Drove up from Tampa to check this place out. Definitely one of the best arcades in Florida with a great variety of games. The $10 fee is very adorable and they offer a large variety of beverages. I also appreciate I could take my seven year old son here so he could have the experience in being in a bonafide arcade. Atmosphere is a 10/10. A couple cabs were a little worse for wear but that happens with 35 year old machines. Also liked that they had TVs set up for different console games. That's a great touc

Awesome arcade bar with an assortment of pinball machines and old arcades as well as old Nintendo and PlayStation games. They have a large variety of different beers and seltzers as well as a couple draft option. Cheap, affordable option for a night with friends or fun for the family.

Well worth the 10$ charge to play. It covers all the games, i didn't see any exceptions to that. It's all open. Lots of old retro games as well as some newer stuff. They serve alcohol but I didn't partake.

Great free play arcade! Nice collection of well kept games. If I lived closer I'd be a regular. Great selection of Stern IC pins with live leader boards on the wall by the bar. Craft brews served in cans and a few on tap. Killer Queen was awesome to watch in action with 5v5 game play. We will definitely be back.

Hung out here for first time with my kid on Fathers day. Really cool place with old school arcade games I grew up playing in the 80' and 90's. Nostalgic atmosphere. Very reasonable $10 fee for unlimited play and drinks were at a good cost. Staff was very pleasant aswell. Highly recommend checking out. I'm definetly coming back

It's a dive, but it fun. Took the kids when they opened and left about 830pm. My girls had the best time and even thanks us for taking them. They don't serve food, but you can bring a snack in.

This is a throw back gaming bar. Old school cabinet games, old console games, and pin ball. They are all fun and bring back some fond memories. They have beer at the bar and a wide variety. It's not the cheapest, but I'm not there for cheap beer. A ten dollar cover charge and games are free! Some of the cabinet games are a little busted. Specifically, the shooters like House of the Dead and the one next to it. I forgot the name. I wanted to play Final Fantasy. The original from NES, but i didn't ha

Fun little spot. Love the owners Joe and Sam, they work hard and treat everyone like family that walks in. Little bit of something for everyone in there. Cool little beer selection as well. Def worth a stop.

If you are reading the bad reviews, let me go ahead and put your mind at ease. 1. FL Law requires they check IDs regardless of how "old" you look, so YES bring it with you! (Especially after 9 pm) 2. Beers are reasonably priced ($5-$8 each) depending on the one you choose 3. I can always afford more beer because the $10 entrance fee covers ALL the games (No tokens/Quarters required) 4. The staff is always super friendly, and they are always happy to help me choose a drink when I have trouble deciding fr

Amazing atmosphere, great staff, awesome deal. They have one of only 88 Killer Queen Bee games in US, it was so fun we made friends playing it. Really clean, the cover charge is awesome as all the games are free and they had an excellent selection of console and standup games. I only ding them a star from the beer and cider only options. I am a cocktail man, so it's hard to escape without heartburn. They have a large selection just not my style.

This place is awesome! The staff was amazing, people that hang out here are friendly, you can tell who the hardcore gamers are! Great place to make friends and enjoy games of all types! Happy to finally see a place here that's an actual hangout without the bar vibe! Definitely will be going back every chance I get!

That fact that a place like this even exists in this area is amazing in itself ! But there are so many other things to love about Rad Bar. Like their $10 all you can play. You cannot beat that price! The majority of the arcade cabinets are original. What a nostalgic rush that is to play on the same exact arcade cabinets as I did as a kid in the 80?s & 90?s ! And if you want to enjoy an adult beverage you won't be disappointed either. They always have something new to try with their wide selection of craft b

Lots of great, classic games to play! Huge drink selection, I wish they sold snacks too. Looks like you can bring food in with you, just no outside drinks. Get there early to get a good parking spot.

So glad we found this hidden gem while visiting. Such an amazing concept for those of us that long for that nostalgia of old games we played growing up. I love that they have a great craft beer selection along with it.

Radbar is sick. I was recommended to check it out a little over a year ago when I visited RadJunk, i finally got around to it for my friend's birthday. I like the drink selection a lot, I got the irish creme stout and it was sick. lots of fun beverages in general. Game selection was alright when I went, i am sure that they rotate, though. My only hangup is that there is no couch or lounge area, it's all high tops. But i get it, there isn't too much room.

