Great pass time with the family. Their prices are very affordable. We purchased an hour of free play. There is no need to get tokens, coins, upload cards, etc.. There is a variety of games available. My daughter loved the Super Mario game she was unstoppable. My eldest son was grouchy and didn't want to play, but once he got into the driver seat to race, an hour had flown by. My kids did not want to leave the arcade. Even my husband had to partake into the gaming fun. The moment we walked in their eyes lite
My kids and I drove out from La Quinta to check the place out. Totally cool!! The pricing is super fair and the selection of games is excellent. We burned through two hours in an instant and my young sons said they want to have their birthday here. Will be back! Only critique and reason not five stars, is that a few pins were operating a bit rough and in need of service. Pulp Fiction in particular is one of my favorite it was not performing well. I hope this gets tending to, soon. Great spot!! Will be bac
We had a party with 9 kids and a few adults. Everyone had a super good time, across all ages. The place is clean, awesome artwork on all the walls, and the staff is friendly. Whether you're playing for an hour or doing an event, this is a hidden gem in the inland empire.
This place is super important to me actually. It's turned over the last few years into my after work Cheers bar where everyone knows my name and they're always glad I came. It's an arcade lover's paradise. The games rotate frequently. The staff is friendly and helpful. Everything is well maintained. I have just as much fun coming here alone after work to play pinball for a few hours as I have had bringing my entire family to goof around. We've done birthday parties here too and they are an absolute blast. C
I love this place, I have been here three times and every time it never gets boring for me. The layout changes every time I went so it doesn't feel repetitive. Ive told my entire family about this arcade and even took my cousins out of state about this place and they seemed to like it as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful, I asked them a question on how do they know someone won't be dishonest and keep playing after their hour is up, they run a tight ship behind the scenes. They have good prices
This place is incredible. Well kept, fantastic selection of games, and the kindest staff ever! If you happen to run into the owner, Bob, be sure to say hi - he's simply a wonderful human! While there are a few options for this type of 'pay-by-the-hour' arcades, this location is by far the nicest. It's also a wonderful spot for kids, as you don't fret about spending quarters on games they may not want to play after a few minutes. Additionally, this is a wonderful space to have a party - private or otherwi
Great place to take the family and enjoy some games at your pace. The staff is amazing and all the games are always well maintained. They always have classics there too in case you want to show your kids how we did it back in our day.
Had an absolute blast at Retrovolt Arcade! The pricing is unbeatable?me and my friend got two hours of free play for under $40 on a Friday night. That's a steal for the amount of fun we had. The arcade is packed with an awesome selection of pinball machines, classic arcade games, and even a Guitar Hero setup that took me straight back to the good old days. The atmosphere is a perfect mix of retro and modern, with neon lighting and nostalgic vibes that make it easy to lose track of time. If you're looking
This place is absolutely amazing! It's seriously a hidden gem! We had so much fun! We had a date night from the mountains, and we are now coming here all the time now lol. They had tons of games from when we were kids to way back. The counter up front with the little trinkets and pins is super cool as well. I am OBSESSED with the pinball machines, and I was stoked they had so many! ?? We can't wait to come back down. We had a ton of fun!
This place was a fun time. I was nearby for work and decided to check this place out. It's not very large, but brings back all the old memories of spending time at the arcade. Nice, fun environment. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The pricing is $10/hr, but when I was there, they had a promotion for $15 all day pass. They have a bunch of cool stuff for sale at the front display. Lots of anime/gaming stuff.
It was great! I did have a bit of trouble with one of the male staff once ? I almost brought in a wrapped cookie from next door (yep, still sealed), but since I biked there and had no pockets, I had no choice but to toss it ??. Still, that won't affect my review, because honestly, this place turned my ?meh? week completely around. They've got plenty of multiplayer games ? which is perfect if you're on a date (like I was!). Think: pinball machines galore, shoot-em-ups, rhythm games like Guitar Hero, racing
This place is amazing. It has a great selection of pinball machines and classic arcade games. Everything I played was in great shape and played well. I spoke with the owner, and he told me to let him know if I found any problems with the games- a great sign. A lot of the pinball machines have nice mods. I loved the pinball playfields that decorated the walls to compliment the artwork. Even the bathroom is decorated with arcade control panels and artwork. Great lighting and 80s music as well. My new
Great place for a party, you can take in food and drinks with a party room reservation. The games are great and in perfect working order. Wish they offered 2 hours in the party room plus an additional hour to play without the room. Two hours is rushed to do the party and have time to play. Still 5 stars and highly recommended.
