Great way to beat the heat and have fun as a family! Only 25 cents per game which is so much better than most places. Lots of classics from when I was a kid so it was nostalgic to see our kids enjoying them. The Den has free Nintendo classic games to play while feeling lie you are playing in your childhood basement. Food looked tasty but we didn't order as we had just eaten. We will be back!

First time here and we had a blast. Alex was wonderful! She explained how everything worked and was super attentive. The drinks and food were so good. We managed to make $20 worth of tokens stretch out, which is nice as we've spent tons at other places and weren't as happy as we were here. Wish we had a place like this near home but we will definitely have to be back if everyone was as attentive and professional as Alex. Also if you are wondering yes spend the $25 and get the cup!

It's actually so badass here, it's also 18+ after 8. Games are a token or 2 each and worth it. They have a cereal bar menu, retro af, even the bathroom gave vintage. My drink, the Princess Smash was amazing and im obsessed with their fried pickles! The vibe was great and the music was absolutely perfect! There was something wrong with my card and the system glitched, but both the manager and the owner were absolutely amazing with getting things resolved. I would 100/10 recommend this place!! Also, ask for

This place is AMAZING! We had the best experience. I was born in the 80s and my husband was born in the 70s, this is old school arcade nostalgia at its best!!! ?Turtle? at the bar hooked us up with some tokens for us and passes for our kids in the future. She made our experience extra special. We felt like kids again! AND, the cocktails are delicious! Most fun that I have had in awhile!!!!

This was our first time here and we will be back! I took my 6 year old son at 3 in the afternoon on a Friday and it was amazing. The memories this place unleashed is indescribable. So much nostalgia and fun. Mikayla, the bartender was super friendly and attentive. She even offered me some tissues as I got emotional and caught in my feelings. Definitely worth a visit for the whole family.

Amazing atmosphere, Wide Range of people and their own unique styles. Such a fun, chill place, making the black sheep, under dogs, lone wolfs, and Nerdy Girl like myself feel so welcomed and part of the Pixel Palace Family.

We had a great time. Service is great, good was good and the environment was a lot of fun. Love the creative menu with do many surprises! It will be as expected for most, great games while drinking a beer. Really dig this place and look forward to coming back.

Pixel Palace Arcade and Bar in Round Rock is a fun place to hang and kids are welcome up to a certain time. The night we were there was also a Geeks Who Drink trivia event so will need to return for that. Nostalgic games and most were only 25 cents to play. I didn't get any food but it looked good and they have a full cereal bar menu!! And fun drinks too. I'll be back!

We've been here a couple of times and it's amazing! They have a lot of different events throughout the week, the food is delicious, and there's a good collection of games. Our waiter Momo was a delight every time, that's 15 stars for Momo! She was kind and would check in ask if we needed anything. And ensured everybody in the party was taken care of, this has definitely become our new favorite place.

A really great place to take kids during the day to play some video games. $20 gets you 80 tokens and lasted us (family of 6) an hour and a half. The bartender was so friendly in explaining how they operate and our kids had the best time. Not crowded as I would have expected on a Saturday!

It's good if you're an adult but if you're a kid it's ok. They have great food ment to make you feel like it's the 90's again and the games range from pacman to mortal Kombat. Also the service is amazing and the games are in good condition unlike cidercade. It's 5 stars if you're adult 3 stars if you're a kid. over all 4 stars

This place is amazing, every time I go, theres something new & surprising that I didn't notice before! The games use coins, you'll need cash but I love this aspect as it gives more of a vintage feel. The food is amazing, I've had their pizza, loaded fries, & boneless wings. They sell cereal, have crazy, quirky drinks you can't find anywhere else but everything is definitely on the more expensive end. You can draw on the bar counter, they give you window markers! They have guitar hero, skeeball, pinball mach

I've been to a lot of bars in my time?more than I can count, honestly?and while I could probably call myself a bit of a seasoned regular (maybe even an unofficial expert), very few places have ever made the kind of lasting impression that this one has. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is welcoming, the atmosphere is on point, and you immediately get the sense that you're in for something special. Let's talk about the drinks first?because wow. These are hands down some of the best cocktails I've ever h

Mitts was a wonderful host! We love coming here as it's always a great experience. Fun food selection and menu, excellent drink selection, and always a nice vibe with arcade games, music, and shows! 10/10 would recommend and go, again!