That place was a lot of fun $10 to play all night is great plus the drinks prices were very reasonable. Everyone in there including the staff was very nice. They also have the 10 person killer queen game which is a lot of fun

I've been here several times over the past few years. They have a great selection of vintage arcade games and some stellar modern pinball machines. They do a good job bringing new games in so it's usually updated from the last visit. Beer selection is on point- whoever picks out the games and beer has great taste. I was shocked how clean the bathrooms were. Staff was friendly. Fort Walton is lucky to have a great small business like this!

Great way to blow off steam for a few hours without breaking the bank. If you were an arcade kid in the 80s or 90s, or even want to share that same experience with the next generation this is a great place to do it.

Great place to relax and play some great games. Cover is cheap, you can play from the classic greats to smash bros, and enjoy some great drinks to boot.

I come every Thursday and Saturday, it's such a great time and the staff is super friendly, we do pinball club every Thursday and it's my favorite part of the week

One of the most fun and relaxed spots in Fort Walton. All you can game for $10!

Best Place thing to happen to Fort Walton in a very long time! Amazing games and great beer selection. You get to be a kid again without the supervision of grown ups! Can't wait to watch this place grow as the years go on!

Super cool retro arcade with some console action, too. An inexpensive wristband gets you unlimited play. A bar and food truck gave the final touches to a fun atmosphere. The place was hopping with folks, even a tournament. Highly recommend.

Nostalgia is the first word that comes to mind. The staff is super friendly and there is alot of beer selection. The music is also really good!! Highly recommend. The games are also super fun!!

Man, these guys keep it clean and safe for everyone. Have a great time every time I go there. The selection of games can span any age, and the selection of drinks will ensure any age has fun. From Capri sun to adult beverages. Make sure you check it out.

Lots of kids during the day. Great staff and fun games.

Great vibe here, staff are very kind and quick to help. Enjoyable any day of the week, it's normally not super crowded so you can get on the game you like at some point. Best in the evening when kids aren't allowed (after 9 I think) Drinks aren't too overpriced. Only downside is a few of the games have some slight function issues but for the most part it's great!

Fun hole-in-the-wall in FWB. Tucked away near Uptown Station and Popeyes, it's easy to get to without the hassle of being on the main road. With a $10 entry wristband that covers the cost of all of your games, even just a few runs on House of the Dead, Pinball, or Killer Queen makes it a great deal. All drinks are bottled and canned and opened by the bartender in front of you, a plus for anyone vigilant about their drink safety. Selection of drinks ranges from cheap tried and trues to off the wall local, se

Awesome atmosphere, good variety of games, and lots of craft beer options!! We had a blast and will defiantly be back!

We had an absolute blast!! Thank you so much for a fun evening!!! Will definitely be going again very soon!!!

Incredible throwback experience! Very good vibe. Pay one price. Play as long as you want! Very chill. Friendly staff. Will be making this a thing.

Freaking love it here. Cooler than any other arcade bar I've visited and the people are way better. It's near fast food, always has racecars in the parkinglot, a LOT of games, great beer selection, and prices for everything are unbeatable. About an hour drive from me and still very worth it. If you hate RadBar, you're probably a "nice guy", incel, and keyboard warrior. You can't change my mind.

Great place to get a drink and play games! The cover fee was a steal for unlimited free play games, and they have a huge selection of drinks that are all affordable. The staff is friendly and welcoming

We come here for a few different occasions every year and each time we are greeted with a smile. After showing our IDs we go grab some beer and have a great time. Never have been disappointed. The owners definitely take a lot of pride. We LOVE Radbar!

Chill atmosphere; Hidden lounge; 18+ after 9pm; $10 to play for the whole day (leave & return) again admission good for the day. There aren't any chaperone options. Understandably so. Once you are admitted you have free play to a variety of game consoles to the traditional arcade style games & pinball machines. Not a large mall arcade, however they have a bar & concessions menu. I would only encourage the bar to keep up with the Street Fighter arcades. ???? Overall great job & big Shouts to local small bu

Such a fun place! $10 cover and you get to play all the games. Seriously such a good deal. Great drink selection too. Love that they have so many cider options as my partner is allergic to beer. Will be back!

