I don't have any other skate rink to compare this to, so this is based on one experience. I wasn't part of purchasing the birthday package, but it seemed like a good deal- pizza and drinks, party gift bags, we had the party seating area for 2 hours and then moved into the general area, but were still allowed to skate. The rink is a good size, not too small and not so large that you lose your kid. They have walker-assists and offer both standard rollerskates and rollerblades, which saved me. Bathrooms wer

It's a nice rink however...they have a section blocked off that makes it much smaller so it gets crowded easily. That makes it harder to skate with all the kids in the way. The most disappointing part is the music. The DJ just kept playing slow or silly love songs. No fun songs that get you grooving and that's what skating is all about.

Kids love Skateland!! We're are always the last ones to leave. Great value for the time you get. Kids love the 4 corners game !! Can't day enough goods things about the place. Shame most kids don't know how to skate... This was my generation's go to for parties and field trips.

It's a great family friendly place. There's ample parking. There's an arcade as well as a mini putting area in the complex.

So here's the skinny, we had a party for my daughter that had to be rescheduled because of Snowvember and luckily almost everyone was able to make it and the lady made it easy to reschedule. Communication prior to the party was great as well. The rink is large and offers plenty of space. Its reasonably priced to throw a party for your child. There are different party packages we took the second option with unlimited soda, two pizza's and aparty favor for every kid. The kids had a lot of fun. The were a

Fun for the whole family, snack bar, arcade games. They hold birthday parties as well.

While we were at Rainbow Skateland two weeks ago, my oldest daughter asked if she could bring 2 or 3 friends there on her birthday. We hadn't locked down any solid plans for her birthday gathering, and I knew we had spent everything we could on the experience gifts for Christmas and her birthday, so I said yes, we can do that, but I can't pay for any friends to skate, just let them know that ahead of time. 2 or 3 friends turned into 10, as it does when teenagers make plans. I recruited a bestie to load her

This was an impromptu father Sonday mission. Since my son had been practicing ice skating I thought it might be nice to try skating and bring back some memories of my childhood. Well this place definitely nailed it. ?? first I found that they have great skates there to rent- very clean and newer looking. Also i got my son a skating assit thing with wheels for like 3 dollars. That was a great way to get him going in the ring. The skating itself was pretty empty probably because there was a game

Skate land is a place i been going to since I was a little kid always would bug my mom for money so I could go with my friends or bug her to take us to DARE skate on Thursday witch was free or half off can't remember lol skate rentals are 3 dollars and entry to skate is 6 dollars they do skate games and music and have a arcade and put put mini golf

Brought the gf and her younger sisters for a fun night out and according to the gf alot of exersize. As a bystander my complaint is the stools are small and uncomfy. The arcade is a nice cross between old and updated. The place wasnt to packed. The kids had a blast and enjoyed playing the corners game.

We had a great time very family friendly place to take the kids ??

The staff is amazing and accommodating. My daughter attended a 11 year old birthday party on a Sunday( it was a fantastic time) . We were back the next Saturday for an early morning new skater class. The staff makes all the difference

My daughter and I love going to Rainbow Skateland! The staff is always kind and accommodating. We have always had great experiences every single time. The price is worth it when you can skate for hours. I also love how they do lessons before skate on Saturdays and it's no additional fee, just the regular price you pay! The kids enjoy it so much as the instructor is great! ??

Such a wonderful floor to skate!!! It was still just as fun as it always was!!

Went for a birthday party, usually go 2x a year, would have to say 1/3 of the games were broken, and I had to get 3 replacement blades from being broken.

Supper fun my sister got hurt but it's just because she refused her trainer and went to fast.(she's ok she's just dramatic) But really good fun place but the arcade needs more games more that only need 2 coins ?? also the little prize area the stuff that is money ?? and not tickets are to pricey I spent $10 on 2 small plushes that are easy to get lost. Staff where super kind ??.

Updated Review 2024: Just wanted to update on the challenger league?s second year at skate land. Everything was great. The kids loved it. Their workers enjoyed it and parents were impressed with the facilities. Karrie was excellent as always. She went over and above on one occasion. Where I called her and asked if there was any way she'd be able to get a group of 25-30 kids in, due to a misunderstanding on where our original plans where. I called her and explained everything that was going on and she told m

They had good prizes for the tickets!

