Luis was super chill plus he makes the best cosmos in the area. Super friendly, relaxed environment ordered the wings, fries and jalape?o poppers A++ we will be back
No doubt pretty cool spot to play some arcades and pinball. Not gonna lie pinball machines aren't the old school versions they the new ones not as exciting as old. Then again times have changed. Tacos was meh not bad but nothing great either. Big screen Pac Man super fun, didn't have that back in the day.?? Definitely will go back try some other items on the menu. Staff is friendly. I had fun ??
This bar is too much fun! I love the nostalgic feel from the decor, the arcade games, and the music. We went on a Friday and the vibes were fantastic! The DJ just knew what our favorite music was and he kept us dancing all night!
A very unique experience. The music was awesome and the atmosphere was electric and fun. My husband was able to grab a cold beer while my daughter and I played some old and new arcade games. The only call out I have is that some of the games are broken or just take your coins. Also we witnessed an older woman trip and fall on the light up pad floor. I think some watch your step signs should be provided. She was so embarrassed that she left. Overall this was a fun place to visit on our trip. The picture
So much fun! This was a great place to hang out for a small crowd of people that either want to drink, eat, or just have fun! This was another stop in El Paso that had some wonderful Instagram photo opportunities! Another air hockey table would've been cool for a tournament with friends. Also, a really date night spot to check otu!
One of the best places in the west side with a great atmosphere. They always have really good music playing. There staff is always exemplary one of the managers Luis always goes above and beyond to give good service and good vibes.
I came a few times and I will only show up on the days Luis is working. He makes sure I'm taking care and his skills are A+. I'm new to El Paso and it's nice to find a place to hangout and receive good service. They definitely need more bartenders like him.
Fun arcade bar with great atmosphere thats well themed, decorated, and includes some of the most popular arcade and pinball machines from the 80's and 90's. Rubiks has a very nice bar area with plenty of liquor and beer options at good prices along with a kitchen and decent sized food menu in the back of the bar. The arcade games are a little over priced in my opinion and some of them could use a little work but it's a fun experience, especially if you like pinball machines. The atmosphere definitely gives
We had the absolute BEST experience celebrating our daughter?s 5th birthday at Rubiks. The staff went above and beyond to make the party special for our daughter and provide a fun and family oriented experience for everyone. Our daughter?s friend left saying, ?this was the best day ever,? and we completely agree. We spent the party eating delicious pizza, playing games on the dance floor, and playing arcade games. We can't wait to go back!
Amazing spot. So much fun! I'm not a video game type of person but love the games. I could be here all day! Drinks are very good & I recommend the mango ?? Moscow Mules! Nachos were bomb. Dance floor lights up! Lighting and music is perfect ?????? Backroom is for more of a social gathering with lower music volume. Lots of parking. Mondays are very chill. Hot guys and girls chilling around the bar area. Bartender is great and very attentive.
This place is fun, everything from the ?80s & ?90s nostalgic decor, all the arcade games, pinball, air hockey, darts and pool. The bathrooms are clean, the bartenders are nice, and the karaoke is super fun! They have different things going on depending on what he say of the week. Check out their Instagram or Facebook to see exactly what. They do have drink specials, and they also have a kitchen serving yummy food if you get hungry. The weekends are usually packed and they check ID but during the day you se
Actual token arcade! Food is good but I want a vegetarian option that isn't cheese pizza. Everything is so cool here and my son loves the pinball machines. Beer on tap, knowledgeable cooks & bartenders.
Cool concept, A lot of interesting things to see in here and a few games as well. It's not kept up well (cleanliness) but not overly disgusting. Just seems a little ran down. Great place to grab a few beers, something to eat and kill some time playing some games.
Great music, awesome energy and vibes. This spot is chill and laid back. There are a variety of things to do...you can play games, dance, sit at the bar, eat good food. It's a great place to come single or as a couple.
Super nice staff Miguel and Luis always welcome us great they are the reason we keep on going they have great customer service! They even know what my husband and I drink they are always on top of asking how we are doing or if we need anything ??