Always a great way to enjoy a couple hours with the kids. The staff is always great and their business model is top notch.

Rad Bar is a total game-changer and a fantastic spot for anyone looking for fun and a great atmosphere. Not only does it brilliantly blend arcade games with an awesome selection of drinks, but the bartenders are also super informative and always ready to recommend something new. Arlene and Meg, in particular, make you feel right at home and are never rude. The place has a vibe that makes everyone feel like family. They host some really unique events too, like ?Halloween in March? and an ?80s prom night. Plu

Like a relaxed arcade that serves beer has all the good classics and pinball? This is your place 100% my favorite spot in FWB if you haven't been already you're missing out.

Went here with family and friends, and everyone was extremely kind. Even randoms helped explain game rules when we were clueless. The atmosphere is amazing. Being a bar there was 0 weird drunks. Which is nothing but a plus. The game selection was awesome. For $10 this is money well spent. Plus the selection of games was perfect. Highly reccomend and absolutely worth the 25 mile commute. Give this place a try ??

This Place is Awesome! We always make it a point to stop by when in town.

Awesome place for a chill hangout....my kids loved the games and I loved the beer Selection. Staff was awesome and friendly. We had a great time and I'm sure I'll be back soon!

Rad Bar is awesome! Great classic games and the local/family friendly atmosphere is amazing! Arlene was super sweet and gave a great rundown of all the beers! Beer selection is an awesome bonus for parents! Great time for family fun!

This arcade is SO FUN! I love the concept of paying at the door and not having to worry about tickets or tokens for games, once you pay at the door it's unlimited games inside. They have a great selection, and the atmosphere is cool. They also have a good selection of drinks.

There were two ladies working tonight and they were both excellent. Attentive and helpful. I like pinball machines specifically and they had quite a few there. Drinks are canned beer and cider, but a great selection. Prices were reasonable. Definitely would go back.

Amazing experience, even for kids. Lots of fun games, with several unique tiltles, nice drinks, and overall a fun place to be! Also, after paying for entry you don't have to worry about anything like tokens, as all the games are on free play mode. Only thing to remember is kids are only allowed before 9p.m. Can't wait to see where this place goes in the future, and can't recommend this place enough.

Great experience! They were exactly where my maps app said they would be. Family and kids friendly, we didn't stay past 9pm to know if it remains the same. We stayed from 6pm-9pm having an unlimited gaming experience on some really cool older games. They even had several console games hooked up on large TV's where groups of people were playing different games. I would definitely pick this place over VReality.

Name says it all! Joe, Sam and the RadBar crew are doing really Rad things!

$10 all you can play all night. I mean, that's hard to beat on its own. But you add in a weekly updating drink menu and the best bar staff in town, and it always makes for a great night. My #1 spot in town that I recommend to anyone and everyone.

Rad Bar is a local retro video game bar offers a nostalgic escape for gamers of all ages. The atmosphere is rad by its classic arcade games and a wide selection of retro consoles, creating a gaming haven that pays homage to the golden age of video games. The bar menu features craft beers, providing the perfect fuel for an evening of pixelated adventures. With its friendly staff, this retro gem proves to be a delightful blend of nostalgia and contemporary fun, making it a must-visit spot for both gaming enth

Great place for some classic gaming and beer. The selection isn't huge, but the variety is interesting.

Best bar in Okaloosa county! The girls are super nice, call you by name and remember what you drink if you have a regular. They'll do their best to accommodate your needs (they gave me some aspirin tonight for my headache ??). Wouldn't drink anywhere else outside of my house.

The video game selection is fair, but there's tons to do for the entry fee

$10 free play and $2 PBR, pretty rad.

Cost us $10 a person to get in, and all the games were very well maintained! It's a small place, but it's out of the way enough that it wasn't packed. Drinks were a little pricy, but there was a great beer selection! A good time for kids and adults alike.

I didn't get any food while I visited. There are so many arcade games. You pay to get in, and then the arcades are free to play. They have N64, Wii, PS4, and Xbox. There was this Bee game that was really popular in the middle of the room. I didn't get to play it but looked very interesting. In a couple of hours, you get your fill of playing. They give you an arm band so you might can leave then come back later. If that's accurate, that's pretty awesome.

