This place is great! It was $15 for unlimited play and you're allowed to leave and come back that day. They had a lot to choose from. Two pinball machines, some racing games, qbert, donkey Kong, old Mario game, ms Pac-Man, plenty more.
Great arcade to go to if you want to blow off some steam. Amazing staff that make you feel welcome and are very helpful if you have any questions. Lots of variety in the game store section and almost all of the arcade games are completely replayable so you will definitely get your money's worth. I plan on coming back as long as it's here, 10/10.
So worth a visit!! Staff are beyond cool and friendly. Arcade is a fun time (not the biggest selection compared to big swipe-to-play places but definitely more fun bc it's not crazy expensive).
been here a few times and it's been great every time. i always end up staying until closing without even realizing. Huge variety of games, there's a game for every person. $15 and you get access to the arcade for the whole day, which is a really good deal. worth the 20-25 minute drive every time.
Loved getting a chance to stop by here! I miss playing the rhythm Japanese games when visiting Japan. I'm excited to know there's a place closer that has them. Staff members are very nice, and it was cool to take a look at all the retro games and consoles there too!
Really fun time! You pay for the whole day of free play game time, and they have everything from house of the dead and pinball to Japanese rhythm games. Staff is friendly and good with kids.
My kids didn't want to leave! But unlike most other places, I didn't want to leave either! We had a blast. We will definitely be bringing friends and family here.
Part of it is a retro video game store with lots of console options, going back to Atari. Some interesting finds here for sure, if you are a collector or enjoy retro gaming. The arcade section is $15 for the entire day of unlimited play. You can also come and go as you please. There are a lot of good options there including Street Fighter 4, Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 7 for those fighting game fans. There are also some interactive games like Dance Dance Revolution and shooting games (House of the Dead) wh
If you like rhythm games, you'll have a great time here. The $15 all-day pass is a great deal, and the game store part of the arcade is really nice too! Unfortunately, the arcade is limited by the size of the building, but there's still a wide variety of games to play.
A very small arcade with $15 unlimited all day play. Half the games are in Japanese, and there's no guidance on how to navigate them, so lots of random button mashing. Only 1 machine wasn't working (pacman) but also the left drum of the taiko no tatsujin game is wonky. Was able to try most of the games before it got crowded and we were there for about 2 hrs. Neat place if you're into rhythm games!
Located on a busy street in Lansdale, PA. If you were just driving by, you would never know it's here. There is a parking lot in the back which requires paid tickets, which are to be displayed on your dashboard, or there is paid street parking in front of the store. Considering the deal is to play all day, you also have to take into consideration that you also have to pay for hourly parking. This is Lansdale, not Center City, so I was extremely surprised to discover that payment was required for parking
I came with my son when it opened one morning. We spent probably an hour and a half there. At least. They were older games that my 7-year-old wasn't super familiar with. But we had a lot of fun regardless!
The place looks great from the outside. The arcade isn't huge which is fine, as it is like the little arcades of the past. Does it have every game? No, but it has some good ones. I hope it rotates the games every 6 months or year. I loved seeing the avgn game as well as new games mixed with old is a great combo. I hope to see this place and game junkie evolve as the time goes. Maybe we can bring our beers in one day lol. Either way a fun time.
What a breath of fresh air, innovative and cool, located in the heart of Lansdale borough. Looking for a healthy dose of nostalgia look no further come here and relive your childhood with plenty of mercy from the 90s and get you fill of retro arcade games.
Stopped by for the soft opening and had amazing time. Games are well priced and in good condition. Very friendly employees. Can't beat unlimited play for 15$ I also really like the aesthetic, has a really nice feel to it!
Few games out of order and knowing Japanese is a thing as a lot of the games from there. Disappointed as kids lose interest - tried it but not a fan. High price point but get to play all day. Maybe good in summer to try them and go down the street for pizza and then go back to kill some time.
Great arcade! Very cheap prices and have a lot of variety of games, both to play and to buy
The atmosphere was very welcoming and nice. The cashiers were super friendly and helpful. The arcade was really nice layout and the games were very quick and easy to play even some being in japanese had no trouble playing them. The gundam game was definatly my favorite there other then the taiko drums.
