RezBlue Virtual Reality Des Moines

Went with a group of friends, we all have never been to a place like this before. The staff was very helpful on picking a VR experience that would be great for everyone involved. Would recommend if you are bringing kids (9&11yrs old) to do the multiplayer experience. So much fun with a little ones. But we are definitely going back for adults only fun time! Really didn't want to do "Walking Dead" with little kids. But overall, great experience.

This place is super fun! The experience is genuinely a good time for kids & adults alike. We d 4 adults & 3 kids (ages 65 - 7) and everyone, every single person had a blast. The *only* issue we had was locating the place. It's hard to find & not great signage. If you have a hard time finding it - the best I can describe is that it's behind Noah's ark - go behind the parking lot for the restaurant.

Pretty awesome place. My nephew and I had a great time doing the team co-op games. Nice wide open area to enjoy the experience.

My bestie and I had to change plans on our day off together, due to rain. She found this great hidden gem. We had an absolute blast at RezBlue! We did a VR Escape room and it was so fun. We were jumping and crawling around and only slightly bumped into each other once. For our first time we did really good, with 6 minutes and 33 seconds left to spare! What a fun, unique, and engaging activity for two grandparents, four parents, and five grandchildren! RezBlue is very accommodating to assure that you have a memorable time together! We will all talk about this for another year -- just like we did after our first opportunity at RezBlue about 1.5 years ago!

Quiet. Like a gaming library with a cool vibe. I'm hoping networking could be better but it's worth the money for sure. I don't have a PC so I'm interested and happy to have found a place so close to home

We had a group of 14 9-year old boys for a party. The staff did an amazing job. They were so patient and helpful with our crew. The kids had a blast!!

A lot of fun! There are a ton of games to choose from and everyone had a blast. They have some snacks and pop for sale, but you can bring your own food and drinks. Wear socks. And deodorant.

Definitely an awsome place to go as a couple or with a group of friends. Been there multiple times love it everytime they will definitely take the time to explain and ask if everything works and is okay would recommend this place to everyone one of the main reasons I come to des moine.

This was my second visit. Both were team-building events from work. This is a great place for a team to work together and have fun. We did an escape room and then some other games. The whole team had a great time.

Awesome time! Great atmosphere and help. We played VR laser tag because our group of 10 had a lot of non-gamers, but all had a blast for a reasonable price. Great addition to the area entertainment scene!

It was my first time playing a proper VR Game. I loved it! I did try a mobile version a few years back but it was of poor quality. The games here are beautifully made and literally takes you out of reality and into the game. Me and my siblings had fun playing together. We played a zombie game and a cooking game. It was pretty straightforward to pick up and learn the controls. Staff is very informative, polite and patient with us newbies. We will definitely come again! Also, it's worth your money ??

I decided to try this place out with my kid's and their friend. I scheduled it in the morning for an afternoon time slot. We played a zombie shooting games and a cooking game. It was an absolute blast! The kids and I both extremely enjoyed it! Not difficult to learn and they do a good job guiding you through it. Great place and a great time!

Me and my partner came and we played the pirate themed escape room. The staff was very friendly and patient with explaining how to use the VR headsets and troubleshooting in the middle of the game. I did not know what to expect and was impressed by how fun the escape room game was. The one we picked involved a lot of action/fighting. Overall a great experience!

I had an awesome date night with my husband and enjoyed every bit of it! It was my first-time trying VR and it was amazing! Also, a big shout out to the RezBlue crew, they were very patient and kind to us (who were behaving like 2 very inquisitive and impatient adult kids!) Haha!

We had another great afternoon at Rex Blue! Death Squad was exciting and challenge. My grandsons and I teamed together to ward off the Zombies. The Zombies were non stop. However, we were fast and accurate. We defeated the Zombies. Cops and robbers was another fun game. The robbers were well armed and crafty. We teamed again to prevent the robbers from stealing the bank and taking over the town. Thanks for another great experience!

This Virtual Reality gaming place is awesome and VR itself is amazing. I had never experienced anything like this before. I will have to tell all of my friends to come and try this. We played the laser tag game also. It's even more fun while you're able to see the others as virtual avatars. It's really an eye opening to see how far the technology has come.

My husband planned a date at RezBlue while we were staying in Des Moines. We had SO much fun! We played the space escape room and even got a bonus game when we had over 10 minutes left to escape. We'll definitely be back. It looked kid friendly, too.

Went with boys aged 7, 10, and 12. The worker took a great deal of time (and had extreme levels of patience) to help them all learn and play using VR headsets. He was great. Remember socks and guardian waivers before you go!

