Hubby longed to take me to Purdy?s in Summer as he had heard about the live music on the weekends as well as their Pub Grub. Being retired we could pick any day of the week and at the same time we don't have reason to keep track of what day of the week it even is?!!! ??All I know is that when we did find in it was a 2 fer on the HUGE fish and chips offer?. W??W!!! Served nice and hot with the same temp fries I had requested the house Apple Kraut since their Slaw wasn't in view on the menu. Companioned with
My new favorite classic arcade in Washington state! The games are in immaculate condition and the collection is superb. The food ain?t bad either.
I'm fairly new to the north end and was really excited to check this place out. We had seen Joel Gibson Jr. at another event and he was playing at.Purdys, so it was a perfect time to go. It was very busy and even with it being so crowded. The service was excellent. Our server was very sweet and we had lots of other people stop by and check in on our table.. I would definitely return here, however, I would not eat here. I had the oysters, which were horrible.. They were super tiny and just had a weird flavor
This place is awesome sauce, me and my son always come to watch the football games and play arcade games. We love coming here. The food is good but there new 3 dollar burger is amazing compared to it before. totally recommend
It's not my thing. I have family that loves it and I go to be with them. If you're not easily overstimulated and you love retro games, you'll love that part. I think the food is okay, but for how much it costs, I haven't been blown away, but I've ordered outside of the normal pub fare. I asked for a medium steak the other day and received well done. I just ate it. It did taste good. Sometimes they have live music if you're into that!
This place seems interesting. It has a bar, restaurant, and arcade. The beer was cold ??. I highly recommend people to check this place out. ??
The food is great. You'll be safe if you stick to the bar food. The chicken strips were great. For other items that are Irish or German that people critique... Please add salt and pepper aka, seasoning, and use their hot sauces. Ha. The Reuben pizza was actually pretty tasty. The crust isn't anything special and kind of think I'm a not so great way, but the flavor of the pizza was good. The burger was massive for what the price was and it also needed salt at the least. The real winner of this whole place is
Maybe it's cause I had take out, but wasn't too happy. They put sauce in containers with my Fries but the sauce came out of the container and was all over the fries (a sauce I didn't ask for) In my mom?s Shepard pie was a hair. She had a second meal she said was tasty, and my pulled pork was good. And the lady who got me my food was sweet.
We came here on a random week night to try it out. What a fun surprise! Really cool live music, really good food and spectacular service! Everyone was super friendly. This establishment seems to attract a diverse crowd, which is good in my opinion. I like that there's a separate section for the restaurant but you can eat at the bar. Also I'm curious about the arcade and will have to try that adventure next time. I highly recommend giving this place a try- looks can be very deceiving from the outside. ??
We had seen this place off the highway for quite a while and had a chance to stop in. It's not really a convenient stop. No complaints, but nothing stood out either. I had a Cuban sandwich, my wife had the fish sandwich. She said the fish was a little too greasy. This one goes under been there done that for us.
Purdy?s used to be the perfect hometown bar. I loved the live music on Wednesday nights. But recently it's changed owners, and they've taken away the Wednesday jam sessions. It was completely unnecessary. They've ruined such a great thing, and in turn they lost the community. We're very disappointed.
Service was great overall, the food was not so awesome. Clam chowder was cold, fish and chips fries were good but fish was pretty gross and super greasy. Replaced with a corned beef dip which was okay. Our waitress was nice and attentive though so I appreciated that.
We came in on a night with a live band. The place was really busy and the server was really good! Good food (blt could use a little more bacon), but the flavors were excellent and the nachos were also great! Good beer, good food and the live music sounded great. I would definitely come back for another hang out night.
Best place for Irish food and German food! Best German beer I've found ever! Amazing diverse menu! Great bartenders and staff! You can even take your kids into the arcade there and order drinks to your table!
