One of my favorite places to go to to find niche and rare collectibles, and play on some unique arcade machines. The staff and the owner are very polite and welcoming, The owner makes it clear that this place is a location for everyone from every walk of life, that enjoys subculture. For their music selection they have a little bit of everything but mainly punk and soundtracks. You can find some rare manga and even rare japanese games at agreeable non-scalper prices.

Went to the store to get a t-shirt because I saw it on social media. Came home with a cool vinyl and video games. Awesome spot, looking forward to going back and playing some arcade games there. Very well decorated and with friendly staff.

Great game, anime and record store! We came in for the games and were not disappointed. They had a very strong, albeit limited selection of games. Lots of console games, a decent corner for handhelds, and a giant binder of loose discs. They have their rarer titles in the display in the back and by the counter. Prices are the fairest I've seen in the whole area and everything I bought beat out what you'd find online. The employees are also all friendly and polite. The owner is a man of many talents, too. I got say one of the coolest shops I've been to. Everywhere you look, there's something to see. Staff is chill but still very helpful. Also, all the prices here are very fair. Most shops charge tons for things like vhs cassettes. I can't wait to go back

I used to leave closer around the Riverside/Norco Area when I first heard of it but compromises and me having to live further out due to family reasons happened. Its a really fun place to hang out for a bit. Ive been coming here a lot over the past year to get anime/video game t-shirts and plushies. The crane games are nice too :) its a very safe, welcoming, place which is unfortunately becoming rare these days.

Probably the most conflicted I've been about a store. I'll start by saying the selection is amazing. While the store is small, it's jam-packed full of esoteric retro nerd stuff, not just anime. The stuff you'll find here you'll be hard-pressed to find elsewhere. That said, the anti-christian propaganda posted around the store made me feel unwelcome, I had a christian upbringing. I figured a left-leaning business would be more tolerant which is a shame.

Why am I only finding this place now!? Immaculate vibes? Retro games?anime merch? Arcade machines? Was this place made for me? If you've never been to this gem, you really need to drop in and give it a look.

More of an 80?s multi media store than a record store. They had everything from vintage gaming consoles to laser discs. Great vibe and a kind staff.

This place is awesome. Cool video game with a few awesome arcade machines focusing on 2d fighting games. Really fun and inexpensive to play. Especially like the dark stalkers and Capcom vs Marvel 2. Cool vibe.

(I'm from Michigan and came with my fiance) Absolutely THE best anime store I ever been to. Loved the vibes and to top it off, NO cringey Funko Pops! Owner and workers were so sweet and funny! I usually feel overstimulated with stores like these? But this store? I felt like I was home and calm and collected.

Ratnest is a great place for Retro gaming, and there is a clear passion for it amongst the staff. They do a great job with pricing games as well as with bring imports over for those who are interested. I highly recommend checking them out if you are interested in collecting games.

This place is sick as hell just to walk into and look around. And then if walking isnt enough they have videogames, insane really.

I've gone in so many times and I have to say it's one of the best stores in the area. Robbie is a nice guy and even though i?m not very talkative him and his employees make me feel welcome everytime I come in. Also their stock is always top notch!

This place is one for my all-time favorites in SoCal. There is nothing like this store anywhere else in California, with a store owner who has a passion for the unique and obscure in music, anime, and games. It also helps that he is creating the ideal arcade for silly oldies, like me, that is practically non-existent anywhere else. Please support this store, as the one the best things in SoCal.

This place is amazing I wish there was more like it. They have a great inventory of rare media and collectibles in great condition. The store was very clean and well-organized and had a very cool retro / punk atmosphere. I found the staff to be quite friendly and knowledgeable. On top of all that their prices were more than fair for a retail store. Would highly recommend for anyone that loves collectible media.

This store is so cool! The aesthetics are very punk but chill enough to hang out for a while. Rat Nest is a cross between a video game museum, a Japanese arcade, and your local record store. Rob is the store owner, and it couldn't possibly be in better hands. They are friendly and informative. They hold a deep knowledge of nerd culture that is genuinely mind boggling. If you have even the slightest interest in stopping by, do it. It will not disappoint.

This is a one of a kind shop! A place you just wanna live inside! Amazing range of games, anime, music, movie and other collectables with some fun little Easter eggs snuck in between the shelves! This place has lore, love and care put into it! Not to mention the owner is one of the most incredibly sweet people you could ever met, with vast knowledge of what he loves and sells. This isn't just a Shop it's someone sharing themselves and the things that they love in side of a cool looking room.

A great place to shop retro stuff. The employees and the place itself is great. I only came in for a charger for an old Nintendo DS I found, but they are also very friendly. They also pointed me to another shop that could do repairs for old game consoles too.

Very cool lil retro variety shop. They got some vinyl, some VHS, some Tshirts, some anime /otaku stuff and of course, retro video games. While not a huge game selection, its an eclectic collection with something for almost everyone. Place has a great vibe and owner was super cool to talk with...he is actually into the things he sells which is a bonus! Like Arnie..."I'll be back".

Possibly haunted. It's the escape room where you don't want to escape! Plenty of charm to be found here. The business card makes it clear that there's a bathroom. Do you know how many places do NOT advertise that they have a bathroom? A true haven for misfit toys. If you're into cult stuff, this is probably your place. I truly hope it stays open for a long time because it's the store of my dreams.

Robbie is a warm/super knowledgeable owner. Super fair deals for trade ins. Excellent selection of different retro titles, punk, horror, and whatever other collectibles you're looking for. Rat nest is possibly one of the best record stores out here. In chino there's absolutely nothing going on, and this completely changes it. There's a big punk vibe, wide selection of vinyl, video games, DVDs, and VHS. Amazing place to hang out during the weekends. Wouldn't miss it.

visited this place from word of mouth from my friend! immediately walking in, I had conversation with the owner, who told me the lore about the place, all the obscure niche stuff that comes in , and literally anything I basically asked for! it's a very comforting shop that I could honestly spend all day in, as this is probably the only place in socal that has any early 2000's lover's entire personality all condensed in once place LOL i'll definitely be a returning customer with the very humble arcade cabin

Has Nintendo games from NES to the Nintendo switch system. Has many handheld gaming systems for sale. A unique Gem in the Chino community and hope it grows onto everyone.