We are a group of 18 working for the same company. This is our once a year outing and we used RezBlue as a team building activity. From the reservation to the introduction, and all the way to playing the games, we received excellent instructions from the host. Being new to this, we were a bit nervous, but the host was able to guide us through and provide all the supports throughout the game, from learning the VR equipment to solving the problems. This was such a cool place to visit. There is nothing like it in Des Moines. So many VR headsets to play alone or with someone. Also, the virtual laser tag for any age was awesome. Will come back and bring more people!

Attended a birthday party today at the RezBlue Arena inside Southridge Center (the former Southridge Mall). If you are looking for something different and fun for your 5th grade and through high school kid, look no further! They will love this for birthday or just hanging out doing something new. We had a great time doing a VR escape room. It was very easy, even for those of us (most of us) with little to no VR or video games experience. We escaped with 1:28 left on the clock! Great experience. Make sure you bring socks or you'll have to buy a pair!

Great fun and experience! My 8 year old was invited to a birthday party here and he had a blast. The person who helped them was great. He explained the process and helped out when needed. Very patient and kind. This is also a great place for all ages. They have virtual escape rooms as well. I see more visits in oir future Finding the place is a bit tricky, just let google maps guide you there.

We had our yearly team activity here and everyone had so much fun! Staff was very nice and thorough at explaining each game and instructions! I definitely recommend booking if you are looking for a fun and challenging activity as a group! We look forward to coming back.

I've taken my daughter here and her friend a couple times now. Always a fun time. If you've never played VR games, make sure you don't get motion sickness easily as that was something I wish I had known. The game will make your brain think you are moving and it can be a little disorientating and make you queasy. Overall, an absolute blast, just wish it was a little cheaper.

First time at RezBkue VR Arena. I didn't know what to expect and after leaving am excited to go back. The experience was very fun and the equipment top notch, imo. We had so much fun during our first VR escape room we decided to stay for a second. My husband and I have done many traditional escape rooms and enjoyed the VR version at RezBlue a lot! Staff was also very friendly and helpful throughout our time. Will definitely be going back in the future!

My husband, son and I did the Manor of Escape virtual reality escape room and we loved it. It was an a great experience and quite challenging. It was more fun than ?live? escape rooms we'd done in the past. We will definitely do it again and try a new room! The manager was great and very helpful.

Me and 3 grands stumbled across the arena on our adventure to the "abandoned" mall. We were pleasantly surprised. The guys were super nice and answered all my questions, (newbie here) told us about their business and how it worked. We went about our way and then ultimately went back and enjoyed learning how to use/play the equipment. The kids had a blast!! I've hosted and attended multiple birthday parties there. The staff is present and monitoring the entire game, and is quick to jump in when a player needs some advise or extra direction. We will definitely be back!

Excellent experience!!! ?? My soon to be 10 year old son did an escape room with 2 friends to celebrate his birthday! ?? All three boys loved it and had a blast!!! ?? We're also set to be back this coming Saturday with 3 other friends doing a different escape room! This was truly a 5 star experience for my group and I! As a group we've done a bunch of escape rooms but never a vr escape room and let me tell you it was awesome! We finished our escape room with 17 minutes left and they had an extra victory game for us to enjoy with our spare time! The entire experience was really cool and the staff were very nice, couldn't reccomend this place more! The only bad thing was trying to find the place which is not the easiest task but I like to think of it as the first puzzle

First time visiting. I think this is a fantastic place to bring the family for some fun. The environment is spacious and there are a few games to choose from. As it continues to expand, I think this can be the ?it? place to go on a weekend or when you just want to relax and enjoy time with friends and family.

Our family has done escape rooms before, but this was our first virtual reality escape room. It was a fun new experience and we will do it again. The VR experience was very realistic, we had hands so could pick things up and move things around. We felt the experience was more like being in a video game vs a standard escape room. Our clues and code challenges weren't as good as a standard escape room. The video game aspect was fun and will be a great alternative activity for us.

Awesome place will be going back. The price is well worth it. My family and I had a blast. The staff made sure we knew all of the controls before starting. They was very helpful about which games would be best for beginners but still let us pick the game and gave pointer to make the play even better.

I took my three grandsons to RezBlue. They had never been to a virtual reality venue. The staff was exceptional. We were greeted right away and they got us set up with a free demo. They helped the boys every step of the way, even anticipating when they were having a difficult time with the games. They helped them maneuver through any problems, making sure they thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We will definitely be returning for more fun. A great time was had by all.

I 100% recommend this place. I can't wait to go back! They're still growing and I think they'll get to a 5 star level soon. The VR experience was absolutely awesome! It was so cool not only the games , but the staff had so much patience to walk through multiple steps , gave advice that made our one hour so much fun . Next time we go we are planning on an escape room game with the magic spells ! Playing coop with your friends and family , just so fun . Very clean and very helpful staff !