Update 6/6/2025: This has got to be one of my favorite places in Round Rock and the surrounding area. The bartenders here are personable and they have a wide variety of beers that I may choose from. Food here is better than just bar food and the entertainment is always there. Highly recommend going here. Original posting: I attended a soft opening as I'm subscribed as an arcade monster member and was able to get an invite. This membership is an exclusive tier of patron that gives you perks to the place, wh

This place is excellent! They've got the whole vibe nailed! Even an area for sleepover style Nintendo with a couch and crt TV setup. All the cabinet games are a quarter, pinball is 2. We had a great time with my daughter! We beat X-Men! All around great experience.

IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN HERE, GO NOW!! I love Pixel Palace! It is now our new favorite arcade. What I love the most is you have to use coins to play the games. There is a machine to convert cash to coins. Most of us don't carry cash anymore, but don't worry! They have $10 cups full of coins. TOTALLY worth it. I recommend getting one of those cups for coins. They also have an NES with two controllers and a couch that you can sit at. Super retro, but also nostalgic; reminds me a lot of the best parts of my child

Such a cool place and an amazing vibe . My little loved it and although the time limit is 8pm for my daughter it was still a great time . The wings were a good option at the bar . Would recommend this place to anyone .

I was excitedly following the opening process of this place for a good year, and when they finally opened in October, they didn't disappoint. A great game selection, a reasonable token system, immaculate vibes, and an awesome menu full of great drinks and snacks makes them stand out in a market that is far more competitive than it was 15 years ago. I've made it out for a few events, got my first tattoo there, even kicked off 2025 there, and thanks to Jaz immediately taking me in and the rest of the crew fo

Food and drink were delicious! Came with a large group and we all had a blast. Only thing off to note is they charge 30% for a walked tab instead of the customary 20%. Other than that the atmosphere and experience was great!

What a fantastic trip back in time! We attended their soft opening on Tuesday night and was transported back to my childhood and gaming in the local ?TILT? arcade. Imagine taking that nostalgia and updating it with fantastic video walls, edgy lighting on the bar and ceiling, and you'll get an idea of what Pixel Palace is like. Their games use tokens too with their logo on it. Great selection of craft beers including local Third Level brewing. The Blue Raspberry sour is amazing, and I don't even like sour b

Great place. Close to home but also so fun. I'm an old guy, 50! Allllll the fun music, videos, and games from back in the day. And super nice folks work here. All the stars.

Michelle and Zane the ?owners? are absolutely scamming everyone. Serving less than half servings of meals and charging full price, then blaming vendors for wrong deliveries. When asking them about it, Michelle asked us to leave and closed our tab. This place is going to rip you off and is short lived. Don't bother.

First time here after a stressful day at work and it was just what I needed!! Met Hana at the front and she was an absolute GEM!!! The fried pickles were amazing and can't complain about the drinks. Loved the vibe and since it was after 8 there were no kids on site. Will definitely be coming back!!

Pixel Palace is such a hidden gem! The retro arcade brings back all the classic vibes?it's the perfect mix of old-school gaming and a laid-back bar atmosphere. The games are fun, the setup is nostalgic, and it's such a cool spot to hang out whether you're into vintage arcades or just want something different. The bartending staff is amazing?super friendly, fast, and always make you feel welcome. The drinks are great, and the vibe is even better. The music they play is full of classic hits, and the big TV

Wow! The staff was super kind and it was insanely clean and friendly. Amazing bar and menu/variety. It wasn't crazy expensive and it was full of games to arcade, pinball, skeeball, golf simulator, vintage Nintendo and more. This place isn't going to be kept secret long after this launch. So come while you can and it's not crazy busy yet. All around great environment, cute menu and awesome games. So much fun and family friendly if need be. *Food is also great and cooked to perfection!

