Pints & Pixels

Pints & Pixels

Reviews Summary

Pints and Pixels is a beloved retro arcade bar offering classic games, pinball, and a wide beer selection. Most reviews praise the nostalgic atmosphere, friendly staff, and unlimited play wristband ($12-$13). While some mention hit-or-miss food or service hiccups (like unexpected charges), the majority highlight it as a fun spot for groups, families, or solo visits. A few note the lack of in-house food (outside options allowed) or occasional crowdedness. The vintage games, well-maintained machines, and unique vibe make it a standout destination, especially for 80s/90s enthusiasts. Minor critiques include limited beer menus or strict play policies, but overall, it’s highly recommended for a nostalgic, entertaining experience.

No food, only snacks | had service dog with me* Great service and atmosphere! Incredible selection of beers, I think 40 from all over the country on tap. My wife got her sour beers and I got my stouts. Really fun, old school games. Smiles everywhere! This is a great set up for a date night. Pay for games with flat fee upfront and play as much as you want We were there for several hours and each had three drinks. After drinks, games, and some snack food, the bill was $78. I'm a disabled vet with a serv

I'm going to write a more detailed review after several more visits... but it's looking like this is my new favorite place to be! Absolutely give it a visit, especially if you don't have any other ideas on your evening roster. You can't go wrong with this place, whether you're looking for some family fun, date night, or a place to hang out on your own and meet new people.. thirteen bucks per person, and you can game from open til close if that's your desire. Ready, player one? ??

Lots of fun! Great staff, and a wonderful variety of beers and ciders. If you want to play the games you have to pay the play fee, but that's a big part of the business so.. those who complain about ?being scolded? for being asked to pay for playing privileges are just being entitled. That's part of the deal, folks. Definitely recommended for a fun time with great people.

I've loved this place for years. Me and my siblings come here and we always have a good time. But Pints&Pixels, you guys gotta fire the blue haired goth girl. Super rude to my little siblings and was very rude to me when I walked in. I'm telling you, this place is losing customers because of her. She's gotta go. Love you guys!

We had a literal blast! Cat and Eli were amazing, recommending great pints, being awesome people and pointing us to their favorite games -there are LOTS! Good sips and a great time. All you can play for $12, and boy did we get our money's worth. We're coming back every time we're in town.

Great place to play pin ball, retro games, and skeeball. Extensive beer menu but no food

Came with a bunch of folks as part of a private group. I didn't think I was going to be into the games and found myself surprised after about 10 minutes of checking the place out. Theyve got quite the variety of games: from classic pinball to airplane simulators and shoot houses. The staff was very friendly and helpful ?nd appeared to know each of the games well. They don't serve food but do allow you to bring it in. This is a great spot for groups of coworkers or friends as you can mix and mingle, watch ot

Amazing place for retro gaming nostalgia, nice drinks but the sodas were really lame unfortunately. I would definitely recommend checking out, a very fun place to go!

Worst experience in this area. Definitely not worth $10 armband. If you want to be scolded like a child, go for it. Bartender was to busy correcting people rather than providing customer service. Its an arcade, kids will be kids. Don't try to assist your kid with a two player game or she will stop you mid game to charge you. There are signs everywhere asking for parents to not leave child unattended for obvious reasons. Maybe cut some slack on the parents with two player games. First and only time there. Co

Love this place can easily spent 1-2 hours here without getting bored. Idk about the drinks but the games are great. So many pinball options and nostalgic games for all.

Nice place to come and hang out. Good beer on tap, and good food to eat. The food and drink service was fast and friendly. Got the chili burger and coleslaw, and it was very good. But of course the main attraction are the classic arcade games. If you enjoy classic arcade games, beer, and good food, then this is the place for you.

Neat place for people of all ages. They serve alcohol for the adults and sodas, floats, and shakes for the kiddos. Wish they had food, but the door does state you're allowed to bring your own food in. Pet friendly patio out back has a gate for entrance as they don't want you bringing pets in the front door and walking them through the inside area. Hand sanitizer and wipes are around and available in various spots to help prevent the spread of germs. Numerous arcade games- pinball, skee-ball, etc. They also

Great little place with wide selection of games. Great draft beer choices as well. The service was good as both bar tenders knew their beer and offered options based on what we like. Reasonable prices as well.