This place is awesome! You pay to get in and all the games are free play. Took my family of 4. $30 for an hour for the 4 of us. Can't beat it. Highly recommend.
Booked my sons 12th party at Retrovolt Arcade. The party room was great! Clean and spacious. The walls are decked out in graphics so you really don't need to bring decorations. There's a private bathroom in the party room as well which was a nice touch. The staff is salt of the earth, very friendly and helpful people. Everyone had a great time. Well be back for sure!
So much fun! It costs $10 an hour per person for free play. Lots of games and nonstop 80?s music. A great mix of pinball machines and arcade games. The customer service was excellent. They also offer a military discount.
I loved this place. One hour is not enough. I went for two hours and want to go back to play again. Love the pinball machines. Machines are all on free pay and you pay by the hour.
Fantastic! We were visiting from out of town but if I lived down here, I'd be here every day! Great selection of games and working pinball machines!!! Had a terrific time!
This place is amazing! I'd say get the day pass cuz 1 hr is not enought to enjoy this place! It's not big by any means but it is so much fun and time goes by so quick! Will definitely be going back! And there is a pizza place next door that's just as good for when you're done here. Definitely worth the drive for us!
Have to say this was an interesting experience. A blast to the past with modern free play. No more quarters around these parts. It's tons of fun if you are interested in pinball machines, retro gaming/some new age with large old style gaming - from tetris, police cop training sim, terminator, rock band, x-men, the Simpsons, teenage mutant ninja turtles, and much more. Definitely worth a trip down memory lane or for those not from this generation a great step back in time before AR and VR and personal home g
Had a wonderful time with my daughters and grand kids. Plenty of arcade games and pay $10.00 hrs. Per person. It was fun.
Awesome place to kill an hour/$10 with no card. All the games are free credit. Press and play. Showed my kid how we did it old school style. Misses 5stars because background music is louder then the games lol. Still pretty fracken spectacle
SO fun!!!!! I will definitely be back! They have plenty of games and so many great ones I grew up playing. Loved it! ??
It was a blast & $15 for the day! ( on Wednesday- Friday ?I think ?? ?) lol my forearm hurt from butting mashing on all you could play oldies like KI, Tekken, MK2, MvsC, and more. Have fun ??
A hidden gem in the small town of Calimesa. It's all ages and alot of vintage games to choose from. You can pay to play for an hour or get a day pass. Thursdays are typically slower nights so you'll have more opportunity to play all the games if you choose to go then. The weekends can get pretty busy. Also Ernie is excellent in customer service and was great with assistance and showing me around.
Oh my gosh, thus place is awesome. My husband and I came here as part of our date night. We purchased an hour to play games. The time flew by.
Retrovolt is totally awesome, I feel like I walked into an arcade from the eighties, made feel like a kid, for an hour at least and it's only ten dollars for free play, that sounds like a contradiction but it's better than needing a whole bunch of quarters right? All that's missing is pizza, wait a minute, there's a pizza place right next door that's just as awesome, definitely coming back to this place
Really nice upkeep on the machines, just about everything runs beautifully. Cozy environment and great staff. Would highly recommend!
This place would get 10 stars if I could give it. We had a amazing date night. Good atmosphere and nostalgic games that really brought back awesome childhood memories. The people who work here are super friendly. For 10$ all the free play for an hour any child's fantasy on all the old games and pinball machines. It's good to see a place like this exist and really should be more of them. All around a great experience a d would recommend it for any age! Thank you retrovolt for a blast from the past!
This was a great place for a father-son day! We tried every pinball machine until our hearts were content...then moved on to the various games. It was awesome to introduce my boy to the old classics. Definitely a fun place and will be back. It's $10/hr with all games on unlimited play. $5/hr for kids under 10yrs old. $25 for an all day pass. One hour was plenty of time for us.
