Old school arcade. Don't see too many places with tickets still. Games are good. Some old and some new. Nice mix. Large shooting station in the back. Prices are really good too. Got a lot of bullseyes. But some of them don't work for sure. I def hit them.

Great place to visit! Lots of games to play and enjoy. You can win tickets which can be traded in for prizes. The shooting gallery in the rear of the arcade. Is fun to try out. Considering it's been there well over 30 years.

Excellent arcade with a lot of nostalgia accompanied with newer and new age games and prizes. Love the old school tickets and quarters not cards to play. Worth going to when in Lake George.

The kids had a great time at this arcade. This was my personal favorite arcade when I came as a kid. I haven't been back since the start of Covid. It's very clean here and they have a lot of modern machines. The shooting gallery has always been my go to. I have to say I'm disappointed in how all the machines are $1 per play. Many of the games should be .50 cents. Not sure if because of Covid they are making up for the damages, but many of the machines prices could definitely be lowered.

Definitely a staple in LG, been here since I was a kid. Jason is the best! Helped my boyfriend find his wallet that had dropped on the street using his camera footage. Was patient and helpful! Thank you!

This place deserve less than one star. The Photo Booth machine doesn't work at all we spent 10 dollars and when we asked for assistance they said they can't do anything at all so we pretty much wasted 10 dollar.

Fond memories here from my childhood and happy to see not much has changed. It's nice this arcade still uses quarters and tickets instead of cards. All games are very well maintained. Shooting range is an all time favorite! They should really have management on site for holiday weekends. Teen staff was pretty aloof and in need of guidance.

i?m very reminiscent about shooting galleries ever since the one we used to have at hampton beach in new hampshire. this one resembled very close to that one, so i got to relive some good memories here

What a fun arcade! Not too loud or busy on a Saturday night. A few machines had issues, but most were marked so we didn't lose any money. Overall a great time had by us ranging from 17 years old to 60+.

Yes, arcades are a chaotic mess of children and games that can always be more sanitary. But for $10, two sisters in their 20?s can have a really fun evening reminiscing about their childhood summers in Lake George and then give away their tickets to kids who just want to win that big prize :) I mean, come on? 50 cents for ski ball? Sign me up!

Kids had fun, and it's a decent game selection. Nearly every game is at least $1 though, so expect to drop a decent amount of money to entertain the family for about 30-40 minutes.

Playland Arcade is so much fun for adults and kids alike. We had such a fun afternoon there when it was raining outside. We are planning to go back when we visit Lake George for the winter carnival. Great place!

I've been coming here (playland arcade) since the mid/Late 70?s and early 80?s and recently 2018 so in other words my whole entire existence. What has happened to this iconic Arcade all they have is the skeet all the shooting gallery (which hardly works) gone are the western shooting arcades where you draw your gun and shoot your opponent in a make believe western showdown . Gone are all the iconic arcades replaced with stupid arcades where you Need to collect 2000+ ticket coupons to win . This iconic arcad

This arcade is a must! Every year since I was a kid on our annual trip to Lake George, I stop in for some fun with my family. They have games for everyone, from Deal or No Deal and skeeball for the older folks, to Mario Kart and a new basketball game for the younger folks. And the prizes are obtainable and decent quality. We still have a few of the prizes years later!

Every time I go up to the lake with my boyfriend, we always find time to go. Going there makes us feel like kids. We love it :) Such a fun spot

Arcade located in Downtown Lake George. Small area but with lots of entertainment.

great mix of old school and new school. skee ball and a shooting gallery! uses quarters and tickets rather than hidden fees point cards. loved this place and you can just walk in and play as much as you want!

The arcade itself is a bit run down, but the games are still fun. I went with my two year old and needed to change a diaper. I asked an older gentleman who worked there if they had a private, safe place to change the stinky diaper. He very rudely and not apologetic at all, said they don't have a public restroom. I calmly asked again if they had a safe place to change my child's soiled diaper as we were standing next to the staff room and changing a diaper would only take a minute. He told me to cross the da

This is our family's go to arcade in Lake George Village. There's no messing around with filling cards up with money, just put your money in the machine and get some quarters and play the games. Every year we come there are upgrades throughout without getting rid of classics like the shooting gallery. Highly recommended for fun with the family.

Meh! The games are not great. It serves its purpose to keep a child a bit busy.

