The taco pizza was really yummy. Nice hand tossed crust. Poppers were good too. Service was 4 outa 5. Asked for water 3 times. Never got the water. The other server in the bar with the colored hair helped us more than our own. She was great!
Husband and I used to go there when we were young and dating. Today we went again on our 11th marriage anniversary. Still a great place! Service is great! Vibes are awesome! Owner does a great job! Thanks for making our night memorable.
I came to visit family and they suggested this spot. Food is on point, like pizza was great, chicken strips tasted like they were hand battered. I'm very impressed. Arcade was popping and had good games. The lanes are new and very well maintained. Highly recommend
I love this bowling alley. It's well taken care of and has a good atmosphere. It's just so busy because it's so popular. The arcade is a lot of fun, but we found some of the machines are out of order without any note, which was a little disappointing but it happens. The food is good and the service is wonderful.
It's a fun place, especially after 9pm. The pizza, although a good idea is lacking. Ours had so little sauce on it that I would have sent it back if we hadn't been so hungry. So we had cheesy bread. Bowling is blast. Although seating can get tight as 2 lanes share a bench. Great beers on tap. Really fun and good music.
Super friendly staff! Always a great time. and I love that they keep a couple lanes open for families when the leagues are playing!
They don't make birthday cake but they won't let you bring a cake for birthdays ?. Definitely going somewhere else forever more . We've been regulars for years .
We recently had our employee appreciation party at River City Lanes. They catered to our every need, waited on us all night and did so with a smile. Super friendly crew, shout out to Cherie and Ely. They made our night so easy for us, we just came in, and had fun and they took care of the rest. Thank you, you guys are the best. (Restoration 1). See you next year!
Had my son's 8th birthday here and it was great! Staff was super nice and it was a perfect day! Pizza was really good. Having the bar right there was super convenient as well!
We were in the middle of a bowling game and my son was playing the best game of his life. When all of a sudden the screen went blank and said our game was over. There was no warning whatsoever, or at least one that we could see. Plus it was so expensive for everything in there! With all the money they're making, they should have top of the line equipment and, at least, decent technology.
My husband and I took the kids to Rivercity Bowling and we were so happy with the experience! It was clean and well maintained, everyone was so nice and we got to enjoy lunch at the grill there, which turned out to be really good food and the customer service was perfect! It was a wonderful day, I would absolutely recommend it! Definitely a 5 star experience ??
Love the bowling but think the website should disclose the $10.00 fee to reserve a lane. I was also charged 5.25 per pair for rental shoes online, when at the counter they were 4 something. So an extra $16+ just to be able to have a reservation.
Went for my sons birthday, had a great time. Love when they put the laser light show on. A worker there would come around and asked if we needed anything food wise. Great employees
Great Family Friendly Bowling Alley. Definitely has the old school Idaho feel still with modern perks.
Great staff who are always super friendly! Love to go every Wednesday for their black light bowling. It's always a blast! Highly recommend ????
Great family friendly bowling alley. They have an arcade, lounge, and good selection of food. Fun for everyone. The only issues we had, when bowling, was when our ball got sick a few times back in the pins. We just had to wait for help, but if they are busy, it isn't quick. We went during the holidays and the place was packed.
Nice bowling alley with his pizza. The arcade, however leaves a lot to be desired. The games at money and didn't properly count points. If you're hosting to bowl, it's great. If you're gong for pizza, it's great. Just...skip the arcade.
Great bowling alley. Clean. Not too busy. Friendly staff. GREAT PIZZA! The food and atmosphere was all good. Took my son here after school to have some fun and it didn't disappoint. He bowls better than me! Only because he had bumpers but still. Definitely a great place and we will be going back again.
I have been here many times and have always had a great experience. They have batting cages, lanes, arcade, restaurant and a bar. Their prices are reasonable and food is good. I'll be back for sure!!!
They're wonderful, the bartenders are so nice and the lanes are awesome ?? Blacklight bowling ?? on Saturdays is super cool!
