An absolutely wonderful little gem! I would guess it to be one of the best kept secrets in Richmond, Indiana. For us adults it is a walk down memory lane, but for our children, it is a wonderful place to spend eight dollars and they can play all the video games they want until their hearts are content. They have over 86 different games, they have console game set ups, guitar, hero, even the old dance video games. They also have an exclusive little place called the dungeon, that is made for lovers of dungeon

Clean, friendly atmosphere. Amazing customer service. Pays quality prices for trades. Lots of fun and cool games in the arcade. Nice concessions selection as well. Highly recommend! All 4 kids enjoy it, mom and dad too.

$8 for unlimited play is a deal. We beat multiple games while we were here. Only complaint is it was very hot inside.

My husband and I visited for the first time. Our local game store closed it's Connersville location, but we frequent them in Richmond. Decided to see what Retro Rush had to offer. There's an on-site 3-D printing service upstairs, Retro Rush sells their products and they are amazing and decently priced! They have so many games, from console to cards, and even hold events! Will definitely be back!

I am in NO WAY a gamer or a gamer fan ...however this place was so much fun! My daughter and her friends wanted to check it out for her birthday, and I could honestly seeing just about any ages (video gamed aged) and it's so inexpensive it's really friendly for anyone! $8 to get in, unlimited games and the snack bar was also super cheap with a decent variety of things to choose from. We highly recommend checking this one out!!!

Okay, this place is a fun little gem in Richmond. I had so much fun playing all of the games for only $5 on a Wednesday! The selection was enjoyable. The games for sale were reasonably priced. This is a perfect place for a date night or to hang out. The downside was the parking situation. Parallel parking on a busy road was not my idea of fun. When you enter the building, it's kind of confusing. I wasn't expecting it to be in the basement area. On that note, it's only exclusive to walking-abled people who

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Huge selection of Arcade games to play, and they were very reasonably priced on their TCG stock.

What a throwback! I grew up with Cap'n Bogey's which was an arcade place my dad used to take us to. This was somewhat similar. May have been exactly the same but as an adult I couldn't help but notice a slight stench to Retro Rush Arcade, though it may have been some of the other customers.... so I can't ding them for that. They have all the throw backs! I'm honestly more of a pinball guy, which isn't included in the fee. Pinball is the only thing taking quarters but still totally worth it. I traveled a lit

One of the best arcades I've been to! Love the $8 all day pass. We drove from over an hour away and definitely got our money's worth! Staff was friendly, helpful, and kind. Game selection was amazing, especially with the numerous console stations to play old favorites. Playing GoldenEye with my kids was a highlight of the visit. We will definitely be back, and we will highly recommend to family and friends!

Kind, friendly staff and patrons. My only complaint is parking. However, that can't be helped and people need to get out and walk anyway. Better than the other choices in town, much better!

Such a fun place and so many arcade games. Nostalgia overload. Not to mention the people that work there are really helpful

My son and I had a great time here. You can play all day for one price. The staff was very friendly even though they were very busy. The snack bar was convient and the food was pretty good. They also have a great selection of all things related to gaming and pop culture, from old to new. Highly reccomend, great value.

Great value for the money. We paid $8 for unlimited play (except for pin ball). They had around 100 retro arcade games and some console games. The staff was friendly and of all the games we played, only 1 was malfunctioning. That's no mall feat. A great way to spend the afternoon.

Very cool arcade with a ton of retro games. I enjoyed playing several games from when I was a kid. You pay one price and can play all day.

This place is awesome, and the people running it are fantastic. My kids spent 4 hours playing games and I still had to drag them away! Thanks for creating such a fun nostalgic fun place! Tons of games and Pok?mon cards for sale too!

We just had a birthday "hang out" for my son, and everyone had a blast! It's fun for the adults to relive childhoods and for newer generations to experience how previous generations spent time.

My favorite place to get Pok?mon cards! Always has a great selection with even greater prices! Super friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Nice place. Access to the arcade could be easier, stairs only. Hard for some people to access

Absolutely brilliant!! Cool retro feeling and indie wrestling once a month! This is the place to be!??

Love! Perfect for adults and children. Pricing is affordable . Staff is great. No complaints!

Super fun, reasonably affordable and a good selection of arcade games.

Awesome place. Very helpful. And the cafe has the best pretzel bites I've ever had.

We always have so much fun.

Awesome arcade!!! Tons of games. Friendly staff and so much fun! I'm not even a gamer and had so much fun! Awesome place to take your kids and family! SUPER affordable! Only $8 to play the arcade. Highly recommend!!!

Not what I expected, pretty neat place!!

My go to hangout here in Richmond and a great place to get any used games or consoles.

Amazing experience here. Price for a day of games was great. Game selection is phenomenal. Was able to play my favorite arcade classics. Several emulated machines were available as well. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor was full of nostalgia. There is a pizzeria and game store inside the arcade. Prices for the food were perfect. Nice selection of food and drinks. The calzone I ordered was huge and delicious. I felt like I was reliving the glory days of arcade gaming. I would retur

Just visited over the weekend. We stayed for hours playing and had so much fun. There is a big selection of games - classics, fighting games, shooters, racers. Retro Rush is a clean safe place for kids and families. You can tell they are working hard to get good games and keep everything in top condition.

My boyfriend and I come here every time we are in the area, for the admission price of $8 per person and play most games for free, you can't beat that, staff are very friendly and we always have a great time, they also have a little pizzeria/deli and a small seating area where you can eat your food or taking a break from playing, the only thing is, it is NOT wheelchair accessible, in case someone with disabilities is reading this and only one stall for a bathroom, also not wheelchair accessible They have a li

Great place to show your kids how old people played video games before they were introduced in the home.

Man this place brings back so many memories! Classic and modern arcades for all ages. Multiple console stations with hundreds of games to choose from at the click of a button. You can also book events (birthdays, work events, etc.). Also there is a full cafe featuring Suzie's pizza and a retro game store for all gaming needs. You just gotta feel the vibe! Highly recommended!!

Wide range of arcade games & a great family atmosphere

Awesome arcade! It brings me back to an easier time in life when all I worried about was beating the new high score! Highly recommend giving this place a try!

They are very knowledgeable about games and trading cards. I got a couple of games and a system I'd been wanting for a long time. Reasonably priced. They're Magic the Gathering expert is pretty knowledgeable about the cards. Glad we was able to make the trade thank you.

Friendly, good vibe and fair prices

This is an amazing store!! Very nice and helpful staff

Love this place! Friendly workers and great products!

Great little arcade. More than a fair price of only $8 per person and on Wednesdays it's only $5. Kids loved it.

I'm 46 years old, still love playing video games. Miss the old arcade scene. This brought me back the pinball games were good, the pizza was very good. The old games and some of the new stuff was very nice.

Perfect place to play Magic, Lorcana, and sometimes Pok?mon. Arcade is amazing with tons of games. The store side has a ton of options and games for days. That pizza ????

Heard about this place on Facebook and took my kids. They loved it. Great atmosphere and staff. Everything was affordable. Having Suzies pizza was also amazing and affordable!

It was fun. They had some games from when I was a kid. The only problem was it was so hot down stairs playing games

Place is fun and you can play your old games growing up here

Super cool! Only complaint was that it was kinda warm down there, but it was busy and also being surrounded by a bunch of machines can be hot!

Spent a couple hours in there with my 9 year old. We both had fun ??

We rented it for my son's surprise birthday party and it was a hit! Very nice place!

Wonderful place to hang out and have fun with friends. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Place is fun and vibrant! Tons to do. Finally a place in Richmond for people (especially kids) to hang out at

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