Been here before. Food was good. Came on Friday night, arrived at 6, ordered drinks. Ordered food at 6:15. It was busy so knew it would take awhile. After an hour, we noticed a couple at the bar who arrived and ordered after us got their food. We waited another 30 minutes while seeing 2 other tables get their food. Checked with the bartender who checked with the kitchen. Came back and said the kitchen was 'backed' up. An hour and 45 minutes and no food. We canceled our order and left. Red Robin
Fun bar ! The staff was friendly. We only had drinks and ate fries and tots, but they were good. And cooked perfectly, crispy outside and tender inside. Lots of televions and arcade type games. We were there on a Friday night and they had a band. Live music is always best. It was loud, because there was a big crowd. But not so loud as to prevent conversation. Fun place ! Definitely give it a try if you're in the area.
Purdy?s is a solid place to grab a drink and listen to some music, but the food (Peanut butter burger and BBQ pizza) was pretty disappointing. The patty was over cooked, almost burned, which made it so dry! The pizza was just meh, nothing original about it. It felt more like a boxed pizza vs a handmade pizza. The atmosphere is great and staff was friendly. I am hoping we just caught it on an off night. We will give it another try in the future!
Wow! What a find! We LOVED the spacious seating, variety of arcade fun, separate bar area and grest service. We tried the fish and chips, pizza and burger. Highly recommend the burger! They have great daily deals too. Nick, our server was fantastic and on top of it. He was friendly and helpful with the gambling tabs we were curious about. We would come back in a heartbeat!
This is an amazing place. Last night was my first time there.I was checking it out for when my friend comes in town.Because she wants to go somewhere where there's a live band. I am so excited to take her here. And anybody else I can get to come with me. It's so nice to find a place that has live music that's close by.
Played there tonight with Rebel Canyon. Staff was AWESOME..Crowd was AWESOME. Looking forward to coming back..
Had a great evening here!! The salon I work at had our holiday party at Purdys. It was great!! Good food, good drinks, an excellent band, and I loved the crowd. Very diverse group of folks. Cheyenne was our server in the restaurant area and she ran that room all by herself and like a pro! Excellent service, excellent experience. We will be returning customers. A++
I've passed this place so many times but my daughter was moaning about how hungry she was but I didn't want to support another big chain so my mom mentions this place. One look at the menu and I'm impressed. The food is varied and all a reasonable price. We got the fish & chips, the fries oyster platter and the jeagersnitzle. All of the sauces and gravies seem to be homemade which holds a lot of weight in my book. They had a surprising selection of beer and 2 sizes for it! The arcade room had games hangin
Great Pub Bar!... excellent food and drinks. The old style arcade games are amazing and the best is the great service you get in this place!.... Covid-19 free place that you can bring your family to have a great time. Prices are incredible and the food is amazing. Would definitely bring my friends and family. Is a hidden treasure.
Delicious food and a great place to enjoy traditional arcade/pinball games for a great price. Our families new favorite place to eat out.
the service was excellent, the Reuben was good but had a little too much 1000 island dressing for me and the clam chowder had an off flavor, not bad just too much something (perhaps sage). i did really like that they serve a proper Guinness and that is hard to find in the area. overall i would go back although i wouldn't go out of my way. still i left full and with leftover half of the sandwich. i will probably try the fish and chips next time. there is outside seating with a nice view of the Puyallup Valle
Most of our food was cold, gravy and mashed potatoes had no taste, Reuben rolls cold inside outside broiling hot. Even the pub fried were cold and had a weird texture. Expensive for deep fried food not done right
Reasonable prices, friendly staff, and classic arcade games and pinball machines. Flat screens with sports on in the bar. Seating in the bar and in the arcade. Pretzel was awesome, although the beer cheese wasn't my cup of tea. Would have rather had nacho cheese. All in all a good experience. Like a hometown poor man's D&B's. Recommended
We enjoyed our visit. Had the bangers and mash, it was good. I would replace the two Union rings with a roll to mop up the gravy. My wife had the jagarschnigzal which she enjoyed. It was pretty cold, the ac was cranked up high! Where's the English flag? I see you have the Union Jack for the UK. Then I see flags of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. No cross of St George (England). Also you don't serve Boddingtons, the brewery closed several years ago. I'm from Manchester by the way.
