,WI

What a blast! Bowled 4 games and rented shoes for 13 bucks. Total bargain. Plus great fries for 2 bucks! Great bar, beer, and plenty to do if you're not bowling. Staff is friendly and spot on with service. Had a ball. Thanks guys!

Awesome atmosphere and friendly environment. Also a very nice venue for wedding receptions.

Came for glow bowl Friday night. The place is clean and its a decent bowling alley however they make you pay for music from the jukebox instead of pumping it in like every other bowling alley out there during glow bowling. They must be pretty hard up for cash if they make you plug the jukebox. Could also use some more fun dance lights.

I will never come here again. When we arrived there was no one to help us. We went to the bar and asked for help and they told us to ?go get that guy? and pointed towards people who were bowling. Eventually the bartender yelled ?Christian? and a boy who was bowling in a group of friends came up to the counter and told us we could have a hour of bowling, and then when he tried to ring us up he said they couldn't do that anymore. Once we were finally bowling, We had to be switched to 3 different lanes because

This place is great. Plain and simple! Nice staff, nice lanes and great bowling alley food - and incredible prices. Keep it up. We'll be back more often than you think.

Even though I didn't bowl particularly good the two lanes we used "bowled" well. Easy going atmosphere, plenty of space to spread your elbows and really enjoyed the two hours of open bowl as did everyone else around us if their smiles were a measure.

We enjoy eating, drinking, bowling, mini golf, everything here! We've bowled here for years, and have had multiple parties in the back bar and the banquet room. Nate, Nicole, and staff are always amazing!

Everything is nice presentation. Friendly fast service. Only complaint is that the mini golf course is pretty easy and lacks any of the normal fun obstacles I've would expect.

Nate was awesome. Great attitude. Placed everyone far enough away so we didn't need a mask. Very covid conscious. Great music playing. Can't wait to go back again

Great people working there, Nate know everyone walking in the door. They had these lane projectors that interact with the bowling ball, first time seeing them. I was there installing their scoring system with our Mn team.

Classic venue with many updates. If it's been a while since you've been bowling, take the time to stop here. Friendly staff, full bar, food and games. A little something for the whole family. Plus miniature golf.

Cool place for the family! Reasonable prices. I'm all about trying to help the bowling alley?s stay around so get your family out there and have some fun!

The miniature golf course is very nice. Fun and not expensive

Had a great time on the course.

Place was full, said we'd be able to get on a lane in 10-30 mins at around 8:30ish and to just chill in the back bar and that they'd come find us when a lane was open. Didn't hear anything and at 9:30 just got up and left, would not come again.

Love the bartenders. Awesome atmosphere with so much to do. The drinks are cheap and the food is great. One of my favorite places to drink amd hangout.

I really love this bowling alley I used to bowl on a league there a long time ago I took my nephew to go bowling I like the Lane's because the computers are up-to-date and are high-tech. Like for instance when I was bowling with my nephew I said it on the computer to where the bumpers go up for him when it says time to bowl and they go back down for when I go bowling and they do it automatically I like how they have a variety of games we did play some crane machine games but we didn't win anything but we st

Half the lanes were broken

Awesome time! Very great place to go for the family! Good food and good times for the food. Excellent customer service! Will definitely be going back.

Bowling was fun and the food was good. I only wish the staff were a bit more enthusiastic about their job. The smug faces and unhappy people kind of burned.

First time going and definitely had fun, the music was all 90 hip hop pop hits and I was groovin!

First time here. The bartender had a great personality and service was great. For a bowling alley bar it was a nice atmosphere

Very nice. Clean and well maintained. Good bartender. Friendly atmosphere. Adequate lunch served.

Good bowling alley with a large bar and lots of bar games.

Had a good time bowling with the kids. Staff took care of us well. Alot of new and great features for bowling plus an arcade for the kids.

Says it's open. Showed up to play mini golf and no one is there. Hours even say it's open. Sad day

Had my sons birthday party here. All the kids had a lot of fun! Pizza, bowling and mini golf! Highly recommend

Great Mini golf course hidden in the back!

Had a birthday party for my daughter and waited for two hour to bowl and some of my daughter friends left so she got upset ?? and she said that she wanted to leave and never come back they did not have any thing in order and it was a big mess and yet they did not even offer a discount for the inconveniences I had to go through to have her party there and yet it came highly recommend but won't be going there again ??

Great food, atmosphere and reasonably priced. A great location to bring the family for a fun bowling experience!

Awesome Bowling venue for Parties, get together and fun. Excellent Pizza, food and beer selection!!!

I don't bowl often, but the lanes and the facility was quite comfortable. No kitchen was a bummer

Love it here bowling awesome Nate is a great owner and can't wait to try the mini golf course out this spring

Not the widest beer selection, but the staff was friendly and the food was really good.

Been going here for many years. The lanes are well kept. Enjoy playing the mini golf with my family.

We were there for a birthday party. The services were well planned out and employees were more than helpful.

Good place to either bowl or just shoot some pool, from what I've experienced the staff are pretty nice

Great employees. We had a large family group and 4 lanes bowling and everyone had a great time.

A very affordable and fun option for mini golf. The course was hard, but not too challenging.

The staff is super nice and the pizza is amazing. I highly recommend this place.

They almost doubled their price for bowling but we still had too many issues with the lanes. I dont know if I'll be back.

Only mini golf for miles around. Creative, challenging course. No shade, so it can be uncomfortably hot.

Heads up if they are slow the worker who was there tonight will kick you out after 2 games because shes ready to go home felt very rushed and unwanted if your open until 12 for bowling you should be open till 12 not rushed out very bummed to see how the place is now no music rushed along felt unwanted

Burgers are pricey for the guality and a glass of Pop two $ ifeelis a Little bit much probably won't stop again soon

Most enjoyable bowling alley around. Feels like family and always a great time with great people

It's the bowling alley and mini golf. Great place for an outing. They have drinks and food to eat.

Play bongo there. Good food and great pizza. Reasonable prices.

My sons do league bowling here and they are very hands on with helpng them. The food is good as well

Nice little bowling alley, good for birthday parties, a little bit run down and older

Always wonderful food and service. Keep up the great work

I got charged twice with my debit card same amount and I don't drink so it wasn't that lol

Always nice and clean. Friendly staff and yummy food.

Great place to hangout and play some games. Fun for the whole family.

Very family-friendly and economical way to spend time during winter months.

Has a nice bar with more games and an arcade room cosmic bowling is a nice addition

We had a nice time mini golfing for my son's birthday.

Great updated scoring system that made for a fun time. Lane conditions great!!

Good place to get together with friends and the pizza is fantastic!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