So much fun! Loved it. Staff was really nice and kept the place super clean. I brought my boys 6 years and 10 years and all of us had a blast. They had stools to sit at some of the games. They also had step stools for smaller children. There is a bathroom for customers inside. They sell soda. The highlight for me was bubble bobble and the mystery pinball machine was rad. My 10 year olds favorite of the day was beating house of the dead together. My 6 year old loved all the driving (steering wheel style) gam
Fun and inexpensive way to spend some time playing old school arcade games. From House of the dead 2 to space Invaders and walls of pinball machines this little gem of a place is great. Friendly staff as well. Highly recommend visiting at least once
Wide selection of what seems to be rotating pinball machines. Even more selections of original arcade cabinets! Coming here is a dream! Having been to many arcades in Southern California and on the east coast. Retrovolt is a standard in the gaming world. They have Joist my favorite game! Every machine is well maintained and the staff is awesome! With the pizza shop next door this place makes me feel like I'm 12 years old again. Everything is on free to play. And they sell merch from pins to shirts. If you h
As a kid from the 80's, the classic arcade holds a special place in my heart. My kids have not had a chance for the true arcade experience and thats where Retrovolt comes in! Filled with classic arcade games and a dozen pinball games, the lights and sounds and dimly lit facilities of my childhood lives on in Calimesa. I was happy to have found a way to put an experience to the stories of the "good old days" that I forcefully regale my children with
Went here with my Nephew. We had a blast. Old school pin ball machine, Driving games, basket ball games, so many. They have special days special prices. We paid $15.00 dollars for all day. You can even leave and come back with food. Awesome. People of all ages.
Come On Guys!!!! Retrovolt Is Freaking Radical!! In a time where it is soo easy to play with someone across the planet, Retrovolt Arcade is the Nostalgic shot of Caffiene Gaming we all need. The owner is friendly and enthusiastic about what it means and ment to go to the arcade. The place has some classics and Legendary games that bring back so many Awesome memories. We were here for a Birthday Party (Jacob's) and loved the room they set aside for these event. Don't sell your kids and your 13 year old self
Just got home from our first party hosted at this establishment and it was an outstanding experience! Had our son?s 10th birthday hosted here and EVERYONE had such a great time - kids and parents both! The owner and staff were absolutely fantastic and made the whole experience so easy. We all had the best time and will definitely be back soon.
10/10 Fridays... $15 from 5PM to 11PM play till your heart drops. Fun times. Will be back again.
One of the best hidden gems in the IE area is this arcade. From well preserved arcade games from the 90s to both new and old pinball machines, this place is guaranteed to have at least one game you will enjoy. My dad is a huge gaming nerd (in a good way) and he has introduced and influenced me to enjoy a variety of similar games as him. One of them being pinball (though I won't lie, I've better at digital pinball than the real deal) and this place has some of the best and most entertaining machines availab
I can't say enough good things about this place! Awesome selection of pinball and arcade cabinets, there is something for everyone! The owner and staff are great and go out of their way to ensure the customers are having a great time...even if it means repairing your favorite pinball on the spot, soldering iron and everything, to get you back in the game. Great location in the quite town of Calimesa. Extremely kid friendly and handicap accessible. Surrounded by lots of local dining spots. You have to che
I get it that its an arcade hall, but they could turn down some of the volumn or add sound dampeners otherwise its a cool little arcade hall
Great time. My son loved it. Prices are reasonable. Games are ?? ?? great
This place is absolutely awesome! The price is really affordable, and they have tons and tons of games. If you like pinball this is the place to go. They have a whole row of pinball machines and all of them are unique and different. They also have a good amount of retro video games as well. And a pac-man ?table style? game. Fun place to check out. I will for sure be back in the future. It's a good place to go solo to just kill some time, or with a group of friends!
What an amazing arcade and pinball. It was so much fun. Be back very soon.
Love this place! $10 for an hr of unlimited play is perfect. All my favorite old-school games like street fighter and multiple pin ball games. Perfect way to unwind!
Fun place. Like a time machine back to 1985. Cool 80's music too! My son didn't realize that Street Fighter will make you tired!
Place is really cool and great vibe. Different than popular belief, there isn't only retro games and pinball machines; there are some newer machines and games like, some racing games and Japanese manga games. Great experience with my family and the kids loved it. Very affordable and fun for the whole family.
I love this place. My son and his friends enjoyed a night of fun for his 21st birthday. The owner was amazing and so accommodating. A great place for amazing fun! Made it a little easier watching my boy turn 21!!! A thousand thanks,,??
I am 50 years old I drove out with my 26 year old son visiting from Colorado and my 7 year old son. Staff is awesome . The place brought me back to my youth, old pinball machines, Defender, Galaga, Joust, from my era, the late 70s early 80s and late 80s 90s games like Silent Strike and Street Fighter. The music so my generation, Madness, motley crew, etc. All the music from my HR high days when we would ride our bmx bikes to the Arcade after a week of chores. If you want to time travel to your youth an
The is a great little place. The Pinball selection is really nice with new and some old Bally/Williams. All of the games are very will maintined. It is very clean and easy to move from machine to machine. I did the one hour based on reviews and did not have enough time budgeted. You need two hours to do all of the machines justice.
