A Magical Ninth Birthday at Putters Wild! We recently celebrated our daughter?s ninth birthday at Putters Wild, and it was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that our celebration was seamless and enjoyable. Their warm demeanor and professionalism truly set the tone for the day. The party was a blast, with the kids absolutely loving the vibrant and adventurous mini-golf courses. Each hole offered a new and exciting challenge,
Fun little mini golf course. Would like to see more holes, but other than that we had fun. The price isn't bad either. Would recommend for a date night.
Ridiculously loud, bad music. We were the only people there, and would have preferred quieter music. Nearly all of the machines (photo booth and games in lobby) were 'out of order.' The ones that were functional only took cash, no credit card payments (read: these machines are ancient). My companion paid for VR, it didn't want to work either; he wasn't able to play the game he wanted after multiple tries. After having gone to mini golf courses in other cities, I was surprised at how small the courses were a
This is such a fun little activity to do. My husband and I came on a Friday around 4pm and it was surprisingly quiet. We are from Orange County, California and have never seen such a fun and creative course. We had a blast even though it was short (9 holes). If you're visiting Anchorage put this on your list!
One of the best mini golf experiences ever! That was my first time playing mini golf in a blacklight environment and it was a blast. There are 2 different themed rooms: sea life and Alaska life. Both were equally fun and I'll be doing this again during my next visit to Anchorage. Can't beat the price. Thank you for the military discount. There are also a couple arcade games, air hockey, and trampoline basketball, but I was most interested in the mini golf.
This is a good, quick, fun experience for people with kids or just a group looking to kill time. The mini golf is takes about 30 minutes with a group of 4-5. It's a fun environment. They have lots of different game options available outside the mini golf and would be a great place to have a kids party IMO. The golf is only $9 per person so super affordable prices.
Superrrrr tiny, my 2yr old had fun but it's kinda pricey for not even 10min of golfing. Everything else costs money. It's really cute and Alaska themed throughout!
My family went and had an amazing time. We had never gone before. The place was clean, and people were super nice. They have putters that are a variety of lengths for good height variation. My family ranges from 4' to 5'9", and we all easily found a putter that worked for us. They also sell specialty golf balls, so we got a few. Took about an hour or so to play 18 holes.
My daughter and I played 18 holes in about 30 minutes. It is separated into 2 courses, 9 holes each. It was not busy at all. There are other things do such as arcade games and an air cannon blaster game where you shoot nerf balls at each other. The golf course is 3D with black light. The games probably take a bit longer if you're with a group or a birthday party. They sanitize the clubs and clipboards after use. My daughter thinks the place smells kinda funny and I guess it does.
Decent course to be indoors. Have visited multiple times over the years, and it is always well kept. The lighting of the paint in a dark space can be a little overwhelming for kids. Holes are in good shape, and mechanical holes, work. Which is a lot more than you expect as some courses we've gone to. Price is fair for 18 holes. Didn't try any of the other offerings (VR, arcade, etc.)
We recently had a Putt & Play party, and it was awesome. Everyone (kids aged 4-8 and adults) had a blast. I liked the choice to have either Putters Wild cater or cater ourselves. We did the latter, and it was nice surprise to find a chest freezer in the party room - next time we'll bring some frozen treats. We tried the backlight mini-golf, air cannon, trampoline basketball, and arcade games (extra cost). All were clean and well maintained. Some of the air cannons were a little underpowered, but we still h
The location isn't the best, and prior to entering the golf area it's like an old half empty arcade. That being said, inside the golfing area is a lot fun (get the 3D glasses!) It is so trippy, and a group of friends can have a lot of laughs. It's a fun little date night idea, worth the $9.50 a person for 18 holes.
So much fun! Love the art and 18 holes of mini golf was lots of fun! Got photos in the hoto booth and we all had a blast!
Fun little place to play putt with friends or host a kids birthday party the VR is a little mediocre but the experience is still fun nonetheless
We celebrated my nephews birthday here and this was one of the worst experiences. You are essentially told to tell them when activities start, for each game which we agreed upon. However when OTHER families had their kids on the trampoline we were charged and told that activity was done. When the initial rule was to advise when we were to begin each activity? You also cannot hang any decorations. Wouldn't recommend for a party.
Great place for a kindergarten birthday party! We really enjoyed it!
I would NOT recommend booking your child?s party here (especially if you are ethnic/african American). It's a cool venue a typical kid attraction if you will. However, I booked my son?s party here and I can verify that from the second we walked in we were treated like an inconvenience to the employees. I've booked several parties at several different establishments here in Anchorage & this was by far the worst and most unprofessional experience we've ever had trying to throw a children?s party. We got very
Really hard to find indoor activities to do with my daughter and stumbled upon this place when googling. It has 0 curb appeal so you have to be looking for it. My daughter really enjoyed the black light and 3d art around the golf course. Really well designed holes and contraptions. Also great customer service! Karen was really sweet and helpful.
