Love this place for all the great Pinball machines. They just expanded with more fantastic pinball machines. Over 100 now! They have all the latest ones. Even the older classic ones are in top condition. They have plenty of billiard tables that you can play by the hour or ones that take quarters.
Love this place. Best tables in the city for pool. But idk what it is but everytime me and my friends come our eyes start burning really bad after about 30 minutes of playing. I'm not sure if it's because of the fryer or what but it's every time and all of us say the same thing like why do our eyes burn every-time ! No complaints about anything else ! I would just love for this issue to be somewhat fixed so me and my buddies can stay longer when we come .
I love this place, especially now that it has been expanded to twice its size! There are dozens of pinball machines, a lot of ticket type machines and of course, about two dozen pool tables. I only found one retro video game, but it had multiple games I played as a kid installed on it. There is a full bar and a full kitchen. It's mostly bar food. There are many taller pub tables with chairs to match. I don't think that there are regular height tables. Everyone I saw there was having a great time.
Seems like a cool spot but we were there with 2 adults and 3 kids and there was NOBODY around to take drink or food orders. Plenty of people playing pool had empty drinks too. Place was pretty busy and the bar was nuts to butts so wasn't easy to get served there either. Seems like a big miss not to have a waiter or waitress waking around taking orders. Would have stayed longer and spent a lot more money on food and games but kids were hungry so we left.
This place is pretty awesome. Half pinball and half pool hall. Lots of pool tables and about 80 pinball machines. We were there on a Monday night and there were a couple of people on the floor fixing pinball machines. It's really cool to have an active person working to fix them, I'm sure it takes a lot of manage with as many pinball machines as they have. The one thing is they are a bit rude. Twice we were playing a machine and were asking to move because they were trying to get by with tools or another
This is an adult facility Friday and Saturday nights 9pm to close. ID required at the door. Nice pool hall with a lot of pinball games. There are also other video games you can play. They had 4 or 5 dart boards too. This place is a good place to take a date. We did not eat food so I'm only rating on what I saw other people order.
It is a good place to have a couple drinks and hangout with friends. They have a variety of pool tables, dart machines, arcade games for entertainment and as well they also have lottery games. The place itself is pretty big. Spent around one hundred dollars for about 4 hours. They do check for I D's after 9pm so must be 21 and over.
Keep this place a secret!! They have a billion pinball machines and many are only $.50! **No kids allowed!! :-)** Awesome pub food menu! Good folks working here. $9 PBR pitchers! $3.50 bottles! This place didn't get the memo that they can quadruple their prices due to ?inflation?, don't tell them!! I'm going here at least once a week. This is a killer local hangout spot.
Recently booked a party here. The group consensus was that the (open bar) drinks were watered down to the point that nobody got even the least bit tipsy, which is extremely upsetting considering the cost of the event. The woman at the main register was rude and short with our entire group for the whole duration of the event. The chef was the most helpful staff member and was the only one to come over to our group and check in on us. The food was decent enough and the atmosphere was nice for playing pool. Ov
Was looking for a place to go on a rainy Saturday for some pool and pinball. This place is great, a dozen pool tables, darts, several dozen pinball and arcade games all well maintained. Kid friendly, but not a crazy chuckle cheese or Dave and busters vibe.
This place is actually pretty cool, the games aren't too expensive and they're fun, but I can't go here anymore because it constantly smells so bad. They should invest in better kitchen ventilation instead of the expansion because it's hazy inside and reeks of fish fry year round. My hair even smells like this place after playing a few rounds of pool.
have lived in buffalo since 2000 and have just now tried Pocketeer Billiards and Sports Bar and am not impressed in the least. First impression walking in is that it's TOO dark, TOO loud, and come on, $1 a game for pinball? I blew through a roll of quarters in under 1/2hr, the tables seem to be leveled at their fastest speed, 9 degrees. Wasn't there for more than 10min and my partner was already sweating and she wasn't even doing anything. Had a machine eat my 4 quarters and couldn't even be bothered to
Love this spot and excited that they extended the place to hold more arcade games but the vodka has to be watered down quite a bit and so I'd recommend bottles/cans to drinks
Most amazing pinball collection we've seen. They have it all. Super impressed. Could have stayed there all night. Ordered the wings. They were good. Beer was cold.