Best ARCADE in lake george

Fun place for the kids to play video games and collect tickets for prizes. We usually spend time here after dinner.

Great arcade with wide array of games. Some games can be expensive (As much as $2 per play). Some games had problems like jammed quarters, but the staff were right on the problems and quickly fixed them. (Extra credits appeared on the machines due to the maintenance and they happily let us enjoy the free plays!) Very large selection on prizes were there for people to choose from. Overall a great arcade!

I really love this arcade arcade it's amazing the people are very sweet and kind and help with the machines anytime one person specific gave my son 1000 tickets for my son turning in 20 dollars lost this place is amazing go to playland arcade

Great experience. Really has that older feel with a new school twist. It was nice seeing older arcade cabinets in there, definitely creates a nostalgic feel to the scene. Will definitely visit again next time I'm in the area.

Meh. Lot of rip of games. Like the quarter pusher things. Will say though that kids behind counter are friendly and patient. Just not me "element" I guess. If you don't have kids under 10, then why.....?

Great place to cool off and let the kids loose. Some games are the dollar but staff was right on it giving you your game or two for the problem. Only gripe is $1.00 minimum per game. Twins had fun for $20 so it wasn't a bust

Every game is a dollar. They take actual quarters and not this new card activated game stuff. Win actual tickets for prizes. Very cool arcade. Reminds me of when I was a kid.

Nice arcade with lots of games. The only issue is their aren't many prizes to choose from, even small things, unless you have over 500 tickets. The kids just ended up keeping their ticket slips. Other than that, good fun!

I love arcades. There is just something about the whole experience of all the sounds and lights of an arcade that is so unique. This arcade has some great things in it, including a classic shooting game in the back that I believe used to be part of Storytown/Great Escape. I also love arcades that use good old quarters and not annoying tokens. I had a blast here with my three year old playing some of the very same things I played 30 years ago.

One of the better arcades in Lake George

We went twice due to a rainy week and we liked it both times. Coins do get stuck but staff is helping as soon as they are called. Awards are ok. Place looks well maintained. Kids had fun ??

We have been coming to Lake George every year since 1974 and enjoyed playing the games at your place. We spent a couple of thousand dollars here. We look forward to it. This year we walked in and seen that you drastically increased your prices. We left and didn't play one game. It's a shame but we won't be back!

Stood with my boys for over 20 min waiting so they could pick out their prizes while a older lady turned around 4 different times and completely ignored us

Average arcade. Arcade gun shooting in the back has been there for years but has seen better days. Still fun tho and most the targets work. Tickets are easy to get but watch the prizes. Many can be found for sale in the nearby shops for $2 or $3 and you need to spend way more to get the tickets. The few non-ticket games are cool. Cold AC. No Restroom.

Most of the games are a doller. You get tickets according to your score and you trade these in for merchandise. My two grandkids used $25 each in quarters and were able to each get a smsll stuffed animal. They did have a great time though. No food or restrooms here.

Staff was rude. Over priced the other arcades in the area are much more worth your time. The cherry on top was some 18 year telling me he was the owner?

?twas belike the largest arcade in lake george. A most bussin place. I most say there are a lot of children running around here on a weekend. But for $10 i hath a blast playing the games and won what is bid a cap revolver. I shall use it well 'I mine crusade

Great arcade! Went in today just a few minutes before closing and the shooting range was powered down but Chris and the other employees were very nice and turned it back on so me and my family could play a game. Always great games and great service.

Dont go. They raised thier prices to a dollar a game with the worst prizes. Staff is rude and when the kids loose quarters they are rude and act like bullies. Stay away and go someplace else.

By FAR the worst of the three main arcades on Canada St. Extremely dated throughout, with a large number of broken/malfunctioning games. While arcades breaking down are an inevitability, it's the employees dismissiveness towards patrons that isn't acceptable. In 20 minutes, we stumbled across a ski-ball machine that only had 8 balls AND wasn't counting any balls in the 20 or 30 rings, a toddler ride that ate quarters and wouldn't start, a mini-bowling game that wouldn't return the ball and a motorcycle g

Great selection of games and not terribly expensive. Had a great time. Decent selection of prizes. We also appreciated the hand sanitizer stations being stationed around the arcade.

Great arcade, tons of prizes to try and win . The only thing I feel could be changed is instead of the paper tickets , have the reloadable cards because it makes it more convenient and with that your tickets you win automatically go right on your card and when you feel you have more than enough tickets to get what ever prizes you what the clerk just deducts that amount of tickets from your card ??

