THIS is the place to be if you want the best pizza and garlic knots in the area. Plain and simple. Oh! And they have ice cream!!

We are pizza lovers and have been trying restaraunts in VB with 4.5 or higher ratings. This place did not disappoint. It offered indoor or air conditioned patio seating. We opted for the patio as the inside didn't have seating available. Our order was placed and caesar salad and pepperoni pizza came out at the same time. A really awesome place! Lexi was sweet and helpful, and the food was perfect. The fried pickles were crunchy, the grilled cheese looked crisp and gooey, the pizza was loaded with toppings and cooked to perfection, and the crispy chicken sandwich had nice and fresh lettuce and tomato. We'll be back next time we're in the area.

I would like a little more crisp on the undercarriage of the pizza... But all in all, the pizza was super fresh. The garlic rolls not knots, were absolutely fantastic and better than your traditional dense garlic knots. These were garlic dinner rolls, that were fluffy and absolutely beautiful. The soft drinks we're fresh and not seltzer water tasting. I will definitely go back.

Garlic knots are more like muffins as far as size goes! They are huge! So so tasty tho. Pizza was very good and had generous amount of toppings. Had the twix cheesecake which was home made. Holy cow. Really think about what day and time you plan on going. Very small,very loud (Friday). Food was great. The knots are more like buns(we didn't know until it got to the table) still very good. I honestly feel bad for staff. There's not much room to get around. I hope the pay is good. Our waitress was very apologetic and such a sweet girl. Id go back but maybe on a slower day if there is one.

A local favorite! My kids love to come here and play the arcade games; keeps them entertained great. I can honestly say there isn't a bad thing on the menu. The Philly Cheese Steak pizza is our favorite, and the pumpkin knots in the fall are amazing.

Great little family spot. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Fettuccine Alfredo, stuff shells, spaghetti, and pizza were outstanding. Don't forget about the ice cream before you leave.

Building seems a little beat up but that's not my issue. The issue is they charge insane amounts for the craziest crap. Like 19 bucks for a tiny little pizza. Very very over priced. I've been coming here for years but sadly it's time to start looking for a new place.o and the home made garlic knots are not home made. They are just buns you can buy at any store soaked in garlic butter. It sucks because there garlic knots use to be absolutly amazing.

Easy parking here. We were seated quickly. Once our order was taken by the friendly staff. Our food was quick to hit the table! The wings were really good. I ordered breaded with buffalo sauce. They were flavorful and mildly spicy. The pizza was good, but could have been cooked a couple of minutes more. The center seemed slightly under cooked for my liking. But still a good pie! Next order, I'll ask for it to be cooked longer. Over all a good place to get a quick bite when your in the outer banks.

One of the best family and kid friendly places to eat in all coastal Virginia. We've been going here for years and it's always a quality experience. Among the classic fresh locally made pizzas, the garlic knots are not to be missed. And who doesn't love having an arcade in the place! First two times here was amazing, don't know what happened during the last visit. Food normally is really good but the buffalo chicken wrap was significantly smaller than before and the fries were cold. Taco pizza was laughable; regular pizza with a weak amount of toppings on top of what seemed to be watery tomatoes and garbage iceberg lettuce. Cute little restaurant off the road has a lot of indoor and outdoor covered seating, food was great and flavorful especially the big garlic knots and I'm not one to like garlic knots! Prices are great it is $1 for extra toppings but that's ok food is to good to worry about that Lol. My husband and I were driving around the area when we both got really hungry. We settled on this place. And boy, oh boy, we're so glad we did!! We went at around 5pm on a Saturday. Not too packed but once was were finished at around 6:45pm, the place definitely filled up. They've got a game room as well. Great way to spend some time. The service was absolutely amazing. 12in Pizza & Baked Zitti = <$30. Pizza is great. Thin, chewy, flavorful crust - pizza bones were lightly crisp on the outer layer, and chewy like under the sauce/toppings. Sauce is traditional tiny bit sweet, tiny bit tangy. Cheese was melty but stretchy, and perfectly salty (but didnt drive me to a glass of water). Toppings were sufficiently spread around - I wouldnt ask for more or less. I bought the zitti ahead for dinner... looks tasty.