Prices were decent but I don't like how it felt like we were all packed in there together without enough seating to be separate From other bowlers and they only had one high chair in the entire place including the restaurant/bar
Paid $65 for one hour for the only lane available. Knew we had young kids but neglected to tell me the bumpers were broken on one side. My kids cried the whole time because they kept getting gutter balls. They refused to refund me for their games or shoes, would do nothing. The owner or I was told she was the owner was a complete B to us. Wasted so much time dealing with it we didn't even get to complete one game. Waste of time and energy and won't be back.
Insanely expensive. To rent one lane for an hour plus show rentals came out to $70. There was no option to skip the tip, so we had to tip 15% minimum. For what? They didn't do anything except take my payment. There shouldn't even have been a tip option let alone no choice to bypass it. The older lady at the counter seemed to have an attitude and was impatient. We waited an hour to bowl due to them being busy, that's fine. But after having to wait, they didn't have our shoe sizes, the lane kept messing up an
We bowl here often. Today we did our son?s birthday party and it was a great success. The service was amazing. Great success. Price was also great for the party. Kids had a blast.
Bowling, food, drinks and arcade games abound! Great atmosphere. Family friendly and stupendous staff!
The atmosphere was good. We! Had fun. HOWEVER I will NEVER give them my credit card again! I was charged twice for the same reservation and twice for the bar tab! They couldn't fix it w/ me standing there! I have to go through my bank to try and fix this! So far out over $150.! Great a 2 hour night cost OVER $300.!
Absolutely love this place. Great owners and employees. Amazing family atmosphere
From the batting cages to bowling and birthday parties for the kids this place is great!!!
Nice bowling alley with surprisingly good food. The pizza is always a solid bet
This is a WONDERFUL, family friendly place! We used to go to Sunset Lanes in Coeur d'Alene, as it's fairly high profile with advertised specials. It's a nice place, but always busy and often difficult to get a lane, especially on "discount days." So we found River City Lanes when looking for another option.... and only about 10 minutes away in Post Falls! Their prices are a TAD bit higher than Coeur d'Alene, but not by much. And definitely reasonable. Other pluses: * Employees are friendly and helpful
So, here's what happened: I ordered a pizza, and when it finally came out, it was burnt. I mean, not even close to edible. They did make another one, which is nice, but that's a bit of a hassle when you're just trying to relax and enjoy your food. Then, I went bowling, which was supposed to be fun, but they charge by the hour. You'd think if the lane shuts down in the middle of a game, they'd give you credit for the repair time, right? Nope! I was in the middle of the game, totally focused, and then it just
So amazing, great good, nice people & tasty drinks ??
What a blast! Arcade, bowling, fun for everyone; great drinks, excellent food. Overall what a great choice, everyone was stoked
Fun atmosphere nice lanes and great pizza, and the staff members are nice too
Batting cages suck!! The balls are either too low or too high. Don't waste your money or time
Went in to bowl and got told that the weekend rate is $35 an hour. Not sure why their website says $6 a game Friday through Sunday? No where does it state an hourly rate. I've never had to pay the hourly rate on a Saturday before!
Went to eat at the restaurant. It was a league night so service was slower. Clean seating area. Friendly wait staff. Food was just ok. Prices were not affordable. A family of four was over 70$ bucks with an appetizer of nachos (highlight of the meal but with a up charge to add a small about of meat) probably won't be back based on affordability. If I'm going to spend 85+ bucks with tip I'm going to go somewhere with better food. Also the waitress takes your payment at the table with a machine, probably shou
Absolutely best experience with Jennifer, she was very on top of making sure we were ok. Always checking in with us and overall best experience here by far! :)
We attended a birthday party here and the bar area was super loud and we left early. I asked for a skinny margarita and was given a double, which I didn't ask for and was charged accordingly. Probably would ever return here.
Place isn't the worst, but I don't really have anything to compliment. Food was mediocre as expected, house balls were chipped ALL over, and our lane broke and it took 20 mins to fix. I still beat my inlaws, so ??
I love the bar and restaurant. You get great service and really good food! I highly recommend!
Love this place! Jennifer was our server and she was phenomenal with her service and knowledge of products. Food came out perfect, highly recommend this place!