Just walked in, most good tables reserved, party when you walk in so the bar you see, there's one area for a line. standing there making room a brown haired waitress with a bun is yelling at us to make room. well with a pillar and a table with the one place that says ?order here??. absolutely not welcoming. flow is terrible. $4 Rainier?s isn't too bad though. I'm fair, only rate things 5 star but to be yelled at at walk in? come on?
I really enjoyed the food. We ordered burger and fries. It was a huge portion and definitely worth the price. I really love that there's an arcade and live bands. Felt like a great environment. Only complaint is some staff wasn't very attentive in the sense that it took forever for them to acknowledge us to order drinks each time.
Wasn't too sure where the entrance really was, then got inside and was a few minutes before we were noticed, then we ordered a burger and a bbq pork sandwich with sodas. The soda seemed partly flat or something, the burger was hard to taste with a so burnt bun it was black on the bottom. The bbq pork sandwich, well it tasted like bbq so much on there no matter how I tried to hold it everything slid out. I do have to say they were more friendly than whoever was down at the arcade cause at least someone n
This is my spot. My 2 favorite bartenders are TJ & John. Today was the first time I got The Cuban and it is delishhhh also bring my 5 year old here all the time to play in the arcade and dance to live music. Def a stop you should make !!
Gigantic fish and chips(20$), excellent poutine (12$), and arcade games! What a great date! Also beers were 5$ and in WA what a deal. Pub atmosphere but still good for famlies due to the arcade. New games mixed with older favorites like Galaga. This is location #2 and is still Purdy great!
Pretty good. We stopped by here on the way home from the WA midsummer ren faire, so we were sunburnt and parched. Waitress kept us topped up on adult beverages. Fish and chips could have used seasoning and salt in the batter; the obvious schtick is how large it is: would have preferred quality over quantity. Wife's peanut butter burger was good. We don't live in the area and it's not worthwhile to make the drive, but we'll stop in again next year.
My first visit to Purdy's Public House was fantastic. I went for lunch on a Sunday before a football game. There was plenty of available parking. Inside has a welcoming atmosphere with large television screens, tables with stools, and an open feel. There is a full arcade room for kids and adults to enjoy. A 21 and over bar is located in a separate area. The service was friendly and prompt. I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries, and it was delicious! ?? Can't wait for my next visit.
Went there for NYE? the layout of this needs to be redone. The dining area should be where the band plays?zero room for people coming and going when everyone is on the dance floor and the dance floor is way small! Food is meh? and the drinks were also meh.
I found this place by chance. Scenery around it is beautiful. The building itself is big, open and accommodating. Tables are big and everything looks clean and welcoming. Service was fast, food was delicious. Menu is more or less what you expect from a sports bar. I will return to watch a soccer match.
The poutine/fries were ok. The cuban sandwich and the jagerschnitzel were disappointing, the meat was dry. The employees were also not wearing masks.
We had the prime rib it was a great price on Friday night. Cheyanne was our server and she was friendly and very prompt. Give it a try. They also have video games and a bar and a restaurant.
Food was amazing as usual, service always excellent. We had the fish and chips special, clam chowder and a big soft pretzel which are delicious!
Nate was fantastic. Very attentive, and aside with the quick turn around on our food from the kitchen. Would recommend.
Great pub with large arcade. Separate bar room. Family friendly. Food is great. Staff is always friendly and efficient.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our waitress was outgoing and fun. The atmosphere was perfect football playing kids playing in the arcade
OMG, this was amazing...had the Fish-N-Chips and it was just amazing, fresh battered and portions are huge with the special 2 -for - 1..had couple drinks and still well under $50bucks..the portion of the fish we simply could've shared.. so damn good, so full..and they Have weekly Specials.. OMG... Purdy's is the place!!!
I arrived with a buddy for my birthday and had an excellent time. Easy access to an ATM, very friendly staff, wasn't super loud and overwhelming, fun arcade with a variety of games to play, with another section that acts as a dining room with a stage. Drinks were well made. I'm definitely coming back. My only gripe is a 50 dollar hold on your card, which was a bit disheartening since I didn't come with a bunch of money, but overall, it was an excellent experience.
Great service Cook 5/7 orders ok, bombed 2 meals = 1 remake & 1 removed from bill. Not busy however loud enough to give 2 headaches & ringing ears .