We just had a birthday party here last week, would definitely do it again! The kids had so much fun, stress free on our part! Pricing I believed was reasonable. The only slight issue we had was guests without kids were told they had to pay to skate (which we didn't want anyone being charged for anything and wanted it to come out of our pocket and charged to the party bill) it was more of a communication issue in the beginning-once I brought it up to the worker running the front desk it didn't happen again.

Daughter's birthday party went smoothly. All the kids had a very good time.

Had a private 13th birthday party for my daughter, we added the glow package for all the kids and most everyone was able to attend. The party hostess was very easy to work with, answered any questions i had, and handled everything the day of the party. My daughter wasn't feeling in the party mood beforehand but by the end of the night she said this was her best party ever! Thanks again to the hostess for making this soo easy to plan!

I was last here in the late 90s. Not much has changed here. What a great way to relive some memories on the rink.

First time there for me. Went to celebrate a birthday. The kids had alot of fun. Not a 5 because some of the staff did not have patience with children and talked kind of rudely to them. Other than that...fun night. They have arcade games here also.

This is a well maintained rink with friendly, welcoming employees. The DJ Patrick was very accommodating to anybody that fell. The skates are very clean, and in great condition. The skating floor is free of gum, very smooth and no bumps. Kaia was very helpful with questions I had, will be back in the future ?:)

The manager was wonderful. She had two workers helping during the Friday of February break. They were all so helpful getting skates, food, prizes, and more for people. They never missed a beat. Their pizza logs are the best! They are only 4.00 and they are worth it! They also have cute prizes for the arcade from candy to little trinkets. Not junk! It's also nice that the floor is flat. When you get on the roller skating floor, you don't have to take a step or go down a ramp. It's a flat surface.

Brought my granddaughter on a Sunday afternoon. She loves skating and playing games. She takes her receipt for tickets to the stuff shop. The girl working there wasn't friendly with the kids, when I went up there with her it changed. Why are you rude to kids when an adult isn't around? Not cool. No one wears name tags so no idea what her name was. It was Sunday January 22, 2023 from 2-4

Had a great 9th birthday for my daughter at Rainbow Skateland. Excellent value for what you receive. Facility was clean, food was good, and the kids all had a blast. Thank you to the friendly and accommodating staff for a wonderful party!

We really enjoy coming to the toddler/homeschool skate on Tuesday mornings. The price is unbeatable, and perfect for families with multiple children. The staff is always friendly and attentive to our needs.

Our 11 year old had so much fun at his party today! We wondered if it would be chaos when we saw a little girl was having a 20-person guests party nearby (God bless em!) but happily, not at all. Everything was organized like clockwork. The hostess was wonderful, and so was the DJ, the staff, and Gary at the door checking in guests and making all feel both welcome and safe... A nice, clean, family-oriented seeming business-- they all keep things running smoothly and are very in tune with each other, from th

Little outdated, fairly clean, and decent price for open skating. Most of the arcade machines are operational, and they do accommodate if you have an issue with one, birthday parties, kids have a blast, family oriented environment at least for what I've seen for midday Saturdays open skate, mostly operated by young adults but they do a decent job.

Let me just start by saying, I NEVER leave reviews. I'm fairly certain this is my first one. That being said, I HAD to leave one for, yes the place, bc all the kids had a blast, but mostly for Karrie. She was absolutely amazing. She was patient, answered all my questions, and knew exactly what to do every time. I would definitely come back, just for her! She is 100% the reason for the 5 stars.

We came here for my grand daughters birthday party. Great place love how they have the roller helpers for the new skaters to help keep from falling. Food was great they had everything set up. It was so easy we will continue to come for more birthdays that's for sure. Thank you to the great staff for all your attention in making this an easy party.

Perfect if you love taking your kids somewhere where there are 4 times as many kids as adults that aren't following rules or directions lol. Had a kid in the rink skating the opposite direction creating accidents and no adult was around bc no works were watching the skating. I think the median age of workers is 16 as well. They close at 10 and higher up person that was working the food had an attitude with everyone including adults when the ordered food at 9:20. 5 games in the arcade were out of service, an

Temperature checks before entering, masks required and not crowded. Very clean. Reminders from the DJ that masks required unless sitting and eating. The only disappointment was, although the vast majority were great, there were a couple of older teens who were continously wearing masks below their nose or on their chins and we never saw them asked to correct and wear safely/properly

Good time, busy place, but they have security and seem to be a safe fun time. Nice disco lights. Could us better entry/exit to rink itself or limit people as people had a hard time entering and exiting rink without getting knocked down by on coming skaters. But other than that fun.

