We are visiting and just finished eating, I asked my husband "wouldn't it be cool if there was a arcade around?" I googled and it was 5min away from our restaurant... First ... All those pinball machines were AWESOME, the staff was great great music ... It's definitely a vibe ... I will be back
On family vacation, kids, hubby, and I wanted to kill some time, while we were visiting the area. We went to Quasars Arcade and had so much fun. I even played my favorite video arcade game, Street Fighter 2. My family and I spent 4 hours and had a blast. Check on their website for days and time. They even have tournaments and events. When we showed up, there wasn't any. Even good deals to play on arcade and pinball machines. Glad we showed up early on Sunday, because when we stayed a little longer to play m
Great set of modern limited and premium edition tables. Most of the tables were leveled correctly, but there were a couple that needed leveling. I made a special diversion to Corpus to visit the arcade. I was not disappointed. I may do the same when I make my return trip north.
I walked into Quasars for the first time today, at around 5pm. The place was dead, I person playing a pinball machine. I wandered around a few moments, checking the place out. The only other person there came out from the back, and gave me a heads up nod, walked right past me to watch the 1 other person there play pinball. He just ignored me basically, I guess watching the only person there play pinball was more important than keeping a new customer. I was very disappointed with my first impression on this
Despite a machine error, the owner spoke with me directly and resolved the issue. I believe not only in this business but those who work to provide to the community. This is a safe and friendly environment, which you can find many new friends at. Please, if you do come across an error, remember it was machine related, not human, and humans have feelings too. This establishment works hard and is passionate about the community, their business, and its patrons. Address the issue with respect and I can promise
A good assortment of arcade games and pinball. Their food prices are very reasonable and their drink prices are good too. I think they make the most of their money from the arcade games which what you'd expect from a place that markets itself as an arcade first, bar and restaurant separate. They told me their menu is undergoing development so what I post may not be their final menu. Update: they are back at their original locations and no longer have a bar or kitchen. They are okay with BYOB within lim
One of the best arcades I've been to... very nostalgic! Quasars is a smaller arcade filled with pinball machines and old-school arcade games. They recently switched from tokens to refillable cards which makes me sad but I understand how it's beneficial from a business standpoint. My family loves this place and will come back every chance we get:)
One of the best arcades I've been to. Attended a pinball tournament there. Very well maintained machines with a varied selection. Super friendly and welcoming staff and patrons.
Super cool place! Discovered how much fun pinball can be here! Staff was nice, welcoming, and helpful. Food and Games are affordable, drinks were too, made for a great date night! Played games while my food was being prepared and it was brought to me when it was done. Free popcorn was a plus! Will be back again!
First time here since hard-knocks. I'm not much of a gamer but my 9 year old loves the games. The vibes were great, the music was a great selection, the appetizers were delicious. Perfect place to come grab a beer and relax or watch a game on the tv or watch others play the machines.
Honestly one of the coolest places to take your kids. For twenty bucks you can hangout and enjoy the pinball machines for hours. Best thing to do is to cash out $20 because you get additional tokens making it even a better value. Great environment and a massive assortment of games to choose from. Will for sure be going back again.
All of these pinball machines are in impeccable shape! They have premium versions of most Stern machines, which also have Insider Connect. BYOB! This place is obviously run by someone who loves pinball.
What can I say awesome arcade every pinball machine working well,Can't say that about any arcade in Austin and only 1 place in San Antonio comes close too the playability of there arcade..Great staff ..A must go
A place full of games for kids and adults. No prizes are rewarded but the games are not expensive to play. You can bring in your own liquor if you like. My kids had a great time. It's kind of hidden away in the parking lot, I didn't even know this place was here.
One of the few arcades I know of that still carries Guitar Hero! ?? My fiancee and I stop by whenever we have the chance and always have a good time ?? They also have a good selection of pinball machines as well as a variety of other games!
A fun little arcade that allows B.Y.O.B food and/or adult beverages. Just make sure you have a cup to use. They have some classic arcade games, pinball machines, and one 10 person Killer Queen game, as well as some chance games. Nothing costs more than a dollar to play and most only cost twenty-five cents. I only saw one small table to use.
