Family friendly and great atmosphere! Good food and good people. I recently found this gem and have enjoyed multiple visits. The gaming selection is vast, a true blast from the past! Lifetime customer here. AWESOME arcade bar!
Great place to relax and have fun with friends. Reasonable entry fee covers all video games, so you can try your hand at them all. I went with two adult friends and we were pretty bad at the games but laughed a lot and had fun. The pool table and being able to get pizza were definite pluses. The Owner and staff are very friendly.
Retro City Arcade ? A Blast from the Past! I recently visited Retro City Arcade in Lumberton, NC, and honestly, I can't stop thinking about how much fun I had! If you're into classic arcade games or just looking for a place to have a good time, this is the spot. As soon as I walked in, I felt like a kid again. They've got all the old-school favorites like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, and even some pinball machines. It's the perfect mix of nostalgia and excitement. The best part is, it's not just for hardcore gam
For Lumberton to finally have another arcade besides the bowling alley and this one to have actual retro games from the NES to the 64 to original Donkey Kong to original Pac-Man to some racing games, it's amazing. ALSO, they have emulators THAT HAVE ALL GAMES programmed onto them, which is amazing. They also have some modern consoles like Xbox One and PS5. Also, it has 1 pool table and 1 air hockey. Please, for the love of God, keep this taken care of; nice things in Lumberton are needed for the city to
Very relaxed environment, host at the food and bar area was friendly. The price for food and entrance is affordable; I plan to return and try their drink menu which looked interesting. I had fun playing their arcade and console games. Recommend this place!
Best arcade spot in Lumberton/Robeson County area. Play all the retro games you want and great staff! Recommend for everyone ??
This place is amazing, tons of arcade games and consoles free to play, nostalgia overload. Well worth the entry fee, and I can bring my own beer. Ryan is a fantastic karaoke singer too
Absolutely love the place, I like the idea of paying one price and play all day?. Thank you for booking my kids party?? had the most amazing time
Our town needed a hangout spot like this so bad!!!! Excited to see Retro City is open 7 days a week. You can't beat $10 for unlimited free play. Very solid variety of arcade games and console set ups for a place that literally just opened. The owner and his staff are amazing and very inviting. Can't wait to spend some hours out there with my friends and family!
Went tonight with some friends and had SO much fun. Different games to pick from and an air hockey table. Only $10 to get in and the staff are really nice. Definitely coming back.
Such a fun Friday night spot! Lots of game options from back in the day.
Got there at 715 pm hostess wad not very friendly, was to we had to pay before we could be seated and our children had to be out by 8pm, from a supposedly family arcade and pizza place.
They were so nice and welcoming, we talked with the owner for a good long time and we enjoyed all the games. Would 10/10 recommend. So fun!!!
Hands down the best place to grab a drink in town!
best place ever ! so much fun always a good time ??
Pool, air hockey, good selection of arcade games, retro consoles and new consoles with games preloaded. Plus a bar and food?! Gem.

Lots of good cabinets. They got Tekken 3 and Third Strike!
Great spot to hang and play the classics!
Nice place for the kids
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
