Pinball Pete?s is an absolute gem! It has that nostalgic arcade vibe with a great mix of classic and modern games. Whether you're into old-school pinball machines, air hockey, racing games, or ticket games, there's something for everyone. The machines are well-maintained, the atmosphere is lively, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. It's the perfect place to hang out with friends, go on a casual date night, or just escape into some good old-fashioned fun for a few hours. Definitely one of my favo
What a high quality establishment. Ann Arbor?s best! Perfect for a date, or just to hang out with the boys. $10 can go a long way here. Great options, including extensive pinball choices. They've also got some sweet pool tables. Generally not too busy. Workers are always elite & will round your ticket total up to the nearest 100 ????
Lots of fun! Stopped here to kill some time between events. Bring some cash because all games use quarters. There is a parking garage just across the street too.
What a wonderful surprise!! We were in Ann Arbor and had no plans outside of sporting events. We took a walk around the block and noticed a staircase leading to fun! We were a group from ages 8-48, and there was something for each of us. The older folks of the group were in heaven with all the old school games and themes. We ran around with such excitement seeing games from our childhood. The younger folks enjoyed the ticketed games and prizes. The woman running the place was incredibly welcoming! We couldn
I had no idea this place existed but my boyfriend went to school in Michigan and suggested we go during our first trip to Ann Arbor together. Holy moly I felt like such a kid again! Finally, a place with real quarters and actual tickets! I would recommend this to anybody again and again. I can't wait to come back and use the photo booth again! They also had one of my favorite old DDR machines and that made me the happiest person ever.
So much fun every time we visit Ann Arbor it is a must stop classic games and great places to hangout. Great night so much great staff. Very clean and beautiful as always.
Super fun date night idea. Downtown so lots of parking available in front and nearby. The pinball machines are new age style but still super vintage and cute! The street was busy but the arcade itself wasn't crowded on the Tuesday night we went. No small age children games though definitely an adults or older child friendly place. We definitely will be back to play again! Super clean and staff was on site and attentive. (Plus they gave us extra candy!) Definitely recommend Pinball Pete?s
Was a fun stop. A lot of different games to play. I even bought a adorable pink T-shirt there (as a souvenir). We really enjoyed playing pinball and the time we spent there. And there is even a really good cookie place right across the street if you want a snack.
The perfect place to spend an afternoon. They have change machines inside so you can easily get coins. There are a bunch of pool tables for those of you who enjoy "mature" games, and lots of silly arcade games and pinball machines for the child in all of us. They also do party packages!
So nostalgic it feels like a time machine!! very awesome selection of games and machines ??
This place is great! My coworkers and I came here for a party; there's an area in the back that can reserved. It was so much fun! They have so many games, vintage and new, and of course tons of pinball machines! I especially appreciated seeing all of the TMNT stuff, including some original art by the prize counter. I'm totally coming here again! Highly recommend!
Best arcade in the country. The only other one that comes close is the one in East Lansing also pinball Pete's. Great mix of old and new games. Especially the old vintage games that are maintained by expert owner. So much fun to go I tried to visit every time I'm in Ann arbor or East Lansing. The staff there is incredible they always round up when you have tickets at the candy / toy counter and gave us a handfuls of extra candy.
By far our favorite arcade in the world, period. Excellent service and great games, and it's a one of a kind experience for kids because of the authentic coins and tickets. Watching your kids? reaction when they see the tickets coming out of a machine - especially after a good game or a ?jackpot? - is priceless and impossible to replicate with modern digital ?points on a card? arcades. Simply the best!!
Review of Pinball Pete's in Downtown Ann Arbor** If you're looking for a fresh and exciting gaming experience, Pinball Pete's in downtown Ann Arbor is a must-visit. This arcade offers a fantastic selection of new-age pinball machines that blend classic gameplay with modern technology. Each machine is well-maintained, providing smooth and responsive play that keeps you coming back for more. One of the standout features of Pinball Pete's is its cleanliness. The arcade is spotless, creating a welcoming envir
A MUST TO CHECK OUT IN ANN ARBOR! They have just about everything here, something for everyone. Some nice new fancy pinball machines also. Definitely don't miss this place if your in the neighborhood, would even make a fun time for an event.
My family loves this place! We drive here from an hour away several times a year to have fun. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Such a huge variety of games to play you could easily spend hours here. Pinball Pete's is the best!!
