Customer Reviews

This place was so fun!!!! $12 each and we were able to play games limitlessly! Such a steal. I fell in love/hate with the Qbert game. It was my favorite but gah I couldn't get past level 3! It just means I'll have to come back and play more. So many games!

We tried this place one evening after dinner. We we greeted as soon as we entered. You pay one price and all machines are free play they have a lot of Retro machines and some new machines, Pinball is also available as well as some gaming systems. We found the employee very friendly and helpful. Found the arcade clean and well maintained. There was one or two machines not in working order but the majority worked great. The restrooms were very clean. We will return again and again.

Cool little arcade spot. 12 bucks play all you want. Some of the games had non functioning buttons. Would be good spot to entertain a few kids for a while.

2025 update: Still a solid place for us to visit every few weeks, it's so close and my family likes classic games. We spent the day. Crazy taxi is still my jam, happy its in working order. A few machines down but someone was on site to fix them. Free admission for my birthday was sweet! Thanks. Will be back in a few weeks. Update: came back for our third visit on a Sunday evening. It was quiet and we had most of the games to ourselves. Lots of fun. Some machines were different this time. Guitar hero

Went there last night. The lady at the counter was pleasant. Prices for the snacks are very reasonable. Some of the games are out of service unfortunately. It would be a plus if they provided bar stools because you get tired of standing after a while but it's great that they are open until 1am Saturday nights my kids who are not so little any more enjoyed the experience.

We had a great time!! There were about 30 of us for a birthday party. All the kids enjoyed it, but so did the adults! Fun. Lots of games/choices. I thought it was nice they had hand sanitizer pumps all around. You & the kiddos could use it to help combat germs.

Truly a fun little place. We just had my son?s 7th and 15th birthday party shared there last weekend. We had a great turnout, and enjoyed the privacy. We had the first hour of our private party. All of the games are really fun and nostalgic. I truly think everyone that came enjoyed themselves tremendously! We are coming back next weekend for another birthday party that someone else is having!

Had a wonderful time here!!!! Was greeted upon entry, the cost to play unlimited arcades is quite reasonable!!!!! It was like going back in time, brought back so many memories of my time at the arcade, plus my children had a blast as well!!!! One of the best parts its an all day pass, so if you want to step away for a break or a bite to eat.....you can come back and play more rounds if arcades!!!!! It's worth trying it at least once, and I, for one will come back to this arcade joint!!!!!

Came here this past weekend, got a family member who lives a walking distance away. Just like the old arcades from when I was a kid. The place was very cool, and I definitely plan on returning again soon.

Took my 9yr old boy there, cool games from my youth... kind of forgot hiw simple they are! But we had a blast for a few hours. Most games in good working order, a few a no go, but I expect normal in keeping aging fleet going. Did feel the need for an extra pump of hand san after, which they kindly provided a large bottle of by the exit. Overall exactly what I hoped it would nothing more or less. Excellent time

RetroCade was a very family friendly environment. The host at the front desk was very nice and patient. There were a great variety of games to play. The only downside is that there were quite a few games that were down due to needing maintenance. Other than that it was a great experience!

The food was really good and a good price. We had the burger, French fries, onion rings, and funnel cake bite. The food was probably my favorite part it was all delicious. My kids had fun thinking they were playing the games but they were too young to understand how to actually play any of the games. I kinda wish kids 5-8 or 9 got in for a discount price since they don't actually understand how to play the games but whatever they had fun and you really can't beat $10 unlimited play time. I was a little bored

Cool spot for kids and adults. Lots of multiplayer game options, had a blast with Guitar Hero and Police Trainer. Friendly staff and good food selection. Alcohol options for the adults (a lot of ciders, beer, etc.). We did Taco Tuesday here and my street tacos were too salty to eat -- that's the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise we had a really good time.

This is a cool place to hang out for a few hours, especially for those who enjoy the old video games. We spent $10 to play unlimited games which is a great deal! There were several games old and new for unlimited play. They do have bar food, soda, water and beer.

Not worth it. $12 a person. Even if you don't play. Not all games are operating.

