Customer Reviews

11 pinball machines... A few additional odd contraptions No video game machines... Lots of fun! A good selection of music provides a nice soundtrack of rare R&B, soul, and disco oldies. Games are $1. An ATM and a change machine are on the premises.

Loved this little pinball spot. What a cute find. They even had my favorite pinball machine - Theater of Magic. Wish there were more places like this. Such a genius idea.

Such a cute, throwback retro old-school vintage nostalgic [insert more synonyms] place! Reminds me of playing my grandfather?s old machine when I was little. The noises are awesome, the old change machine and photo booth are nice touches, and the guide to win the games and customized instructions on each machine make it feel even more personal. Felt like I was in a classic movie from decades ago. The machines cost between 50 cents and $1, which is very fair.

Pops is a lot of fun. 10 different pinball machines, some oldies some mainstream classics and a fun time. Games range from 50 cents for 5 balls to 1 dollar for 5 balls. Older machines cost less and are still so much fun. Music is playing but most of the magic are the sounds from the machines. A great addition to now market- something to do while catching up with friends, and compliments the many dining and drink places the market has already.

This mini arcade was awesome! I'm a big pinball player, and loved their selection. They happened to have my favorite pinball game medieval madness? and a handbook with tips and tricks for the pinball machines! Pretty awesome, I definitely will be back!

A great selection of well-maintained machines in a cozy environment. Can get crowded, but a nice place to enjoy some classic games. Games range from $0.50 to $1.00 with some deals like 6 credits for $5.00.

so excited about this place! 10 really well maintained pinball machines and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. pop?s is such a cool addition to the Somerville community, I'll be spending a lot of time here.

Great spot for some classic pinball machines. Cool place if someone wants to see machines from all eras, from 1950s-2000s.

Awesome spot to hang with a few friends or even solo. Very well maintained machines with a variety of styles from different decades. My new favorite spot.

Where to begin?? AMAZING pinball place! Great, well-maintained machines, amazing decor, and owner-manager with TRUE PASSION for pinball and genuinely great guy! You'll love it, whether you play in pinball tournaments or (like me) you are just (re)discovering this game. Would give a thousand stars if it were feasible.

I love pinball and when you go here you will do good pinball! Some of the best pinball I've pinned since I moved to Boston. If you want to do pinball come here

Perfect spot to get hooked on pinball whether you ?pop? in for a few games while waiting for food or spend an entire afternoon chasing the silver ball. Quarter machine is available and most machines accept dollar bills. Operators are lovely and responsive and the vibes are great.

The passion these pinball partners share is evident in the selection and incredible condition of these games. Not to mention the fun decor!

Awesome! It's an arcade, just pinball, no video games, no beers. Uses quarters, not tokens. There's a change machine for quarters, no attendant, but bring your own quarters if you have some. The pinball games are amazingly well restored and maintained. This arcade is clearly a labor of love, beautiful woodland decor, and beautiful pinball machines with crisp flippers and perfectly restored playfields with all the pop ups and toys working! What I was most impressed with is the choice in machines. The sel

Drove two hours here just to find that the quarter machines were out of quarters because people use it for nearby laundry. Even though it was out, people were still coming in trying to get quarters for laundry. I had to go into the nearby bar for quarters and they gave me heck for doing so. So FYI if coming here, you probably won't be able to get quarters to play. Too bad because I want to give the place my money, but I left without playing much pinball at all.

Having a Medieval Madness machine walking distance from home has done wonders for my mental health. Love you Pop?s

What a great spot! A great line up of pinball machines in fantastic condition, not that common to find! A great way to have some fun!

i loved theatre of magic and medieval madness!!!! i wish pinball was still common these days ?? but pop's was so fun!!!!!

Awesome location with 10 pinball machines. Highly recommended as one of the best pinball spots in the Boston area.

Top tier pinball, amazing people

Had a great time at pop's last night with my wife and grown daughter. What a quaint little spot for some great pinball.

Great selection of machines in great condition. Operators are friendly and responsive. Beautiful horse paintings everywhere.

What an amazing place. A cool spot to chill before or after you grab a bite and a drink at the market. An energetic vibe that needs to be taken in.

A hidden gem. If you're in the area, stop by. It's in a decent cluster of cafes as well, so make the trip if you like pinball.

An awesome and fun new addition to Bow Market. Great selection on mint condition pinball machines ??

Few machines but awesome time

Cool that you're all alone in there, but tables are beat up and expensive for their age.

Unique selection of old and new games. Prices are fair.

Great selection of machines, all well maintained, in a great location.

Shouts out to all the homies playing Theatre of Magic!

Great casual spot for pinball!

Best place for pinball in Somerville!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