If you're looking for a family friendly pizza joint - you've found it. Pungo Pizza has so much history in the Sandbridge area. The staff there are all friendly, attentive, and sweet. We will make a point to drive out there or take the long way home just to stop here. The chicken tenders are the best I've had and I typically share my daughter?s. But my favorite menu item of theirs? The garlic knots! You cannot go wrong ordering these bad boys. They are even more delicious (if possible) as leftovers.

Love everything about pungo pizza! The cinnamon knots are a MUST. The Greek salad is constantly good. The pizza is the best in VB. I wish they delivered but I'll gladly make the drive to pick up myself. Do yourself a favor and eat here!

The garlic knots at Pungo pizza are amazing. If you go and don't get some, you are doing yourself a disservice! The pizza is very good as well. Although it was crowded when we visited, the wait staff were very attentive and made sure we had refills on drinks.

I like the crust but take a look at the bacon pizza. There's no bacon on it. ??????? I would like to give this place a decent review but I can't... for the price and lack of bacon it wasn't worth it. Wow! The service here is top notch! Came here on New Years Eve and they were pretty slammed with phone and online orders; but the young staff was making the best of it and were incredibly polite and well informed on the menu. Food is usually pretty good. They have the best gluten-free crust around. I still like to have it cooked well done for that extra crisp. My kids love the spaghetti and their ice cream. I wish they delivered.

Garlic knots are phenomenal. Pizza crust is crispy. Worth the drive from anywhere in Hampton roads and even from out-of-state ;) My family and I love the ice cream too. They even have Superman! My family & I stopped at Pungo Pizza & Ice Cream on a Saturday after an event. It was pretty busy with a wait time of 10 minutes for 3 people. We waited in the game room for a little while before checking with staff to see if we could be seated. The staff were all helpful and polite. We ended up having multiple servers - so we aren't sure who got the tip we left. Our order was a regular pepperoni pizza and garlic knot with ice cream cones afterwards. The food did not disappoint! Food is good but make sure you ask for napkins and eating utensils for takeout. I picked up takeout and when I got to barn to eat my salad no eating utensils or napkins. I think these items should be part of every takeout order.

Not what I remember. I remember this place having good pizza, I stopped in to get 2 slices to go, no one seemed very happy when I walked in, the guy asked me if dining in or pick up, I told him to go, he then tells the girl to take my order, she looked like she really was enjoying her job, (I am being facetious) bottom line is that the bottom of the pizza was a little charred and the slices looked like they came from a personal pan pizza (small) had a lot more sauce and not much cheese. Just awful.

Okay, look here. I don't write reviews often, but something needs to be said about something very important here. I have lived near this restaurant for 20 years. Pungo Pizza is quite good but they have one major problem in my opinion. It is completely unacceptable to charge 19.99 for 2 lb of wings and only allow one sauce for all 2 lbs. I have worked in the restaurant industry for 12 years. It is not complicated to put two sauces on 2 lb of wings. Please do better and change this policy to allow two sauces

Food is great here! Not just the pizza. Service was Great! Cyley was friendly and on point with everything, even though he was in the middle of Lunch Rush. Food came out fast and was delicious. I went there with my family, my cousins and there family. Went in there already had good first impression with the employees. They were friendly, polite, and gave off a good vibe. The atmosphere felt nice compared to other places where I might feel the stroller or baby carrier might be in the way. We enjoy their ice cream and root beer floats. It was good time. A great semi outdoor seating area allows for a good time with a view of the outdoors.the Pizzas are made with all the toppings one could desire. I had a Greek salad and pizza roll ups. I had garlic bread with my Greek salad. When they brought my pizza roll ups, they looked just like my garlic bread but a bit larger. There is a reason this place is busy! It's good! I'm not a big pizza fan but this place is good! We get the Mediterranean pizza with the feta cheese and spinach and black olives. I have been coming to Pungo Pizza since 1989. Yesterday your waitress was rude and accused of something I didn't do and your manager got in my face and told me that I am not allowed to come back to the store. I ask why, he told me that I assaulted a waitress in which I have no idea what he was talking about. He took two steps towards him with a fist.