In town for a baseball tournament and took the kids here just to check it out. Cool atmosphere and a lot of retro arcades and pinball machines. Played a lot of games I haven't played since I was a kid

Cool retro video game bar. You pay $10 to enter and play all you want until they close. Drinks are the only thing you pay for. They have pinball machines, old school standing arcade games, and every video Gane system you can imagine. Wish we had one of these in Crestview!! (*hint hints- *wink wink)

My husband and I really enjoy going. It has games for everyone and of course they have a bit extra to cater to the older crowd. My husband and I enjoy a nice beverage and play games and my son fills up on junk food and soda and bounces from game to game.

Most amazing and unique experience I have ever had! The man who thought arcade games and alcohol would go hand-in-hand together it's a genius! They have an amazing selection of drinks and it's always changing. Plus a super fun and Hot staff (except Joe, he is good looking but not hot. Needs to show more skin) and they also hold events like Halloween in March and 80s prom! I highly recommend Rad Bar! Whether you love gaming or just a great place to hang out go to rad bar right now! Also Lia is a badass

Favorite place to go in town these days! Early in the night, it's family friendly. Excellent selection of beers and $1 sodas for the kiddos. Game variety will satisfy your nostalgia or you can play modern console games on the bigger screens. Music is always on point. Place is clean and games are very well maintained. The four-person cabinet is 100% the greatest - I actually had the opportunity to beat The Simpsons, which my teenage self never would've had enough quarters for. Best thing to happen to Fort

Old machines and about 20% didn't work. Also a very small place.

My son and I went there at 2pm today and just got home. So much fun! It's such a cool spot and something fort walton needs for sure! They have so many great old school arcade games I felt like a kid again. I just wish they had paperboy!

not my first time here, but the first time i brought all 3 kids to experience the fun with me, and they had a BLAST!!! 6y/o daughter, 12 & 15y/o sons! all three had plenty to do and kid friendly soda/drink options. never once heard im bored. staff was amazing, helpful, and friendly as always making this an awesome trip out of the house for entertainment. SOOOOOOO MANY awesome games, new/old/unique/systems/cabnets... they had it all! And lets not forget to mention its only $10 at the door for UNLIMITED GAME

$10 bucks to get in to play all the arcade, pinball, and console games you want. You can't beat that. They even have a Killer Queen, 10 person arcade. Seems like a good place for workcenter comradery. They have quite a large UNIQUE selection of craft beers. Awesome laid back spot for the gamer in us.

Only arcade bar in Fort Walton/surrounding areas but no liquor, one bathroom, not many arcade games. Good selection of beers and very knowledgeable and friendly staff to assist in selecting. It was cool they had old game consoles like N64 and WII but that was probably the main focal point of this place. I would like to see more action games like basketball and skeeball or mini bowling. AC air ventilation worked very well and bathroom was very clean. Would also like to see more two player games.

The Rad Bar is what I'm looking for in an arcade. There was pin ball, pac man, baseball, driving games, any arcade you could ask for. You play unlimited for 10 dollars. This is worth driving to I'd you love arcade games. It's pretty loud inside from screaming teenagers playing games, but after 9, you must be over 21 to be. After that it's much more manageable.

This place is so freaking cool

Been to a few arcade bars, this one was okay. Beers were SUPER expensive. Their selection of beer was huge though. Their choices of games were limited. Only a few pinball machines, repeated over and over Pac-Man. Lots of typical consoles. Small small space. They do allow you to leave and come back so you can do that if you wish.

Truly a special, one of a kind place. They have 12oz cans of Jai Alai! The moment you walk in you will be treated like family. The owners are super dope. Every single staff member is utterly amazing and unique. Hands down the best group of peeps you'll find anywhere. The regulars there are cool af and super chill. They sell Jaee Allahee! It's only lacking a Turbo Grafx-16 mini and a Mark of the Wolves cabinet. Otherwise great selection of new and old video games and pins. Cannot not recommend a better place

Kinda sketchy looking on the outside, but fun and inviting on the inside. Definitely check this place out. Had a blast and stayed till close without realizing how late it got. Best new hangout in Fort Walton by far. Great selection of old classic arcade games as well as new console games.