Used my card there, then at 5am my card was being used then got charged $96 for DoorDash not once but twice and that was the last location I used my card.
It was great! Took my family and my kids got to see a little bit of how we used to do it back in the day. My son took his whoopin on Blitz and I got stuck on the Deadpool pinball machine. The only thing I would say is some people need to be courteous of others and make sure they freshen up, just cause it's a 80's/90's arcade doesn't mean people have to smell awful. It made me not play certain games, but that's not Quasars fault because they can't control people's hygiene choices.
Games are in ridiculously awesome shape. Owners and staff are inviting. BYOB! Make sure to buy the $100 q-bit card for maximum value! ??
Super cool great atmosphere and tons of retro games! Even some cool boxing games and so much pinball
Owner has really stepped it up from the old location! Lots of room. Monitors over pinball machines is great.
Lots of pinball games in great condition and everything was at fair prices. They even had a TV listing current Stern scoreboards for those using the App to track their progress. This was an awesome spot to visit and they even offer discounted happy hour times on most games.
Pinball, pinball, pinball! A great selection of modern pinball games is the centerpiece of the arcade, with a side of arcade games (several fighting games, three shooting games, Mario Kart) and some classic retro cabinets to play.
Amazing ITG cab in great shape! There's also a Dancemaniax in great condition, which is a pretty rare rhythm game machine! The prize machines have figures too, a little more decent than your typical chain arcade. There was a wide variety of pinball and older arcade cabinets, definitely made me feel nostalgic. I would love to see you guys get more retro rhythm games, thanks for taking good care of them!
This arcade was exactly what I was looking for. From the art on the walls, the lighting, and the great selection of games to play, this arcade has a retro feel that allows you to create lasting memories with your family and friends. I can't wait to visit again!
Do we need the credit card for the card for games cause I don't know what to do my brother know the place quad sauruas
Super fun date place, great selection of pinball and arcade games, wife loves the drinks here too! Totally recommended for a first date
The best arcade place ever!!! Super nice, so much family fun, great atmosphere and just an amazing place. We loved our first experience there and will back again soon!
AWESOME DATE NIGHT!??PINBALL TOURNAMENT?Very inexpensive??B.Y.O.B.
Super fun arcade and really good prices too! $20 token option is the way to go!! Kids loved it!
Some great pins y?all got there! We look forward to visiting Quasars when we attend Hawk Festival in a few weeks. Do you have a bar or BYOB?
Theres a great selection of games and byob is an option! The only complaint I have is that it was quite warm. Other than that my family and I enjoyed our evening at Quasars.
I LOVED their previous location. As someone with severe social anxiety, I always looked forward to the chill, nostalgic basement arcade type of vibes. Their new location is a huge sports bar with a totally different crowd and vibe. I'd never go into any type of sports bar typically but was looking forward to checking this out. Unfortunately it's a totally different feel that's lacking the charm of what I loved about them. I miss the old location already but am happy they had the opportunity to expand to ap
very fun place i just moved to corpus Christi and i gotta say this arcade took my stress and worry's away relaxing drinking some Baja blast while shooting up zombies and there varieties of pinball machines is so cool and fun definitely recommend bringing buddy's or family to just have a fun time
Was going to go to the new location and recommend my son to take his girlfriend, but not after I saw a response by the manager to a 1 star review where they told them to go to Dave and Busters if they didn't like their food. Very unprofessional and unfortunate because the old location was awesome and had a unique nostalgic feel to it. Gave it 3 stars based purely on my experience from the older location, which was a 5 star experience itself.