Bartender could be better. Not the friendliest or patriotic ideal establishment. A wide variety of retro arcades. Fun place to be with friends. Some games are 1 or 2 coins. Some arcades glitch and the staff is pretty quick to resolve the issue. If they change the bartender or add an extra bartender then things could be better and I might return. Until then I just have to find somewhere else to hang out with my military buddies. If you just want to play some retro arcades then this is the best place to be in

Food was mid - chicken tenders needed some seasoning, could have been breaded a bit better. Tots were excellent. Drinks were amazing, we ordered two of their Redbull drinks. Some cool arcade machines like Tapper, but a large number of the games were either out of order or simply just didn't work but weren't marked. Staff was friendly. With some love and care for the chicken tenders, and a bit of maintenance and love for the arcade games, this would be a solid 5.

I've been here a few times and we always have a great time kicking back with awesome cocktails & classic arcade games! As a recommendation, you should try the Pixel Sour which is a delicious cocktail on tap concocted by Tommy ??

When it comes to nostalgia close to home, Pixel Palace is definitely my go-to place to play pinball, play NES, drink, and eat delicious foods! Other arcades are way too far and way too expensive. Everyone here are nice, welcome me in with open arms, and provide me with the best customer service possible. Having a local spot like this in Round Rock is a blessing and with all the 80s and 90s influence makes me really happy. If you're looking for an old school arcade to go to, maybe play hooky from work or sch

First time at Pixel Palace tonight and it is great! The bar drinks were tasty and the games are only 1 quarter. Our bartender, Mikayla was amazing. Her energy was infectious. So much nostalgia and smiles. I'd recommend anyone stop by and remember a more simpler time.

Pixel has been my sanctuary of nostalgia away from the modern angst! Have been a regular since opening and everything...the drinks, atmosphere, and bar staff are amazingly fun, helpful, and authentic! Mikayla especially brings a powerful shot of authenticity and energy! Everyone that works at Pixel brings their own personality with them..and I love it! Great bar food, awesome entertainment all round....a great place to decompress after a long day!

UPDAT: went back for a second time and was hesitant to order drinks. But but boy I'm glad I did. My server/bartender was amazing (Tom-E). He made awesome Drinks. Whent above and beyond for service. Drinks were on point!!! I want to say I appreciate the staff and vibe. Will definitely be back when he's working. First Time: Went to Pixel Palace Arcade and Bar for the first time. Great service, fun games, top notch atmosphere. Unfortunately the drinks from the bar were disappointing. 2 cocktails and a s

Take 50 or 60 classic video games and pinball machines and stuff them into a retro 80's/90's bar with 24 rotating beer taps, a very solid food menu, and dizzying array of video sources streaming what MTV used to look like, your favorite football team, or the arcades top scores by game. Blend in a friendly Monday night Magic the Gathering meet up. Garnish with surprise dossier of Halloween horror films for spooky season, and game day events. Look: if you are at all nostalgic for the latch key kid dream la

Mikayla the bartender was fantastic and knew how to run a section. The atmosphere was fun and all the employees were helpful :)

I really enjoyed my time here. I went in the early evening and it wasn't crowded so all of the cabinets were available for play. They use a classic token system, there's no entry fee. They have a lot of arcade cabinets, some I had never heard of before which is awesome. Not very many pinball games though, but the few they had were really good ones. But my favorite touch is the NES system in the corner with the retro CRT TV. I could sit there for hours. But if I could make a suggestion, it would be really c

An amazing nostalgia trip that caters to both the new and old generations. Machines are fun, the food and drinks are great and more importantly, the vibes are just excellent. Definitely a place we will return to often. Note: kids are only allowed open to 8pm.

