We had an amazing time, We had free play that last for 12-4 for $20 per person. We ordered Pizza and drinks we had the best time as adults and all 7 teens and preteens were able to play their hearts out. The staff is amazing, accommodating and welcoming. They were considerate and kind even when they were so busy, they never forgot anything.
Check out this place!!! The chicken wings are outstanding, along with fries/onion rings, and the pizza is delicious!!! Also, they have a huge selection of beers/beverages. Lots of arcade games within the pub, Mike, owner and his staff are fantastic, great environment for the entire family. My husband and I will certainly be back for those chicken wings. ??
Fun place to place old school pinball, darts, and claw machines. Crowds are hit or miss. Before 9pm, it is family friendly even though though some couples let their "kids" (not actual children if you understand) out early for some day drinking. Otherwise, it is fun, whether alone or with friends. The food was good. Some bartenders will help with drink suggestions, while another will just give you the menu without any help. ????? But it was fun. Picture posted of the side. Entrance is down the ramp/stairs in
I have been several times and it's always fun and a great experience. I enjoy the food as much as the games, i don't really drink but the drinks I have had are also amazing. The chicken parm sandwich is dope, everyone should go check it out!
I love P1Up and have been coming here a good bit over the years. My last visit I was a bit disappointed that literally every machine was 4 credits to play. So essentially $1 for every single play. I know they have to make their money, but they used to leave the high prices to air hockey (which needs repair), and the newer pinball machines. It used to be a fun place to spend a couple hours in the afternoon but with the new pricing you can quickly go through $20 in ?credits?.
Worth at least a visit to try it out! Lots of old school video games, skee ball and a bar. Great for couples' to quickly get out of the house to grab a drink or for the family to grab a pizza. Pizza tastes ok. Drinks from the bar are pretty good. Limited indoor seating upstairs and downstairs. Lots of seating outside, but it's mostly used for those that want to smoke. Stays open pretty late. Very friendly staff.
Decent selection of games considering the size of the space. I would have rated higher, but the fact that every game in the place is 4 credits and the cheapest game card you can buy results in leaving 2 credits unusable without adding more money leaves me feeling dirty. Hope they consider this going forward.
$5 cover charge but worth it ! 80s video games are no extra charge , food was good , tried the brat and potato salad , brat was awesome but pickled potato salad isn't my preference, the standard mayo potato salad for me , I like the patio with corn hole and picnic tables although I recommend an area just for smokers , hope they get a larger area for pinball, but a lot of fun , I will be back , thanks !!
Great place to meet up with friends! Only 5 bucks for unlimited play. It used to be unlimited play on everything but not you have to pay for each individual game of all the pin ball. That's what my son and I would go for so pretty bummed out but I understand. Bar and food available. Great place to get the co workers together. Sunday's they allow under 21 in for family day. We used to go after church on Sunday but haven't been back bc of the pin ball.
Some of these games were fun, but nothing cost less than 4 tokens. When you're buying tokens, you have to buy 18. So no matter what you're left over with 2. Plus, the cards are a waste of plastic. Please find a way to recycle them.
Always and have been a regular for a good while now...best evening to come out personal preference would be Thursday nights and Saturday nights by 9pm when Karaoke ?? is going on Dj Bernie is the man and myself and crowd do cheer on anyone new who sings. Atmosphere is the best there in my book 110%
Highly recommend this local arcade. It was so easy to load and swipe a card rather than handle coins for each game. Skee ball, air hockey, and lots of pinball machines too. Full bar and food menu as well.
Awesome coin-op arcade and great pizza. Fun for adults and kids. As adults only time starts in the evening, visited with my teenage son on a Friday afternoon, not busy, and had excellent service from the gentleman working the bar. My son said the pizza was the best he'd had in a long time. Only suggestion would be to have some public hand sanitizer stations. We found one bottle by the bar but that was it. Between Covid concerns and general hygiene with touching arcade machines others are using, would
Amazing place. a bunch of old and new pin ball machines. Loads of fun. Recently, though, they raised the prices on their games. Which they are indeed entitled to do, but I was blindsided and I don't like being blindsided so I had to take a star away.