Hella cool place. I don't think I've seen so many old school arcade games in one spot with nice monitors. All of the joysticks and buttons are in good shape and work well unlike your average run of the mill "barcade." In my eyes this is the "barcode" done right. Prices are fair and $20 can go far. Quasar's, Send me your playlist :)
I went in on my Birthday with my son and family. It was the BEST! And now I know they have the Iron Maiden pinball machine I will be hanging there more often! Iron Maiden ROCKS and so does that game you can pick a song and play that mode! LOVE IT !! We got food the pizza was good and my son liked the chicken strip. We will be going back Fo Sure Plus now my son wants to play in the tournament games next time they have em. So happy to go there for my Birthday I had a awesome time! Audrey F. \m/
Little downside to the place, the bartender girl with purple hair and nose piercing, she saw us sit down and she did not approach us for the longest time, we never got our drinks. The place had such an amazing vibe and fun games that were addicting. Would recommend
Yay Quasars is back at its OG location! Way better than the other place. Back bby!! only downfall is the damn credit card element cuz I have more cash and coins to give. I personally feel like I spend more money when its coins and cash cuz I don't have to wait to have at least $5 bucks to put money on the card. other than that I'm so happy its back at it rightful place. Next maybe they can add a snack bar in the back for purchasing popcorn, nachos, drinks, snacks, & ect. (with a person not a machine) That w
Love coming here! Easily the best selection of pinball machines. They run weekly pinball tournaments which always makes for a fun/competitive time. The card system is really neat, I like that you get bonus credits the more money you put on your card. Makes the cost to play cheaper than most arcades. Also BYOB :)
It's so great. I love the retro feel (I have a soft spot for anything Pac-Man) and everything is so fun! If you're light sensitive like me, the whole place is dark and still easy to get around. Very clean, nice staff. If you get overstimulated easily, maybe bring headphones. 10/10 love it.
We loved the atmosphere, options, layout, late night, Prices! We played for 1.5 hours on less than $20 per person. (Only left cus we were tired from work, still had money of the gamecards) but this is a great place to go after other places close. Plenty of staff to help, Tons of games to do. We only wish we heard of them sooner but Definitely will be going back
I just had SO MUCH FUN here with my boys!! This place is just awesome! I love the fact that pretty much everything actually WORKS. Such a hard thing to find at an arcade. The pin ball games are a blast, the retro games are super fun, and I could just go on and on. I spent $20 for a 100 tokens and they lasted quite a long time. I definitely will be back! I think a date night with my hubby is in order! Keep it up guys....don't go up on prices, don't start slacking on maintaining those machines, and this pl
My husband and I came here for a date night to try something different and we absolutely loved it! We've been coming almost every week since then!! Fun atmosphere, great music, and really fun games! I love that they blended old classic pinball machines and games with newer pinball models and other modern games! There's something for everyone in the family to enjoy. I'd highly recommend stoping by! Update: Don't really understand why they had to take away the 100 tokens for $20 deal... now it's 88. 12 token
Me and my 2 daughters went and had a great time up until 2 drunk female individuals went in the restroom after my kids and proceeded to yell at my children. Then exited the bathroom and began to yell at me. The staff did not do anything to resolve the problem. They told me she was leaving and when me and my kids began to play pinball their boyfriends kept starring at us the whole time. Did not feel safe here with my children. Will be goin back to file police report.
So sad about the new location! The atmosphere is off- it just doesn't feel like an arcade anymore and the scared part is very small. Miss the BYOB but would have been okay with it if the drinks weren't crazy expensive . Green tea shot $9.50 and a shot with pink lemonade and peach schnapps is $6.50 and that's only a liqueur. This place used to be amazing but sadly I won't be returning unless they decide to change it to similar to how it used to be
Small but plenty of pinball machines and some arcades
Overall a very cool place to go for a good selection of arcade games, and an even better selection of pinball tables. Food is not bad. My only complaint is that the place is pretty loud. Maybe that's silly to say about a sports-bar-pinball-arcade since that's kinda what it's about...but that's just me. I can get over it though??.