This was for my granddaughter's 6th birthday. She loves the arcade. We provided our own food and drinks for the kids. They do not serve food but you can order locally and have it delivered or from some of the restaurants in the area. We had a wonderful time. Adults beverages were excellent. Good place to have fun and show the younger generation the games we grew up with. I am 55 and surprised myself with pinball, 4th place. And I still remember the pattern for Pac-Man and Mrs Pac-Man. Young or old, this a g

Employees are really nice and beer is delicious! $12 for all you can play games. Really a great deal. They have a large selection of beers on tap and cans.

Great place to hang out and enjoy some drinks. there's lots of retro games to play and it's perfect for a little date night

This place is so much fun! The arcade games bring back a lot of great childhood memories. You'll find games for 1-4 tokens, and a great variety from super mario brothers and mortal combat to guardians of the galaxy pinball and tapper. There's something for everyone. They have a nice menu of hearty food, soft drinks, and a wide beer selection too. The staff is super nice and it's overall just a fun way to spend some time. You get a few free tokens with a meal and they have adult only hours after 9 (not sure

There are lots of drink options to choose from. From beer to custom soda drink. Even milkshakes as well. I like that you can pay for a pass to play games for the entire night. No food is served here.

We came to town because of the Tiger Rock Championship. and someone from the competion told me about the place. It sounded cool. There were most of the popular, classic games and a good big of pin ball machines. I probably played the Addams family one for a hour. They had games from my dad's childhood like Phoenix I had never heard of before. The 4 of us played pacman, and I finally got to beat xmen and the original ninja turtles. My son and I also had fun sucking at mario kart and shooting terminator

Will definitely be coming back. It would be 5 stars but the food options weren't the best. They were out of several chili's. I went with one that wasn't that great. The burgers looked better. My son's grilled cheese and fries were good. Good local and craft beer selection. Lots of fun games. Kids and adults had a great time playing arcade games and pinball.

One of the most fun places I've been in a longtime. Located on the second floor, a quick elevator ride deposits you into a retro arcade wonderland that has the added bonus of a fantastic beer and snack collection. The arcade games are varied and inexpensive. Fantastic place to go hang with friends.

We didn't eat or drink here but had a blast playing all the old arcade games!

Now here is a place that has it all. Are you a 35-45 year old who spent their youth jamming on Ataris, Nintendos, and wishing school was out so you could head to the rink and jam on Galaga with your best buds while chomping a Reese?s!? This place is for you. Grab a bud and $30 and head to Pints and Pixels. Their selection of older arcade games brings a feel of classic retro nostalgia you didn't know you were missing. Their ?all you can play policy? is by far the best bang for your buck of any establishmen

Service and beer were great. A little loud due to the kids playing skee ball. This is the place for if you enjoy beer and arcades.

I have been here a few times. This visit, I was actually able to sit and eat. The games need to get tuned up, especially the driving games. There were a few pinball machines down. There wasn't anything special to the food other than having some kick.

This place is AWESOME! Great food and good family fun all in one! I love the Anaheim burger, wife loves the Cuban stew, and even the vegetarian finds several menu options. Get the spicy pickles! Try the spicy cole slaw! They have some old school greats in the games! Pac Man, Space Invaders, Tempest! As well as some newer pinball machines like The Hobbit and Batman! Ask for Ariana to be your server - she is OUTSTANDING! She can make suggestions based on your tastes and preferences, and knows the menu inside

Wow. First, I must thank Kayla, because the service was incredible. From the minute we walked in we were greeted with a warm welcome and great customer service. We had so much fun playing games with our family. Skiball and cornhole were our favorite games. We can not wait to come back again!!

Pretty neat downtown bar and arcade. Kid and adult friendly. Great bartenders, too! Bar food, mixed drinks, beer, lots of old arcade faves. Definitely worth checking out.

They dont have food themselves but they do allow outside food. Massive selection of craft beer on tap and a good selection of the big brands. Bar keeps were amazing. 13 bucks for unlimited play on the machines. Killed a few hours with the wife Well worth the money.

