This was a very nice experience. They have so many games to choose from ranging from old school to new school. The atmosphere is lounge specific. Just a great place to kick back and get lost in gaming. My grandson loved it!
We celebrated my daughters eighth birthday today retro gaming lounge and was amazing. The owners were very professional, engaging and accommodating. The atmosphere was very kid friendly and my daughter had a blast. I would recommend this place over and over again.
This was our first experience and we will for sure be back. My 6 year old played everything he wanted & the owners were so nice and accommodating to him to help!
Had my sons 8th birthday party here and I must say we will definitely be back. They are very easy to work with and it was very reasonable!!
Awesome environment and friendly family atmosphere. Would recommend for anyone with kids or party plans. Arcade game as well as TVs and major consoles in the Lounge area. Clean and organized collectables and games for sale. Wonderfully exceptional customer service with a personal experience that feels like a home away from home. Food and drinks friendly also with amazing prices!!!
Great people and definitely care about their customers. A different store sold me a system that didn't work and Retro Gaming was recommended to me and they took awesome care of me, Just wish I had come here first. I could not be happier with this experience and will recommend them To anyone else who has gaming needs. As a side note, while I didn't use it, they have an awesome gaming lounge with new and retro games. Seriously, go see them. In the Anderson Mall in the food court area!
What a cool place to visit. The owners are true laborers of love. They invite you into their passions with arms wide open. You can find games and memorabilia that will bring you back to your childhood. It is also a pay to play arcade with a combination of consoles and stand up games. I would highly recommend visiting these people and introducing yourself.
Went in today out of curiosity and they were just so nice to us, very welcoming atmosphere, we bought a wii and they made sure it ran and was able to turn on.
Really friendly staff and has a ton of really awesome rare finds for games, video games, and collectibles the people that work there are so friendly and helpful and they check to make sure that you have all your games and that if you buy a system it works before you even buy it, 10/10 place Wonderful for trying to find games that aren't in print anymore cannot recommend this place enough
Really fun place, super nice staff. Fun for adults and kids plus toys for littles. Can't beat the price and would be a great place to have a birthday party!
The kids really enjoyed visiting the lounge! The employees are super sweet!
Had a great time competing in one of their tournaments at atomacon! Kid Retro and Retro Girl are fantastic people and are great at sharing their love of gaming!
Alright, folks, I have to tell you about Retro gaming lounge in the food court in the Anderson Mall! On Friday nights, they have "late night gaming" for kids under 17. It starts at 6:30 and ends at 10:00, and for $20 each, your kids get unlimited gameplay on a huge variety of consoles (including PS5, Nintendo Switch, SNES, and more), old-school arcade games (Ninja Turtles, Pac-Man, Mortal Kombat, Simpsons, and more), various board games, basketball, air hockey, and almost certainly more that I'm not thinkin

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