Cant believe its taken me so long to visit, genuinely had a great time here. Lots of well kept together pinball machines and decent array of arcade games some modern and a few classic. Has a cute prize counter and the staff are as nice as anyone who have to routinely deal with adults and children not listen to all day can be so mad props for that. This place is not great for sensory sensitive people, obviously, but if you were to go in when its not shoulder to shoulder busy you could have fun too!
I hadn't played pinball in years and decided to take the family and check this place out. I drove an hour to get here and it was well worth the drive. Lots of great games both old and new. The games are well maintained and if we had any issue the staff was friendly and quick to help.
If you like pinball this is the place to visit. Good variety of games. If you don't want to use their ATM, make sure to bring cash. All the games take quarters. Highly recommend. Lots of fun for everyone!
One of the highlights of Ann Arbor. I was amazed at the selection of games they have and the prices are awesome. With everything getting more expensive each day it's great to know a roll of quarters still gets you a fun time and some tickets.
My kids and I had a great time here! Perfect for any budget. Bright fun atmosphere. Our time was cut short but we will be back!.. also there is super cheap parking in the garage out back.
This place has truly stood the test of time and is just a fun place to hang out if you like arcade games. They have one of the best pinball collections in the state and that is what I go to play. My brother and I, both in our 40's, spent hours playing pinball at Pete's over the weekend. We had an absolute blast. I love this place.
Consistently rated a top place for a night out in local publications and a great place to bring a group of friends. A huge selection of pinball machines and arcade games. For this lose seeking games with prizes, there is a good selection of ticket rewarding games for the toy counter. Pool tables also available! A great stop in Ann Arbor for all ages.
I literally love this arcade. It's small and pretty easy to get to. They have a good selection of games and it's always a fun night out!
Best arcade in Michigan! Friendly staff, working machines, and a mix of game types. Gets hot and starts to smell like gym socks when busy but it's worth it.
staff was so kind Brandon was very helpful and friendly. Lots of fun games, but bring at least 20-25$ for like an hour of fun (for 2 people)
I'm not a fan of loud chaos, but this IS a game place and serving plenty of excited kids of all ages. The counter people were friendly and helpful. Plan to spend some money.
A must see if you visit Ann Arbor and are into pinball or arcade games! I have been going here regularly for the last 20 years. It is a great establishment that always has both up-to-date and classic pinball games to play. They also have pool tables and all sorts of other attractions. I wish there were more traditional arcades like this ??
Best place for adults and kids with many cool new and old arcades. My favorite were definitely the old Star wars arcade games, it's like a blast to the past.
Fantastic arcade! A mixture of older and newer games. As a fan of older and unusual games this place is great. Always recommend going on Sunday since the parking garage is free to park in.
A woman named Kayla was super nice and helped us with the machine when there was an issue printing our tickets. The variety of games here is amazing; there's plenty for both individual games as well as team ones. If you're going for max tix, I would recommend the game where you roll a token onto a truck and hit a sign for the big bonus. Great experience overall!
Jay was really cool and the place rocks! Great place to take the kids for a nostalgic arcade experience!
Sal and the guy working next to him were so so nice and helpful. Thankssss Sal. 10/10. Giving our highest recommendation for manager position - ?25 Seniors
Pinball Pete's is where it's at! Take a step back in time when you descend down the steps and our basked in the neon glow of nostalgia! with a huge selection of retro arcade and pinball games including some of the newest out there it really is the place to be in the heart of a college town. you could easily go down one of the aisles and it could be a filming location for a Film set in the 80s! The staff was very friendly and all the machines were working! Nothing was out of order and the place was very well
We went to Pinball Pete's yesterday for my son's 6th birthday. When we got there they had lost power in half of the building (not their fault) and they went above and beyond to make sure he still had the best birthday. My whole family had a blast and we can't wait to go back! I wish I remembered the women's name that was working behind counter. She was so friendly and made my son feel so special! Thank you so much for helping make my son's day so amazing!! 100% would recommend going there.
I've loved this place since I was a kid and I love bringing my kid now?? I'm so glad they aren't like the other places and haven't raised their prices like crazy, still use quarters. We always have a great time! ??
Old school American arcade. Highly recommend for all ages. You get paper tickets which is cool. Staff is always kind
I grew up in Ann Arbor and played pinball at pinball Pete's all the time, of course back in the 80's there was also Mickey Rats and focus pinball arcades. In the mid 80's the three were joined by Double Focus Pinball. Great memories
After a long day who doesn't enjoy going to have fun at an arcade?! Seth is a great employee and made things a lot more fun for us. Highly recommend stopping there.
