One of the finest remaining Putt Putt courses left in the country. The greens were all in great shape. There are two courses with the one near the road seeming to be a bit more challenging than the one nearest the batting cages. You cannot buy just one game though and must play two rounds or play one round and get a coupon to use on another day. $12 for two games was what I paid yesterday.
We had a birthday party here for our 4 year old and it was so much fun. I think the adults had as much (if not more) fun than the kids. The two young men who ran the party were very friendly and helpful, and Kim was an absolute gem - reliable, professional, and friendly. She made the planning so easy, and she was very helpful in accommodating our group. We will most definitely be coming back!
We're disappointed in the Roanoke Putt Putt Fun Center.. I discussed a 5 year old?s birthday celebration with Kim. I said that we want to pop off a small confetti cannon over the birthday girl. She said she would talk with the owner and get back with me. When Kim called me the following day, she informed me that the owner had declined because they're worried about confetti getting lodged in game machines and falling over the railings. It was still no when I offered to help with the cleanup. There are 15 chi
Two nice courses, one hard and one a little easier. Very well maintained, nice staff.
Perfect for my little one ! Very well kept and super clean Perfect location and not too busy
Excellent time at the batting cage! People that work there are super nice ????
The young man who worked here the morning after Christmas went above and beyond to see that we had fun and a memorable day. Thanks! *Update 2022* I haven't seen that young man for quite a while, but the staff there now is still very nice and wants us to have fun.
Nice place for a quick fun trip. Spent about 2 hours there between the putt putt and games. My child loved it.
I bought a party package to celebrate my son's 11th birthday here, and we had a lovely time. We all played mini golf, then they gave us goodie bags with cards to play games in the arcade. They ordered pizzas for us and we had access to the upstairs room to eat and open gifts and have cake. The birthday boy also got to spin a wheel which gave him a bunch of extra tickets to redeem for prizes. The cost of the package was very affordable (especially compared to party packages at other establishments in the are
I cannot describe the environment of this place, the smell is... Something. Made my head hurt immediately. I think some of the things are overpriced for sure. Little crazy if you ask me. Totally not as fun as I thought it would be. Definitely do not go here. The upstairs had wet bags and they closed it off once my group of friends walked up there.. kinda suspicious if you ask me.
It is a challenging course because of the layout of some holes on hills but the course holds none of the whimsey of the mechanics that you see in many mini golf courses. Not even the iconic windmill. It was fun for the family but not really what we were looking for.
My friend and I went here as as part of our adventures during a 2 day vacation, and we had a great time. Kim, the manager was very hospitable and we had great conversation. The place had great ambiance and is a cute hidden gem in Roanoke. A great place to bring family and friends for sure.
Took my 4 year old grandson to Put-Put he had a blast
This place is very suspicious. Upstairs gave me a headache and there was black bags with wet particles? They asked up to come down then they blocked it off. The women's bathroom had a big hole in the wall and it had no hot water and no mirror. The whole place smelled like piss. It's $5 for a very small thing of dip and dots. This place is expensive for no reason and it's gross.
Very dirty and smells like a old chucky cheese. It gave me a headache as soon as i walked in the arcade. Maybe if they cleaned this place more often it would be ok. The put put was fine. We went upstairs and we looked around and saw trashbags laying up there with water particals in them. It was just suspicious. All the machines are dirty and i didn't even want to touch them they were that bad. In the ladies bathroom it look like some of the wall was torn apart and they just tryed to cover it up.. also the
It was a safe place to take my client. He enjoyed himself. The staff made it a fun place for us.
Neet little mini golf course. Had a blast.
This place sucks. the machines in the arcade were moving if you barely push it and they were super dirty and some of them didnt even work. it smelled like pee the whole time and the upstairs is very suspicious and i got a headache right when i went up there. they soon asked us to come down then they taped it off. theres a hole in the wall in the womens bathroom taped up with a ripped peice of paper, theres duck tape holding the hand dryer up. theres no hot water to wash hands with, the mens bathroom was ver
Great place to bring kids or a fun place to bring your date
Good visit for Father?s Day. $30 for 3 to play 36 holes. Basing experience score solely off the price for what was received. Course was busy but flowed well. Wish the New Orleans ice shack that looked open had someone to serve us but it didn't ruin the experience. Good course that needs a solid pain job, new carpet, water elements cleaned and some staff that needed to understand how to be customer first. Most just kids who didn't care.
Went here as a kid and was totally fun. Needs a remodel and update Still super fun with family and friends. I just think the location needs to be updated.
