I loved the whole atmosphere! There are many rooms which is fun. Lots of old games and many many pinball options. It's a great price to be able to free play everything!
Fantastic selection of pinball and arcade machines. Great staff! My teen has been enjoying the weekly tournaments. So happy Rockford finally has something like this!
It's cool to have a local arcade, just super limited on the types of games here. I think there's two racing games and a couple claw machines but otherwise it is literally entirely pinball machines like the name implies. Would be much more fun with more variety, but still an impressive collection and a good time if you're really into pinball!
Very cool retro place. Had a birthday party here. 4.5 stars because the price. We knew it was 10.00 per person relatively... party of 10. We didn't expect to be charged an extra 10 bucks per adult... so it ended up being 260 bucks. It is what it is. They were clean and delivered exactly what they said, I do wish they wouldn't charge extra for parents at a child's birthday party. Honestly though they did a great job and their time is worth it. It is a good idea to support local business.
Pinball Land is an awesome hidden gem! With over 25 classic arcade games, 20 pinball machines, a couple driving games, one shooting game, as well as a DDR machine, there are so many options! No quarters needed, it's pay by the hour, and at $9 an hour currently, it's perfect for date night, or a bored kid with an extra tenner. A little dark inside, but the place is tidy, clean, and very open, as in no doors as you walk from room to room. If you can't be around strobes or flashing lights, this place isn't for
This place is so fun. Great variety and worth the cost. We will be back ??
Stumbled across this little gem of an arcade. You pay by the hour and have access to all the games. I loved the pinball and my kids loved the retro arcade games. I paid for an hour and it was honestly just the right amount of time. If I'm ever in the area again, I will make a stop in.
A unique arcade with a feel all its own. Similar to a Pinball Pete's or Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum. Awesome choice of games, as the name indicates this place is full of pinball machines, but there are several other arcade style games to play. Easily seen from the road with its neon lighting. Come check out this arcade form yourself today!
This place was amazing. Lots of great games, and we really liked how they worked booking a private party. The kids all had fun, even our oldest ones! Oh, and me and my wife had a blast too! The claw machine was the only negative part of the visit, only because none of us were able to successfully pull out a plush toy. ???? PRO tip, bring 1's as four of the things here take $ (everything else, a ton of games, are all free play) and we cleaned out all of their ones . We returned this year for another birth
This is a very well coordinated arcade. The lack of tokens is brilliant. The games lean towards pinball but classic 70s to 90s cabinets are plentiful. You won't find many past the 90s, but honestly, peak arcade gaming was Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat 2 anyway. It's a great place, great collection, and more over my kids all love it.
Visited for the first time for a gathering. What a glorious trip down the rainbow road of memory lane and exuberant happiness! I don't remember having more fun. All the games that a true arcade needs to have, and then some! Rushn Attack was a game I played endlessly on the NES but had all but forgotten about for the last thirty years. There it sat in all its amazing glory, begging me to remember. Oh, did I! Side note: I now have the two high scores (A!!) From the old school rolling pinball to the most curre
An amazing collection of pinball and arcade machines. Definitely worth the money. You can spend hours and hours here!
Does it get an better than this?! Step back in time and enjoy some nostalgic fun while also playing some of the latest greatest Pinball machines! Wednesday night pinball tournaments are a blast and Ryan the owner is the nicest guy you'll meet!
A must see. My boys love this place?I might love it more. Tons of great retro games and pinball machines. Awesome place!!
It's so cool to go back in time. You pay a fee for a period of time so no quarters. A lot of fun for the ?old? guys and kids to play games from the 70s to the 2000s. Very fun
Fun place with lots of pinball machines and also arcade games like Donkey Kong, Pac man, Millipede, driving games and more. Pay by the hour and all are token free. Just push a button to play.
I'm not great at arcade games or pinball so being able to lose over and over while not spending my life's savings is a wonderful perk. They have plenty of games and are usually not so busy that I can't find something to enjoy. Clean and well presented, I love coming to this arcade to sharpen my skills.
I brought my friend here for a hang out and my daughter here the very next night for a daddy daughter date. I definitely recommend the 2 hours if you can. Time flies! The staff was really friendly and easy going and the games were awesome! I almost made the leader board
According to my 10 year old ?there are tons of historic games?. I like to say retro instead. All day pass at a very reasonable rate. You can leave and come back after lunch and keep playing. 1 hour is just as fun if you're not planning an entire day in Rockford. My husband loved it more than he thought he would. It was like watching him turn into a kid again. Highly suggest if you're into pinball and old school arcade games. The team/owners are fantastic and fun to talk with.
Second year we've gone on my husband's birthday. They offer an hour free on your birthday. It's always a good time. Lots of games and like-minded people playing them.
The kids and parents all had fun. Only wish there was some sort of a stool in each room to be more accommodating for the kids but we made it work.
Probably the best place for pinball I've ever been to! The machines are top-notch?super clean, well-maintained, and in perfect working order. The whole facility has a great vibe, and the owner couldn't be nicer, especially with kids. We celebrated my kid?s birthday here, and now I just want to go back and play. There's not a single thing I'd change. Amazing atmosphere and a great deal for the fun you get.