Cool place. $10 and all you can play arcade game. They serve a large selection of beer too

Great place for a sit down meal, locally brewed drinks, and some great old school 90s arcade games and pinball machines. Definitely work stopping by and checking out!

Awesome place to bring the family or just come with friends. Games don't require coins or tokens all you need is a wristband. Great selection of beer. They also have milkshakes and homemade colas. Classic retro style games good selection of pinball machines.

A great time, a good selection of retro games from your childhood. Nice tasty food and the prices are really low. I got too beat the Simpsons and X-men, I mean come on!

Arcades and craft beers and fun, no cooked food but atmosphere was great.

This place is amazing! Lots of drink options and old school arcade games.

Needed a good evening out with my pre-teen. This is a perfect spot for an adult looking to reconnect with their inner child or for kids to just have fun. The staff is responsive and kind. I highly recommend.

This place was incredible! The perfect mix of adult nightlife and classic arcade goodness. I wanted to stay there all night on the pinball machines--even if I was rusty. For food, I highly reccomend starting with the appetizer sampler, or getting garlic chicken wings. The serrano burger was a great heat, too. In fact, most things here are spicy! Though to wash it down with booze. get The Frogger. Next time I'm going to get that power pellet shot!

I rarely leave bad reviews, but I am today. Today was the first time I ever came here. Excited because I've been traveling to see different arcades. Don't know much about the place except from what I've seen on Google and Facebook. I went inside to the front to the bar and told the bartender that I was new and never been there. I told her I wanted to eat (thought they served food due to reviews) and then got told rudely that they don't serve food. If I was a regular there and asked that, I don't blame the r

This place was an absolute blast! $12 a person for all you can play arcade games, pinball, and ski all. You can't beat that. The milkshakes are awesome. We tried the strawberry, chocolate and vanilla. We'll worth a visit if you're in town.

Went out with some friends, new to town. This place is my favorite spot so far! Free pinball on Wednesday! And the chili Mac is SO good! George behind the bar is an excellent bartender! Great conversation as well! Our waitress was very nice too, I hate that I can't remember her name. (Both pictured below)

This is the 80's..... you MUST come here and play EVERY classic stand up arcade game! This is a private collection turned AWESOME bar and grill.... come on and Whip it Good! Pssst!.....It's in a hidden location.... come find it!

Great place for eats and games. Beer selection: wide range of local beers on tap and a good enough variety that you should find something you'll like. I tried the Dragons Milk which is a bourbon beer and it was spot on. Food: surprisingly the food here was rather good. I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich and was surprised at how good it was. Also the onion rings were perfectly seasoned for my taste. Games: great selection of arcade games. The four player Pac-Man really does draw you in if you came with a

Great place at a great price. Several video games, pinball machines, and a huge draft selection. No food but you can bring your own (several options within campus 805).

This place is great. Our family had a blast here!

We got an appetizer for 8.99 that is advertised at half off on Thursdays(spoiler alert: 3-6pm) and it was one skewer. For $8.99. games are okay it's 4 tokens per dollar and you get some for drinks too... The waitress alone got the second star. If it was all about her alone, it would have been 5 stars. Management is CLEARLY ON THE ROCKS HERE.

Holy time warp Batman! We had a great time here. Classic arcade games galore with a wall of pinball. Most games are a quarter (token) and all were in great shape. Food was tasty and the service was excellent. We have tokens left so we will be back.

Seriously, you can't beat the price. Unlimited classic arcade games for $12. Great beer selection. Loved it!

I love pinball and arcade games. They have a great selection and the staff was super friendly! Also, $12/person for all you can play is WAY cheaper than it is where I live in similar businesses, so I felt like I got a great value for my money.

Always have fun here! The games are vintage, but so am I, I only mention that because when my kids were younger they didn't like them as much, but the older they get the more they like this place as well. Great family fun, can get crowded especially when there is stuff going on downtown.

Always a wonderful time! Rah and the rest of the staff are hilarious and very accommodating. Fantastic beer and retro game selection. If you're looking for relaxed family fun, this is a great place.

Fun times hanging out at Pints & Pixels. The food & drinks were awesome and it's a fun environment.