Amazing! I was able to check out Retroware Arcade the other day and I was blown away. They have a great blend of 80s classics, 90s nostalgia and modern day Japanese games. As a big fan of fighting and Japanese candy cabs I was surprised to see them in a arcade on the east coast. If you live in the area and call yourself a gamer you owe it yourself to experience this for yourself! ????
Don't bother. Stopped in with some old buddies, we all actually met at an arcade my friend worked at in high school. Figured we stop in and play some old games but the genius who owns this place has them set to the highest level possible so you couldn't actually enjoy playing the game. Really disappointing. Save your money for those who want repeat business. . Edit: The games that we played were absolutely not set at the factory setting. Like I said I had a friend that worked at the arcade and we would mess
Been going to Classic Game Junkie for well over a decade now, and it's really exciting to finally see them open up this new location! The staff are kind, helpful, and are absolute experts in the world of video games.
A shame some of the games were not working and can be expensive. Especially if you have younger children but don't enjoy video games yourself. Could have been a little clearer.
Today was my first day here. Both of my kids had a blast and so did I. $15 for a wristband is a great value and the selections of games is excellent. Staff is super friendly. The wristband lasts all day so you can game for a few hours, grab a bite to eat at the dozens of restaurants within walking distance, then come back and game again. You can't beat that. 10/10 would recommend. Can't wait to go back.
Love this place however it is a cramp space when it is busy and lot of games are from Japan/china other then that they have a beautiful selection of retro games
Stopped in at the arcade last night and it is awesome. There's a great selection of games that is nicely balanced between classic and modern. The one-time, all-day access pass is fairly priced and for me, who kinda sucks at arcade games, much preferred over pay per play. I could actually spend time at a game and improve rather than getting stressed over how much money I was spending. The staff were SUPER friendly and clearly love both people and games. The arcade and store are clean, well lit, and overall j
Rented the place out with my family and it was an amazing experience. Staff was attentive and helpful with putting it together. Would highly recommend
Ever since I found this place, it has become my home away from home, both myself and my wife and son. Being able to play games all day if we want for one flat rate is honestly how all arcades that are still standing should be operated from now on. From rhythm games, to old school games, there's a little something for everyone. Fantastic place with wonderful staff, straight up.
Great game store and great arcade for low price! High quality! Great owner! The fool who gave this place a low rating and said that the good reviews must be from family & friends has no clue what he's talking about. I've only known these people and the two stores as a customer. I collect a lot of games and been to a lot of game stores. I have been treated very well here, been very impressed, and it is extremely obvious, from interactions with the owner, that the owner is a very honest person that goes
Love this place. Large amount of arcade games. The games are reasonably priced in the store. Everything is nice and clean and you can get cards for their private network to save your progress
nice customer service, an extra basketball hoop would be brazy
Japanese Rhythm Games !!! The only place I know to go play them. Chnthm is one. There used to be two but I guess one was shipped out to their other location. They have cards that work for keeping your progress in the games AND we took one to Akihabara Tokyo and it worked there too! You could find a better place for pinball easily though. But the rest is good too, the shop is great, lots of gunpla, 2nd hand games, retro, sf6 if you want that.
Brought my 10 year old son here just the other day. Had a great time here. Awesome collection of free play game, which you get access to with a $15 day pass. They knock off $5 if you come in an hour before close a well which is nice. They also have great collection of classic used video game consoles for sale along with accessories and games. We bought ourselves some Wii U games while we were there. They also have a small collection of anime figurines and models. On top of that they have a nice sized clean
Retroware is unique that it hosts not only its own arcade, with unlimited time to play different game genres and hone your skills but a dedicated section to selling video games from all different eras. It's a great place to check out whether you're looking to buy games, collectibles or just get a few hours in at their arcade room. Great for gamers of all ages!
Wow! What a great selection of games! Had a kids party there and it was a resounding success.