Very, good place for pinball and pool. You can have food and drinks. All machines are working perfectly. I love this place.
I stopped by there to check it out with my daughter and didn't really care too much for it I honestly think that there are way too many pinball machines which could have been room for other games and the prize area for the kids it's about half the size of what it used to be and there's next to nothing there so we'll probably be looking for another arcade.
The female bartender has a attitude problem. On top of you wait forever to get your drink. I had got 2 drinks and left. They need a third bartender. The male bartender is pretty cool though.
Great service will definitely recommend to family and friends best place in buffalo to go and play pool and have some drinks at the same time
Great place for pool and pin ball games they have a bubble hockey table, Foosball, ice hockey table and at least 50 or more pinball machines. If you are a pinball enthusiast then this is the place for you!I am shocked by how many pinball machines they have. Also several good video games. But the sell food and beer and spirits which is convenient it's overall a very fun place to go. I thoroughly enjoyed this place! I had so much fun at the place it's great they have a ton of billiard tables so there is usual
I very much enjoy going here , play some pool and love all the pinball games, plus they have expanded and have even more games to play
Came to play Pinball and was NOT disappointed! There are easily 50+ pinball machines. The place is clean, well kept, the games are in great working order. Although I don't play billiards/pool, I could tell the tables were cared for and maintained. Most tables are 1 dollar pins, but there are quite a few 50 cent pins. $5 took me a long way and I had a lot of fun! Don't miss Pocketeer's!
Always a good time at Pocketeer. Many pool tables, a full bar, a great kitchen and endless pinball machines!
The new addition is awesome! Grabbed some dinner and enjoyed some pinball!
If you like pinball, you have to go here. Some of the games are a little dirty and some have credit dots but they're still really fun and have a HUGE variety! Plus, 4 games are set to free play every Tuesday!
Fantastic place. Lots of machines ,pool tables.lots of space and they are making it bigger.
Love it. This place is always very nice. Has great food. Fried pickles are very tasty, and the garlic bread it yummy, but it's made like a pizza.
Cool place to hang out shoot a little pool and some pinball. They have a few other games that dispense tickets for prizes. Most pin ball machines take dollars. You pay for pool by the hour.
I'm such a huge fan of this place and it's my go to hang out spot to get some decent food, great drinks, good specials, and fun games of pool and pinball. The variety of their pinball machines is greatly unmatched, and I do have a bunch of arcade style games with tickets and a redemption booth for small prizes. I've never been disappointed while visiting, and the staff is super friendly and welcoming.
Nice place great service, just need better ventilation from the kitchen
Honestly best arcade around buffalo. Good wings too
Pretty nice place to just grab some friends and go. The atmosphere is cool and it's cooler that they have like 20 million pinball machines in the back :) It is kid friendly certain days and that's nice! The little littles should stay home but your big ones could come play. It was easy to just pay for the balls at the counter, grab your sticks then as I kept saying get ready for this straight shot! I'm excited to go back and the wings were nice, even with me getting there late the taste was (Hot Honey BBQ)
Came here with my husband for a chill date night and it was exactly what we were looking for. Well maintained tables, good prices, busy but not crowded. Had a fun couple of games and will absolutely be back for some drinks and play pinball.
This place is absolutely awesome. Never would have imagined to find such a Pinball paradise in Buffalo. This is one of the best places to play pinball you can find. Friendly staff and really good food too! Most of the games played without any issues, but a couple had some minor issues, but that's typical of pinball. They were all clean and well taken care of.