Went here for a birthday with a friend, very charming! The food isn't to die for, but it's nice for a barcade, and you're not left feeding quarters to the arcades, it's just a flat fee for your time.

Had a last minute company party of sorts. 10 people. We had a blast. Food, drinks and spirits. Several tables and a bar. Good atmosphere and the best thing, it's near our neighborhood! $10 entry and all the RETRO games you want to play. Tons of hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes around the place. We used a lot of it: looks like everyone there was having the time of their year.HIGHLY RECOMMEND for family fun.

Great time with a group of coworkers. Been here a couple of times and always enjoyed it. Nostalgic video games and atmosphere.

I jumped at the opportunity to check this place out before they opened. Even as a soft opening with staff still in training they have it down. Food was a bit longer than expected, maybe 25 minutes for a couple burgers and fries, but they were pretty good. There are always some weeks to perfect stuff, I would go with a smaller bun, as it kind dwarfed the patty and toppings. The kids did not complain and they even cleaned up and ate the veggies that were very crisp, cool and fresh. The fries were super crisp

Great value for your money. Unlimited game play. Family friendly environment. The street tacos were phenomenal The snack food items such as fries, funnel cake bites, and quesadillas were very fresh and tasty. The staff was very nice and gave very positive vibes.

We had a lot of fun at RetroCade. Nice family atmosphere. Relived some teenage memories playing Asteroids and Donkey Kong. Loved that they have some newer pinball machines. However only Godzilla was connected to Stern Insider Connected. Venom and Deadpool had Insider Connected QR code readers, but were not online. They still played great. I had fun playing The Mandalorian, Stranger Things and Avengers as well.

Family friendly and gets turned up at night-adults only. Had a blast with my family during the day and at night with my friends!!! The selection in alcohol is over the top! Its a great place to have fun, drink and eat!

The employees are awkward and seem annoyed when you ask them to buy a drink. The food is laughably bad (chicken sandwich is a trendy with a kraft single on a bun) and half the games are broken in one way or another. All that being said for 12 bucks you can have a few solid hours of fun. Just eat before you go!

A nice selection of games, and the food was great..and they have a nice selection of drinks. For the price this place is well worth it. Just wish it was closer to us, drove 2 hrs to play ??

Fun place for the family. $10 for free play and a variety of arcade games to play for an unlimited time. The food is pretty decent as well, and they have adult beverages. I'll definitely come back!

Was invited by jared to come and experience this place! Very awesome arcade!! Excellent prices on Adult beverages ??? taco tuesday was delicious and my kids really enjoyed their burgers and fries. Lots of games to choose from. Crazy taxi and terminator and guitar hero were my faves!!! They offer a really nice selection. Will definitely be going back. Thank yall.

This place is a gem and has something for everyone. My kids love it because they can run free and play all the games non stop. As parents we love the games as well but the nostalgia factor is more so what we enjoy. To top it all off they have decent selection of beer and drinks to enjoy while you game. I definitely recommend checking out retrocade?definitely worth the small entry fee.

This place is amazing!!! So clean, friendly staff & kid friendly! The food is fabulous as well. If you haven't checked this place out you definitely need to go out and check it out!!

The street tacos were very good! Enjoyed the cheese sticks, too! Nice selection of local craft beers. Good variety of games for everyone... From pinball to shoot 'em up.

Fantastic Family Arcade! They have a great selection of games, old & new! Best source if Pinball around! The Snack Bar Food is very good & they have an excellent selection of Beers! They are open late Friday & Saturday! All day play for only $10 per person. Excellent price for the fun! We love Retrocade!

My family had a great time playing pinball, Pac-Man, Frogger, Mario and sooo many more games at RetroCade. The facility was clean and staff is friendly. We didn't eat any food from the menu but the price for drinks was good. We will be back for more fun soon!

Cool place! Good price to play all day with cool vintage games.