Love the bar, been coming for years now. Great Pinball selection and great staff. Only downside is there aint enough surveillance in the parking lot for the amount of homeless that come around or things that can go down there and police dont ever patrol for it to be right across the street from the police station. Overall tho, great experience, great atmosphere, great staff, everything about the business itself is great
The vibes are smooth and cool, like a ceiling fan. New and retro games. Food and drinks are out of this world. This is the spot to take a load off and enjoy yourself.
For those that want to visit, the pinball hall is closed off entirely for tournaments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. Has some other "retro"ish games. After 9pm, no children allowed. Overall good, just think they should warn people of tournaments on google maps.
I would never expect to find a place like this in Rock Hill. We came for a friend's birthday and had a great time. It's kind of hard to find. The address is on Main Street, but it's not really right on Main Street. It's down on the side of a building. It would help if they put a sign on Main Street directing you where it was. There's a free parking garage near by. It's 21+ only and they check ids at the door. There's a $5 cover, cash and card are both accepted. Once you're inside, all arcade games and pi
Best bar in rock hill. Always a good time, great drinks and good service. Weekday events all the time! Check them out if you're in town
Awesome local spot in downtown. The vibe inside is really cool. The food and drinks are great. There's a bunch of cool games like pinball, air hockey, Mario Kart, old arcade games, and darts. There's seating both inside and outside. Great place to go to kill time, alone or with friends.
A great place to have a few drinks and a pizza or wings. Spend a little time enjoying the old retro games like Pac-Man, Frogger and others. Some games are free others take quarters, but all fun.
A lot of fun. Great pinball and great arcade action. Food was pretty good and beer selection is good.
Great games! Pizza, loaded fries, and mozzarella sticks are all on point. Drinks are decent prices and staff is pretty friendly. Very laid back atmosphere and family friendly during the day!
We love this place. Great beers on tap, yummy snacks and lots of awesome games. Will be back again & again !
Good atmosphere, great entertaining place to play pinball. Bar is full of whatever kind of beer and alcohol you could desire. Food was great too. Wish there were more old school video games, but I will be a returning customer.
We went yesterday and the food was great and staff were great. We went as a family of 5 and everyone had a great time. My kids asked this morning when we are going back. It's definitely a pinball bar with a few video games. The combo deals are great and reasonable. Chris was great and so was the owner.
Had a great time here on Friday and went back on Wednesday!
Barcades are awesome! Beer AND old school video games? What's not to love? $5 cover and all the games (arcade and pinball) are on free play!
An absolute blast! I've lived here for over 3 years and only 10 minutes from this place and never knew it was here. I'm so glad I found it and will be returning soon! ??
Awesome place!! Every game is super fun to play, beer is cheap and staff super nice.
Great selection of pinball machines, classic and new, rotated to keep things fresh. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Fun during family hours and after dark.
Great place to eat and do karaoke on Thursday nights
I like this place. I really do. I was waiting several visits before I mentioned this to make sure it wasn't a fluke. The old urine smell in the bathrooms is so pungent. The entire bathroom needs to be mopped and cleaned. There is a very thick visible yellow/orange ring in the toilet. It smells like someone condensed urine and smeared it on the walls.
Unique atmosphere with a decent draft menu. Appetizers are really good! Burgers are okay, but theres better places in town. Lots of cool old arcade style games, with options for both kids and adults alike. Bar area gets a little crowded with folks everywhere, so I dont recommend going just to get a drink during more busy hours. But its a cool place, definitely worth checking out.
I absolutely love coming here! There are deals and combos for game credits and meals! The food and drinks have been delicious every time! All ages have been enjoying this play pad, and there's good reason to! <3
Great place in downtown. Food was good and plenty for sharing. Beer on tap, just not my type but hopefully they will switch out the IPA for fall beer soon. Great assortment of pinball, skeetball, car, and Paxman games. Made for a fun Saturday afternoon avoiding the heat and weather
I came here for my birthday earlier this year and wanted to bring my partner and my dork friends with me this time :) we're having a great time. Delicious drinks, delicious food, and a lot of fun playing pinball, air hockey, basketball, ski ball, guitars hero, pacman vs, and Mario kart. We're definitely coming back!
