Customer Reviews

Today is my granddaughter birthday. We where 4 kids and 6 adults. They denied us to enjoy our selves in their establishment because more than 7 people is concerned a party and that we should of rented the room. When I spoked to tge manager the other day he said that they had no time available for today due to other parties that where going to be going on. But he said that we can use a table from the outside and enjoy a day of game playing. Also that we can get a pie of pizza and drink for $25. But when we g

I remember coming here when I was younger. Glad I can bring my own kids to have fun and enjoy themselves. Place has a bouncy house, pool tables and many arcade games. All games have been updated and lots of fun. Kids had a blast

We have been partners with them since March of 2022, they have been easy to work with and our passholders love the Fun Center - GetOutPass

It's been a while but they have enlarged the place good for children and adults to have a goid time playing

A lot of fun with the family. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest, but it was a great time and the gentleman running the place was fantastic and patient with my kids.

This place is very affordable birthday package wise compared to others. The games Are pricey and there were wanderers from outside that walked in without children which was a safety concern for me. There needs to be security honestly. Then more and more people came off the street and sat in the front without reason- they didn't have children and didn't order food. The food isn't great but the man who runs everything really tries his best. They need more help.

The place is fun and you could bring your kids to have fun

Wow. Finding this place was an unexpected but welcome surprise. Maybe a little pricey, but if you can take advantage of a groupon or other promo offer, you won't be disappointed. Good, diverse selection of games and other diversions. We had to wait a little while for our turn to play Mario Kart, but no complaints - a good find in an area rife with terrible restaurants and dubious eating options. Next time, we'll stick to fast food and spend the difference here...

This place is honestly a hidden gem. Lots of great games and fun for the kids and great classic arcades for the adults. The pricing is super-fair and feels like an absolute steal compared to the bigger names. All the staff such as Jonathan S. are incredibly friendly and extra patient and kind with the kids. Our children beg to come here on days off and we are happy to oblige!

Its great pricing for food which is also homemade and not freezer food. Plus a good place for kids and adults to enjoy.

I just moved to the area, and we aren't very well off. We all know NJ is expensive even more so now with inflation and we wanted to bring my 9 y/o out for his birthday. Well let's just say we will be going back more often now bc the prices are well rounded, the staff are very helpful & nice, the atmosphere feels like home and there's a family dollar across the street! What more could you ask for. Even the food and drink prices were on point!

The place was bigger than expected. Better selection than I thought. There was parking. The guy running the place was AMAZING! I don't know if he was the owner BUT if he's not HE NEEDS A BIG RAISE! Crazy he was none stop. GREAT work ethics let me tell you. Awesome place for a kids party. Even had bouncy houses.

It was a decent place. Some machines are or at least look very old. Employees were not attentive. Should have been cleaner. We'd eaten before going, we didn't have the food. Old school Air Hockey was the favorite for sure and of course Skee Ball

Quite expensive, but machines are well maintained, it's cleaner (than a year ago), and it's still safe for my son.

I loved this place as a kiddo and still do now! The games were nice and the staff were absolutely amazing. I got my tickets stuck in the ticket machine one time because...well that's not important, but I got help right away. I felt really bad about it, but the person who helped me was very friendly and solved the problem quickly. It's hard winning anything other than rings and candy when your mom only has $10, but it was still fun! Oh, and if you're wondering about the food, I can't tell you because I never

This place has been my childhood, such a great place with great staff. People say that the place is too small but I think it's perfect to fit games. It's a fun place that I suggest people going to if they're ever bored, the one thing that I would like to suggest is more events soon! The events are really welcoming and fun, like the smash bros tournaments.

I do not know if the owner is still the same or what but the guy there today he was so so nice and welcoming. We ate there & I am surprised it is actually good does not taste like frozen food. My 4 year old ate all her chicken nuggets compared to other place that she does not eat past 1. Thank you for having this place open during these times when kids need to be out to have fun for a bit.

Friendly staff with awesome customer service! BUT I'm gonna be very honest.. this place is so ghetto and I got catfished by the pictures. Half of the game doesn't work properly and very grimy. Staff does best to keep this place clean and fun and even provide best customer service to the annoying customers but they need to update and fix a lot of stuff. I got groupon and it was good enough to keep me entertained for an hour before my next plan. But not going back...