Gr8 atmosphere for the entire family

This place is a great escape with kids when it rains in Lake George. They aren't stingy with the tickets and the prizes are not too bad. Fun games and pretty clean.

Amazing spot with some nostalgic games ??

Very cool place it made the day , I also talked to a gentleman that has worked there for 53 years and still working on the machines.. its a must visit when in town lots of a variety of games for all ages.

Good selection of games. Good jackpots on ticket games. Plenty of ticket counters, change machines and atm's. No public restroom but there is the public restroom across the street down by the beach.

Best, best, best gameroom in all of Lake George!!! Very friendly, helpful staff. Best place for redeeming tickets. Air conditioning. Lots of game choices. Something for people of all ages.

Love the workers! Clean & friendly! The games are up to date and there's so much to do it is great to spend the whole day there.

Best arcade in Lake George. Easy to win tickets & great prizes.

The worker there yelled at me for miss reading what the money card reloader. Never giving my money to this arcade ever again. No not recommend. They will be very aggressive and rude.

Fun, a lot of games. The ticket redemption machines do not give the correct count. Count your tickets before you put them in!

Although we spent a small fortune, our kids were happy with their prizes, had fun with the games and the people working there were very kind.

NOT OPEN 24 HOURS - HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED

An old but well-maintained arcade. They still use tickets and not point cards, which gives a sense of nostalgia.

This place is fun for younger children. Would have rated it higher but there were games that didn't give out tickets, and out of service.

The games were fun for the grandkids, staff is friendly. They helped the kids use their tickets with patience.

Most games are for tickets, 2 of the games never spit out the tickets. Only good thing it has is the shooting gallery. Some of the games the quarters got jammed.

Place is great fun for kids and adults. Staff is very friendly and helpful! Will definitely come back next year!

Place was almost too popular. Hard to move in there. The good thing is being able to bring your tickets/coupons back at any time.

The grandson had a blast and so did papa and nana. There were a lot of people in there but no one was being obnoxious and crazy

Fun arcade, good selection of games and prizes for the kids. Always a good temperature in there, ac when it's hot and heat on at night when it gets chilly

Drove all the way here because it says open got here and it's 1251 pm and not open wasted 45 min of driving and have to listen to my son be upset

Love this place. Alot of fun. Great prize redemption. Great staff. Fun for all ages. Right in lake George, across from lake. Beautiful.

Always a great place to bring the kids or even just go yourself and play some fun games to just relax n have a good time.

Good games. No bathrooms and they could use some hand sanitizer. But, overall, it's a great place for the kids to play some games.

Fun place to bring the family. Some games seem to always be out of service. We always have a blast when we come here.

Love the basketball games!! Fun for everyone

Very unhappy kicked out bc i have a service dog ! No signs posted that dogs are not allowed just no food or drinks i was told there was a sign and there was not ! Apparently people with medical issuses are no permited here we will never go back

Always a fun time at the arcade. But as a 40 year old I miss the games of the old arcades, not just the ticket games of today's arcades.

Went there today with my daughter and one of the machines got stuck with my quarters and told staff some teenage punk unstuck it but refused to give me all the quarters back saying that he's not giving them back to me

Best arcade in the Lake George Village. The shooting gallery is the best.

Fun Place! Would like to see some of the old time games. Bring back the Fortune Telling Machine!

great fun place in Lake George, they have some old classic games, and a shooting western range inside. A+

Great place for kids n adults to have fun good prizes too

So happy the arcade has re-opened! We felt very safe and everything was clean.

Tons of games they keep getting new ones year to year. Plus they have an old time shooting range in the back lots of fun.

Always fun & they offer to keep track of all of your tickets on a card for future use!

My granddaughter loved it. Only complaint too many redemption machines out of order.

Great variety of older and newer games, and attendants were quick to help retrieve stuck coins!

Great arcade where you still use quarters not cards! My kids love it!!!

This place has remained the same in a good way for a very long time. I came here as a child and now return with my children.

We love coming here every year its fun and the prizes are nice too.

Great place for lots of fun. You need to play a lot to win big prizes. $$$$$

This arcade is good to take your kids to. Highly recommend

The place was good. I didn't like that the machines only took coins .

Went with my daughter very chill!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
