I went down from NY to visit family for my birthday and this was one of the places my nephew and his girlfriend took me on Friday night (6/20) sometime after 9. Everyone there was having a blast. A co worker recommended and it was a hit with my family. It has a retro vibe all the way down to how they serve their food. It is family friendly prior to 8 pm and my sons loved using tokens to use the old school arcade games. There are 2 token machines that take bills or you can add a specific amount of tokens to your tab. A token is the equivalent of a quarter so it's a great place to go and not break the bank. We will be back!

The best vegan/vegetarian burger in Norfolk. My friend says his regular pixel burger is the best he's ever had, and he's in the military. He's been all over the world. The games remind you of the 80s. Amazing food, great fun!

This place was fun. It's like a flash back to the 90s. We sat at the bar and played some games on the TV while we waited for our food. I got a Buffalo chicken wrap it was really good. The only thing is some of the games didn't work when you put your tokens in. Or sometimes it would say 2 tokens but you would have to put in more. I got $10 worth of tokens to start it it did last a couple hours. With food and drinks I ended up spending around $50, which for everything and hours of fun it wasn't to expensive.

Cool place to grab a drink and play some games. I like that everything is spread out over 2 floors and many rooms. You don't feel like you're crammed in the space with other people. They have a nice selection of games but a few didn't work or didn't always accept coins. They have a claw game for ducks which was very exciting for our group.

I would recommend Pixels for the fun and drinks. DO NOT get their food. It's awful. We got the burgers and fried pickles. The burgers were so dry and overcooked. Same for the pickles. There was no moisture in the pickles definitely over fried.

I've been here once before and had a lot of fun, so last week I decided to host my 21st birthday here. Everyone had a lot of fun and our server was great, I wish I could remember his name. Amazing place! Visited for a networking event and we participated in trivia that night too. So much fun overall. Lots of the machines and games took me back to my childhood (tons of bonus points there). They even have fantastic decor to match. Food and drinks are well priced. Parking leaves something to be desired but again - the night I went there was trivia and a private networking event taking place so it might?ve been outside of the norm.

This place is amazingly fun. We spent 4 hours here trying out all the different games. They're not overpriced like other barcades and the food is pretty good too.

It's got great drinks, games and vibes. I'd honestly rate it lower based off the fact that the kitchen went for a nose dive. I used to even order out from here, now I would only go for drinks and games. But great people and spot, so 4 stars anyways. Bring back the good kitchen.

So nostalgic! I loved the game variety ? classic arcades, pinball, air hockey, skee ball, claw machine, and board games. I wish I took more photos but definitely a great place to be. Neal our server was great. We came about a few months back and came back for the food and we're excited to come again. However it was a complete let down. The food was terrible and definitely won't go back.The burger was just a frozen patty and the onion rings were over battered and soggy. Great 2 level arcade bar. This place is kid friendly and ha e alot of the old.school games to play. We brung our teens here and it was great.

As a bar with arcade games, this place is great. Good music, great atmosphere, and great games to play. Most are only 25? and none more than $1. However, the food isn't something to be super excited about. I'd suggest sticking to the normal bar food and sides. They have a lot of cute ideas that aren't executed very well.

Decent selection of beer, lots of arcade cabinets and pinball, they also hosted a small art pop up which we decided to check out, great little place to change up the typical bar routine.

I came here today just to play video games. They have pinball machines that cost 1 dollar (4 tokens) and old school arcade games that cost 1 token (25 cents per token). Two floors of video games, the first floor has fewer games than the second floor. The bar tender can give tokens or you can use the change machines. Did not see Token Specials. Most of the really cool games like Joust, Defender, 1942, NFL Blitz, and Karate Champ did not work as either they were turned off or the coin mech's were not working

This place is an absolute blast. Lots of special themed events. The staff are excellent and have a great knowledge of beer, spirits and food. The menu also provides vegan and vegetarian dishes. PIXELS also has a large game room with new and classic game titles from your childhood.