This place holds a lot of good memories from my childhood. I used to go all the time and spend a good 2 hours here if not more. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. It's sad that I have to rate it 1 star, but it's necessary. The prices are ridiculously high now to the point where 4 dollars only lasts 4 games instead of the 10 or more games. It's sad to say but today will be the last time I ever step foot in there. I'd much rather make the trip to Dave and Busters at this point.

Definitely not going there again! Decided to take my nephew there for his birthday (turning 10) and it was a complete mess. The person who was supposed to help was rude whenever questions were asked and even left the store at one point for a good 10-15 minutes. One thing they did have that I liked a lot were some of the old school games that I grew up playing other than that not worth the visit.

This place might not look the greatest from the outside, but in the inside its very clean, cool staff, and a crazy amount of games. They have guitar hero, halo, mario kart, the walking dead, and a bunch of other racing games and things like that. Its really affordable too and this place is just really great. would 100% recommend

Rack N Roll Family Fun Center is felt like a place for the community in a small area at Passaic. The staffs member are really kind and most of the games they have are just fine, I always go there because they have StepManiaX (online) and the games I remember when I was young like ReRave, Dance Dance Revolution x3 vs. 2ndmix and Guitar Hero Arcade. The food they served is alright but hey, the ice cream cost cheaper than most theme park/arcade places. Only 1 problem is some of the games doesn't work well (The

Pros: Affordable / The two guys that were there when I went were cool , gave me 2 free games for a machine not working which also made me want to play more . Besides the kid loved it. Con: The bouncy house & kid ?area? needs a hard cleaning . Along with a good sanitize. Along with the guitars for the ?guitar hero? game. 5 stars once it's cleaned .

There is a lot of fun stuff for the kids. My fiancee and I went just to shoot pool. Prices were good, tables were in need of repair, but usable. It was pretty hot in there, the bathroom had no toilet paper or paper towels. An hour before closing, one of the employees was interrupting our game, vacuuming around our table. Then cleaning the bathroom with so much bleach that our eyes were burning. (Pool tables are right by bathroom).

4 and 5 star ratings are from friends and family. This place is terrible. Ok if you want to distract your kids for an hour. But highly over priced, game tickets are low and prices are high. Better going to Dave and busters in Willowbrook if you're up for the travel.

Their hour schedule say they open at 1 pm that was great until I got there at 1 wait for an hour outside in the heat and they never came to open until whoever knows what time because I left getting extremely sick in the heat. Over the years they Also got rid of the great games their leaving only shooting games and just basic things unlike before Really disappointed as a costumer for many years now

I had a lot of fun felt like a kid all over again..my family and I went there to celebrate my sister's 18th birthday. They have some really good game selections. One of my favorites is street fighter, classic!

I took my two small grandsons and they had a wonderful time. The two young men working there on Saturday morning were so pleasant and helpful. We plan to go again. Thank you!!

A fun little arcade. All machines run on cards. The prices were a little expensive, about a dollar per game. If you go at a certain time of day you will have to pay for parking. However, the games that they did have were pretty cool and good condition.

First of all, we'd like to thank Rack and Roll for letting us shoot our film there. It's a wonderful little arcade center that does small b-day parties for children and is just a nice place for people in that neighborhood to chill and hang out at. My only issue is that there is a huge problem with management. There is no proper communication between the staff that works there and the owners. This is not how you do management in business. If you provide a contract with me, or any kind of crew for production

Absolutely disgusting bathrooms are horrible smell even worse. GAMES ARE EXTREMELY OVER PRICED. ONE CARD $10 lucky if u get 5 games. And half the ganes are in chinese. Nothing is well taken care if here. The bonus this place has is being safe meaning right across from police station

They've switched over to the points system so now every game is even more expensive then before. It's a hole in the wall type of place good for casual gaming and hangout. Has potential to be a great arcade but lacks good management and the games are outdated

I always enjoy bringing my child here the staff members are nice the prices are nice my child and I are always having a very nice time there. Looking forward to having a birthday party for 8/2022.

While I was there the place got robbed!!! it was so terrifying, half the people didn't know what was going on. The worst part was that I was invited to a 5 year old birthday party and as parents and friends we had to scramble looking for the kids and putting them in the party area for safety. Never again!!