I love pinball Pete?s so much!! Grew up going there for celebrations including 1 of my most fun birthday party?s. To hear they might shut it down hurts and I truly hope they don't cause this place is always fun, especially with the right people. So come here with friends or family or both!!
Absolutely amazing everytime have went for bday for probably 5+ years if there is an issue with any game they fix it with you immediately. The coin drop by bball is best ticket winner left with a used pinball from the prize counter.
Absolutely LOVE this place. Awesome for all ages. Pinball, air hockey, pool, and so much more. They are open pretty late too which is a big plus.
Lots of good nostalgia to be had. Cons: Needs more stools around the old arcade cabinets. I counted two stools in the entire room with the air hockey / Street fighter cabinets
Jeff ( I think that was his name ) was incredibly kind and helped celebrate me and my partner during her birthday :) had so much fun!
Always a blast at Pinball Pete's! They have arcade games (new and old), air hockey, skee-ball, crane machines, and of course pinball.
This arcade has a huge selection of a ton of old school classics. I was surprised and a big overwhelmed at the selection they had. Didnt realize how much it opens up downstairs. We had fun trying a few games here and I wish we had more time. That being said the games were on the expensive side with a good many around $1 a game. That was just nuts to me but i understand that is the sole income for the place.
This place is a must if you are in Ann Arbor and love old school arcades. Everything from old school Pac man to street fighter to riding games to almost every cool pinball game I've ever seen. They also have skee ball and ticket games. Staff was very friendly and it close to a parking garage!!
We love this place. The prices of the games are very fair and affordable. The old school games are awesome and parking is easy in that area of ann arbor.
Not bad but the doors are wide open on a 30 degree day making it quite cold indoors, the pinball machines are pay as you play. 2 dollars for 3 credits on most but the games jam up quite a bit. Not leveled properly in some instances but they have a good selection of Sterna newer titles from the last 3 to 4 years. LE editions were nice to see though as most carry Pro.
Very great collection of games. Decent price. Great to see quarter operated games.
This has got to be one of the best and last arcades in the states. Doesn't matter if you're from Michigan or if you're going to visit, I highly recommend stopping by and blowing all your money here. ?? ?? ??
Been coming to this Pinball Pete's for a long time and have always had amazing service. Came in last night for my birthday, and staff was amazing. I don't remember their names, but I just wanted to say thank you for your exceptional service! Super friendly and made my night!
pete's is just about the only worthwhile cultural institution in ann arbor these days. give them your quarters, support them in the difficult years ahead. play pinball and compete! it's good for your soul.
Very fun Ann Arbor staple! If you pick the right games you can get a lot of fun out of $10 for an afternoon
So much fun! We always have such a great time with their variety of games. They have a ton of games that give you tickets or you can play pinball or air hockey just for fun. It's a great thing to do late at night if you don't want to go out to bars.
First time our older teenage kids have been to an arcade! They loved it! Won some tickets, and the lady behind the counter added on tickets and gave our daughter a free t shirt because it was her birthday! Very friendly! Loved the atmosphere!
His is amazing place. I did DDR and arcade game, and also gun shot game. It was so so fun and I wanna go again for sure !!
Always a great experience! It's an old school arcade with new school things - fun for families or just alone too!
Fun place, the arcades are all well kept and clean, they have a bunch of classics like Donkey Kong, Mario, Frogger, TMNT, Simpson, TMNT in Time, Street Fighter 2 and others. Plus linked Daytona USA 1 and 2 and a bunch of other games. They take qtrs. Most games cost .50 cents or a dollar to play, all the pinball machines were a dollar. Also some arcades were original and a few had newer lcd screens inside. And many nice pool tables, and air hockey tables.
Fun for everyone! This place had games for everyone. I played mostly pinball (at least 10 different pinball machines). Where some arcades have upgraded to reloadable cards for game play, this place uses change machines-makes it that much cooler! Retro games. Reminded me of growing up in the 80's.
Super fun!!! Lots of really cool games and hours of entertainment!!
Great place for almost all ages. I come here multiple times a year. Lots of games to play and a perfect first date location if you like competition. The workers will round up your tickets by almost 200 to allow you to get more prizes. Older games to more modern. Only downside is how much you will spend here. Most games cost almost $2. Definitely recommend!
