Very nice people. They let my nephew get a "prize bag" plush for free he also tried to win one. Arcade has cool games you should try ticket man or road trip.

I really enjoyed myself with good friends at this bowling alley. Played 2 games which come up to about 50 dollars. Didn't eat anything here but do wish some things weren't so outdated. All in all a good place to bring your family including small ones. Have fun and enjoy

We tried this place out for the first time today, and we enjoyed it! Friendly staff, and very affordable. Thank you

Came here with some friends, it was mostly for the kids they enjoyed their day. The only thing was that our lane kept messing up so we had to wait for it to get fixed a few times. They have arcade cames and a pool table too. They don't serve alcohol it's family friendly.

I attended a private party last night at this location. We had one worker there helping out. She made sure we had a great time and was so attentive that any issues that occurred with the lanes were fixed before we could even turn around and let her know. Unfortunately I did not catch her name but shout out to her!!! Also, bless her time and patience. we were loud and obnoxious. We were just ALOT ??

We had a great time with family! Great price and activity to do in Dalton. Check it out!

Super helpful and friendly staff. I took my three grandsons 10, 8, and 6. we had a great time!

Nice bowling alley in Dalton GA. Empty on a rainy Thursday afternoon, just the way we liked it. Staff was very nice and helpful. The gentleman went out of his way to apologize for a situation that was not their fault. My wife said "southern hospitality right there". (We are Yankees) it was true and I recommend this place fully.

I LOVE Retro Bowl! A REAL family friendly environment! Whether it's league bowling or just practice, it's a pleasure to bowl there. The management team is always nice and helpful, and the place is always nice and clean!

Overall for being the only bowling alley in Dalton it is well maintained. The concession area is rarely open so you have to do with whatever is in the snack machines. Also, they do not serve or allow alcohol beverages at this bowling alley. If we go with our kids we come to this one. But for adult bowling fun, we go to Cleveland. The owner is extremely nice!

It's okay. The people are nice. Everything is just so outdated and needs maintenance bad. Our lanes stopped working about 4 or 5 times during our two games. Which the guy fixed the issue quickly, but it was annoying. The machines also didn't keep score correctly on both games. Not a huge deal for us bc we were just playing for fun, but they could definitely use an update.

We visited tonight for my son's Birthday and the staff were completely nice and patient. We had a group of 21 people and the staff accommodated us with no set backs. We all enjoyed our visit!

We've been here a few times and enjoyed it. Would've gave more stars but we went today and there was an older gentleman behind the counter (appeared to be the boss or owner), he was a little rude and seemed to talk to employees unprofessionally. All the other employees were friendly, helpful and hospital though!

We went for my child's birthday after checking Facebook and their website. No posting was made of being booked for the day. When we arrived there was a sign saying booked for the day even though most lanes were open. When we mentioned to the staff that it was disappointing they did not share that info online they were quite rude. We wasted an hour of kids birthday and left in tears. We will not return.

This place had quality service and very good energy. I would totally recommend coming here to bowl!

Absolutely wonderful bowling alley. Super sweet owners and employees. Coffee is free of charge. League bowlers who want good lane conditions with good oil this is the place to go. Lanes do not break down even after having 5+ games bowled on it, the shot stays the same. Arcade is great for kids to play abd get prices.

I loved this place so much. Defintley great for a good outing

We went to Retro Bowl today Sunday (April 10th 2022). It costed a little under $40 bucks for four adults including shoe rental for 4 games which took an hour and a half. It was very clean and cool inside, they had friendly staff, and it wasn't that busy in the early afternoon. No food or drinks served. There is a snack bar there but it's closed. They also have a small arcade that you can win tickets for prizes which seemed to be more entertaining than the bowling. My only complaints are: 1. The entire

I've gone three times around 8:30 or 8:40 and every single time I've been told they don't have lanes available or no. But they close at 10pm sometimes later. They pick and choose who to take because I have seen them take other parties or other people after me. Don't recommend!

Perfect atmosphere and very family friendly! Would highly recommend!!!

It's a very clean tidy place and I like how not alot of people were their but it could use a up date on the lanes a ball was always stuck in the back and wouldn't come out till another ball knocked it out to the return, and before our game was over the arm came down and stopped our ball. As for their game room dont bother wasting your money either it took your tokens or wouldn't give tickets or just wasn't working.

We have always had amazing experiences here. We just finished a birthday party tonight, and it was enjoyable from first point of contact to planning to completion. Thank you!!

My family and I really enjoyed coming here to bowl. We had such a great time. Very satisfied with the service with a smile. We will be back. Thank you for having us visit.

Showed up to bowl but I guess they are closed on New Years. Google said they were open but I guess you can't trust Google for such things. Wish they had a better online presence listing their hours and when they were closed for holidays even their own website or something.