We had a birthday party here for my kiddo! The employees were incredibly attentive and helpful. The youngest member of our group was fascinated by how the last hole took the ball. One of the employees noticed, showed him how it worked, and then handed him ball after ball to drop in the hole. The party included drinks, pizza, utensils, cups, plates, napkins, goodie bags, putt putt, and arcade credits. They even had something to cut the cake! We showed up with chips and a cake. That's it! Overall, the birthda
Family of four we had a blast playing putt putt and the arcade. The employees were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back.
We got a coupon in the mail. So we figured let's try it out. We took the kids ages 5 and 7 on the easy course. We all had a great time. Once we finished the whole we thought why not play arcade games. This is where it all went wrong. Only 4 out of the 20 games worked. They either had a sign on the machine saying broken, tape covering the coin insert, or you put your coins in and the game would not work. We tried a few games that would be rewarded with tickets which didn't give you tickets. It all was a was
First time Putt Putt ? for Granddaughter !! Lots of fun and we had a great time !! Staff was great !!!
It's a great place to have some family fun and they have decent prices too. We'll be back soon for more fun. If you purchase more than one game, they give you tickets to return on a later date and time which is a great option. They have lights as well so if you go at night you can play at that time as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great location here in Roanoke VA.
Took my 15 year old daughter and her boyfriend on a date and was completely satisfied with the whole experience. The courses were challenging and fun. I hadn't planned on going in the arcade, but I'm glad we did. I don't know about the reviews about so many games not working. I only saw one out of order and there are a lot. The girls working were pleasant and fast.
If you don't go inside the building you'll have a great time! Inside, the game machines are total trash. The bathrooms don't have doors in men's room and the locks don't work in the women's room. The putt-putt course is fine & you can't mess that up. Well, just don't look at the stagnant murky water. The creek on the other side is the parking lot is nice! ??
The mini golf was good. We got a cheap deal on Groupon. A lot of the games were out of order. The working ones didn't give many tickets. One of my kids put 4 tokens in the basketball game and after making the high score got 0 tickets. They said it doesn't give tickets but there was definitely a dispenser for it to. Overall it was OK.
We had a wonderful time here. Put-Put was great, they even had a small plastic putter for my 1 year old. The arcade was a blast and very enjoyable for my 4 year old. The staff were pleasant, super nice, and very patient waiting for the 4 year old to pick out over 800 tickets worth of small prizes.
I think there are three main parts to this- the staff, the arcade, and the mini golf. The arcade was small, but alright! My kids bounced around and seemed to enjoy themselves. Sure, it's no Chuck-e-Cheese, but if the game took a token, the guys came out and game the kids a coin back so all was right with the world again. (mostly ticket, or racing games) The mini Golf appeared to have seen better days, but was decent enough that my 3 elementary school boys had a blast beating the ball into the metal walls o
Nice place to have a little fun !
Had a lot of fun! Very affordable for the 2 courses. Friendly staff and seemed on top of sanitation for Covid. Place could use some TLC though. Has gotten quite run down in the years, definitely showing its age.
A decent, if rather basic, 36 hole course and a tiny arcade with about a 60/40 split of games working to not working. If not for the Groupon deal, we probably wouldn't have gone. The kids had fun, but agree that Thunder Valley is better.
Love this place!!! Glad to see they have made improvements to the arcade. A lot of the games were outdated & not working properly. Overall a good value, great way to kill time & have fun with my 7 year old daughter.
This is a great place for fun with family or friends. Upon arriving here, I thought this would be a mediocre experience. I had myself my boyfriend, and 2 friends. We all had alot of fun. The hard course is just that, very challenging which was a very pleasant surprise!
We had a nice time with visiting friends. But the place needs so much updating and cleaning. There are a few spots on the course that are dangerous with uneven concrete to slip and fall or break in ankle. They've been there so many years it would be nice to have it remodeled so they can stay around for a lot longer
So much fun! Wonderful, friendly staff! Highly recommend.
We stopped in on our way home, it wasn't too far off I81. There are two courses and we chose the harder one, and it was probably one of the harder courses I've played. It was nice to have the challenge along with some interesting obstacles. They had a large water feature that was dilapidated with standing water, luckily there wasn't any mosquitoes. They also have a small arcade, but we didn't use this. We did use the bathrooms and they were in disrepair. The doors on the stalls we not operating correctly.
Went here for the batting cage and had a great experience. The prices were very fair, and the machines do softball and baseball, and have a variety of speed settings. The staff was super friendly as well!
Good value for money spent. 36 holes for 11.50... played 18 and have a free round next time for 2. Would give 5 stars if game room did not have so many arcade games down.
