We drove to maximillians just to play pinball, expecting 10 machines but there were only 2 machines left. A bit underwhelming but still fun. The machines were a lot of fun and in good working order. Thanks Tim for bringing pinball back to there area.
Arrived to find a mostly empty room in a pool hall with only two working pinball machines. Not at all like what is listed.
Idk why this is advertised as a pinball parlor. It's literally 2 machines. Apparently, it was more once apon a time. It should really be removed from Google maps all together.
I stopped in Super Bowl Sunday, and as luck had it the owner Tim was there cleaning and ensuring every one of the 10 machines was in perfect working order. In fact, he was checking to ensure each was in perfect working condition, including with a digital level, and a bottle of Windex in hand too! That tells you a lot about the venue and what to expect, clean and great place to go. The machines were all great, including Jaws which was only installed 3 days prior and one of there within 90 miles of Boston
Great spot to play some well maintained modern pinball machines. Can't wait to spend more time here soon
This is my favorite place to play pinball in the area. The games are all maintained very well and play great. Every game that can have Stern Insider does, so you can track scores and achievements (which is currently every game they have). And they routinely do leaderboards, tournaments, and other fun things. Easy to grab a beer or food while playing too. One thing you should know ahead of time is that this location is 21+ restricted, which I think is both good and bad. (I wish I could take my kids, bu
There are about ten very current pins there. They are all in excellent condition. About half are rock bands including Foo Fighters, Aerosmith, Rush, and Iron Maiden. My memory isn't perfect. They host New England Pinball League on Tuesdays when in season.
Great spot, focusing heavily on the modern era of pinball. At current, 10 games, all of which are Stern and have Insider Connected (along with a monthly leaderboard on the tv -- a nice touch). Games are kept in good shape and are only a buck a play. A great place to get your pinball fix!
Great spot for pinball with an emphasis on modern Sterns. Games are serviced regularly. The pinball room is located inside Maxamillians Billiards, so you can cross between the two at will with food and drinks. The only con? This place is so popular that you may run into occasional trouble finding a parking spot during peak hours. What a problem to have!
Great place for new and experienced players! Make new friends there every time. Machines are well maintained and they always get the latest Stern machines.
I went here, and let me tell you. The games are all top notch. I believe all the machines that can be Stern connected are connected. Also try the pizza there.... Very good.
Great selection of well maintained, modern Stern pins. Thanks for getting me hooked on pinball again after a long hiatus! ??
So good my work is going to ve coming on Fridays and starting a league night. Great pins awesome people
Small, but great selection of machines. Conveniently located inside a bar.
Great little Pinball Place. Couple of bucks will give you fun for an hour.
Brand new machines - great place for beer and pins!
Only 3 machines out currently
Lots of options to play nice clean
Pretty cool little setup
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