A lot of complaints about the food no flavor Small portions large prices drinks were very Weak The atmosphere was great especially for the kids
Had a great time listening to Scott and his band. Love country music! Dancing was fun!
Great local crowd, decent burger. Love live music but almost non existent dance floor which is too bad.
Great place. Great bands. Cab get crowded. There is an arcade attached
It was an awesome experience. Loved the atmosphere. Great service and selection. I didn't try the food but saw many people eating some really good looking food.
Love this place! The people who work there are awesome (Bill and Dolly)! Best fish and chips in the world!
This is kind of a hidden treasure, it's right off of hwy 410 but if you didn't know it was there you would just keep on driving. The food was fantastic and service was great too. We tried the fish & chips and a margherita pizza both were great. This might be our new hangout.
Very fun place to go for the whole family.. Food was good as well.. And it's nice to have an open bar, while the kiddos are slamming in quarters in all the games.. Lol.. You'll definitely enjoy it there.. ???
Purdy's didn't live up to the other reviews I had read. Gastro pub? No. Service was so so, beer was cold. Shepard's Pie, as it was listed, was merely browned ground beef with a scoop of mashed potatoes smeared across the top. Friendly? Definitely. Good people. But a gastro pub? No. It's a bar, with great cold beer, lots of room and distractions, and bar food, from the fryer, steam box, and microwave.
Good food and drinks, fun place for live music and sporting events.
Pizza was great. Reuben sandwich was great. Great service. Happy birthday Cody??
My husband's HS reunion was held here. The service was outstanding. Your glass NEVER went empty. The cook was working his tail off. They treated the reunion participants with so much respect. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Good Irish sports bar. Friendly staff. Good food. Good selection of adult beverages.
Stopped here for superbowl game and They have good food an a back room full Of pinball machines and pacman and galaga machines great place for food and fun.
My son and I had a great time there. Friendly staff and a good menu with daily specials. It has a good arcade that opens at 2pm and the whole place is family friendly until 9 pm.
Got great service from the two main workers up front. Purdy's Blonde on tap is solid and the Sheperd's Pie although a bit small of a portion has the more traditional lamb so highly recomend it. Wife loved her chicken alfredo calzone as well. German pretzel with a Guiness cheese dip was an awesome starter.
Excellent selection of menu choices. Good service. Enjoyed the bangers and mash and shrimp po boy. Will definately be back!
What a gem! A wonderful arcade with all the classics. Delicious food with good portions and the service was acceptable. This place is enormous with different sections, a couple bars, plenty of seating for dining and a large stage for live music. I will definitely return.
Great place for pinball (they had the brand new Stern Jaws), the biggest fish and chips I've ever seen, and a great live show. Also I'm pretty sure the big bartender from the pinball side reads minds...he had my drinks ready before I even ordered and it was my first time there!! Highly recommend!!
The arcade is excellent and a great place to take my grandkids. I also enjoy the arcade lots of vintage games I used to play in the 70s and 80s and 90s. Most are a quarter or 50 cents to play. They all work properly and are maintained. I have ate here a few times and enjoyed the hamburger and fries also fish and chips is good. So i recommend this place for a good time. They also serve alcohol. And have a great sports coverage of all games.
I like it here to kill a little time, have a drink and play some old school video games. Bring your quarters. Haven't eaten here yet and from the few times I've been here it's been pretty chill.
Was there for a south sound blues performance. Had a blast. Great music, dancing, food, and arcade. Will definitely be back!
I didn't try the food, but the drinks were strong but not so strong that it wasn't enjoyable. The atmosphere was fun, and I loved that there were 3 areas to enjoy; a dinner area with TV, a bar that had plenty of seating with stage that featured a fabulous band, and an arcade area with another bar and it's own music. The servers were friendly and fast. I found my new favorite place!
Can't say enough good about this place. If I *try* to find a negative thing it's that they are too great at what they do and so they are *too* POPULAR on a weekend night. If you dont go you are missing out. Your kids will love it during the day and you will all the time. 10/10 no notes. Couldn't do better without a bigger venue
I had a lot of fun! It was 80?s Night with Hair Nation! So much fun! All the food we had was great and the beer cold! We'll be back!