NEEDS UPDATED BADLY! everything is broken or breaking! Very unsafe for children and plus sized adults. A friend od mine actually drowned here a few weeks ago as she had a seizure then fell in the waterfall pond area. She was resicated and is doing ok. They are open at 12pm however keeping the front door locked so you have to go around to the back for games. There is no sign indicating to go around back. The putt putt courses are all falling apart and the bridges wont hold a plus sized adult without someone
Good clean fun. The waterways, indoor arcade games etc need to be better maintained. I visit several times a year and it's an ongoing problem. However the staff is friendly and accommodating. To be the only putt putt in Roanoke, and in such a great location, I am surprised they don't put a little more money into it and fix it up. 18 holes for 3 people is around $20, or 2 rounds for $25. You may win a free round with a hole-in-one.
Great place to spend a few hours in Roanoke. It is an older course so some of the holes are showing their age but for the most part, it's well kept. Two fun and challenging courses, a decent little arcade, and all for very reasonable and low prices.
Played our game. Storm came over. Went inside to play games. Wasn't but 5 customers in building. Extremely hot inside. No air at all. Didn't realize air hockey took real money. Could not exchange tokens on for quarters .
Putt-putt was decent, held up for most of the holes but expected on a Friday night. Lots of games in the arcade were out of order though, never expected to struggle spending the tokens that I purchased beforehand. Other people engaging in the activities were friendly, staff were on their cells not paying attention the entire night ??
Really fun way to spend a few hours. There are 2 18-hole courses, one "easy" and one "hard." Inside is a small arcade with a few games and a few things to eat. Nothing major or fancy about this place but it is fun.
Great place for fun, my grandson loved both the putt putt and the arcade. I had fun too. Convenient location and super friendly staff. Also batting cage looked good too. We will be back
Decent mini-golf experience. Two 18 hole courses to play. Majority of games inside are quite antiquated. Still fun though. Friendly staff. For an "attraction" in Roanoke, it's pretty "par for the course." ;-)
Had a bad experience today. It was 40 degrees and after we paid for FIVE people....one of which was my elderly mother who after 4 of the 18 holes was miserable and couldnt golf. The very rude attendent would not give us a way to come back another day..I asked to speak with a manager and she also refused to contact one. She called me a liar saying we played more holes than we did. I attempted to show her our score card and she refused to look....very disappointed!!! Honestly she should be fired.
Not really worth the money. It isn't well laid out and kinda old and outdated. The employees didn't look like they even wanted to be there.
We only went through haunted house and arcade. HALF the machines don't work and the ones we did use either ran out of tickets multpile times. ONLY spent 5 dollars on tokens and it was definately a waste. The kids did not even enjoy themselves. FUN QUEST is waaaaaaay better.
Very run-down and not cared for, even by the staff working in the establishment. The staff seems to all be between the ages of 16-21 years of age, so service suffered due to socialization between the staff in a separate room. Putt-Putt courses were very simple and lacked an overall theme (Two main animals, a giraffe, and an elephant were present but it lacked any type of cohesion). 60% of the arcade machines were not operational, 10% required real money to operate, and the other 20% were either machines tha
Fun place for an afternoon of entertainment. Nicely maintained mini-golf course, indoor and outdoor tables for small groups. Small game arcade (my favorite is the SkeeBall), batting cages and indoor paint ball area (although, I didn't get to try that myself).
Was having some trouble with the batting cages and the lights not being on at first, but then a really helpful employee named Lance came and fixed the issues immediately. Had a very fun night with my family and will be coming back.
The putt putt golf is still fun, just make sure you don't need a snack or a drink while on your visit. No fountain drinks at all and the chips and candy bar they sold us were expired when I took them back to the counter the young lady said that all their snacks are expired ...... Definitely not what it used to be here anymore.
The putt putt and course section was good enough, but the game room had lots of issues. Lots of broken games and many that stole quarters. No where at all to set drinks down. The staff was really nice and helpful though.
We had a great time. Thank you Sara for being so kind and helpful. Plan to return next week. We appreciate the mask requirements, and other guests were also being Covid safe.
Visited on a whim, and had a good time. The sweetest employee, a golf inthuiest, showed us a few tricks. And assured us that you can call for a redo by exclaiming, "oh that was just pratice." Out of the trio only one had good hang eye coordination.
it's a fun little event for couples or family even kids our 4 yrs old granddaughter had a blast we enjoy it as well go there almost one a week in from Covington and there's nothing to do here so Roanoke events and restaurants get a lot of our business
Need to spend some money redo both courses! The walls on each side of each #lane are just dead. Need to clean the stagnated ponds and have flowing water ,and restrooms need a major major overhaul. Offer more reasonable family packets very overprised. If want to own a family fun place be involved or pay an adult to run it professionally!