I love this place. So many fun retro games. We went on a weekend late afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all. The manager was super friendly and just noted what time we could play until, no need to wear a wristband or anything like some places. Modern arcades like Dave & Busters are loud and expensive. This place is chill and has plenty of stuff from multi-player beat em ups like Ninja Turtles, to old stuff like pacman, car and motorcycle 2player sitdown racing units, fighting classics like SF2 and MK, pi
Neat place with some fun machines. Wish it was just a tad bigger due to crowd sizes. I loved the vintage pinball games closer to the front!
Decided to do a google search of Retro Arcades Near Me, and Pinball Land was one of the top results. About 40 minutes away, I was a little hesitant at first. My wife, friend and I decided to give it a shot, and we were NOT disappointed! Ryan (the owner), was very welcoming and enthusiastic when we first walked into the door. It was free-play all day for $15, $12 for 2 hours, or $7 for an hour. This was a blast from the past. There were about a dozen pinball machines, and several retro machines. Their site
So much fun. Lots of games. Older but plenty to do. Adults and kids. Every game was working. Zero issues. Inexpensive!!
Awesome pinball and retro video games shop. Reasonable prices all games worked super nice guy up front. I enjoyed it along with my 3-10 Year old boys for an hour to kill.
Tons of games! Very relaxed atmosphere and quite inexpensive for all that you get. Clean bathrooms and a couple of tables with chairs.
What a great experience! Which a diamond staff was friendly and very helpful on getting a ball unstuck.
Amazing experience! Great fun for all ages, classic and new arcade and pinball games that are sure to please everyone.
Awesome place!! Super friendly owner and the games were a blast! Perfect place if you want to play Pinball!
Spent a couple hours here recently and had an awesome time on the Godzilla (Pro) machine. The spacing and layout is great for having as many machines as they do in here. Nice clean place, too. Lighting is low but I love that, really lets the machines do their thing and the players to focus. Definitely make it a point to swing in if you're in the area - I know I'll be here more!
Friendly staff, great selection of games! We hosted our son?s birthday party here and it was such a hit!
Brought my daughter there today and the staff were incredibly nice and very welcoming. The machines were in great service and we had a blast. If you're in the area, make the trip.
Had a great time. Lots of great arcade cabinets, almost reminds me of Aladdin?s castle in the 90?s. You will definitely find something you enjoy. Plenty of pinball tables, and the price is unbeatable. Will definitely be returning
Excellent place to go play pinball and 80's-90's arcade games. My son loved it too.
This place is SO FUN. for just $9 we got to play pinball, classic arcade games and DDR. We went on a Saturday evening and it was busy but not overcrowded and we still got to play the whole time. There are some snacks for sale there, but honestly we were too busy to get anything. This is right in downtown Rockford so there are lots of cool places to checkout while you are there.
We just found this place. If you like pinball games and the older arcade games you will enjoy going there. We had a great time and the cost reasonable. $9.00 an hour or$15.00 for two hours. If you were going to be in town all day. I would recommend paying the twenty dollars a person because you can come and go all day long.
My 10yr old and I had a great time. Fun goofing around on the classics I grew up with. He's excited to fill his punchcard this summer.
Highly recommend pinball land. Clean, well kept and great selection of games. Stop by to support your local small business!
My husband and I drive from Muskegon at least twice a month to play in the pinball tournaments on Wednesday nights. It's a blast even if you come in last place (yes I have). Last year I celebrated 20 years sober at Pinball Land. We rented the space and had family from all over join us for some friendly pinball competitions. Some family was apprehensive but by the time it was over, EVERYBODY wanted to stay and return again. So looks like we'll celebrate at Pinball Land again! Honestly, why would you NOT go?
Fun time with kids. Was very busy and there were lines at most machines, no fault of the business for being popular. Kids loved their play until you win claw machines.
This place was a blast, and the kids had a great time!
Hosted our son's 11th birthday party here . Clean affordable and the owner was Amazing. Highly recommend this place. Hands down . All my son's friends had a blast . Not to mention this place is clean And sanitized through out the facility. Thank You . King Family.
Great place to bring the whole family, adults and young children included. Owner is nice and truly passionate about his love for his games. Extremely affordable and fun for everyone!
Staff are really cool and they have a good variety of machines
An hour goes by so fast! So much fun!
Great arcade! Great selection of games and cabinets are always working great! The owner Ryan was really friendly, and very generous. The only thing I wish was a more flexible payment system. You can pay for one hour, 2 hours or all day. I wish I could pay a monthly subscription and walk in and play whenever I wanted! I would love to go in and play DDR every few days to relive my teenage years and get some good cardio done!
Always fun ?? every single time we are here, something is new it seems! It's great to be able to share with our kids what was so fun to us when we were younger.
Nice place to get your retro pinball and video game fix
Great place and clean good job!! Expanded since last visit. Good job!