A few games were out of order, but not enough to affect the fun. Super friendly staff, and we were surprised to find out we get a free shirt for a birthday!
Our visit was a family celebration of my grandson?s 8th birthday. We all (ages 5-79) had a blast! Couldn't have chosen a better venue for a family party! Every game you ever played is here!
I have always loved this place growing up! My kids love it as well. Still a fun place to play games both new and old.
This place was fantastic! We spent a rainy afternoon having a lot of fun!
Pretty cool place to hang out and game for a bit! Has a classic arcade feel to it. The lights and walking down into the arcade is a neat combination. Not extremely big, but enough variety to have a bit of fun in the afternoon or evening.
Really fun old-school arcade. The place is huge inside and they have games for everybody, whether its pinball, pool, DDR, racing games, fighting games, ticket games, just about everything. Naturally you'll spend some money playing, but that's how it goes!
Always a great place to go! Sad they're trying to close it down :( but workers are always super nice and helpful and the games are fun.
Step back into the 80's at this great family friendly place. EVERYONE here is very nice including the other customers, great place to spend a weekend afternoon, and who doesn't love some good 80's music while your playing your favorite pinball machine from your youth. I HIGHLY recommend a stop here while in AnnArbor.
Very cool place! Brought back a lot of memories from my childhood. A place to see for young & old!
Good selection of pinball games throughout the arcade. They are mostly new and in good condition. This is an arcade so lots of families and kids. I did not play any of the arcade games so I can't speak to that. Had to give 4 stars due to being an Ohio State Fan (just kidding 4 stars because I wish it was more pinball less arcade)
Lots of fun and thanks to inflation, spending $50 there feels better than it did 10 years ago! Yay!! Some of the machines eat your quarters but who cares when a quarter feels like nothing anymore! Great date spot
Very very nice arcade with plenty of limited edition pinballs Clean place
Good old fashioned arcade with tons of games (all in good working order), a line of skee ball lanes, a few air hockey tables, and half a dozen pool tables. You can get change for games using either credit card or cash. Most games are $1, with several at $0.50. Tickets to collect for the little ones from a portion of the games, with expectedly cheap trinkets and candy to choose from in exchange.
This is a special place. Mix of old games and new, multiplayer and single. Friendly staff, clean. Bless you, Pete.
Pinball Pete's has one of the BEST vibes. Out of all the arcades i've been to, I could easily spend the longest time in here. They have updated arcade games and a ton of classics as well. I jumped from Tron to Mario Kart and then to Star Wars all within the same hour. My only complaint is that almost every game is priced at $1.00 and I wish they could have a more diverse pricing strategy. Like $20 for an hour of unlimited pinball games or something along that lines. I got tired of carrying a cup of $20 wort
Intense nostalgia. Like one of the most epic and awesome arcades of the Reagan administration era but with tons of modern games along side the classics. There are not enough places like this left in this country.
Always such a fun place to hang out with the family!
I love this place! Great place for affordable fun! They have all the great games old and new!! I take my son and his friends here and they love it!
I have been a patron of this establishment since the early 1990's when i was young and it is really great to see not only it survived the pandemic, but also maintained a fabulous selection of arcade machines from then until now! I only wish they had an X-men arcade cabinet and Alien v. Predator.
A favorite of mine ever since I was a kid! A wealth of games both classic and modern, and the true arcade atmosphere has something for everyone. Truly a magical spot!
Always a great time!!
This place is lovely!! It's very fun. And has lots of games to choose from for adults and children. I had a good time here. And the staff is very friendly!
Lots of games to play, much larger than the Lansing location. Almost everything was in good functioning order. Plenty of games other than pinball. Family friendly, during the day when we were there anyway.
I have just had the most appalling interaction I have ever had at a business at this establishment. I was referred to come to Pinball Pete?s for change to use in my laundry machine by another business. This was my first time visiting. I was immediately followed by a visibly angry man who watched me insert my bills and take out the quarters. Only after this exchange had been made, he began to verbally barrage me for ?stealing from children? and robbing the business. He was loud and extremely aggressive. I
Love this place ! There's something there for everyone to enjoy. The Staff are always kind And it's always a good time !!!
Best arcade I've ever visited. Good mix of pinball, amusement and redemption games. Pinball machines are in very good shape and play hard and fast.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