Had my son's birthday party there.... 80% of the games was broke. The other 20% didn't work right..... employees watched the games take tokens and not work and could have cared less. Drinks was flat. Just a utter and complete waste of money for crap.
We had a great time! Poor Tila was all by herself, but made sure everyone was happy and having a great time! I can't wait to go again!
They suck! Went there with my grandsons and they had no problem taking my money but gave me 0 indication we had to wear a mask and they told me i could not use the tokens i paid for. Golf course wasn't fun either. Will NEVER come here again.
This place used to be a nice place to go. It has Been let go. Needs a major facelift adult supervision as the last few times we have visited there have been Young teenage kids running the place. Half the time they don't look like they know what they're doing.
Skip it and go to Thunder Valley in Salem. This one is dismal, all the water features are broke or malfunctioning, and there are holes in the "rocks" with exposed rebar, as well as damaged landscaping everywhere. The last time I was there about a month ago, the Men's bathroom had no lock on the door, a broken urinal, and a stall with no lock. Hopefully, you never have an emergency there since it opens into the game room. Speaking of the game room, it's small and has malfunctioning games that mostly are tick
Lights not working properly but still fun taking kids along! The colors stayed the same for the entire time we were there. One appeared to be missing a lens.
Pitiful. Got worse every visit. Will never go again. Soaked our shoes in grass puddles, got 3 ticks on me. Bathroom was atrocious. No tp no soap. Broken machines always. Never fun
Where do I go to get my $10 and the last 30 minutes of my life back?! The games took the tokens and didnt even work! We lost more tokens than we actually got to use. The games ran out of tickets and somehow gave my son more when he had a lower score than he did when he got the 10,000 point hole twice. It was a really big disappointment.
So much fun! Price is pretty good and they offer the option to split your visit into 2 visits if you want to do the second one later
Great time so much fun !!
Very neat place to take the kids. Good nostalgia. Course is a bit lacking but still tons of fun. I will definitely be going back.
Eh... the mini golf is classic childhood but the games suck. The air hockey DOESN'T TAKE TOKENS! Back in the day it was Mecca level arcade action. Now they have broken games jammed under the stairs. Also, you can't go upstairs. Lauren says The Babadook lives up there...
The Putt Putt course is fine. It could definitely be updated. The two stars is for that ridiculous Game Center that needs to close. It is awful. Most of the games are broken, the two games you would actually want to play (basketball and air hockey) you can't use tokens for and those barely work. It's beyond raggedy and should close if they don't want to put the effort into owning this business, it's shameful and seems as if it's been neglected for years.
At the cages and Noah was a great help in fixing my problems. 100% would come back!! What a great place. Love the Titanic game! Also minimelts are 2 ??4
Not very handicap friendly, and in serious need of upgrades. Decent place to kill an hour or two with younger kids. One of the doors was broken when my group was there.
Worth the money. Great customer service. The woman working went above and beyond. Had a blast! We'll definitely be back.
We ran into a huge mosquito problem while we were there. Also alot of the games inside were broken down, took our coins and didn't give us tickets. I'll try there again...maybe just a bad day
This place isn't the nicest but we were there and wanted something fun to do and it's also inexpensive. Loved the batting cage with my husband tho.
No laser tag and no go karts when lights are needed because there is an electrical problem they have not fixed. False advertising!!! Even on their voicemail they have laser tag!!!
Fun course. Had an easy and difficult course to choose from. Clean grounds and friendly staff. Good prices...less than $7 per round per person.
Love the 2 courses. They were so friendly and helpful. When the batting cage malfunctioned, they reimbursed us immediately.
i lost a penny trying to force a token down a machine that was broken. You try to play the ninja turtle game but its really a musicbox that plays 10sec of music for a quarter. Don't go there, the claw machines at kroger work better.
This place is a really good time. It's classic Putt Putt and arcade games and was a great date night for my Fiance and I. Will definitely be returning soon!
Wasn't bad, batting machines were Def old, hard to adjust. Took awhile till I found an employee . Can't beat 60 pitches for five bucks tho
It can be fun if people weren't so rude. Customer service has gone down hill and racism is sky rocketing.
Cool location, needs some upgrades though. Used it mostly for the batting cages and the softball part didn't always work properly.
Other than the bathrooms, great experience and much needed date with hubby!!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Arcade prize games are a thrilling highlight in 2025! Claw machines, skee-ball, and ticket-redemption games like basketball offer a rush of skill and chance, with rewards like plushies, toys, or electronics up for grabs. Modern machines feature vibrant lights, digital scoreboards, and responsive controls, amplifying the fun. The lively arcade atmosphere, with cheering crowds and buzzing energy, makes every win feel epic.