Fun place on a rainy day
My coworkers, boyfriend, and I loved it here! The employee working there was shy, but helpful and sweet! We enjoyed the 18 hole mini golf course as well as the art on the walls and in the play area was very interesting and beautiful. Very great price for the mini golf, VR, and the two other games that were included with our bundle. There's a really cute Photo Booth as well! We enjoyed our time here, and we will be back!
Hard to find mini golf in this state, was good fun for the area
Had my son?s 6th birthday there. I wont leave too many details, but for the price, I believe it was worth it. I was worried my son wouldnt like golf hut turns out he really LOvED it! Othet little kids were a bit scared of the alien fish heads, but its okay. Completely did not expect the whole course to be black light. All the kids got glow necklaces. And Pizza was provided, and I was glad I got to order another one of my choice(pep and pineapple). The kids had fun with the blaster and not many of the kids p
Booked a private birthday party for my son and I must share that we had a great experience. The owner was very laid back and kind. And my son and all his friends had a blast. The location was very clean and meet all my needs for a great price. Thank you Putters Wild! ??
It was fun playing mini golf, even if the venue is pretty small. I played a virtual reality game as well. They should give more time for what they charge. They also need to fix their claw machines. Overall, my children and I enjoyed ourselves
Cheap and Fun experience in Anchorage! Just be warned if you're afraid of loud noises be aware of the Air Cannon they use to launch the balls in the Pacific hole with the ramp. There's like a .5 seconds sound as a warning but nothing written or stated.
I had my kids double birthday party here on April 16th 2022, what a great party place for kids and adults. I'm sad I did not get the gals name who hosted us. She had the best customer service. She checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed but most importantly she made me plus my family and friends feel welcome! We will definitely go again and I recommend it to anyone who wants to throw an affordable party. ????????
We held my son's birthday party here for the first time, and everyone had a great time. The venue was great. The party room has a fridge, which was perfect for keeping our drinks cold. Rates were very reasonable for all that we got to do. Thank you, Putter's Wild. We'll definitely be back for more family fun.
No supervision of guests, there were kids going crazy inside the putting area, one ran through our game as we were playing. Some of the mechanical putting holes were broken and unavailable. It's neat, but not worth the price in my opinion. However, it's better than the other mini golf place in town for sure.
Such a fun place for me and my family!
Duuuude , this place is so awesome!!! We had a blast here dont hesitate you wanna try this out ! Don't hit the balls to hard !
The location is a little awkward but the two courses are nicely designed. Also have two golf driving simulators and a machine gun ballpit for small kids.
So much fun! A great family activity for all ages!
Great owner & employee! We had our daughter's first birthday party here & it was a great experience! A bit of a hidden gem, but you won't regret it. They smiled through the chaos & never showed anything but kindness! Would do it again ! -The Fata's
So much fun with kids! We had a 10, 8, and 6 year old. It was $9 per person for 18 holes and the 3D glasses were $0.50 a piece. This was fun but be careful of tripping wearing the glasses.
My son and I love this place! Staff is kind and accommodating. Area is clean and the VR is a blast! With the addition of VR, it would be a great place for tween or teen's birthday party! Party prices are very reasonable for the VR, mini golf, the other games and a party room. I recommend this place to anyone looking to do something fun and new in 907!
I brought my daughter and her friends in for her birthday. There was cussing on the music they were playing. I complained to the people working up front and they said there was nothing they could do about it. They called the owner and they said they can't change it either. I got a refund and left.
We took our 6 y.o. & he loved it. I would have enjoyed playing a few more holes (my only reason for 4 stars) For the little one, it was just right -- he was done after the last hole so no meltdown. I have never been here before, but we met the new owner -- she & her staff are very friendly. We will be back again soon, winter is coming. ;)
It was good at frist with my antie playing but when we got to the end and I was about to shot in the lights turn off and my antie said he seen us and he turned off the lights it was scary for me I think that he need more experience it was ????so though that it
Fun small place. I have anxiety in large loud places and this was perfect. Great for familys looking to kill an hour or 2 without spending a small fortune. VR was down when we went today which was a little disappointing but they were open and everything else was working.
Really fun time! 18 holes of golf is a hoot. The staff is so helpful and friendly. We keep coming back and it doesn't get boring. My 7 yr old grandson LOVED the VR.
Great environment to have fun!
I was incredibly impressed. The 3D glasses, combined with the black lights, lazer lights and artwork, really do make the course seem like its popping out at you. There are also "spinners" near some of the holes, each with 6 options to make the game interesting (example: "hit the ball with your eyes closed") Sure, maybe the owner could be more enthusiastic, but he was pleasant, sincere, and explained everything well. The place also has air hockey, arcade games, and a few other things. It's a touch pricey, b
3rd time been here from Willow and close early or just not open. They didn't feel like opening until 5 today. So unfortunately my kids still have not been able to play.