I lived in Fort Mill for a few years and found out about Player 1UP great selection of video and pinball games drinks and food in Rock Hill worth the drive, I came in from Birmingham (now home) visited my son, grabbed him and his buddy and off to to the arcade , ! GO if you want pinball and avoid CLT and avoid crowds!
It's a small arcade or a mini Dave & busters. There are lots of games to choose from, and most are only a 1 to play. I got a pepperoni and cheese pizza and it was one of the best that I had in awhile. Also they were very generous on the portion of fried mushrooms. Staff was friendly and attentive with staying on top of refilling my soda. Would definitely recommend ??
Great place. They have some of the hardest to find classic machines as well as the latest Sterns. Food and service is very good as well.
Awesome place! Great drinks at a good price. Amazing selection of games all well priced as well so there's hours of fun. It honestly felt like going through a portal into another dimension. We had no idea we spent most of the night there until one of us happened to look at the time. Be careful if you go on a work night, might need to call in sick the next day! We're gonna come back and turn this into a regular spot. 10/10 You need to come here.
Really cool arcade. They have a mix of new games, and some old school video games, pinball, Skee-Ball, and air hockey. It's all coin operated, and they have change machines on the floor. During the day it's all ages, and after 8pm it's 21+. They have a decent bar with different local beers on tap. You can order food there, but I've never tried it. They stay open late and in the evenings, they have nights like karaoke, service industry nights, trivia, etc. Decent place to check out if you want to have
Went out for an anniversary date night on a weekday night, and found this awesome place. If you like creative drinks with a cool atmosphere and want to enjoy some interactive fun while enjoying a drink, this is the place! It was a cool setting to sit and just have a drink or play some arcade games. The staff was very friendly and offer some cool drink ideas. Definitely will stop back in again on a weekend and see how the atmosphere changes with a larger crowd.
This place is always so lively and fun! The food and drink are good, obviously, but I ALWAYS order a Princess Peach. My favorite drink probably ever. The staff is super friendly too and the selection of games (especially pinball) is on point!
Bar tender will ignore you till the last minute and low key discriminates, they will let their friends get wasted but cut you off after 2 shots and a drink. Biggest joke of a bar tender I've ever seen highly recommend the bar next door if you're thinking about going here
It's a great place. The staff is very kind. Our son ( 11) absolutely the loved the retro games. We will most definitely be back.
Great pinball and arcade selection! I'm a bit of a pinhead and would say some of the games aren't all that level and are on extra incline. However, overall, it's a great arcade and bar. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I even saw them refund money, no questions asked, when customers said a machine took their money without giving credits. Good tap beer selection as well with a full bar. That's rare with arcades from my experience. Definitely worth checking this place out.
Would be 4 or 5 Games are great. Bar staff needs organizational help When it gets busy there needs to be a clear plan on how to get drink orders and food orders taken care off. I walked out because of this. Follow up..... the staff has made adjustments. Great atmosphere drinks are good. Pizza is very good. I like the addition of new games and rotation. Pin ball is awesome
This place is amazing. We drove from Gastonia and it was definitely worth the trip. If I lived closer, I'd be here all the time. The food and drinks are amazing. I recommend bowser's breath. The games are really fun and the staff are friendly.
This was a really neat place to visit. Not too crowded. I would estimate 30 arcade machines covering every classic and about 6 pinball machines. We had pizza as well that was really quiet good. If you're on the main Street it can be a little tricky to locate for the first time. The entrance is actually down some stairs between a parking lot and main Street. Outdoor seating and games is also available. Definitely going back.
Love love love this place! Food is great! Everyone is so nice! Jay & Corey are great managers and make sure you're having a great experience! Love the games & late night food options! Everything all in one! Rooftop bar, DJ, adult and family fun!
Awesome selection of pinball machines. Not too busy around lunch time. My kids had a great time playing air hockey and pinball. Would definitely come back again, especially since we know how to get there. It is a little hard to find depending on what direction you come from.