We were invited to a friend?s birthday party for my daughter. They charged all parents $12 to come inside with their child even if they are not participating in the games. They would prefer minors come to a party by themselves unsupervised than allow adults to attend with them. This doesn't seem wise or safe. We thought about having a party here in the future but will not be doing so if this remains a rule as I wouldn't feel comfortable taking full responsibility for that many children at once.

Fantastic place for kids and adults. Very economical, and the food is great. We had our child's birthday there and it was perfect.

The arcade was great and laid out quite well. Played a lot of off-road and star wars. Clean place with well kept machines. The only thing that lets this place down is the food but I didn't visit for the food. I'll be coming back. Convenient location and the staff are very nice.

Great family place. Good old school games. Only one missing was Asteroids. I will be bringing my youth group from church.

Love this place got all the games i used to play as a kid. My kids also had fun. Decent food.

I'm not a huge gamer, but have visited a few times with my family who likes games. I love the big variety of pinball machines and other games (like guitar hero, DDR, and Frogger). You can spend several hours in here playing all the different games and not run out of options to try. I am knocking a star off because in the past year, every time I've visited, there have been at least a few games out of order. It can be quite loud and dark, but there are tables near the windows that you can take a break at. Ove

Our family had such a fun time here! My husband and I enjoyed introducing to our kids the arcade games we used to play. There is such a huge selection and the cost is very reasonable. Customer service was great too. The guy working there was very helpful and friendly to us. If we lived here locally, we would definitely visit on regular basis for fun family outings. The kids have already asked if we can go back!

Cool place, with lots of arcade games to choose from. Fun place for the entire family, all ages. Not too crowded inside, and lots of convenient parking outside. Adults can even grab a domestic or craft beer, a wine, or a sour; but it still maintains it's family friendly environment. $12 gives you access to all of the games, and you can't beat that price.

Great place to play classic games... They do serve drinks and things like hot dogs and pizza a little pricey but that's too be expected... One price to get in and no coins needed...

Like a mini cidercade that's a lot closer to the east side of town. Played some guitar hero with my wife and relived our rock & roll dreams

We had the best time at RetroCade. We played so many of our favorites from the last and quite a few that were brand new to us! I especially like guitar hero and dance revolution!

Blast from the past! There are cool games here, but they no longer are enforcing the CDC's mask policy. People are walking around without masks and they're not using sanitizer to clean the machines. Enter at your own risk!

Cool atmosphere and awesome games. Not real crowded at times and the staff is awesome! Especially Ryder

Great little arcade for the whole family. Plenty of hand sanitizer stations. Everything was clean inside. Kids had fun. Came for a birthday party and it was a good set up.

Its ok but the games need to be kept up with better and fixed

Vast variety of games in this location and many options for drinks as well. The photo booth here took some really cute pictures.

Loved it here! so many fun, old school games, and great prices for everything! I especially love how late they are open. I can't wait to see what else is in store for this place, keep up the good work yall Yeehaw

What a beautiful and fun place. The staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. There were a lot of co-op games which makes this a perfect place for a date. They have plenty of snacks and drinks. I think they have eight or so pinball machines including the mandalorian one. I spent a great amount of time on guitar hero and even got to play against someone there. The price is perfect and the place is super clean and well cared for. This is definitely a place I will g

Food was good and affordable. But its like fast food has a real 90's vibe. Also certain arcades did not have the full 2 player experience due to other people messing with joy sticks. Mario cart item button does not work. But they have nice drink selection. Soda energy drinks etc.

Excellent place and a great deal of play...$10 all day! Found games that took us back to the 80's, plus the pinball machines are really awesome. Great place to bring the kiddos and have a ball! You can eat there or leave and return the same day as long as you keep your wrist band. We didn't eat there but had a fabulous fun time, both kids and adults in our group.I recommend it.

The location was clean and had handsantizer near each game. A couple games weren't working when we were there, but the venue is a lot of fun to hang with friends at. They have a bar too.

We had a really good time. Remember all the old school arcades!

Price isn't bad; however, this place has so much potential, but falls short. Although the aim is retro, it seemed all retro 80s/early 90s games - would have been nice to have some lat 90s early 2000s games (yes those are retro). Also, skee ball would be a plus.