I was expecting more from mini golf. Everything felt very crammed. The neon 3D effect with the glasses is neat but nothing to wear for a whole game. The kids loved it but I'm unlikely to go back except with them.
I like miniature golf but this place was very disappointing. I went with a large group of kids (20+) and they charge you $5 to walk through. The 3d is nice but the actual courses are pretty boring and short. Overall the experience was not worth it. I would be hard pressed to return or recommend this place to anyone.
I always have fun here! It was a great time but unfortunately, this time, the lights were on so the dark black light affect was dulled. Although im not sure if they were on for a reason like maintenance. Just would have liked for it to be dark like it normally is
Ton of fun to be had here, play some mini golf, pop on a vr headset and play any of their catalog of games, or play some one on one trampoline basket ball. These are also just some of the things you can do here. Good family day activity especially for the price.
A definite gem for families to enjoy. The mini golf is really in 3D and is lots of fun. Staff is extremely friendly and provide an awesome experience. You have to try this!
All of the bad reviews must have been on a bad day. I read them and prepared myself for the worse, even brought a date (yikes! Gambling there) The gentleman seemed very positive, he was the only one working so i am sure anything that was troubling is even moreso on him. We went golfing and he tells you straight as to what to expect. It was great fun, worth every penny. As an added bonus, don't say i told you, there is a coupon on the back for return customers. Lovely investment and i hope he does.
Went to Putters Wild today with our autistic daughter. We paid for 2 adults 1 child and ended up the adults were not able to play because our daughter was running around everywhere. After we got done the gut at the front counter said, "you did all 18 holes already! ?" We told him what happened (we had no expectations of refund or anything) and without slipping abeat her told us we could play on the basketball trampoline for free. Great customer service. Will be back
Short course, but still fun. Definitely a place to spend an hour getting away from troubles for a bit. The VR gaming area is cool, and air hockey is always a blast.
Great fun for the whole family or date night. Ive done fundraisers and recently booked a company event. Really looking forward to it. Great staff and owners.. A great time check it out
My granddaughters had a lot of fun. It's a little run down, but clean.
I went there when they said it was open and it wasn't we were happy it was gonna be a family activity but no they were closed. Guess that don't get our money. They lie about there hours. Never go there just wait til the castle is open on the weekends its way better.
Absolute worst place to book a Birthday party. We had a HORRIBLE experience there. The owner is extremely rude and unprofessional. She had a full blown yelling argument with me in front of my guests about a ?miscommunication? on the allowed amount of set up time for our party. I would give this place less than 1 star if I could.
I took my family here and we had a blast. We had fun doing something different and it was cheap. Next time we want to try the virtual reality.
Very fun place to play minature golf!
It is a fun, family friendly place! All is indoors, which is great for AK but its just very unique! We have a blast everytime we go!
It was a lot of fun! Kids and adults of all ages were there having a good time.
Had so much fun it was great for my 7 year old to play. Great family fun
Great place for my daughter's birthday party! The kids had a blast and it was easy for me!
Call before you go- hours here are not accurate. Said they open at 3 - we came at 3:30 and nothing. Wasted trip
First time there with my 8 year old and we had a blast. Definitely going to go there again.
This is a really fun place for a group of kids or young teens. The glow in the dark effect is interesting and adds some difficulty to the game.
Very entertaining, the mini-golf courses are really fun with groups, would definitely recommend.
Super fun for the whole family. Perfect indoor activity for a cold Alaska winter.
Had a fun family day with the kiddos, very clean and the price isn't too bad either!
awesome. If owners read this one change I would make is to make the final 9th holes different. very well done for an alaskan mini golf course.
Good artwork and good service but very short courses and not much variety. Great for kids.
It has two fun minigolf courses for a good price
A lot of fun, even for a couple of "big kids" . My wife and I had a blast.
Fun, safe and great option to get out of the weather and still have fun at a reasonable price.
Most fun indoor mini golf experience I've ever had. Never seen anything like it, but I love it!
It's very fun I recommend you to go on weekend?s
This was a fun outlet for the gran kids and i..they are improving the fun area all the time..fun art work on the walls.
The course is cool and the kids loved it. Can't beat the price will go again ??
Had a good time with the family played both courses and it was a blast
Fun for the whole family!
Was fun needs more glow paint on objects hit my head on a fire switch handel in hallway
Pretty nice place to go with the family for some indoor putt putt.
Super fun and great place for kids birthday parties!
Very clean and fun! Reasonable prices for a birthday party!
The kids always have a blast here. We will definately come back.
It was fun, nothing too fancy. If it costed more I probably wouldn't go.
OhMyGosh, we had a blast playing miniature golf and blaster! Definitely gonna go again!
We really enjoyed the putt putt. The paintings on the wall were really cool too!
Fun! Just discovered this place. Mt daughter and I had a blast!
Great area very fun to play for all ages. Hard to find but worth the hunt
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