Table prices are pretty high to play pool with anymore than 2 people. But you can get a lot of pinball time in. The food here is fine. Not incredible, but satisfies like most bars do. But the boneless wings did come out really great for us.
Love going to Pocketeer for some pinball action on a lazy Saturday especially with kids. I know may not seem too kid friendly but if you have a child that's a pinball fanatic, it's great. Most pinball machines are a $1 to play and some are $0.75 or $0.50. They do also have a coin machine if you didn't come prepared.
OMG GREATEST PLACE EVER!!! Pool, darts, and other games and great food and drinks
I love this place, but you guys please need to do something about the air quality in there. It's disgusting like air fryer grease every time we make the drive out here. I'm giving up on playing pool here until the exhaust fans are cleaned/fixed or whatever. It's such a shame because this would be a regular place for us weekly but I cannot breathe in there. Fix your establishment. Thanks.
This is a great time. You like darts, pool, arcade games, or pinball, this place has a bunch of each to accommodate. The food is usually solid and they have multiple restrooms. They specialize in pinball. I guess call me a little bit of a perfectionist, but I just hate the new style pinball machines. There's a lot of them here, but they have a lot of old ones too. They have free unlimited play on select machines. They just need to display which machines are free that day somewhere visible and possible limit
Went here to play pinball while staying in Buffalo. Lots of many new machines. All of the pinball machines were relatively new, no old mechanical machines. Most are $1.00 per play. About a dozen machines at .50 cent. Most were in excellent working condition.
We went to my friend?s birthday. It was a fun and entertaining atmosphere. The food was decent and the service was great as well!
Enjoyed Pocketeer Billiards very much. A great way to spend an evening. Went there to check out the pinball arcade and was not disappointed! Tons of games, pinball, video games and billiards of course. Friendly staff, lots of parking, decent pub fare food and drinks at reasonable prices. Family friendly atmosphere and a lot of fun. Dig out your quarter$ and go spend a couple hours at Pocketeer!!!
I had never seen a place with so many pins in one place until today. A 20 got me 3 hours of pure enjoyment. No food or drink, i was just there for the pins. I will definitely make this my "go to" for my preferred outings. I am extremely satisfied and am very happy that the place didn't shut down permanently and they were able to fight to hang on. Thanks for the fight!! I appreciate you!! NOTE, I did have a video scanning the whole 3 isles of pins but it was over 30 seconds long so it wouldn't let me
Fun place! Great selection of pinball machines but also many other games
Another great visit. Consistent, great service. Gary is a master in the kitchen. The recent expansion is fantastic. Hope they can open those doors in the front come summertime.
I haven't been here in years. Some much has changed for the good. And with the expansion, I wonder what more is coming. Arcade and pinball games. Kinda weird that I had to be padded down and IDed before coming in. Overall, it's a great place and we will be coming back here.
Pinball games galore! Gets a little kooky after nine, it's better during the day.
Love this place! If you like beer, pinball or billiards, this place is for you. Reasonable drink prices, many games to choose from.
This place is the best spot for pinball in town, plus billiards, good food, tvs with sports on. Really good service. Neat events, including pinball league. Different specials every night of the week, including 4 free pinball machines every Tuesday night. Worth checking out!
Been here over a dozen times. Food is amazing, always bring the family for competition pinball. The workers here are top tier! Always on top of their game inspiring everyone around them! Thank you pocketeers!
A nice place, pool tables need maintenance. Fantastic amount of pinball machines if you love pinball. I believe there's 80 machines. I've never seen so many in one place. It's a nice place to go but if you're going for the pool tables, they're a little rough.
I have had some great experiences here. Loves the tables, love the ambiance.
Excellent place for pinball and pool! Owners are very nice. Typical bar food menu with decent pricing.
This place is awesome! This is the place to play pinball!