Never fails to have a great time here. Mikayla who as always been our server is on point and very attentive. Games are fun food is great definitely recommend to everyone of all ages!

Food and drinks are on point. The selection of games are great and they are constantly trying to keep them working which is always a challenge. They also constantly have games, prizes or some promotion going on. The 80s and 90s nostalgia is great for us GenX folks. The only downsides are that it is relatively small and can become crowded very quick. Additionally sometimes the game you really want to play is out of order. Wish I could only take away a half star for that because I know how difficult it is t

Really nostalgic vibe, we had fun playing the games. Food was good and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I took my 15y/o son and his buddy they had a blast. Under 18 before 8pm. Super cool place we will definitely be returning. $20 for 80 tokens, was more than enough for us all.

Loved it here! There's a wide variety of games. The food is great. And the attention to detail is unmatched. Shoutout to Momo for being so friendly and helpful while we were eating. Also! It wasn't too loud (the way Cidercade is) for those who are sensitive to sound like me.

Love this place! I have been waiting for this to open for a long while so I was afraid my expectations would fall short when it opened after so much anticipation. That absolutely didn't happen. Awesome environment, surprisingly good food (beyond what I expected flavor-wise for bar food), great drink selection and just an overall good time. This place is always packed so it can get a little crowded but it doesn't take away from the good time. I've been multiple times now and even brought the lady out for an

Fun nostalgic games, atmosphere, great burgers, music videos, attentive staff, menu expansive and we had lots of laughs.

I just want to start off by saying this place is amazing! The atmosphere that it brings plus the nostalgia is incredible. I would also like to shout out the staff, specifically MOMO! She is as good as it gets when it comes to great hospitality and service. If not even better! Will definitely be coming back!

Came here with my 12 year old son. Great place given he doesnt often give old games a chance. This places business model isnt to make money on games which is awesome. Coins only and one coin per game. Good old fashion easy. Some games here and there dont work but if you appreciate arcades then you know that will always be a factor. Being that some games are free play or 100 lives one coin you really dont tend to care if a coin gets chewed. Food came out timely. Drinks got refilled without asking. Came righ

Old school games. Good food selection. Good drink list. I recommend coming if you liked the old school video games or pinballs. You can also just chill and watch some sports while enjoying the 80's vibe.

I've only been there for the music bingo, which is a really good time. The bartenders give you a good pour and the games look like they're well maintained. I haven't personally eaten anything there, but my friends have said the food was good.

Servers are so nice (especially Momo!) And the theme and aesthetic is amazing. A cereal bar!? Every little detail is perfect, down to the walls of the restroom.

Mikayla is the best server! So good so fun! Check it out!!

Whenever you find yourself in Round Rock pay Pixel Palace a visit. Check out the case of vintage wares including pagers and pogs and order the cheese logs - literally the size of toilet paper rolls. $3 ?Benchmark 8? shots, and a pop rock rimmed watermelon tall cocktail called ?Exploding Asteroids? lovingly crafted by a Hill Country Fare Kevin Bacon AKA - Tom-E. Mention my name and pay double for no reason ??

Great new spot with retro arcade games, nice bar selection, and really good food. Ample parking, friendly service, nice vibe, and so many classic games. Whether you grew up in the 70s, 80s, 90s, or early 00s, there is something for you. Also a good selection of pinball machines. Highly recommend. Would definitely go back.

This place was fun. Most of the arcade games are old and nostalgic. The food is classic refrigerator food and each game is 25 cents to 50 cents a play. I feel you can come with 2 people and spend about $60-$70 dollars after food, drinks and game play and leave excited about the day. I had a great time on the pinball machines and the Simpsons game. Look forward to coming back. Since they have Sports going on I can see myself coming here to watch games with friends while playing some arcade games on the side.