We LOVE Retrovolt! My husband and I love it just as much as our kids do. Staff are so awesome and helpful. We always have an amazing time and enjoy the clean, safe, and fun experience for our family. Thank you for all that you do!!
So much fun. If you love old games and pinball machines. $10/hr free play for all games. Great deal, time goes by so fast.
Not to brag but I placed 6th ?? on the terminater game and got a cool shirt im so happy that my teacher told me about this place because it's so awesome hope they never go out of business
Great Place especially for recapturing the nostalgia of childhood and what games were popular back in the 80's, 90's and 2000's a must visit for sure!
This place is great, a wide variety of games and things to do. Also the owner is a really friendly and helpful. Came down just to try out a pinball and ended up having a great conversation with the owner and learning a lot about the machines. We will come back! Highly recommend for groups of all ages
For full transparency I rate 3 stars as any place that meets expectations. 4 Stars as "exceeds expectations" and 5 stars as "greatly exceeds expectations" We had a birthday party here and overall it was a good time. The employees were very nice and the decor was great. I really liked the murals in the party room. It was also really clean, and they were wiping everything down when we got there to set up, and started cleaning up as soon as we checked out of the party room. There were tons of arcades and a b
We visited this place on a Thursday night and it is awesome. We paid $15 per person for the unlimited hours. There are other prices available depending on how long you want to stay. The nostalgia of playing the video games I grew up with is amazing ??. They have initial D , X men, teenage mutant ninja turtles and many more arcade games. They also have pin ball machines available. Expect the crowd at opening hours but it dies down later on. I would definitely come back and recommend visiting this place if yo
A great spot to soend an hour or a day! Perfect for private parties!
Brings back sooo many memories of the Pak Mann Arcade in Pasadena. I miss that place.
We had the birthday party for my grandson here. The kids(and some of the adults too) were so happy playing. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this place for your kiddies parties.
This place is a dream! We walk in paid our 4 pack special, 30 dollars for 4 people to play for 1 hour. Normally 10 dollars a person per hour. They give you a sticker with the time you are to leave on it. So you and the employees know when your time is up. I thought that was simple and very clever. I was geeking out with all the pinball machines they had!! They also had some of the older games you cant find anymore. My kids and I had a blast. Before I knew it, our hour was over. In 1 hour i wasn't able to pl
Retrovolt is a fantastic arcade. You pay by the hour (or get a day-pass) so you don't have to worry about quarters. They keep a huge stock of games, and most importantly: they are well maintained! The real gems though are the pinball games. Great selection, interesting mods, and they are VERY well maintained! They are also easy to work with for parties. Last summer we hosted a corporate event and they were amazing to work with. Great pricing, and our team LOVED the arcade. I don't think people realize how
Everything it says and more! Great atmosphere and great games. Hardest part is pulling yourself away when your time is up. Will be back for sure!
Friendly staff. Super clean. very well kept machines. Super fun. Highly recommend, and I don't just highly recommend places either. Why they have a 4.9 is beyond me. 5 all the way!!! I came here for the first time yesterday and 2 hours was not enough. It was a school night tho.. otherwise my little one and I would be there all night.
An amazing place to have a birthday party! Their packages allow for 15 people and include 2 hours. They provide an amazing decorated room where you can bring food, and it also has 3 large tvs and 2 gaming consoles that 8 people can play privately and even has its own private bathroom!!! We had a blast and time went by so fast but it will be memorable forever.
Brought the family (6 of us) and we all had a blast. Great concept to pay hourly because when my kids started a game and wanted to try another, we didn't have to worry about them wasting quarters or credits. We will definitely be coming back here.
Super cool place. Really brings back memories of my teen years. They have most of the games I remember and they work perfectly. The staff is super nice as well. Pinball!! Need I say more? Why haven't you left yet? Go already! You'll be glad you did!
Absolutely the most fun I've had out with friends in a long time! We did a team building here and there is nothing better than bonding over kicking someone?s butt at race cars! We spent hours here playing every game, and there are so many to choose from so there was something for everyone! Not to mention the biggest collection of pinball machines I've ever seen! All on endless play so you can just keep going again and again! The establishment was so clean and spacious and had the exact right amount of light
Awesome arcade. The games brought me back to the 80s. About 20 pinball machines and 50 arcade games...all the classics and more...have some food at the New York Pizzeria next door, then play for only $10.00 an hour. It really brought me back to the early 80s and the pinball machine selection is awesome . Staff was friendly and really liked her job.please stop by and check this out. You will love it.