Never seen such clean and excellent working pinball machines. I travel a lot and always look for pinball places, these are the best condition I've ever seen. From the old Williams and Ballys, to the new Sterns, everything worked perfect. Highly recommend. And don't judge a book by its cover. It can seem like a "non family friendly poolhall", but there were plenty of familys and the staff were all nice people!
Very fun place to go play pool, throw darts, or play some classic arcade games. We had a supreme sample platter and were satisfied with the taste, though the portions were small for $17. The pool tables are all in decent condition and they have pool cues of varying sizes all over the place. I would not recommend booking the table by the dart board, as the elbow room is shared in that corner of the bar, but I can't imagine that all the other pool tables would be booked since there are nearly 2 dozen laid ou
Excellent place to go have fun, not your average bar, the others don't have pinball and $4 tacos. Staff is great too. A+ Great place, even if you're not really a bar person or non drinker type. Bring your kids to play pinball as long as it's not fri or Saturday passed 9 pm. Free play for 4 of the games on Tuesdays.
Love Pocketeer from the always pleasant staff, to the great drinks and surprisingly delicious food. Always a fun place to go hang out
I haven't had this much fun in a while. This place is incredible. Highly recommend, will be returning. Staff is amazing, games are amazing, can't say enough good things.
A must visit if you are into pinball or just looking for a change of pace from your average bar. Drink and food prices are reasonable, good service. Pin machines are extremely well maintained. Enough classic and new machines alike to keep you busy for hours if not days. Godzilla, Medival Madness, Adam's Family, all the greats!
I was a long time customer I will never return to this place again. I opened a tab the bar tender said the would be a $50 pre authorization to open a tab I said no problem. My tab ended with tip at $148$. I wake up check my bank I was charged that as well as $250. The manager said I don't know why you were charged that call your bank. After going back and forth they could not provide a reason or a document showing why. I did not authorize this charge and will not have access to this money now for who knows
Great place not the best air quality
Love, love, love this place! Worth the drive to Buffalo from Canada. Great pinball machines, I can kill hours here. The staff are all so nice and welcoming. Barry the owner is great! We always have so much fun here.
Great lower cost spot for a night of entertainment, large number of pool tables and a huge selection of pinball machines, and some arcade games as well. They also serve light food and have a nice bar.
It was my first time here, and I plan on returning very soon. We loved the HUGE variety of pinballs machines and the arcade games. The prices to play at the 9 ft tables were fair but I think we got our money's worth of just CASUAL play at the smaller tables.
20+ pool tables and great video games and pin ball machines. Great place for group gatherings and a place to bring the kids.
If you're looking for something fun to do any night of the week this is the place! The staff are the absolute best and take care of you as quickly as they can! They have many pool tables to play on including bar tables and full sized tables. They have darts and tons of pinball machines and a few arcade games. This place is definitely worth the night out!
Great selection of pinball machines but the layout is absolutely horrible. In order to get to pinball machines you have to walk around/through the pool table area. Some guy was wildly swinging his cue because people were trying to navigate their way from the back where the pinball machines are to the front where the pool tables are. Put the pool tables in back so we don't have to walk through pool table area.
Awesome place to hang out all day! Passing through the area and stumbled on this place on google. So I brought my 11 year old son. We loved it! It was like going into a time machine and coming out in a 1990s pool hall. Tons of pinball games! Awesome games too! From old classic to brand new high tech... Owner was there and played a couple games with us (on the house). Waitress was great. Food was great. I will come back any time I'm in town.
Cool place for pool and pin ball over 30 games there
Very cool place we will be back! Just what I like about a bar and often look for only I didn't realize it was a bar too! I thought we would stop to play a game of pool killing some time the other day. What we found was a bar, WITH HAPPY HOUR! It was not too crowded but great prices with a great selection of beers (not my thing but if you like that) I was impressed with the fact they had wine, cider and items I can't find when I go to many bars and pubs since I am not a beer drinker. Huge selection of games
Love all the variety of food! They have a nice selection of draft beers and if your into pinball - this place is by far the best! They have tons of pinball games! I loved it when the old owner Ron was in charge and with the new changes from the new owners - I think I love it even more now!!! Great job guys!!!