Skateland is family friendly! Customer service was great! The only thing that wasnt very kid friendly was the music content. Over all is was a very fun and energetic atmosphere! We will be going back every chance we can!

If you're looking just to skate or play Mini Golf, the place is fine. If you're looking to play in the Arcade..don't do it. Half the machines are "out of order"..and every game my kids played they were ripped off tickets. Daughter actually hit a Jackpot, no tickets came out..the attendant told us there was nothing they could do. I'm not even exaggerating, EVERY game shorted us tickets. We spent $50 on tokens and my 3 kids ended up with two pieces of Candy each. Not that I was expecting much, but at least le

Amy was super helpful with my first time at this Rainbow Skateland. I only gave 4 STARS because it was my first time and everything was excellent. (Minus 1 * for no adult ?canes? but in a way without it, it helped with my balance & I didn't have to rely it. The option could be nice though :) I actually really enjoyed myself & I will be back! Fr Fr

My family really enjoyed themselves here last weekend. We also loved buying the blow up unicorns, very reasonable pricing. Only downside, the music was very diverse...mainly pop music.

Our kids love it here. We had our sons 8th bday party and everyone had a blast! Great place to learn for the young ones to learn with the plastic walker type support available for them.

The price we were given for a party ended up doubling when we got the bill... EVERYTHING has a cost associated with it, PLEASE ask lots of questions before booking here! Nice place, clean, friendly staff, pizza is average, pop is flat and you are very rushed.

lady working behind food counter served us uncooked mozzarella sticks. when approached counter to let them know she walked by us frantically and replied ?uh uh i don't know i just work here? with a very nasty tone and she proceeded to walk right past us. I understand maybe she was busy nd trying to get to something but she could?ve atleast said okay give me one second but she's rude nd very much racist, because after the situation occurred she went to tell her coworkers a bunch of people ?ganged up on her?

Went through many pairs of skates until given ones that were not broken. Bathroom was dirty. Super crowded. Garbage on the floors and 2 of the workers were just standing talking when there was a huge line. I love to skate but they could honestly do better. Wasnt worth the money and time to be honest. No excuse. Do better.

This place has been around for my entire life. Skating rink is always fun for anyone. Has changed owners but no difference really. Also has mini golf and arcade as well as food and drinks. We always enjoy our time here.

Big Burtha is gone but I still had a great time. They also sell alcohol now. ??

I have been skating here since I was a little kid and I have always loved it. They do really really need to buy new skates though. They have seen better days. They didn't even lock even after I got another pair. I also thought $13 per person was a little expensive but its whatever. We still had fun. They place was WAAAAYYYY over packed for covid being around. But the food prices are cheap. & the staff is nice so obviously im coming back lol

We rented the whole rink out for a private party for my sons 10th birthday and we all had SO much fun...kids and adults!! The staff was AWESOME and very friendly and helpful! I had a very good experience!!

My husband and I just went there. We had a great time but there was debris on floor which caused us several accidents. Sweep the floor often is my recommendation. That should be a given. Not sure if we will come back.

Lots of good family fun!

amazing when someone actually puts the money. time and the heart In to a wonderful establishment like this. this place is great! it's a very clean and fun environment. and there's so much to do here. thank you!

Dirty place.. skates are not maintained, gross and laces on them are knotted up and can't really tie. I'm not going to waste money there again. Not worth it$?

This place would be awesome but their information is horrible. The website is outdated and confusing, hours are diffrent online from what's on the phone message and what's listed at the food counter. It should be right when you come up to the door. I've stood waiting to be told their closed too many times. They don't have enough staff to deal with a kids birthday party. Its so sad cause the winter is the best time to go skating but there isn't advertised events on facebook.or anything that brings people in,

My child's school held a party for their grade and they all had such a wonderful time. Helpful and kind staff, clean, happy environment.

My son went to a Friday night skate last week and when we picked him up, there was was huge fight that started inside and went outside to the parking lot. And none of the staff called the police or tried to stop it! Super scary. So much for a fun time.

Our kids have a lot of fun going here and the prices aren't terrible for the amount of time that they get to spend there. We'll for sure keep coming back.

Me and my friend went just for some memories back as kids and my friend went into the bathroom and there where other kids in there being loud so they kicked her out and everyone in the bathroom so i went to ask what happened than i got dragged out my the officer by my arm. So much has changed sense the last time i went .