Update: 3 stars I visited this place about 5 months ago and decided to give it another shot. Although while fun and a good time killer, I will say that this arcade doesn't do a very good job at upkeeping the games. Joysticks and buttons get stuck, or don't allow the character to move in a certain direction, and can be frustrating when you really just want to play the game that makes it virtually impossible to play. Several link up games only had one working tv, other screens continuously scrolled from to

Would have been five stars if some of the games would've been repaired/replaced, and if one of the workers wouldn't have thrown mine and my families drinks away while we were playing. For the price its a fantastic place though. The only reason I was disappointed with the state of some of the games is because I drove almost 2 hours to visit. If I would've been 10 minutes down the road it wouldn't have been as important. Highly recommend, my whole family had a blast.

I love it here! My family & I enjoy coming here to play games and grab a bite to eat. They are always so courteous. The food is excellent, especially their fries. I had my daughter's 13 birthday party here, and it was a blast. Everything went smoothly, and everyone enjoyed themselves.

A great time for a great price, though games are often broken. I'm sure that comes with hundreds of people abusing them, but still its the best money per hour value in the Rowlett/Rockwall area

This place was so much fun! My kids loved the pinball machines and overall it was a great family outing.

This place did NOT disappoint! The food was awesome, the service was great, and the selection of games brought back the best of memories! We will definitely be back!

What a fun, clean, family friendly place. Yes, there is a bar (great selection of beers, so plan to carry a can not get a glass poured from a tap. But honestly - this little trip back in time is more realistic with a cold canned beverage - just now it's an adult one!) The owners and staff and really nice. My 7 year old had a really great time 'playing old games'. And don't forget about the ability to do parties here. My 7 year old says this would be way cooler than Chuck E Cheese for her birthday! I have to

This was my second time there. The first was just my wife and I and we had a blast. It was fun playing the games we grew up with. The second time was with my son and we both had a great time playing games and also the food was great. It was a great family activity and well worth it. The place was very clean and someone was always going through and wiping down the games and everything. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely return and will recommend to friends as both a great family ac

What a great place to hang out (especially if you're in your 40s or 50s ??). $12 for all day play, food, drinks! Galaga. Pacman. Mortal Kombat. Centipede. Asteroids. Pin ball machines. Safe, fun, a great time!

Sadly all the games my wife and I wanted to play were not working in some capacity.

Love the pinball machines, great selection of classic arcade games too!! Highly recommend the street tacos if you're hungry... they have 30 day passes for 25$ if you love the place as much as I do.

Great friendly staff. My family had a GREAT time. So much fun. Lots of new and old games. They even have hand sanitizer. I didn't try the food, but it seems reasonably priced.

Staff upon entry is VERY friendly. Family owned Arcade for the last 3 years, which is awesome! Not franchised. ?? Good selection of pinball, classics and more. Worth a visit!

I read the reviews that notes that some games were either fully or partly out of commission and decided to take a chance. on this arcade . Sadly , those comments are still relevant . While most of the games do work, I saw issues such as missing steering wheels, dodgy buttons, blurry CRT screens across a variety of games . I can't believe that management is unaware of these issues , which is a pity because this place is great otherwise . Till then, I can't recommend this arcade .

It's decent for the 11 dollar all Day price. $25 for the whole month. Unfortunately a handful of game controls aren't working or the game is malfunctioning. The burgers aren't worth getting, they are the thinner than McDonald?s burgers with a higher price. My favorite functioning game was the 4 player Pac-Man?s and guitar hero

Awesome place to go for events. They have the ol school games, and some of the newer ones. My favorite was the Mando pinball machine.