My husband and I love this place, food is really good and they have a great variety from pizza to German food and some great salads too. View is gorgeous and the staff is on top of it. Definitely recommend this place!
First time there and food was pretty good. Week definatley return.
I've never had a bad meal here. We had the Monday special, fish and chips, 3 of us shared it. It was huge!
I love this place! My kiddo had a great time. Great food. The pizza selection was amazing and not too greasy. I love that there is a bar for adults and A LOT of games too keep the kids busy and live that there is no time limit for the kids to be there. It's just a great place to have family time and still be able to get a drink if u wanted!
Great place to hang out and have a quick bite to eat/ friendly staff
Love this place, great people, good food and cold beverages!!
The bar manager and (and another gentleman, owner maybe?) Went ABOVE AND BEYOND. I went there for my 44th birthday. I called several restaurants the weeks before to find a place for a family lunch where my daughter and nephew, who are both on the spectrum, can get up and move if need be and not be in anyone's way. The man I spoke to on the phone was wonderful and I thought since there was an arcade kids moving would be expected. We got there and the arcade wasn't open yet, and it's definitely a bar type est
Terrible food and service! The bangers and mash were cold, the gravy was hardenining when we got it. The peas were over cooked frozen peas. The steak and cheese sandwich was also terrible, it was dry and chewy and the bread was not very toasted. I ordered the steak fries and ended up getting the skinny ones. They were worse than homemade frozen fries. No point in complaining because we never saw our waitress again and we didn't want to deal with the hassle. It took forever to order our food and to get our c
A little gem on the side of the highway. Great british pub food plus other tasty things (good pizza!), good drinks, and laid-back atmosphere with a nice patio view. Friendly servers and atmosphere.
Just bought a fish n chip and it literally fell out of the batter it was soggy and disgusting the best thing about the whole meal was the fries they have very good fries!
Traveling here from out of state this place was highly recommended by a friend who lives here. We were very disappointed in agreeing to come. The parking lot isn't that great but we managed to find a spot. Then entered and the restaurant is quite a maze to figure out as a first timer with "Please Seat Yourselves" signs in all the entrances to the different rooms. After waiting for a table to open (still dirty but it was our only option) we were greeted quickly and kindly, finally - something good. We ordere
We started going here for the arcade, and before the restaurant was moved down from the hill. Over time I've grown to really love this place. Even if we're only here to play play few games ( my 12 year old) or eat or have a few drinks it's always a good experience. The staff have always been awesome! Friendly and always moving...I know the fish and chips are delicious but I have to say the clam chowder gets 11 stars!!! Best I've ever had. Great place to go. I'm glad it's here.
I loved the atmosphere and how inviting this place was. When I first walked into the Pub and saw the stand up video machines I was taken back to my teen years. The band played great music I could sing a long with and just made me feel young and a live again. The food was delicious and the drinks were great. There was something for everyone to do but it wasn't so crowded people were stepping on each other. Great layout, great everything and we will be back many times.
I have been to this place multiple times. The service & atmosphere is GREAT. For the pricing of food, I think it's time for a bigger portion of food or better quality. The MAIN reason I come back is the CUSTOMER SERVICE I receive is ALWAYS appreciated. I know that inflation doesn't help but I have seen pricing in the grocery industry come back to reasonable pricing in some aspects. I ALWAYS wish PURDY'S PUBLIC HOUSE the GREAT SUCCESS as they have put a GREAT effort to make this SUCCESSFUL. Keep up the G
Cool place, been here before. However, wife and I came here at night for our anniversary around 9 and dude behind the bar told us it was closed. The sign out front on the door said 10pm and so did google maps. And we Uber?d here. Pretty unprofessional, sucks because I kind of liked the place.
Excellent food, Great People A 10 in Pub and Public Houses
Bill offered fantastic service. The Reuben is as good as any Reuben I've ever had and the barbecue pork sandwich had no business having as much flavor as it did. My wife says the Ruben was better. We can agree the fries were spectacular. We will be returning and we regret not having gone sooner.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