This place is awesome. Even the other customers are nice and will give you their free games or tips on how to beat certain pinball machines. Really cool place.
Fantastic place to play pool with a bunch of friends, love the fact that they have arcade and pinball machines as well, you can spend hours here. I deducted one star for location?not Pocketeers fault, but the area surrounding it can be a bit'dicey, so exercise caution when entering and leaving after dark,
I love coming here with my wife and shooting some pool and playing some of the best pinball tables I've ever seen. The place is clean, and if pool isn't your thing there's a lot of other things to do as well. The food is very good, and the price isn't terribly high, but this definitely isn't your cheapest option for a night out with friends or a date. Given the choice between here, and just about anywhere else I've been to in the area, I'm definitely going with Pocketeer.
The selection of pinball machines and quality arcade games like bubble hockey and bean bag toss. Learned from the owner that several of the games are made locally and had extensive knowledge of all the systems available. Beer selection was also top notch. Snooker was available as an option to play. Tuesday free play day was an amazing deal, but we as a small party had a great time throwing 30 bucks down for a great time.
Awesome place. The overall vibe is enjoyable, they play good music, they've got not just pool but arcade games and a TON of pinball machines. The food bangs too, so it's hard to find anything not to like.
Nice place with a friendly atmosphere with plenty of parking. Their pool table needs maintenance.
At first I was skeptical, but as soon as I stepped inside, I knew this was my kind of place! They've got everything, arcade games, everyone's favorite decade of pinball machines, no matter how old you are, great food and snacks AND fantastic drink specials. If it wasn't 25 minutes away I'd be here everyday. Take your date here, they'll love it!
Always a great time! Between the pool tables and the massive amount of pinball machines, there's always something to enjoy.
Amazing place 65 pinball machine!!! Can't wait to go back
Cool place. Lots of tables and pinball machines and a few electronic dart boards. Good beer choices and decent food as well while you are there.
This place is awesome! My wife and I come almost every week. Tons of well maintained pinball machines to play, good food, friendly staff, and if pinball isn't your thing they have plenty of pool tables and other games!
We go for the pinball machines. Wife and I play for an hour or two every so often ... reminds us of when we were a young couple in love (Now we're a middle aged couple in love LOL). Place is clean, lighting and noise levels are reasonable. Other guests are well behaved. Good time and great value!
I'd give 6 stars if I could! My wife took me here for my birthday! Came up from Erie. Couldn't be more pleased with the experience! I'm a big fan of pinball and wow if this isn't pinball heaven! I think the website said they have 70 games. Nice mix of classic games and new machines. Definitely some bucket listers like Addams Family, Terminator 2, Black Knight, Creature From the Black Lagoon etc. Machines are well maintained as well! Good action! Great service, amazing wings, great beer! Pinball Heaven!
We love this place. When visiting, we always try to make it here. Food was great also. Little pricey for pool table rentals. 52 bucks for only 1.5 hrs.
Hi, I went here last night for the first time and I really enjoyed myself! They have a thurs night special where you can grab a pool table and play all night for only $10 a person. I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, music with a beat you can dance too (if you want) and friendly staff who did a great job at putting up with "those" patrons. It wasn't over crowded... there was plenty of space and a TON of pinball machines too. I think this place is a hidden gem, come check it out! ??
Lots of decent professional grade pool tables. Very helpful and respectful staff. Great place to take friends for a relaxing night of pool or games. Sometimes you need to share with people who don't have the best taste in music, but it's all well and good.
Totally honest. I have had many good experiences here. Be aware that this is a bar that rents table time, not a pool hall. I was disappointed (walked out) after waiting 20 minutes while the TWO bar tenders served the bar patrons and ignored me and my pool cue. Just being real.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