This whole place is great! The bowling is fun, especially when they have the lights low and everything is glowing. The bar is fantastic, with great drinks and heavy pours! The food is also tasty. The pizza is super cheesy and loaded with toppings. It's definitely a family-friendly place but could be a fun place to hang out with friends and have drinks!
Nice little bowling lanes. Very family friendly over the holidays. We enjoyed our time here and overall atmosphere was fun!!
Fun time bowling with family!! The card machine for games was broken so could not buy tokens oh well.
I have really grappled with myself about this review, but I believe in giving positive credit where credit is due. River City is busy! I am reluctant to tell people how awesome it is. The reason that they are busy is because they take care of their customers, they take care of their lanes, and you can tell that they love bowling and share their love with their customers. Cherie makes everything run smoothly; she is truly the best. She is beautiful, positive and extremely patient. Joey makes sure those lanes
Kids had a lot of fun bowling! We had to wait 2 hours for a lane but there was an arcade to keep up busy.
It was a really good place to go bowling till they went to pay by the hour now the games are rushed bowling etiquette is now lacking because everyone is in a rush and if you have a large group you probably want to split it between multiple lanes so you can complete your game without feeling super rushed
Food is pretty good and the staff are friendly.
Great place! Took the afternoon off at work (I work with a great crew!) and went bowling, beveraging and pizza. Pizza blew my idea of 'Bowling Alley' pizza out of the water! My handicapped son, in his 30s', loves this place. Great and plentiful ramps. I highly recommend this for any family or group fun outing!
Great environment had a great time food taco pizza was delicious but the pin dropper kept messing up. And the short little goth lookin bartender girl was putting of a bit ovlf a nasty vibe.
I went to the restaurant part. I heard the pizza & other food items were good. I went with my family & co-workers. We were all amazed at how true this was. Idaho Bacon Ranch & the Hawaiian pizza were both very good. It has an open bar & the staff are attentive. Prices ran a little higher, (25$ for a 16 pizza) but I left very satisfied.
Came to bowl with the family and was pleasantly surprised (Too many sour experiences to count over at Sunset)! The woman at the counter was so sweet and I love that they have the automatic bumpers. Great experience, we will be back for sure!!
Went there for lunch and had an awesome time, the server was too funny and made it even more fun. Food was awesome.
I enjoy this place a lot. My family comes here frequently. Tuesdays they have trivia night from 7-830ish and their food is actually really good.. if you're lucky enough to catch their st Patty's pizza, you will be pleasantly surprised..
We visit here frequently. The kids love the arcade! Prices are decent and competitive with other local bowling alleys. Only wish they had more pinball machines.
The best pizza in Post Falls. Good lanes and great pizza, plus throw in a couple well made drinks from the bar and it's a hit.
Great food and great atmosphere
Always fun with great food, service and drinks
Honestly, It is my favorite place to go hang. Been frequent for a few years, the staff knows my family and I very well and are always treated great. Every place has its hick-ups, but they always make up for it in some way or another. Highly recommend
Love many things about this place but tonight is all about the Taco Salad!! Revised and improved. I love the change to the tortilla strips and putting it in a bowl that you can mixed up everything!! Kudos to the chef on that change!! Staff here is always awesome and never disappoints!!
Would be nice to have bowling in the name somewhere. When I search bowling near me it takes se to Spokane as the nearest bowling alley. They also have a nice location where you can get together with family and friends. They have a bar on-site that has a decent seating available. They also have seating for people who do not wish to sit at the bar. We got a pizza that was good.
Killer food great employees and an all around great place to bowl with friends and family. I highly recommend giving this place a try
I LOVE river city lanes!! They have the best staff and are always welcoming!! Katie is my favorite bartender! She makes my drinks perfect every time! 10/10 recommend! Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!
I've been coming here for years and the good service, friendliness hasn't changed. The food is excellent!
Good food and cold drinks in a family friendly atmosphere.
