Customer Reviews

My son (9) absolutely loves this place! I have brought him several times, and would visit even more often if we lived closer. He especially enjoys Minecraft Club with Daniel on Thursday evenings! While he plays, I relax in the adjacent area of Omar?s World. Afterwards, we always treat ourselves to (delicious!) food from Omar?s Bistro. The entire place is well-maintained, the atmosphere is positive, and all of the workers are genuinely nice. I highly recommend!

Pixel is located off a main road that's home to several businesses, restaurants, and shops. Very busy area of Lexington but not hectic. There's plenty of street parking with the meters costing $0.50 per hour. This also goes for the off-street parking behind the strip of stores lining the main road. Pixel doesn't have a noticeable sign outside the building, but it's upstairs from the comic shop below(can't miss it). The front door does have the businesses sign at the bottom to indicate the gaming cafe is in

Super fun place shop, eat, play all in one spot ?? even my 6 year old played Mario

My 9 year old and six of his raucous friends had a lab birthday party on a Saturday afternoon. The staff handled them with ablom. It's a friendly, clean environment.

We reserved the gaming room for a couple hours for our sons birthday. The set up there is amazing. It's also clean and looks very cool with the lighting etc. The staff were very nice and patiently helped all the kids get onto, navigate and switch between games. The selection of games was perfect for all ages. Even the dads enjoyed the old style arcade games. With Omar?s bistro downstairs, arranging food was easy and having had parties at other kids places, I didn't expect much, but oh man! The food was fabu

I love this place, the staff are so nice and helpful, I love the multiplayer mincraft server on the pc, the graphic shaders are awesome. If you like mincraft or any type of battle royal games I deffenently recommend. Also there are so many games and the price is cheap.

This place is a HIDDEN GEM! I have taken my kids everywhere and we never knew about this establishment! The place was relatively quiet, the gentleman was kind and helpful, the facility was clean and my kids loved their time here! Best of all, their prices are very good!

Awesome place to go to when you want to play video games! The Gaming PCs are really good there and amazing graphics. Friendly staff always every time I go there! Very convenient place to go especially after school. A good short walk from the high school and a good 30-minute walk from both middle schools in Lexington! Definitely a must go to place in Lexington Center if you are interested in video games! I'm glad this place exists for almost a year now!

This is a really wonderful place- my kids love it there, and the people who work there are incredibly patient and helpful. A true gem, we can't wait to go back.

This place is awesome. I resisted bringing my kids here because I hate encouraging more video games but they had a great time. More importantly the staff was super friendly and helpful. AND the food from the cafe was cheap and delicious. Highly recommend!!

I went once during school hours and it was fun! Nice set ups and atmosphere. I brought some friend one night and it was WAY too loud. On top of some things not working and taking 15-20 minutes to figure out there were screaming kids that made it impossible to hear the person sitting right next to me. 5/5 atmosphere 3/5 staff 3/5 Pc's & set ups 1/5 screaming children

The food is amazing. In fact, the falafel is better than any I have had in California or New York. The facilities are clean and quiet. It's above Omar's Comic Books.

Loved this place. You can eat, read, and play here. It's extremely enjoyable, and everyone?s nice. Definitely recommend this to anyone seeing this

I am so grateful that this place exists, I would come here whenever my mom let me to buy Magic packs and after a couple years became an avid gamer so I was so happy to hear that you guys created pixel paradise! I come here so often with my friends and always enjoy the amazing PC, Console, VR, and racing sim experience and the PC?s here even inspired me to build one of my own! The staff are the nicest people ever and I suggest this as the #1 place in Lexington for gamers and card game enthusiasts!

Awesome place! The place was clean and neat. Food was delicious. Wheelchair accessible. Staff very helpful and nice. Check it out!

The kids had a great time doing the virtual reality game. Pricing was fair. Daniel was kind, professional, attentive, and helpful. We'll be back!

I went for an hour of a PC gaming over the weekend, and had an amazing time. Super low prices, to use amazing PC / Console / VR equipment. Staff are extremely nice and helpful. If you are looking for a place to sit back and game you found it ??

My kids loved this place. The staff are very patient and super helpful, definitely a positive fun atmosphere.

This place is the best since baked bread. I don't have the money to buy an overpriced computer to make My dreams come true. This place lets me expand my mind and explore my horizons. Thank you for being awesome!!!

Best gaming spot on the planet, hands down. Run by good people with plenty of time to help a goof like me, tons on folks (pros??) in here who need no help at all, and they are just as accommodating to them. Just come in, enjoy the vibe and rigs (3060 TIs!!!). You won't be sorry.

Very friendly staff, great hardware (cutest PCs ever). The area is nice and the chairs are comfortable. Would recommend.

Really fun, the staff are really nice and they have a great environment! I definitely recommend!

The staff here are so nice and friendly! They have every game you want and you don't even need your own account. Come here to play with your friends or try something new.

Awesome prices and good games, although the racing sim only has one game...

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are virtual reality games in arcades worth playing?

Yes, virtual reality (VR) games in arcades are a top attraction in 2025! Titles like Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx deliver immersive thrills with cutting-edge headsets, motion tracking, and responsive controllers. High-resolution displays and spatial audio create heart-pounding experiences, from slashing rhythms to battling zombies. Arcades feature multiplayer VR zones and tournaments, fostering lively communities. VR booths are regularly packed, proving their captivating, next-level gameplay makes them a must-try arcade experience.