The owner has worked incredibly hard to bring pinball and classic arcades to Corpus Christi
I was waiting for about 45 minutes In a table waiting for them to come up to me to take my order they never did. This was on a Wednesday and not that slow. This new location does not have a lot of the old arcades the last location had. I also went from a table to the bar and still did not receive service. Workers were talking to there friends. I was told later when leaving that the waitress won't come up to you and that you had to let them know I'm the entrance that you wanted to order food so that they can
Spent $60 on a card for the kids to play. The card fell inside one of the machines and the manager said.. well ugh the best I can do is $15... Sucks because the place did look cool but they didn't care about my lost money! SMH disappointed Well Dave & Busters it is, would have loved to support Quasars
Truly disappointing after the move. It's changed from a chill environment to just another bar where corpus? finest go to get drunk. This is no longer a place to take your kids for a chill night playing arcade games. The place was filled with drunks falling over themselves and rowdy crowds just there to drink and watch UFC. I have a feeling it's a lot of the same clientele that would frequent the place when it was hard knocks. We would go to the old location at least 2-3 times a month but after trying out th
Personally it's not quite for me, I'm not really into the sports bar arcade scene. It kind of feels like a place for fathers. You've got the sports bar, and pinball tumor in the front. Then in the back is a congested kids place. But hey if you're into that kind of stuff by all means go for it. I feel that it kind of lost it's arcade feel when the move happened. Also I just feel bad for the people who play the fighting cabinets, I saw different people irritated with kids running around them.
Old school game nerds, new school and little kids running around. It is a great place to go and have fun. The weekends are hopping. I'm glad they moved back to the old location.
Me and my little one ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! Man if I was a billionaire I'd invest into this place, make a snack bar (pizza, popcorn, burgers, milkshakes) it's always fun here, chill, cool games. Weekend nights are fun for 21+(Staff closely monitor). Be responsible and respectful to this business if you plan to byob. Very cool staff. They are also keeping up with sanitizing their games, etc. Thanks for being open!
Awesome Place, lots of great games.
All around a fun arcade to hang out at. The machines are well maintained and the staff are friendly. There's a variety of games here so there's something for everyone. It's clean and the prices are reasonable.
Honestly haven't played arcade games in a really long time. I had so much fun with my nephews and family. They truly loved it! I've never played a cool pinball machine like Godzilla. Will definitely be going again.
This place is absolutely fantastic. BYOB, super cheap games (majority of which are only 25 cents!) Me and my girlfriend go all the time and always spend a few hours there. The owners are super chill. Dont attempt to beat my record on Strikers 1945 because I check it regularly and I won't let you have the #1 spot. Now if only they had a Metal Slug cabinet... If you're reading this please, please look into getting Metal Slug!
This place is so much fun!! Such a awesome environment with a great selection of games. Staff is kind and helpful. I would recommend to anyone with a love for pinball and retro arcade games. Cant wait to go back! Always bringing the community together with awesome weekend tournaments such a fun time.
tons of pinball games it's an old timey arcade
Came in from the Dallas-Fort Worth area not expecting something this awesome Corpus Christi. It has a ton of pinball machines that look brand new and play great with no issues. A bunch of shooting games which my wife absolutely loves and all working perfectly. It has old style and new style arcade games and a couple of riding games. I'm thoroughly impressed I can't speak highly enough about this place my wife and I had a great time. Way better than the games you would see it Main event or Dave & Buster
Look the new location! Everything was awesome.
?? Quasars Arcade has always been a fun place to be. There isn't very much to do in Corpus so I appreciate Quasars for being here and providing fun through the late night hours. I love the games and the staff has always been super helpful with teaching me how to play new games and pinball machines. I have visited Quasars more times than I could possibly count. Staff has always been beyond friendly and helpful. Never once have I seen a staff member be rude to a customer, I've only seen customers being rude t
My family always has a great time here and we haven't even tried the food yet. Glad they have been doing well enough to upgrade. Stop in its great!