My girlfriend has never been bowling before so I thought it'd be cute to take her. I'm not from this area so I didn't know any better than to try this bowling alley. When we walked in, "sweet home Alabama" was playing. I wouldn't have had problem with that song because I get it. An alley full of nothing but white people in Dalton, GA would 9 times out of 10 enjoy that song. Cool. But it feels like whenever I walk into a place full of white people playing music especially in Dalton, they change it to try to

The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE & BOWLING ALLEY. We first started bowling on lane 3 in the middle of the game we got moved to lane 7 because our lane quit working. When we got to lane 7 we finished up our first game of bowling ( on sundays it's ? suppose? to be buy one game and get one game free) our group paid separate and was suppose to have a total of four games. In the middle of our second game our lane 7 quit working as well. NO apologies NOTHING. After waiting to have them ? fix? lane 7 for about 15 mins I

Great people great place great atmosphere. Love coming here .

Older bowling alley but the prices are cheap!!! Newer Lanes and balls. We drove over from Chattanooga to get out of town. They are sanitizing all the lanes and balls after each Lane.

It is a great place to bowl. Nice people work here

Been coming to this bowling alley since I was a kid. Always love to enjoy things like this with my kids. Staff is friendly and not too busy if you get there early which is good for my kids. Hope to be coming back here for years to come.

Very friendly staff and amazing atmosphere! Loveeeeddd the dog

Super great environment, great idea for a fun night out

I wish I could give this location zero stars. My 2nd grader had a field trip scheduled for this place for several weeks. When the children got there, no one was there to open the place up for them. This is very unprofessional of them. This may not be a big deal to adults, but when you have bus loads of second graders leaving in tears, then something needs to be done. I have never visited this bowling alley, nor will I ever. I hope to hear from them soon as to how they will remedy this situation.

You just can't find them like this anymore. Millennials love nostalgic places and this one doesn't skemp. Even had cosmic bowling. It's a great family atmosphere and I was surprised at the younger crowd there. Bowling is a great time with friends. Let's hope that the ending of the pandemic can help out down our phones, come together, and appreciate places like these that are in decline in this day and age. On the Weeknd's they have a red pin that if you get a stroke you win a free game. I found this out b

You can never go in there and just bowl , it's always something to do with a league or something

Great place for the family

Best bowling in the area! Lots of fun every single time.

Friendly place to bowl with great people. BOGO Free days, Cosmic on Fridays and fun leagues. Been my bowling home for over two years.

Everytime we have tried to bowl in the last 6 months, there's always leagues or signs posted that say "no lanes until 9pm." It doesn't matter when you try to go on a weekend, you aren't getting a lane!! Period! Customer service is rude! We'll stick with the drive to Chattanooga!!

Great place to have lots of family time.

I had a pretty good time but the restroom was a disaster and the toilet was full of toilet paper but the games were incredibly fun!

I love Retro Bowl! The staff are wonderful and prices are completely reasonable. My friends and I have done ladies nights and have taken the kids and it's always a blast!

Had a party here for our daughter, staff was excellent, clean facility. Would recommend.

Great food and money well spent! Nice and clean

Great place for birthday parties, family outings, date night or a night out with friends. They even have leagues and tournaments. Very family friendly and professional staff.

Great place to go for family fun. People who work there as well as the customers are friendly and helpful.

I've been coming here since I was 6 years old. It's still as amazing as when I was kid!

after reading some of these reviews I don't know what some of you expect, maybe you want to bowl for free? This is great place run by great people

Great place for birthdays

This place was so fun 10/10 recoded for fun

I give 5 stars because my grandbabies had the best time and reasonable prices and friendly staff ??

Great little place to bowl!

Great folks. Family owned. Clean and cockroach ??. I ?? make that statement, I do the monthly pest control ??.

Super clean , best lane conditions with in 50 miles..good for all family and league play.

My family and I have a great time there. Clean fun.

Some of the better bowling lanes I've bowled on but they need to update their hours to something that works for them

My favorite place to take my family on Sundays for a relaxing and fun round of bowling.

Love this bowling alley. Buy one get one game free on Sunday's is outstanding.

With all he wait with the lane being messed up we paid for unlimited bowling for an hr and couldn't even finish one full game with my family.

It's a nice place just to go on a date and chill and just have fun!!??????

Glad to see this bowling alley back, great service, we will go back!

Love the place and the folks that run it

Cosmic bowling was so much fun and the people there are very nice! Will be going back!!

Lanes have technical issues every now and then. No food or drinks are served.

I think that it's a great place to go and it's really clean

Good time for the kids. Nice staff!

Nowhere on this website do they tell you when the Bowling Alley will be opening again for business. Not very informative.

Me and the family had a blast time out there thank you

Great time ?? great slaw and the concession lady was awesome ????????????

Staff is super friendly! Ally prep was fantastic!

Paid by the hour, lost a lot of time with the error and waiting on an employee to reset

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