This place is the bomb ! ;-) We ate n played and drank and it was good throughout . And the service was one of the best - I don't remember her name, but she was fun :-) The fatal fries is unlike what u get for normal fries... Pretty hot though .. the burgers were not bad (average I would say).. And love the ambience with all the arcade games - pinball, mortal Kombat, Street fighter, xmen, Atari lol you name it... I think 10 bucks gets you like 44 coins to play with , they normally always give u some extra.

Great food, beers and games. Appreciated the TV showing 80s MTV videos. Fast and friendly service

Limited beer menu. $13 to play games. Kids on a Saturday night

The games are really fun and the drinks are good. Girl with green hair had a major attitude with my husband and I. We were nice to her the whole time, so I don't know what we did. It made us very uncomfortable and we ended up leaving shortly after that. We won't be back, unfortunately.

The new place is excellent. It's an extremely weird feeling being in the old Wish You Were Beer space, but the beers are delicious and the people are awesome

Food was bad. Service was bad. Beer was ok. Games were great and the free pinball on Wednesday night was an awesome upturn for the rest of the place. Cabinets are in great shape too.

Unlimited game play for a flat rate, full bar, and hand made sodas for less than $3!

Such a great concept. Kind folks, great options on tap. Perfect relaxed family night. Can order food from rest of 805 and bring it in.

The best place in Huntsville to crack open a cold one with the boys, and play some arcade games. This place is pinball heaven! The food as been hit and miss for me, thus the 4 stars

We came for pinball after a disappointing visit to Magic City Arcade. Decent selection. Had maybe 10 pinball tables, but 3 were entirely out of order, and many of the ones that weren't out of order had pretty severe issues. Could easily be an amazing pinball spot if they fixed what they do have. Their normal cabinets and Mariokart(2005) are all fun though and seemed to work without any issues. FYI they don't sell food, just drinks, but will allow you to bring in outside food.

My boyfriend and I go here about once a week now just to play games and drink. Really really fun and cool place to hang out! Love the new location much better too.

They have over 30 plus beers on tap They have over 30 plus arcade games / arcade cabinets / pinball machines. They moved away from a coin system to now it is a wristband system. If memory serves correct it was $12 for a wristband and All the machines were on FreePlay. If you're over 21 they stamp the back of your hand. I personally gave a couple of $12 gift cards to a couple of my co-workers for them to visit and try it out. No food service though. They do have bags of chips I think. The multiple times that

So much fun!! I especially loved that you get free game tokens with every food or drink purchase. Almost got high score on Ms Pac-Man.. and made the high score board for Q*bert a few times. I'll be back to try again!

Old school arcade games and beer. $12 wrist band for unlimited games. Bar staff was incredibly hospitable and fun with lots of beers in tap. Great for that old school arcade feel with booze.

Edited star rating to reflect actual experience. Great place. Great beer. Still need a 15 min play for people just stopping in for one. 12/2023 Games are great but customer experience is not what it once was at the other location. There is no stopping in and playing a few games with a handful of tokens. They make you buy an arm band for a full days play no matter if you just want one beer and 15 minutes of play.

Great selection of draft beer. Friendly bartenders. I did not play any video games but they had plenty of them available. They no longer serve food though.

I wanted to leave an updated review because this is a significantly different place than it once was. I don't have any reference for the food, but I went here several times over a few months and the following is consistently how it was. For the games and the drinks and it was great. Service there was excellent from every bartender that we had and the one time I had food it was the milkshake, which was a unique ingredient and video game theme and was good. Original review from ~2019 You can look at my oth

Does not serve food, but outside food can be brought in. They do have beer, sodas, some wine, etc.

We had our sons birthday party here and it was awesome! The kids had fun playing games, the adults played games and had access to the bar and we were allowed to bring in our own food/cake. They were welcoming and helpful! Will definitely be back

Courteous staff. Military and law enforcement friendly! If you are looking for a throw back too all the throw back arcades and pinball, this is the place. TMNT, mortal combat, Simpson?s, pac man, pinball and more! My husband and I with four kids aged 11 to 5 had SO MUCH fun. As my son said ?it's fun for kids and adult?!