I'm so sad and disappointed at the new quasars. For one they don't have all the games that they used to and they don't have all the racing games they used to have either. It feels like they just got all these games and just put them in random places. One of the biggest appeal for me, and my friends and family was that most of the games for example, like Galaxia were placed close together with the other Galaxia stations making it super fun to play along side, family members, but that's not at this new quasar
Really great selection of games and reasonably priced, but I brought my kids and lost about 5 dollars worth of tokens in various games. Never could find anyone that worked there to help, so we left. Undecided as to whether we will be back. Update 9-8-2020. I wish to amend my previous review, decided to give them another chance and they have really stepped up their service and selection of games. A place I look forward to taking my kids every week now.
We're in town for a pre-Thanksgiving family get-a-way to the lovely Corpus Christi thinking November would still be a lovely time to see and explore this part of the coast because we love being outdoors...but of course we get here during an unseasonably cold week for this part of the state. *long sigh* Enter Quasars Arcade for the win, when we needed something indoors to do this evening. You get a game card from the self serve kiosk and then play! They had a good selection of vintage games, pinball, claw
It was my first time here and it was super fun, bar tender was super busy but very nice :) watching people play pinball is so satisfying, loved playing mk and Capcom fighting game!
Awesome arcade - love being able to watch others play pinball while having an ice cold beer. Gotta check this place out, it is pretty awesome and much more advanced than any other arcade bar I have been to. Also, get the pretzel!!!
Very awesome arcade, first off I got to meet one of the owners and one of the other workers named Nate. They were both down to earth guys I enjoyed my 2 hour visit there while playing all of what they had. I honestly feel like It is the best arcade in the coastal bend. For a couple of reasons first off the customer service was very kind and genuine, second off the games are really fun especially the game "The Grid" was really fun they also had a 5v5 game called Killer Queen it was awesome!! I also had fun
I was soooo impressed! I haven't been to an arcade that I liked since I was a kid because of how much the games have evolved. I was probably 12 since my last time at an arcade so this brought back so much memories because the games were the games I knew! Lol. Bonus! The games are not as expensive than most entertainment places nowadays. I played til I was so tired that I didn't know what else to do with the tokens I had left. GREAT STAFF as well! ?? definitely coming back when I'm in town again.
Loved this place. Staff was great, everyone was so chill and mature. Just in their own world having a great time. I loved it. I wish all establishments operated like this & had the same respectful, mature patrons. Oh & of course the games were AWESOME!
Loved the old location, went to the new one today and I was disappointed. It used to be an arcade that was byob now its a restaurant/bar with a play area if that's what I was looking for I would have went to Dave & Busters. They should have at least kept their other location open. Goodbye quasars it was good while it lasted.
I used to love Quasars, but it has really gone downhill. The card system is whack. The joy of coins is gone and everything is expensive as heck. All my favorite games have broken and never returned. They definitely don't sell Ramune anymore. I wanted to still love the place, but lately the guest service really went downhill, and one of the staff even harassed a regular. Management leaves so much to be desired. It's all pretty grim, and even though there are few other pinball machines in town, I definitely
Pretty fun little place to hang out, play some games, and get some delicious appetizers! My only complaint would be that the music is played WAY too loud.. other than that, i will be coming with friends when I'm in the mood for some pinball or fighting games :)
(Edit: updated) A recent return visit to Quasar's pleasantly surprised me. Many new arcade cabinets were added, and many of them for games I had been yearning for. The wall's worth of pinball machines also certainly helps, even if they are a bit pricey for pinball. Given the new variety of games to play, I can certainly say this arcade is EXACTLY what I've been looking for and look forward to sinking a few dollars worth of tokens per visit in the future. (I had no interaction with the staff so I can't say m
Awesome collection of games, definitely a great environment. Reminds me of classic arcades before the downturn of the arcade era. Only one complaint, the AC was either off, or not working. They did have fans, and a few cooling units. Other than that one complaint, perfect experience if you want to enjoy the "golden era" of arcades!
If you like pinball and real arcade games, go here. Games are maintained very well. Would move to Corpus Christi to go here everyday
I sadly do not have any photos for this place but almost every single pinball machine was very entertaining and I really enjoyed it by a lot. They also have a pretty good amount of arcade game like street fighter, and pac man. Overall it was a fun experience
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