Absolutely amazing experience here tonight! We will definitely be back. The food was phonomenal! The DJ had the perfect mix for the venue. And the staff was very friendly. Definitely the most fun I've had in a long time!
Didn't stay too long this time, but I had fun playing games with my friends. They got some pretty tasty drinks while we were here (Tron= blue Curacao and coconut rum).
This place is cool. I visited while I was on a cross country road trip one late evening. Chill vibe and some cool retro gaming and a couple bar box pool tables
we stopped in for a quick visit. it is worth the trip just to see the inside of this place. my kiddo played a few games , i tried a cocktail, everything was nice. nothing bad to report
Always a blast even better with their specials like on Thursday's for example but overall the food is a great thing to share especially if you might have eaten out already or might go out to eat after. The games are awesome. Sometimes you might find one or two a bit wonky but they honestly do their best to repair or change em up if they aren't working. A fun experience for sure. I recommend passing by if you're in town. Remember to have cash on you so you can get tokens. $20 for a group of 3 is not too bad
Music was lame and we had to wait so long to get a menu for food. Drinks and the bartender we had was fabulous. Seating is limited you basically had to steal a chair from under someone to sit. But bruh it took them 2hrs to get me my food ( i ordered chicken fingers). We came there for food and drinks. My friend ordered us the loaded fries with brisket,no where on the menu did it mention it was spicy and well and we got sick the next day too. Also security needs to do a better job at checking people's person
It was a cool experience. It's adults only after 9pm. It's like a adult Chucky Cheese/DB with less games and a dance floor. Has a lot of games from the 90s. They have a bunch of signature cocktails and drinks. Fun chill place to be a kid again but the adult version.
Everything inside the building was great, and the arcades were fun. My best friend and I had a wonderful time overall. This was my first visit here. However, when we decided to eat at the restaurant, we had a frustrating experience with the server. I waited a long time for a drink refill, feeling extremely thirsty. I even waved at the server, and she acknowledged me, saying ?okay.? But after that, I had to wait almost 20 more minutes before she finally came to refill my drink. I ended up having to pause ea
They had a DJ on the Friday we were there. I thought the DJ would play 80's music to go with the theme of the place but it was EDM. Not my choice of music.
Clean, great service, very fun place to have fun. My kids love it too friendly and a welcoming environment.
Nostalgic and fun joint. Staff is kind, but it would be better if they were a bit more attentive to the folks sitting at the tables. Otherwise, a solid outing.
The Bar itself was pretty laid back. Our favorite part has to be Karaoke, everyone was killing it !! The food was great too .
80s! All the great throwback games. The Mortal Kombat series, Ninja turtle, NBA jam and more. Quarter play at 50cents a game. To compare one other I been would be that the theme and game selection is legit, but the other seems more successful by having more food options and beer selection which resulted with free play and or cheeper play. Overall Rubik's is a legit place to play old arcade and pinball games.
Great for playing l arcades and having a drink. Most games are a quarter. No food served here. Fun atmosphere!
I've been a regular of this place basically since its' opened and I've always enjoyed it. This review is toward the bartender today Monday, Dec. 2, 2024 at 2p.m. and NOT my beloved Rad! My bf and I have been craving their pizza for some time and I was excited to go for their Monday pizza deal, which we've been enjoying a few Mondays already (don't judge, they're delicious!) Well, we saw that they opened at 2 and we walked in no later than 2:03. We ordered the pizza probably 2 minutes later. We sat at the b
Visited today for the first time. Most of the machines are sticky, warn or broken. Tried nearly every game there. It was an overall disappointing experience.
Rubiks was awesome! If you are an 80s/90s baby, this place is for you! The staff was very fast and helpful, the atmosphere was great, filled with a lot of arcade and modern games, and the pizza was really good. Bring cash if you are looking to play games, as they only take cash for game tokens, but they do have an ATM on site. Overall, I recommend spending some time here!