My husband and I went here for our date and we really enjoyed our experience! They have a great game selection for older kids and adults. We played a few multi-player and single player games. They run you through a tutorial (doesn't count against your time) which really helps you get familiar with controls. The employees were very helpful with gaming and control tips. I'm especially thankful for all their help being new to virtual reality and the games I'm general.

What a fun experience! The kids had a great time, and the owner was very knowledgeable, professional, and kind. We decided to back the next day and experience another VR Escape room...and I joined in with the kids! Next time we'll try the VR Laser Tag. The only comment I have is that it is not initially easy to find, as it is on the backside of an office building and not marked well (signage). Once we found it, fun times!

My family was in town for a day and looking for fun activities for my 11 and 10 year old kids. We came here on the spur of the moment and while they normally work off of scheduled registrations, there were openings and the staff member was extremely accommodating, helping first with directions over the phone and was very helpful during our session and patient with our family. Had a great time with my friends. This place is awesome. There are so many Escape Room Games, and Laser Tag with Zombies and Goblins. Also, the VR arcade is amazing with so many game options. We will definitely come back and plan on having some sort of party there soon.

So my wife and I decided to take the kids and try out this virtual reality arcade. When we arrived at their location, it was a well-kept place and environment. The inside was spotless. The gentleman that was working there at the time was absolutely hands-down, phenomenally, the best individual that my family has came across that has treated us the way he did in their establishment in a highly positive manner and our 10 year old severely autistic son was along with us and the gentleman that was working there

My son loved it here. I paid online for a hour but he forgoed the trampoline park to spend a additional hour here. The guys were very helpful even suggesting and showing him how to play some games. They have refreshments and a very clean and comfortable seating areas. I'm gonna try the Lazer Tag and escape room when we come back next weekend. It was worth my two hour drive

This is the second time we've been to Rez Blue. Once for our 14-year-old's birthday party and once for our 13-year-old's birthday party and both times were great! Took a group of nine year olds for a birthday party over the weekend. One father and I participated as well. As a first time VR user, I was pretty impressed. It's not mind blowing, but definitely pretty cool. The staff was especially great. Would recommend.

Place was amazing so much fun for my 2 daughters ages 7 and 9 and my gf and I the guy running the place was super nice and helpful my youngest daughter decided to stop early and he gave us a discount and made sure she was comfortable enough to wait patiently until we were done we will definitely go back again

My grandson and I went to try RezBlue and fell in love. We have gone back several times to do other VR experiences. I'm 63 and totally enjoyed myself. Everything we have played has been a blast. Very fun. It took a while to go thru the process of filing out waiver information, followed by orientation for the VR itself altho we were given clear instructions & that made it more enjoyable. There are a lot of gaming options and it may become overwhelming, but help was never far away. The family had a good time & I actually felt worn-out a bit with the active games we played. I plan on being back again for some more play time!

My 11-year-old and his friends had a great time at his birthday party. The two-hours included a party room where you could bring your own food/drinks and 1.5 hours of play. An hour was spent on the VR video games and then another 30 minutes on the VR laser tag. They had a blast!

Walked in with my brothers,4 of us total, looking for something fun to do. The kid running the place today told us he has a party coming in and "you should go and maybe come back later."

The variety of games offered are super fun. The staff is really friendly. My group was given a lot of hints/help and extra time to complete the levels for the escape rooms. The experience was enjoyable!

My family was excited about going here. I was concerned that I would have to stop playing because I get motion sickness very easily. We did the time travel VR escape room with our kids and their partners and it was INCREDIBLE. It was challenging and clever and so immersive that I tried to lean on a time machine console and nearly fell on my butt. The VR is fantastic. You can see the avatars of the people you're with, and control your hands to grasp things and manipulate your environment. The people working there were helpful and fun. We decided to try this out last minute and we were glad that we did. It was just two of us, and we had a great time. The staff member who was took care of us did a great job. We hadn't hear of this place so weren't sure about booking our son?s 15th birthday party there. So glad we did though!!! The space is clean and the staff were really helpful. The teens were thrilled to be experiencing VR and loved the catalogue of games available to them. They preferred the laser tag over the individual games. Strongly recommend.

Had an amazing time with a last second idea for my friends birthday. The worker did great explaining stuff and walking us through everything, it was truly a great experience. Very cool place and setup never used the headset they had and the employee was very helpful and easy to understand when he told me how to use it. I will definitely be bringing some friends next time and reserving a time as the employee suggested to make sure it will be available for all of us. Overall a great experience and a nice way to enjoy VR without having to buy the whole setup.

RezBlue was FANTASTIC! They were so accommodating for our birthday party. They were very attentive and made sure that all participants were comfortable, having a great time, and assisted with any tech needs. They allowed us to bring in our own decorations and food. The placed looked a little sketchy when we pulled up and walked in... but the girls had a blast once they got started. We went with 12 girls and they talked about it all day afterwards. Very nice crew working there. Remember to wear socks!