This place has a lot of potential because it is a cool idea. It's just that if you are going to be about arcade games, then you need to maintain the games. Many games were either completely off, not responding to buttons, or buttons/triggers completely missing. This was my third time coming here with my kids and probably my last. I just kept hoping that they would get things fixed or rotate their stock. But this last time was probably the worst I had seen the equipment. I hope they turn it around because it

Drinks are bottled and prices are okay. Only food we tried was a chicken quesadilla which was pretty gross tasting, we didn't finish it. My biggest issue was that most of the video game machines there had mechanical issues. Buttons not responding, joysticks wouldn't respond moving one direction. I'd say about a quarter of them were completely unplayable, which was very disappointing. If even half the games were fully functional I'd say it's totally worth the entry price. As is, I wouldn't say it's

This is a great place for a night out. They have gluten free drink options and a couple sports bars up the street with happy hours. We do wish they had a few more pinball games but overall it's amazing and well return often

I took my son and his friend to RetroCade for the first time last night and the boys had a great time. The place was a lot bigger than I expected and had a large variety of games. I thought the boys would be ready to go after an hour or so but they were still going strong after 2.5 hours there. We didn't get a chance to eat there, but the prices of the food is more than reasonable. We will definitely be back.

We visited for my sons 24th birthday. Reasonably priced drinks, decent amount of games. We had a good time. Great door fee. Doesn't make me feel like I have to play every game to get my moneys worth. Love the old school first person shooters. My skills have greatly declined. Lol But at $11 I would have spent a roll of quarters or more if I was having to feed the machine. And I played stuff I wouldn't normally have played. FYI thanks to Jared G for posting about yalls location.

UPDATED 10/27/22- we went as a family to a community Halloween event at RetroCade. We had a blast! The service, drinks, games, and food were awesome! The atmosphere is family friendly and just good fun! I highly recommend this arcade! Since they opens a few years ago they have really knocked it out of the park! Updated 4/20/22- went this evening after not going for a while and we had such a blast! Great vibes and great location! I highly recommend this for family fun or adults fun! Original post I WANT T

We love it here. So many fun games. They have tasty food available too and friendly staff.

We went on a Wednesday night for date night! They have tons of awesome drinks and games. The staff is really friendly too. I felt like a kid again and got to play some all-time classics! My wife had to drag me out to go home!

This place had all of my favorite childhood games (tekken, ddr, guitar hero, all the pacmans). Its not a huge place, but they really pack in the games. The entry cost is very much worth it. Friendly staff, clean, variety of food and beverage. 10/10

My kids and I absolutely loved it!!! It's an atmosphere that you don't want to leave!!! The staff are nice, and the food is good. The details in the throw back games and decorations brought back so many good memories of my childhood. I was over joyed to relive them with my children. We will be coming back. Thank y'all for an awesome time!!!

only $10 per person. was fun for about an hour. found one or two games that were popular and the same people sat on the whole time keeping others from playing at all. Overall for the price I enjoyed playing some arcade games and not having to worry about paying each time. worth checking out. good selection of beers.

Brought the whole family. It was good fun. Food was way better than we were expecting. A few games needed some maintenance due to bad buttons or joysticks but that's typical in any arcade.

Fun for the whole family, and very affordable! Their craft beer and cider selection was ON POINT! the staff was friendly, the games were very fun and nostalgic, the beer was cold and the food hit the spot! 10 out 10, would definitely go back again ?????? (we came all the way out from San Antonio to visit this place, and it was well worth the drive!)

Clean environment, solid beer list, some very interesting and unique games that I feel can't be found in many other places, and Danny is one of the coolest bartenders I've ever had. Absolutely love this place. Highly recommend. Can't wait to try the food as I've only heard good things.

Solid option for a once in a while visit, variety of retro classics. Food is pretty decent and variety of averagely priced drinks. Some of the games are not working or controllers are busted. Membership option seems a bit far fetched.

We had our sons birthday party here and it was a blast. This was our first time here and was a great experience. Staff was great and the prices were fantastic. I really like the fact that both kids and parents can enjoy ReteoCade. Will definitely come back to enjoy some time with and without the kids.

Pretty cool and cheap for such a diverse experience. A bunch of unlimited arcade games you can play all day without spending anymore than ten bucks per person. And that's just the entry fee! All the games are free to play, and you can leave and come back the same day without being charged again! It was a great date and had lots of PvP options, if I lived closer I would get the membership for Guitar Hero alone! Deserves the hype!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