Fun atmosphere, normal parking for a city bar near university+ highly recommend Mad Hatters!!
What a fantastic place! Unknowingly arrived on Trivia Night and it was a blast! Thank you for all the fun!!! I'd go here all the time if I lived in Texas!
Haven't tried the food. Seems to me the service sound good. I go there mainly to play my favorite arcade game and I seem to always get the high score. My initials JAB. Can anyone beat me?
Very small and cute bar for the most part. Pros: 1. Cheap drinks 2. 25 cent games Cons: 1. Drinks are subpar 2. Most games need repairs
I love this place!! Friendly atmosphere and very attentive staff?? Love yall! Nichole and Jenny truly show they care about their work ethic and care about their customers?? all the bartenders there were so cool to me. Definitely will comeback ??
Rubiks had my heart on the East side but we ventured to the West side on Mesa to see Joe Dorgan mix some tunes for the 80's party. This place is filled with isles of vintage and modern video games. It's fantastic! Old school favorites in arcade style forums to pin ball and new electric machines, sit inside games, it's all there! There's a full bar in the middle, sit space to munch on a fun game themed menu. Special drinks like - Talk Nerdy To Me - include candy to keep them child in you alive, like Nerds,
Couple of years ago all the games worked and it was fun. Still very fun but half the games don't work correctly which interrupts the fun. Drinks are cheap compared to other areas in el also so that's a major plus. Good place to go hang out with friends if you are visiting from out of town. Make sure you get quarters from the machine before you start your fun or try the karaoke.
Pretty cool as a bar. Good 90's and 80's music playing, themed drinks, prices okay. As arcade, not so much, the retro games hidden in a sad dirty looking backroom with most of them broken or unplugged.
I enjoyed the drinks that I had and some of the food I tasted. The only problem was the games. Some of them would take your money because they did not work. I did get my money back by the bartender but it became annoying after a while. I'm sure it was annoying for the bartender as well. The Pacman game did not work either because the red packman would not move up or down just side ways. I would tell people to go because of the atmosphere but for the games be careful. I was lucky to have a bartender that tru
If you enjoy pinball tables, retro v arcade game machines, 80s music, and adult beverages, you're in luck. You'll want to drop in here to satisfy your gaming urges while enjoying a beer or cocktail. Live DJ spinning the classic hits on the weekends which is far more entertaining than the bias playlist from the Hope and Anchor manager across the street. Heads up, this is not a sports bar so if you wanted to watch a game and order some wings, you'll need to go elsewhere. Tight parking lot fills up fast on wee
This bar is really cool, I don't know if they do any thirsty Thursday specials or not, but they got a butt load of cool games, the place could use better decoration, if they had more classic arcade decor and painted donkey Kong on the walls and such I think it'd be better but it's still awesome. I always have a blast when I go there, but some machines are in dire need of some TLC the Mario kart game for example I couldn't link up because my multi player link button actually came out of socket. Some of the
Nice clean, well run place. Drinks are rather pricey though. $40 for 3 double shot drinks. Overall great atmosphere though.
This place used to be called Rubrik and then went through a name change (probably trademark infringement). After it became Rad, I visited only to find that the majority of the 80s arcade had been taken out and replaced with carnival style games ??. The few arcade machines that were left were the least popular or were turned off. Stayed for one drink and left.
We love Rad! Our kiddos like to go play and we get to have a few drinks while they enjoy their time. It's fun for all of us!
My husband and I came on a date and had a great time. Wanted to really love this place but there are a few issues I think need to be addressed in order to create a better experience. 1. There needs to be better maintenance on the machines. Many of the machines have broken joysticks and you are not able to actually play and enjoy the game the way you would like. On a few of the older machines the CRT monitors were so burned out you couldn't read text or really see the games well. 2. The music was SO loud.
Loved this place! What a nostalgic feel good place! It was my first time there. I went for the games.... And stayed for..... THE GAMES. :) Staff was friendly, dj was funny and I will be bringing my A game for Mario Kart Monday Marathon!