Giving a one because zero isn't available. Went in, not busy at all. Ordered two drinks and then was told ?F y?all? if you don't tip. 1. We were not even given a receipt to sign. 2. I was getting my wallet out to tip, but didn't have a chance before the comment was made. 3. Who says that? We got two drinks the most I was going to give you was $2 anyways for opening a beer and pouring one. Management really needs to reconsider who they have working there. I've worked in the service industry for a very long t
If you have not tried their food you are missing out! At least for this NY?er. Only the 2nd place in our area that reminds me of NY pizzeria flavor . Wings always amazing and the pretzel!! We also have frequented the games etc, but the food has us hooked!
This is a hidden gem in rock hill. The food is all made by hand and very delicious... *not your average bar food* pizza, BBQ, fries, nachos, big pretzels, stuffed pretzel bites, mozzarella sticks, and so much more.. the bar is well equipped with anything you could want or crave, sooooo many games to play that are free fo play. They have claw machines and a 3 other games that are $1 to play but so many other free games to play. If you remember how arcades were in the 80s and early 90s and miss it this is the
Fun retro vibe. Try the funnel sticks. Recommended.
Love this place. Great atmosphere. The bar staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of great games including a good number of pinball machines. I especially love "Cactus Canyon" and my wife loves the "Pinot Grigio" wine.
We came from Columbia, SC to visit and try this arcade and bar out. It was pretty awesome loved all the pin ball games. We had their pizza also it was huge and pretty good also. It was good to have some free play games also, we took our 14 and 10 year old with us and they had a blast. I would definitely go back again.
Cool Pinball arcade, food was good, great drafts. It was a family afternoon, so the high top tables inside were a little tight with kids and families.
So I drove an hour from out of town to visit this arcade under the impression that they had a Marvel vs. Capcom arcade cabinet. Any fan of the game would tell you that unless you're willing to pirate the game, playing this game in an arcade is the only legal means by which to play it. So I get there only to find that the arcade I traveled so far to visit had bootlegged the game themselves. I found the game, or rather the ROM downloaded onto an absolute eyesore of a cabinet among several other games. The cab
They fit a lot of games in their cozy space. Good variety of cocktails and beer. Kids allowed before 8pm. Cup holders at all the games is a big plus. Had a great time with my friend and plan to go back soon.
Such an awesome place, was my first experience there. $5 cover charge is nothing compared to the atmosphere here. Free games, friendly staff, friendly people. Great place to hangout & everything is reasonably priced. Highly recommend the wings. 10/10 place to hangout and chill with friends.
Do not be deterred by the 5 dollar cover charge. It pays for itself. You can also leave, go bar hopping, then come back later. If a standard arcade game is say 50 cents a play this will pay for itself by the time you play ten games which is something you could easily do in one night. You will meet a bunch of cool characters at this bar. The bar staff and owners are very nice, friendly, and personable. The patrons of this place are also very interesting people that tend to be on the alternative side bu
At first I had my reservation about parking, location and crowd. But I must say Player 1 picked a good location, with ample parking. The cover charge is perfect! ( Please don't change) I expected to see a younger crowd instead it was oldies like myself reliving child hood memories. Food and drinks were great. I just was not certain when they asked me for my cars to start a tab. I think an explanation will help those who never been. Definitely my new hangout spot.
I think the idea of an 80's/90's arcade bar is AWESOME! The atmosphere reminds me of the show, "Stranger Things." Supposedly an expansion is in the works which will be great, because it is a little crowded in there. Several of us tried the pepperoni pizza and thought it was good! It reminded me of New York style. Expect to pay $5 at the door so you can get a wrist band for all you can play video games. However, no kids allowed! Must be 21 to enter.
Went to the bar last night. Had a great time. Everyone was very friendly. And the $5.00 cover to play all the games was well worth it!! Can't wait to go again.. I drink beer and it was very well priced. Go, you'll have a great time!!! The bartender was really nice as well as everyone that was working there... A great idea for a bar! Annie..
We had a great time with pinball, arcade games, air hockey and even a bar. Kids had a blast!!!