My wife and I were teenagers in the 80's so we mainly played the games from that era in Retroware, which was fun. We played a few of the modern games too. My main gripe is the amount of Asian games they had which didn't include any directions in English so you're just blindly pressing buttons and hoping it does something interesting or correct. I didn't think about it until we got home but maybe we should have loaded Google Translate on our phones and used it while we were there. Not sure how soon we will g
We are here having such a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!! Totally, totally recommend!!!!!! $15 and all games are set to free no cost play. Will 1000% be back
My son?s eyes lit up the moment we walked in. This is the local arcade I dreamt of as a kid. The machine selection?s clearly curated by people with love and passion for games both old and new. You can tell no expense was spared bringing some of the greatest arcade games of all time under one roof. There's something for everyone. We'll definitely be back. This place is something special and I strongly recommend checking it out!
Was able to check out the soft open last night and had a great time! They have an awesome selection of games that fill that nostalgic arcade void. Highly recommend for either a date night, or just casual hangout.
I came here with my husband and son. The arcade selection is great. My husband ran straight to Marvel vs Capcom. We're definitely planning a day date here soon, so I can beat him at Tekken 7 ????
Really cool place for old games with good prices. The employees there are very judgmental though. They made me feel stupid for asking a simple question.
Best mother's day present: playing videogames with my kids ??. Staff was friendly and helpful. Games were so much fun, lots of Japanese rhythm games to choose from
Awesome place!!!! One half of it is Classic Game Junkie that has old/new games and systems for sale and then even do repairs and the other half is an arcade that has old and new arcade cabinets spanning from the 80s to modern day. Deff worth checking out!!!!
Loved it in here! Some of the controls on the older games like Qbert and Mortal Kombat were off but I saw a technician there working on another machine. So it seems whatever issues they have its acknowledged and worked on promptly. Can't wait to come back with me and my friends
Great Gaming shop spanning vintage to current, arcade is really cool, all games in free play for a flat entry. Had a blast beating the Simpsons arcade game for the first time in 25 years.
Way more than I expected, this place surpassed what I expect of a retro game store, and then it also has a pretty decent arcade on the side. Prices were honestly fantastic considering how expensive retro games can get.
the staff is super helpful and friendly and the arcade is AWESOME
really great environment with a lot of games!! owner was friendly and games were kept in good condition
Value is okay, machine selection is good, but volume needs to be higher on a lot of the rhythm games!
Cool Japanese arcade games I haven't seen anywhere else. Price for a full day wristband is fair.
Only place in the area with a private server Chunithm machine and the only reason to be here. You can park at the septa lot nearby for free parking.
Absolutely, insanely, RAD! Great selection of both merch and in the arcade, and the prices cannot be beat!!
As I approached the arcade, a man rode by on a bicycle eating cotton candy. It was pure joy which foreshadowed exactly what I would be feeling while visiting the arcade. Highly recommend.
If you're a fan of video games you gotta check this place out! They have games of all types spanning several decades (as well as modern classics). The old-school 80?s games are my favorites ??????
Retroware has a good assortment of arcade cabs from old games to rhythm games. There is something for almost everyone from old arcade players to those who have never stepped foot in an arcade before.
Nice Game place for kids and children
Nice time. Wish there were more games and pinball machines
Great store has great quality discs when you buy a game and will even repair your discs for a small fee that you bring in
Great to see this in our cool town its great for the kids hopefully it will keep them off the streets and getting in trouble.
I'm sure 90% of the reviews are from friends and family so be careful. You can't be sure what to believe.
Amazing place and fun! Love the games, the look of the building and the vibes!
Good place has a lot of rhythm games
I love this place! What a wonderful place to either reminisce or make new 8-bit memories!
Awesome experience and large selection of games to play
Fun arcade with a great and knowledgable staff
Kids had a great time.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Yes, rhythm games in arcades are a vibrant hit in 2025! Titles like Dance Dance Revolution and Beatmania deliver high-energy fun, blending music, movement, and precision. Modern machines boast vivid displays, booming sound systems, and diverse song libraries, from J-pop to EDM. They challenge reflexes and rhythm, with competitive leaderboards and tournaments fostering a lively community. Arcade dance floors are regularly packed, proving rhythm games’ immersive, physical thrill keeps them a standout in today’s gaming scene.