We went here last night. The staff was friendly. The drink selection was plentiful. There were many classic, modern, and unique arcade games to play. We had a great time here.

Inadvertently attended the 90s Prom, and our group of friends were so glad that we did. Had a great time! Wonderful selection of craft beer and seltzers. Nostalgic. I had not played Initial D for a very long time. We'll be back!

Wow! $10 all you can play pinball, good beer/cider menu, plus a great fun/safe atmosphere that is generally family friendly! I would very highly recommend this place and plan to come back whenever I'm in the area.

I love the atmosphere. If you're into the old arcade style, this is a great place. Lots of retro stuff and the $10 cover price is awesome, play as much as you want without tokens or coins.

One of my favorite spots in Fort Walton Beach! The staff is very friendly and they always have the best selection of craft beers! Their beer prices are some of the best in town too! Inviting, safe, and fun!

The variety of beer and game selection here is top knotch. Definitely the best arcade in the local area.

A cool place to hang out and play some arcade games. There's not another arcade within a hour and while it's a little small, the staff is friendly and the games are fun. I don't drink but the drink prices were pretty reasonable for a bar atmosphere.

I loved this place! Just wish there were more games! Absolutely loved the old school gaming systems set up though! Beer selection was awesome too and everyone was super friendly! Good vibes!

Chill place, good selection of games, but if you're a psychotic retro game nerd like me you might be disappointed in some of their cabinets. I would kill for a chance to play Outrun in all its 80s glory... Also they've yet to get their liquor license, so you'll either have to settle for "pre-gaming" or $4 craft beers. That's probably for the better though - don't want vomit on the Street Fighter III cab and all that. This is a place you have to visit at least once.

It may not look all that from the outside but this place is so much fun! A great experience all around. Ive never had a good experience showing my ID but they were totally cool and talked about DND with us! There are lots of classic arcade games and consoles (PS4, Wii, Nintendo 64, Game cube, etc). Their bar is entirely bottled and pretty small which doesn't matter to me since I don't drink, but the atmosphere and games definitely make up for it. Definitely a chill atmosphere, without any pressure of a nor

Why this place has less than 5 stars is beyond me. First time I went there, and everyone from staff to customers, to the all around environment is absolutely wonderful. Not particularly a fan of fighting SNES, Gamecube, and super retro games of that type. But they had exactly what I wanted. Racing games. And do they have the best of those. If you are looking for a bar or hangout spot for you and your friends, or even o make new friends, this is definitely the spot. 100% will be coming back frequently. Even

Solid meh. Not a bad place to go, but not too many games and (if you don't like IPAs) not many drink options. Still a fun night out, just not an every weekend kind of place.

After living in LA for four years I was pretty bummed to move home to Destin where there's no bars that really stand out. Then Rad Bar opened! Arcade bars are my absolute favorite and this one honestly is better than some of the ones I went to in California! The selection of games and different craft beers are awesome, and the owners/staff really make you feel comfortable and welcomed!

Super cool place with loads of video games, pin ball machines, arcade games as well as driving games. 10 bucks gets you all the play your heart desires. They also serve beer and after 9pm is adult time ;)

If you are into gaming and want to have a drink this is the place! Had a pretty good choice in beer (no liquor) and the prices varied. They offer pinball as well as retro games. They also have choices for Nintendo, SNES as well as 64.

So back in my day I used to say rad so I thought it was a good place for my 76th birthday party come to find out that you can't. So I had my birthday party all set up and they told me to take it all down. So I went to the manager and complained and they said because I didn't ask first I wasn't allowed to like I'm 36 bro come at me. So then why 59th birthday was ruined. Guess I'll have to come back for my 21. But very nice place 4 stars.

Great place to stop and grab drinks and chill. They rebuilt it and it's better than ever. Me and my family biked down and hung out for a few hours and loved every minute of it. If you like Bloody Mary's they have one that's out of this world!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pinball tables still good in this modern age?

Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.

Are retro games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.

Are rhythm games in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, rhythm games in arcades are a vibrant hit in 2025! Titles like Dance Dance Revolution and Beatmania deliver high-energy fun, blending music, movement, and precision.