Took the kids for family day today (normally it's 21 and over only) and had a fun time. It's much smaller than I expected, but it wasn't overly crowded. They have about 20 video games and 7 or 8 pinball machines. The games are all in really good condition although some of the cabinets are dinged up or faded, but they play great. Best of all, all the games are free to play!
Wristbands are $5 and you can play any game until 2am - even if you leave and come back the same day. They have good drinks - Ms. PAC MAN is my favorite. Friendly staff and atmosphere. This is my third visit and I didnt know they had expanded their building! It is awesome! Check it out!
Lots of fun ... old school pinball machines, claw games, air hockey , and tons of 1980s arcade games as well as lots of beer choices. A good time was had by all of us. What a unique place to go to when we visit Rock Hill.
Classic nostalgia. I really like that one cover charge allows me to play so many wonderful old games. Nobody wants to mess with change when they're mid epic game mode.
there is a cover charge, but all of the video games are free. The staff is friendly, and the owner is really nice guy. He's very easy to talk to and excited about this arcade bar in Rock Hill. Nice location in downtown. Close to other bars.
Love this place. So much pinball! Plus, they have a decent beer selection! Also, they recently switched to a card system instead of coin, great upgrade.
outside of my normal sphere of outings but love coming here with friends to get a drink and game
This is a cool spot in the center of Downtown Rock Hill. There is a decent amount of space, games, room at the bar and patio to enjoy on a nice day.
First time there and I absolutely loved it! The music, games, and signature cocktails were delicious. It was a great environment and I will definitely be putting it on my top 10 list for weekend activities.
Awesome place. Definitely the place to go if you want to have a casual fun time. The fryer was down so we didn't try food, but drinks were great, and the games were fun!
Probably the coolest spot to hang out in RH. They have a bunch of great games to play, drinks are top notch and their food is great and really well-priced. Highly recommend the gummy bear drink if you can get it.
Great friendly staff, COVID compliant. Super fun place to meet family or friends.
Amazing location of pinball machines (arcade as well). We came through randomly and glad we stopped. 20+/- pinball machines and the machines were very well maintained. The staff was very helpful and polite. Great little area downtown!
Awesomeness hangout for people that love the old time games like pac man, frogger and pinball as well as newer type. Good drinks, limited menu. Friendly owner greeted us soon as we came in. We went at 5 o'clock and it wasn't too crowded. Only 5 bucks unlimited games. If that's what you're into, this is the place for you!
A lot of modern arcade games and pinball machines. This is great for downtown Rock Hill. Very friendly staff. A huge selection of about twenty pinball games and a selection of multi player classic arcade games as well as modern games. My favorite arcade bar in the Charlotte area.
Interesting experience, a few things I wish I knew before I went. 1. If over 21 without kids in tow, don't go on Saturday between 12-5p as kids of all ages allowed in. 2. Not a restaurant, they have bar food, but only about 4 tables to sit. 3. I wish we ate before going. Thechips are beyond generic and not warmed up for chips and salsa. The chicken wings were from chicks not chickens as they were tiny. 4. Maybe it was just because of volume of kids, but they appear to let more people inside then what
I went here to record for a project for my Broadcasting class. Brandon was very kind and so were both the bar ladies and I got plenty of footage. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the funnel cake fries :)
Nine dollar corn beef sandwich was tasty but was real small with two slices of meat. Fries tasted like funnel cake, so I guess they had one frier. Not super terrible, but I don't think I'll be back.
Came out here on a whim looking for something to do with my 6 year old. We went on Sunday at 2 which is $5 per person all day (starting at 2). I was worried about the bar atmosphere, but the games are positioned away from the bar itself so no worries. The selection of games tend to cater to the older kids with titles like Galaga, Pac-Man, Roadblasters, etc. This isn't a problem for me, but do not bring your kids expecting there to be the latest and greatest ultra high-def titles. My kid was perfectly conte
Love the hot dogs! I go by every couple nights and get a double ?? plate and fries... they are supposed to have awesome home-made chili... but they haven't made chili in months?! Make the chili!
Really cool place. U can take your kids and play before 8 pm. Got a wide variety of games to choose from. Just about any of the old arcade games are free to play and anything else is $.50 or $1. Great place to take the kids and let em have fun
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