Birthday party experience wasn't what it should have been, I paid for the Brooklyn party & we didn't have any "lights flashing & music thumping" as the package states it will include. The lady I'd been emailing with seemed short & irritable, like annoyed that I was making a reservation. We didn't receive a bowling pin with my child's name like they said they would & have done in the past. We were also put DIRECTLY next to another birthday party so you couldn't even tell the two parties apart & people kept g
Good cheap beer. Great service. Great pizza with homemade dough!!!
Lets bowl let's bowl let's rock n roll!
River City Lanes is exactly the type of bowling alley you'd want in your hometown. Kids had a blast with the fun atmosphere and arcade, the music was appropriate for all. Great service and the food was just right.
River city lanes claims to have the best pizza in town...... I can't think of anywhere better. I don't bowl much so I can't say for sure how good the lanes are. I can however tell you the bartenders are knowledgeable, quick, and most importantly for me likeable. The food here is very good.
Only knocking off one star for the dated software and carpet. However, I like the feel of this older wood warm alley. Only 16 lanes, but it keeps the feel cozy. Mid day Friday the lanes were a little bit dry. I imagine they oil the lanes right before league play. Overall would go back.
Fun family activity. Love the staff. Great place to get a bite to eat as well.
We had a great time. The games go quickly since everything works perfectly. Both the bar and lane staff were very efficient and nice, especially Sherry. If you are in the area it's a great time. Will definitely be back on our next trip.
Our server was amazing! She definitely went above and beyond for us! Food was delicious and reasonably priced! Good atmosphere!
Bowling was as expected came in with a group of 6 and after 2 pitchers trying to order the 3rd the bartender just wanted to close our tab bowling was good customer service was bad
Great atmosphere, the food is a little expensive but overall a great family friendly place, our kids loved it here...
Zoe, Katie, and Jamie were fantastic. The food was excellent and drinks were on point. All three were very attentive and prompt all making sure we were good. I would 100% recommend this place.
River City lanes is so much more than a bowling alley. They have an arcade, restaurant, and bar. The food and service are unexpected for a bowling alley. The pizza was the star of what I ordered. However, the menu offers quite a bit, especially for a bowling alley. Rhe salads are wings were tasty as well. The lanes are reserved quickly, so it's best to plan on hanging out a bit while you wait. And while you're waiting, why not grab a pizza!
Awesome place for friends and family! Birthdays, parties, just a fun night and more. They have good drinks with a full service bar and good eats too. Pizza, nachos, all American food that has good quality taste and not just frozen. Definitely recommend this place for a date, weekend out, or just inside unwind
We made reservations for 2 lanes/10 people at 2PM on a Saturday. It was busy, but we didn't mind that. They have an arcade & you can preload money onto cards, but the games are limited & kind of pricey. We ordered pizzas & fries. The food was mid. Service was quick, however they double charged me at the bar & have yet to resolve the issue. We had fun regardless.
Great. Black light for the weekend nights night. Delicious food, pizza, fried foods. Good stuff.
Great atmosphere and quite a bit to do if bowling isn't your thing. Some nights, they have karaoke and other nights. It's fun to watch the bowling leagues compete with each other. The food is always good, and the staff is great
Good pizza, full bar and arcade
My family and I had a great time. We reserved 2 lanes for 2 hours and got there about 30 minutes early. The lady behind the counter said we could check in early but we decided to wait and eat lunch first. We ordered our food and the gentleman behind the bar was super nice. While we were waiting for our pizza it was time for us to bowl, so we moved tables and it wasn't an issue. Over all good food and fun time bowling. Highly recommend for families. (We did not go to the arcade, just because we only w
Zoey, Jamie and Katie were phenomenal! Created some new drinks and were so attentive. It was one of the best nights we have had here in a long time!
In Post Falls for a baseball tournament and needed a place to go for dinner and some fun for the kids, found River City Lanes and had a blast! Great atmosphere! The food was awesome! Bowling, batting cages and arcade! Great value! I was able to speak to the owner who was out working on the cages and his attention to his customers was very apparent, adjusting pitching machines to fit the needs of the customers! Thank you! We will be back!
This is one of my favorite places to hang out! The staff is amazing and I am so excited that Jamie is back!! The food is so delicious. I always recommend this place to everyone!!!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