Great food and cocktail menu. The food menu has lots of vegan options and plenty of meat. We got the tofu fries, buffalo chicken sandwich, and short rib sloppy joe with Mac n cheese and sweet potato salad for sides. All great! The staff is friendly and attentive. Needs work This place was great a few years ago, it's just gone downhill. I would say about half the games controls don't work in some way. They turn down all the sound from the pinball machines, it was awesome but not so much anymore.

What a fun and unique spot with what seems to be a great group of regulars. Clientele is easy to talk to and willing to share knowledge of the old school games and how to play. Both upstairs and downstairs is full of pinball and arcade games from the 90s. The bartenders are amazing and love the good banter. Watching them handle the bar like a maestro was a treat! 10/10 will go back.

This place is within walking distance of my apartment which is amazing. Went there for my birthday this last weekend and had a blast. The place was packed but the staff seemed to be managing it really well and still gave great and quick service with lines of people!! ???? I didn't try the food yet but I keep hearing amazing things about it so I'll definitely be getting some grub the next time we go.

My family and I had such a great time. The arcade was a pure hit of nostalgia for me. However, it was even more fun to watch my children enjoying these games. This made the trip worth it. My review is suppressed because of the service. The whole kitchen staff went on break at the exact same time. If this is the policy, then I wish it was advertised. I could choose to time my visit better.

DO NOT PARK IN THE BACK. We were towed 15 min after walked in. There is one sign that is barely visible. Signs need to be displayed everywhere that people can't park in the back lot. The manager even said he's had issue with his employees getting towed and even still no signs that are helpful for customers. Be very wary of this place and how they do business. We are out of state people that had no idea. Grimy people and shady maneuvers on all sides.

I'm still here writing this post. Neil has been a busy guy, but our party never felt neglected/forgotten. My tots came out cold cold and he did not hesitate on getting it corrected. Now, I think the kitchen was mad because I got half the portion back, but I'm not mad one bit. I'll be back and hope I have Neil as my server again.

Great place to hang out and get food after work. My biggest complaint is that all of the pinball machines are filthy, not maintained at all and are always imbalanced. The guy who works on them and comes in "regularly" genuinely does not know how to clean or take care of the machines whatsoever. Additionally none of the stern machines are connected to the Internet so they don't receive updates that benefit the player. Hire a new tech and it'd be 5/5

Made a reservation online for a small group for a ten year olds birthday. Received a prompt email response and a phone call the day before. Service was great as well as food. They even set up a small table with cups and drinks for us. Server and bartender were super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend for small or large groups.

PIXELS Pints & Bytes is the place to be. Date night? Go to Pixels. Nostalgic arcade games? Go to Pixels. My wife and i went to Pixels last Friday and received greater service from our server. He was friendly, cool and fast. The Nacho Man and their saturday night loaded tater tots were out of this world just like the Technotronic burger. The drinks I would recommend are the mango man and sex on the beach. My wife and I are definitely going to come here often.

This place has so much potential as a pinball hot spot but the OP is terrible. The machines are filthy, and I mean never been cleaned filthy. Norfolk finally has a barcade! It is a fun place with a great beer and 40 selection. I was there on a Saturday night and it was busy which made getting to the game difficult. Seems like they could do with a few less tables and more games.

Update!!! I had to come back and update my review because I was drastically OVERCHARGED on my card!! My bill was only $18.50 + a $10 tip but they TOOK $47.00 out of my bank!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!! Me and a few friends went to try this place out because somebody told us about the retro games and the great food and she was spot on! I had their potato skins and WOW they were so good!! NOT your typical potato skins that you find at other places. And they had EVERY game in this place that I played as a teenager!

I think this place has been going a little downhill, regarding the bartender on duty. I have absolutely no problem with most people who are serious about their job but I was feeling really weird when the lady working Mondays was tending to me. I didn't know what I wanted at first and the bartender suggested some items and ended up ordering g the bang bang broccoli. There something about vintage arcade bars that is fun and all the games are reasonably priced, you definitely dont feel like your wasting $10 just to play one game like most modern arcades today. The whole experience for this place was very nostalgic. The food here was extremely good and the staff were very helpful. All in all, it was a very great experience and would love to go back. Definitely recommend going here for a night out or a day date. Either way, you won't be disappointed.