Wow! Such a unique spot! We had a blast. Drinks and service were top notch!
Service last night was amazing! Music was a 3.5. only game not working was the Star Wars simulator. Super fun totally a good time!
It's fun to bring your kids to the arcade. My son had a blast. We'll be coming back!
I wasn't impressed with the experience there. The service was slow, prices for drinks were high for what you get, and the food wasn't all that great. I could think of other adult arcades I've been to that are more entertaining for the price
It was karaoke night at the bar, they play 80's and 90s music. It was a blast
Ever since Rubiks rebranded into RAD. A selection of old arcade machines were moved to the location in Las Cruces. The remaining arcade machines have been suffering from warped screens (Dig Dug and Pac-Man especially), which negatively affects the play experience. The Galaga machine had its original ROM replaced with a Multicade that is mostly unplayable because Galaga only has a 2-directional joystick. Overall, the arcade section of the bar has become a shell of what it used to be.
Arcade games, cool paintings on the wall, drinks! Smells clean when we walked in. Fun and good place to hang out at!
All the games are broken and stole most of our money not the same old rad we loved and bartender didn't even know what a Paloma was
Fun place. Decent food. Service was on point. Thanks!
Great games with a retro atmosphere. Highly recommend
The music is good the food is great and the staff is awesome!!!
Honestly a great little arcade and bar. I love pinball and they had so many great machines lined up! It's great for people who are looking for those older arcade games like Galaga, PacMan, Mario, Donkey Kong, and those games don't cost very much! Their drinks are also delicious! I highly recommend the Tron! And the loaded fries are great!
So the drinks are about average priced, but they do have some neat special drinks to try. The games all work for the most part ND seem to be maintained. If a game doesn't work though they do reimburse your tokens. The food is good but of course overpriced in my opinion for a barcade. The pinball machines are super fun though if you're into that. They have some good games to play with your dates as well.
The last time I was at this place, it was about two years ago. Back then, they had rows and rows of classic arcade games, and it was fun. Today, I went in there wanting to check out some classic games, only to find out they they took most of them out and replaced them with modern arcade games. These are the kinds of games you'd find at Dave & Busters. Sure, there are a few classic games left, but they don't work all that well. The screen is yellowed, the controls are loose, and two of them ate my tokens. I
After discovering another entertainment business had a 4 hour wait to get in, we moved my birthday celebration to Rubiks. They have an awesome variety of old school arcade games. $5-$10 will get you plenty of tokens for game play. Bartenders were very attentive. Everything is clean and well taken care of. I wish there were some more seating options, but besides that we had a great experience.
I would honestly make the drive to the east side! Just a whole lot better experience! My experience on the west side was pretty bad the bartenders wouldn't pay attention to us! If anything it took my group like 30 minutes to get all of our orders in keeping in mind it was only three orders!
Had fun playing trivia, and the prizes were great. It's just like an old arcade, except it has a bar.
What a fun place! Harkens back to the 1980's where standup arcade machines ruled the world! They've got all the classics and the new ones too. Love the patio bar and the pinball machines. Great service and bartenders. Great place to meet friends and play.
Great place for pinball and other arcade games. Fast service at the bar as well.
The food here looked great but we didn't eat here. Their menus look rad as they look like calenders. Lots of old retro games and 80s memorabilia. Absolutely loved this place and the old games like Frogger and Digdug
This place has great potential. The atmosphere is nostalgic. The arcade games and pinball can really take you back to your childhood. The food was not the best and the lighting didn't really help. It's hard to get the bartender to notice you as they walk around the bar. We had to keep moving so we could get her attention.
I had a blast. Will definitely go back again. They didn't have food when I went, but the drinks were really good. The service was great and the games gave me childhood nostalgia.
Great place to have a couple of drinks. Better experience with friends or someone to hangout with. Bar tenders are attentive to insure you and your party are taken care of. Many retro games to enjoy. It's good they keep the place interesting by having trivia night as well as karaoke on Wednesday. If you're bored and have nothing to do at night, might as well visit.