What an amazing and fun place to hang out! A very good selection of classic arcade games and pinball machines, and even an NES set up with a couch! The bar has a nice selection of drinks and the food is amazing. The employees are all super nice and attentive! This place is truly reminiscent of a real honest to goodness 80s/90s arcade! My new favorite spot!

Cool little spot with some decent 80's and 90's nostalgia going for it. Food was reasonably priced and tasted ok, nothing amazing. Wife got the chicken tenders and side of fries, I got the 5 bone-in wings. I was disappointed that the wings game as 4 drums and 1 flat, rather than a more even mix. Drums tend to be fattier and less desirable than the flats, and anyplace I've ordered wings from previously typically provides an even distribution of both. Staff was friendly, we came in on a Tuesday afternoon

Second time coming in. Food is fantastic! Wings were juicy and flavorful. Cheese fries better than some restaurants. GREAT RANCH. Options for non drinkers. Love that they kick the kids out at 8. This is our new spot for sure. Literally typing this out while still sitting here eating. Great service. First night we came in was Valentine?s Day and even though it was busy the staff was great and games were available!

Great food, amazing cocktails, and loved the nostalgia of the games, music, and decor. Mikayla had great energy and gave us impeccable service. Great first impression! Will definitely be back!

Deserea is the greatest bar tender ever! She's very interactive with you and she's a sweetheart! Love the experience only because of her!

Great bar/arcade. Friendly staff and lots of great games. Decent food menu and several drink options. If you go once you'll be back again.

Love this place!!! Everyone is very nice, fun, and genuine. Love the girl behind the bar, Alex, she's super cool, energetic and such a hard worker! Definitely recommend getting your drinks from her!

The best bartender in Texas!! Gave our party top notch old fashioneds in a dozen different varieties. Definitely coming back. Would add photos but we destroyed them.

I'm getting straight to the point! If you looking for good drinks and a good throwback night, this is the place. Prices are so good, you would want to run a tab up! My first experience had me going back same night! Also, the art and creativity. Keep it up y?all!

This is a wonderful little spot. Great selection of arcade games, good selection of food, really well themed, really fantastic staff. The only thing I wish was that the drinks were a bit better. They weren't bad, but out of the 5 cocktails my party had, there was 1 truly stand out one (please keep the Bkue Eyed Dragon). This is still such a great arcade though. Definitely check it out

What's more fun than spending time with your kiddo on his birthday? Well, um, duh... Spending the evening beating the TMNT arcade as a family, sipping on craft drinks (root beer, slush and beers), having a mini family tourney with skee-ball, quarter machines like the old days, and a super friendly bar staff! Thanks Pixel Palace Arcade and your amazing staff for making our little family adventure so memorable for our son's 10th!

STELLAR EXPERIENCE OVER ALL, AMAZING SHOUT OUT TO OUR BAR TENDER AND GREAT FRIEND DAIJHA!! FROM SHOWING US AROUND TO BEING THERE WHEN WE NEEDED HER! FROM THE VIBES, TO THE DRINKS, THE PEOPLE, THE PLACEMENT AND CLOSENESS IN LOCATION! WILL MOST DEF COME BACK AND VIBE OUT AGAIN! 10/10

Nestled in the unassuming sprawl of Round Rock, Pixel Palace stands as a neon-lit shrine to the golden age of gaming. It's a place where nostalgia isn't just a feeling?it's an experience, wrapped in the flicker of CRT screens, the clatter of buttons, and the unmistakable scent of something fried and familiar. Step inside, and you're greeted by an electric symphony of Pac-Man?s relentless chase, the smack of a well-timed Hadouken, and the satisfying clang of a pinball jackpot. The bar, however, is where the

My daughter and I come here every Wednesday for Song Bingo and enjoy the nostalgia Pixel Palace offers. The staff is always very welcoming and friendly, especially Mikayla. She always on top of it with our orders and consistent on checking on us. Thank you Mikayla??

Not too big but not too small. Great drinks and they added a cereal bar recently, which is pretty cool. Went on a Friday night- decent crowd but nothing overwhelming during this time. Will be back!