Fun games. Good range of chili heats. The chili fries are fire hot. Love them! Will be back.

Had a lot of fun with coworkers here. I really liked the pinball machines. The food was delicious. Will definitely be back.

Fun for the whole family. Cool bar, great good, and plenty of nostalgic arcade games. We had a blast. Kids ages2, 3,3,5,6

Classic video games and pinball? A large drink selection? What's not to love!?

We drive up from Birmingham just to come here! They have great games, atmosphere, and beer on tap. They maintenance the machines and I've only once seen one out of order. I always see the same people working there and they're all very friendly and polite.

Getting lost in downtown Huntsville was fun once I walked into Pints and Pixels. Once the elevator doors opened, a very vibrant athomsphere poured in as did a wave of hospitality from the staff. kind, quirky, or casual folks everywhere. My absoulute favorite part was the Tetris machine. I heard from the GM that they also house a couple of exclusive games devloped by a company local to Huntsville. Come with family, or by yourself, as I did, you're bound for an enjoyable time. P.S. Order a whiskey or a beer,

Great game selection, kid friendly! They moved from downtown, it's not the same but it's great still! Beer and affordable classic Dedicated Original 80's 90's machines, no multicades. Great pinball selection too. Perfect for parties, bring your own food. The GSM was really nice and helpful, the games were in great condition. 5 stars!! ???????

We didn't eat anything but got some drinks. The margarita wine based drink was delicious. Pinball machines were fun. There was one broken, but there were plenty of other pinball machines to choose from. Super fun experience! Would definitely go back.

Came here on father's day to be double charged. Server thought that she could add an undisclosed charge a young couple equal to a 20% tip. Terrible to think what they do to families. Appearntly 2 people getting drinks and games for 2 hours "triggered" the party (8+ PEOPLE) SERVICE CHARGE. They did not provide and itemized receipt until asked meaning server had to destroy the 1st itemized receipt. THIS IS NOT NORMAL FOR SERVICE INDUSTRY AROUND THE COUNTRY. This is very much illegal in Alabama.

Definitely something you need to try at least once!! This is an amazing place to go to to hang out with friends, meet new people, or just hang out by yourself. Tons of drink options on tap, and tons of games to play to entertain yourself. The staff is always super nice, and the atmosphere is always a great one.

This place was SO much fun! You pay for "admission" and play as long as you want. PacMan and skeeball were my favorites. This was part of a date night that will not soon be forgotten. Nostalgic fun!

SUPER cool little spot at Campus 805! They have an awesome selection of beers (on top and bottled), wine, custom milkshakes and sodas. The arcade game selection is awesome. They also have ski ball and mario kart. The staff is great, super friendly and welcoming. My family and I love coming here to hang out.; my 5 year old daughter especially. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a cool chill spot. Always down to visit this place.

Great drinks and decent food! Best of all, the games are very reasonable. Not a good place for children

This was a cool little experience. They do not serve food, but I did see some overpriced bags of chips and candy bars (like between $1.75 and $2.50) There's no hard liquor, just beer and soda, etc. (and I think I saw some of those tiny bottles of Fireball). It's inexpensive also. You get an armband for unlimited play. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded at all. I enjoyed the trip back to childhood. 98% of the games worked. I think I saw a couple out of service. They do have tables if you want to bring

Fun place to enjoy an adult beverage and some pinball and video games. Great selection of beer on tap and pay a onetime price to play games all day.

Used to be better. The new location isn't as great. Small selection of games means you'll be waiting a while to play your favorites. A good amount of the games didn't work. Either out of order, or the buttons didn't work. The lack of food and beverage options is also undesirable. While the unlimited play sounds like a good idea, for people who just want to stop in for a quick drink and a couple plays, it's not worth it.

Went out with friends on a Saturday night and was disappointed in the new location. The space is very small, crowded, and there were way too many kids there. They no longer do tokens so you have to pay $12 for a wrist band. They don't do food, no liquor, and the cheapest beer they have is a $4 bud light. The previous location was great and I really hope they go back to that kind of set up, because until they do, I will not be going back or recommending them to anyone. I know the fire probably took a lot of

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