Truly a gamer's chill spot. The inside of this place is filled with wondrous arcade machines, both old and new. It might be a little cramped for a group of four amigos, but that's alright. You'll definitely hear some good tunes when you get in there, from old school rap to the modern electronic genre. The bartenders are very welcoming; soon as you enter the doorway, they greet you positively. Drinks are pretty good for a good time. The food I rate (personally) a 5/10, no hate but just not all that great.
What an amazing place to reminisce and enjoy the good old times. It's like going back to the 80s and staying there. Great selection of beers, plenty of drinks to choose from and the appetizers are delicious. The staff is always friendly and very quick. The arcade machine variety is stunning and all the great titles are there. Definitely a place to visit for that retro arcade nostalgia.
Visited Rubiks several times with my brother and I love it!! Even when the place is slow it maintains a fun atmosphere with its arcade and various events happening every week. My favorite games have to be the pool table, and the classic games they offer like Mortal Combat, Packman, Mario. It's run as a standard bar but their dedication to the pop culture themes make it exciting! The food menu is simple but done right, food from what I've had is tasty and appealing. The atmosphere they create makes it easy t
Miguel is the bar tender to see great service good vibes and music was worth it
I love this place. Games are awesome. Staff is awesome. Very friendly. If you have an issue with a game, they fix it immediately. Love the fact that games are mostly a quarter and pinball is only 50 cents. Have been to other arcade bars around the country and pinball is usually a dollar sometimes 2.00. Will be back very soon. A very unique bar experience in El Paso. Great Games, Great Drinks and spacious. Awesome 5 stars!!!
Really like the variety of arcade games. All our favorites from back in the day and more. Drinks were really good and appreciated drink specials. Self serve water was nice & cold. The whole facility was decorated with throw backs from the 80's. Plus, it was nice & clean. The only draw back was no kitchen, but they do allow you to order food & eat there at the tables provided.
We went to El Paso to visit family and stopped at Rubiks. We had a blast with our cousins!! Karaoke was a blast. Would recommend for sure. The only thing I would of liked is to be able to get drinks quicker. There is only one bar area and you will have to wait a while to get drinks.
Awesome place. Lots of fun never a dull moment. Free to get in but you have to pay to play all the games. Cozy place with a few places to sit down besides the bar. One of the bartenders there doesn't know how to make a Long Island ice tea. Definitely needs to read up on his drinks. All around enjoyed my time there.
Great Service, Great Drinks, Good Prices
Pizza taste like the original Peter Pipper. OMG! Delicious, thank you. ????
Literally one of the best places to hang out in El Paso
This place really cool and the fact you guys have a ddr machine makes my experience even better.
Great place during the daylight hours! Has a home feel for a guy who lives on the other side of America. The bar tenders and staff are awesome .. Shandy , Nicole and Tye are the best in town! Matt is a great manager. I'm not from El Paso and I know all these people. That's should tell you how welcoming this place is for everyone.
It's a nice place, lots of machines but if you're part of the lgbtq+ community you won't feel welcomed. The owner spends time at the bar and me and my girlfriend have gotten nasty looks from him specifically. Also when asking if there will be pride events for June there was no response and a laughing reaction. It's just not worth spending my money at a place that isn't welcoming.
The arcade was a pleasant experience, I ordered the Rubik snack pack, and for the price it was extremely disappointing. Once I received it I was almost in disbelief that I get a few chips with a spoon of cheese and a couple bits of meat. For like $8. So, the arcade is a nice experience but the food, underwhelming to say the least.
It's so much cooler looking! They remodeled and it's really cool! During the day you can bring kiddos! There aren't as many old school arcade games anymore. But still really cool
Very interesting place to go back to 80's/90's, drinks are good and accessible. They have arcade machines and karaoke, the decorations are just awesome. This place took me back to my adolescence. They have karaoke nights and it's pretty fun.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