I love this place! They're playing all the best 80s music loud, they have all the classic arcade games, a living room set up with an old school tv and NES, full bar with great themed drinks and you can even order a bowl of your favorite kid cereal while you're there. Definitely making this one of my favorite stops when heading to Round Rock.

Great vibe. Fun times. The kids loved the retro games and fun food options. The bartender Mikayla is awesome! Ask for her!!! Great personality and service.

My friends who are visiting came with me just to check it out and we all loved it! ?? Momo is the sweetest server and really made our experience so amazing!! So kind and welcoming and she was truly the highlight of our day. Thank you Momo! ??

Love to come here for a beer and fried pickles! Their menu is not extensive but fair with great attention by the staff and awesome machines to have some old school fun!

This place is great. Retro games and vibes. Good food and beer. Games are only a quarter, just like they should be.

Fun place to have some drinks and play retro games. $10 minimum token exchange from the bar was just enough for 3 hours of games for 2 people.

Mitts was amazing as a server.. give her a raise!. Such a fun place!

Very fun and cool looking bar with great prices and great people working there! Tons of games to play and I think most or all are only one token!

PIXEL PALACE IS THE BEST. I GO WITH MY NEPHEW TO PLAY ALL OF THE RETRO GAMES. Eric Salazar is the man too! I always get served the best drinks by him!

Awesome place! Family friendly & 80s vibe with all the classic games. Personable staff & bartenders. Gluten free options (some) and great music. ?? - will definitely be back.

Had a great date night with my wife. We played some pinball, some classic arcade games, and enjoyed a pint together. Mitts took great care of us!

Definitely a cool place to stop by when you're in round rock. This place is total 80s and 90s nostalgia. They even have a little Nintendo hooked up to an old tube tv in the corner and you can play it and sit on the couch. The beer was cold. The food is hot. If you want to play the games set up around the bar you need to purchase tokens. This place isn't like some of the other arcades around austin where you pay a $10-15 cover charge per person for unlimited play. So if you want to come By and grab a drink o

Millennials will love the throwback to their childhood with all their favorite arcade games, and a fun menu that has a cereal bar (all your favorite ls like Fruit Loops. Cap'n Crunch, etc) that recreates Saturday morning cartoon vibes. Games are $.25-$.50 so its a super affordable date night option.

Went for a birthday party for a son's friend. Place is outstanding. Awesome vibe, kid friendly until 8, then adults only. Will visit again

Pretty decent collection of vintage video games, primarily 80's era. The staff was really responsive when I had a couple of issues with some games. The value is really there as you're effectively paying 80's prices for the games. The beer selection is good and at least on par with comparable venues. We'll be back for sure!

Love this place! Great music and food, our bartender Mikayla was so attentive and friendly ?? Will definitely come back!

Love love LOVE Mikayla! She has so much positivity and a laugh that is contagious! She makes amazing drinks and is always very attentive!

Such a cool spot! Super glad the owners persevered and got this up and running. Great selection of classic games, large menu with great food, and a big drinks selection. Love having something like this in Round Rock.

What an experience. Arcade games ranging from vintage Pac-Man to Guitar Hero. Skee-ball, pinball, Golden Tee, and a classic NES connected to a tube TV in the corner with a couch to lounge on. Oh, and most of the games are 1 token. Top notch beer and liquor selection (like TOP notch whiskey and tequila selection). A menu with cereal, Totinos pizza rolls, a killer chicken sandwich, pizza, mozzarella logs, and the list goes on. Some form of trivia, music bingo, trash movie night type events happen weekly. Old

Mikayla was the best bartender ever she made my time in Texas in the best ever. I won the contest of balancing a token in the lemon and she is super cool.

I thought the food was gonna just be an after thought, but they are making the pretzels and beer cheese from scratch back there. Mikayla the bartender will give you the VIP treatment. And they have Fernet Branca

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?