Took my kid and his friends for his birthday over the weekend. Tons of fun, great price! Will definitely go back. We went for 1 hour which was the right amount of time. We'll definitely return. You can't find another place like this in so cal! Staff is very friendly.
Nice. Arcade I love the pinball machines. Deadpool is my favorite. They have lots of other games too.
Great staff and huge selection of beautifully maintained pinball and arcades.
We booked a private party at Retrovolt and it was even better than we expected. The space was exceptionally clean, we were greeted at the door, and even learned a few tricks on some of the pinball machines. Our kids had a blast but I think the adults had even more fun. We will be booking future parties here as well, without a doubt.
Nice little spot in Calimesa. They have an excellent selection of pinball machines and classic video games that you pay for by the hour. A really good place for young children and kids at heart. I'd give them 5 stars if they had some beers but there is a little dive bar in the same strip mall. Hopefully one day...
Best $10 I've ever spent! I stopped in specifically to play pinball and this place exceeded my expectations. All machines are very clean and in excellent playing condition. Great variety of tables. And finally, the staff are super friendly and helpful.
Blast back to the past! Old School is alive and well in the desert! Absolutely worth the 2 hour drive from San Diego. Facility is clean, cool, and the layout is spot on. Game selection is amazing! Highly recommended! Staff is excellent!
My family and I love this place ! Great place to play games for a reasonable price. They many to choose from and an hour of play goes by way to fast. I cant wait to go back and spend more time there. The location is even next to a pizza place do if you want to eat before or after the combo is perfect . Recommend going early because play can fill up fast on weekends
A clean, well sized, and well, maintained arcade. A large chunk of pinball machines spanning from 70/80s all the way up til modern ghost busters, with a good deal of classic arcade machines. The price is 10 bucks per hour, and frankly one hour wasn't nearly enough to experience all they had. Parking was easy as they're located in a plaza. To top off this great location is an amazing staff. I had a great chat with Bob and Jeff who you could tell are in it for the love of the games. Overall, a great classic a
Was such a fun time. $10/hr was well worth it. A nice variety of older arcade games to play. There are some newer games as well, but it's retro for sure. The newer pinball machines were sweet(looking at you Stranger Things). Will go again.
Kudos to these guys to bring in some classic arcade/pinball machines for a little "turn back the clock" fun. I took my 12 year old grandson and he loved it. Lots of variety arcades to play and all in one place. You pay per hour for all free play on the machines so no running out of card money or dealing with coins. At $10 hour seems pretty reasonable and they have a second hour at discount. The place is very clean kept and the owners are very nice. With this place so new and location right next door to a we
What a great place to spend some time and remember what old arcades were like! You could not ask for a nicer host, the business really appreciates their clients! Really good pinball selection w a large amount of more modern games too. Love these folks and hope they are around to feed my pinball jones for years to come! BTW-Pizza next door is pretty solid! Best Regards & Thanks Again! BDPimaging & Swing Auditorium.
I went there not too long ago, but it was closed. Got my days mixed up, but when I came to the door the way your staff acted really turns me away from returning. I was at the door and one guy threw his hands up and yelled something. He looked hysterical. The girl at the counter just ignored me and pretended like I wasn't even there. All you had to do was say it was closed. I was like sheesh, I got my days mixed up. Returning is out of the question. Sad, that employees make you feel like??.
Seriously had an amazing time with my family, fun machines, great selection, friendly staff, fair prices, the best deal around! I cant remember the last time i played a video game with my dad and he's almost 60! Go check em out!
Phenomenal place to play. Family friendly. Date friendly. Corporate and birthday party options. A blast from the past in the best way. Pure nostalgia pumped in through the vents. Awesome food nearby at Haus Bistro and New York Pizzeria. A fun affordable way to spend the day.
Took my kids here tonight to experience the retro arcade games, we gad such a fun time! The staff was so friendly and helpful, lots of games and pinball machines to choose from, and it was clean, decent prices too. Highly recommend!!
My teen son had a fantastic Retrovolt Arcade Birthday Party. The party room was spacious and clean. The variety of games made it a fun time for everyone. The owners and staff were helpful and friendly. Thanks again!
Kids, adults, whomever you are, you'll love this arcade. Prices are fair for the family and the fun is nonstop. Support these good folks, and stop in, play some games and pick up a shirt. They just opened up a new area for parties, and we can't wait to celebrate with them.
The owner was shockingly rude to me when I addressed that the party room had no electricity! Surprise! You can use my unusable room and don't expect any pleasantries when you ask me for help! We all left dumbfounded!! ??
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