Fun atmosphere. Family friendly. Games and snacks are available. Great place for your child's birthday.

PROS: Decent sized skating rink. Roller skates are of good quality. Fair price for for skating and skate rentals Friendly staff CONS: -ABSOLUTELY Terrible Food. Fries made me sick. Bring your own food. (You have been warned) -Most of the arcade games are either broke or out of service. -They charge an extra $3 for each training hand carts. -Dirty tables and benches - Everything cost EXTRA (Lockers, Water, dollies, ect..)

TOP NOTCH ACCOMODATIONS FOR OUR TEEN EVENTS THAT US LOCAL BUSINESS OWNERS HAVE PUT TOGETHER. THIS PLACE HAS A HEART OF GOLD AND SERVED 200 TEENS WITH SMILES AND LOVE!! WE WILL BE BACK FOR MANY MORE EVENTS WE HAVE PLANNED IN THE FUTURE!! TY ALL SO MUCH!!

It's a fun time with family for small kids they should update stuff there to get new fun things to bring in more people it's kinda lacking that

Went for a birthday party for my niece and had a blast! I didn't even know there was still a roller rink in the area!!

I went to Rainbow Skating for years.Enjoyed my experience fun time's and skating. My dad moved from Houston Texas where skating is a tradition. He loves Rainbow and goes to both.My son's have been going so you can say its a pass time pass on through the generations!Kiddos to the founders family and stuff!Keep up the good work?!P.S. wish there was one in Niagara falls.we travel from Niagara Falls but it's definitely worth the drive?.

My wife and 9yr old son planned to take me to Rainbow Skateland on fathers day., to play mini golf. After a 30 min drive to get to Rainbow Skateland with gas prices at $5 gallon, we find out by a note on the door they were closed on Father's day. Rainbow Skateland has a website but did not update there website to state they were closed on Father's day. This is poor communication so I'd suggest calling before you go since the website isn't reliable.

Great rink! The floor is great. A true feel of comfort for a roller rink.. Fun for everyone, the whole family, putt-putt, games, great concessions! What a blast for all...

Just had a 9th birthday party for my daughter and everyone had a blast. The staff was great.

Every single time we go here, the staff is on point!!! Love this place! Recommend for your party!!!!!

Very fun and even more fun with friends the skates fit nicely and the music is great. Food and drinks are yummy. And the food service is awesome.

Absolutely love it and can't wait to have my kids b day party there

My son had his birthday party here two months ago and everything went smoothly and the kids had an awesome time! !

The kids, as well the adults, had so much fun! It isn't pricey and the staff is great.

My kids love it there! In fact, we're probably going to have a birthday party there soon!

Hasn't changed in 20 years. Kinda cool in that aspect. But needs some updates honestly.

It was so fun accept someone tried stealing my phone and they didn't do anything... But it's fine...

Brings back awesome memories going here with my boys. Truly incredible experience and nice staff.

Kids had an amazing time. Skating(skates or blades), putt-putt and arcade available.

Not as nice as when it was skateland. Boring and old looking. They ripped out all of the carpet for non skaters and beginners to learn on. The owner can be quite nasty.

The floor is as smooth as glass, and the building has air-conditioning. A priceless combo for any skater during the summer.

My son did not want to skate still had to pay admission for him. No one to greet you. Only saw two workers felt it was understaffed.

I take my daughter here every week. It's great to see a roller rink still open and doing well.

Only thing open there is the skating. No bounce houses no arcade no mini gulf. But we stl enjoyed ourselves

Kinda in the middle of no where but it was a lot of fun they had fun games so it wasn't just skating in circles for a couple of hours, and a blacklight is always cool

It could be better the service is ok but THEY GONNA CHARGE THINGS THEY DIDNT CHARGE BEFORE UNFAIR JUST TO TRY TO GWT MONEY OFF OF PEOPLE ????????????

Great place for younger kids ands teens alike, it's a lot cleaner then it was when I young.

The staff kicked me out because too many people wanted to fight me there makes no sense i wanna go back because that's not fair i shouldn't be getting kicked out for no reason.

The Saturday morning skate class is very helpful for new skaters. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the prices are reasonable.

Everything was fun. Looks like they are still working on the water features.

Great place! Felt really safe for covid. The kids and I loved it.

Kids had fun, just don't waste your money on their food

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Why are arcade prize games so exciting to play?

Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