It was terrible the Soda was not good it tasted like water and the pizza was and cold and they paid EXTRA I'm not waisting my money on that cold Food HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED

Served it's purpose by entertaining the kids and the prices are reasonable. Needs more staff out on the floor to help service the customers. Overall the place is pretty decent.

This place has changes alot since the last time I visited. It's no longer coin operated like before you now have to use a card like in Chuck-E-Cheeses. The old air hockey table needs repair, it failed on me multiple times. The pool tables need to be fixed or replaced as well.

From classic TMNT game to ticket winning games and modern prizes including ps4. This is a great venue to host events with ample parking and concession stand offering good value meals.

Love this place when I was younger I kept bother my parents to be able to go here

Its small..and some of the games don't work..even the balls on the pool table kept getting stuck..but a good place if your trying to do something close to home..that's not that expensive..they use Groupon ??

I WISH I COULD GIVE HALF A STAR FOR THIS PLACE!!! THE LITTLE NASTY CASHIER NEED SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS SLAPPED ACROSS FACE! SHE WEARS GLASSES AND HAD 2 BRAIDS IN HER HAIR. VERY UNORGANIZED PLACE.

Initial D crashed but they gave me free games once it was back up. I hope it doesn't crash, one of the few places that still has initial D

Great fun it was clean they had hand sanitizer and when we were there during the morning it was empty practically had the place to ourselves

I came for Initial D Arcade 8 Infinity and was really disappointed. The steering wheel wasn't working well and the car would just stop time to time. The other Initial D arcade wasn't working as well. Service was terrible because one of the employees looked like she didn't care at all.

I been there a while ago, it's obviously fun for kids but it's dirty and smells pretty wierd also the back part is always so dark and cripy.

The guy whom work here it's rude. I was in the bathroom, then he knock the bathroom's door, I said it's busy, but he just open the door, almost come in to the bathroom and he told me in a rude way hurry up. That's not nice, I'm a customer so I deserve respect!!! ??

Gave a really nice experience to my kids.. generous with the tickets..would definitely recommend!

Had a lot of fun as usual!!! Staff were very accommodating, efficient and pleasant considering how busy they were with so many customers!!

Fun atmosphere. Staff is attentive. The building inside and out needs some updating but the games where fun.

I like it but it is expensive since they changed the system but I this like it because it is fun and you can pass a great time with your family there.Even though some games don't work

Great place to take my kids and have fun without going far. However it is always crowded.

Never specified that renting a pool table is rented per hour, another one said it was $5 per person. They might have lied about it, I don't know.

Great place for kids parties, also great attention to costumers.

I love Arcade Bowling new one because I enjoy it and have fun my favorite basketball the monkeys also.

A really fun place for the entire family. Plenty of parking. Plenty of games. Very cordial staff!

Very expensive games it will drain out ur wallet in no time Many of the games over there decive u to get more tickets but actually nothing but losing money .

Wish knew of this place sooner I would took my daughter there when 1 years old . But oh well now know so we go as can

This place needs to provide at least hand sanitizer around the place for the clients to use. Cause they don't have any and you are going from machine to machine.

What a cute place!! Everyone was so nice. Really affordable and fun. Will be back!

It was great a place were you can spend time with family and friends ??

A very fun place to play with your family and you earn points that you can use to win prices.

It's a really fun place for family members and tons of atcade games

Super small... Out dated and broken games..dirty and dark place... Wish i can get 0 stars

All games sre fun . Good amount of space && everyone around seems to enjoy itt

Nice local place for kids to have fun

Same games dont work properly but the place is great for casual entertainment

This a very good place to bring kids ??

First of all most of the games are rigged we spent 50 dollars on a dumb toy instead of here go to Dave n buster's or chuckie cheese

A little rustic and prices too high

Kids like this place lots of game to play.

Overprice but my 4yr old Daughter loves coming here

Not alot of games and some (like Pac man/Galaga) weren't working

My Kids love it and it beats the trip To Chucky Cheese!!

They wont fix the frickin DDR machines. I can't play DDR anywhere now, :(

Good place for fun and birthday party. Food is very oily here.

Ehhhh what can i said for a quick play for kids iight but services soo bad. Sorry.

Good community recreation, good customer service, decent prices, and well kept.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