Great experience...I brought the family here and we had a lot of fun playing pinball. Great selection of pinball with rotation of some tables. They offer a day pass with wristband however we find the 2 hour option fits our needs best
Asthmatics beware. Moldy, musty, grandparents wet basement. The smell almost killed me. Left to take Benadryl. Would be cute and fun if it were breathable air.
This is such a great arcade. Very fun selection of games with a good spread in age. A few were out of order (3?) but every game that was turned on played beautifully. I also liked the layout of little rooms. Much quieter and I rarely noticed other people playing. Staff are great too!
We had our sons birthday party here. You can rent the place from 10 to 12 on Saturdays before they open to the public. Everyone had a great time and loved it! Its nice just to pay for admission and not have to pay for each individual game you play. Will definitely be coming back!
So much fun. I am 40. I took my 70 year old mother there. She and I share an affinity for pinball. We had such a riot. Reasonable rates. Friendly staff. It's an arcade, so it's heavy on the kids. They do have a big jar of hand sanitizer up front. I just suggest bringing your own and being responsible. :)
One of my favorite places, period. I drive an hour to get here, pay for the All Day Pass, and my (7 years old) son and I have a blast every time. Owner is welcoming, enthusiastic, quick with advice for pinball success if you want it and the man has the patience of a saint with pinball first-timers and children. There IS such a thing as pinball etiquette and he's very good about gentle correction when people are just whaling away constantly at the flippers or starting four games at a time and then walking of
Love this place so much ???? we have been there for my daughter's birthday and for family time!! Very fun place to be!!tysm PinBall Land for a safe and fun environment ??
I took my son to Pinball Land and we had an amazing time. It has a great mix of new and classic titles. The flat-rate price model is a big plus, too. You can really get a lot of playing in for a low price. I can't say enough good things about our experience there.
You can definitely keep the kids busy here for an hour or two. Can be a little warm inside when it's hot out but not unbearable. There are plenty of games for all ages. Will take the kids back for sure.
So much fun for children AND adults. Pinball Land is a whole nostalgic vibe for all your classic, favorite games. Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Mortal Kombat, you name it. Looking forward to visiting again.
I really enjoy this place. In beautiful and historic downtown Rockford. Spend some hours playing some great pinball tables or retro arcade machines. They have a super variety and plenty of machines to keep you playing. If you spend about 15 bucks a person, you can play all day, and never have to feed quarters into the machines. Great concept, quaint location. After you get your pinball on, take a 1 block walk to historic "corner bar" for hot dogs and friendly folks.
Quite the throwback to the old school retro games. Great place to bring young ones to have them experience a blast from the past gaming session. What would've made it a 5 star for me is if there was a little bit more arcade games vs. pinball machines. I know that pinball is what they were mainly going for, and it's definitely a great place to play pinball but a lot more retro games there would be the best. 9/10 from me
We recently had my son's birthday party here. Great people to work with to get everything setup and organized. Additionally, everyone who attended had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the variety of pinball/arcade games that were available. Thanks!
Love this place! We visited from out of town and love this little arcade! My wife and I even placed in the top 4 on two games the first visit.
Great arcade with plenty of games to keep everyone entertained. Solid selection of pins with the classics mixed in with the newer stuff. Well kept, clean and adequately maintained. Will definitely be coming back.
Lots of fun for kids and adults. Plus they're super responsive to emails. Loud the unlimited/free play with a flat hourly rate vs feeding quarters.
Great place to spend some time! Kids love it! Pricing is awesome, wristband allows all day access so you can pop in and out, to grab lunch or something. Nice addition to Rockford. The owner is friendly and passionate about bringing this fun to town and it shows. We will be back!!
Went with my three boys and got the full day pass. Definitely the best deal, very enjoyable way to spend a full afternoon. A couple machines were out of order but we were not there for any specific games. Great atmosphere, fun games, clean interior, and great staff.
Great collection of classic pinball and arcade games!
Really affordable, $12 for adults, $9 for children, you get a wristband that allows for all day play even if you leave and come back! There are bars, restaurants, fro yo, toy shops, etc close by that you can easily walk to and check out while you take your break. Ryan Thompson is super friendly and helpful as well while you're in the arcade and helps add to the already fun environment. Awesome place!
Great idea for a fun afternoon or evening. With a nice mix of newer pinball machines and more nostalgic ones and some arcade games as well. Inexpensive entertainment, plus with the wrist band, you can walk around historic Rockford and get a bite or a beer as well as shop, then go back for more. Nice owner as well. I highly recommend!
Really cool place. I went with my wife and we had an awesome time. The owner was so friendly and helpful and the games were so much fun. We were there for over two hours and only left because we needed food. We will definitely be going back with more friends.
This arcade collection is INSANE!! Today was my first time visiting Pinball Land and I was shocked! Right as I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly owner who was super passionate about bringing fun to the Rockford Community again. He showed us all around the shop and told us he had been collecting these classic pinball machines for over 10 years! All of the machines are Freeplay meaning you don't need quarters to access the games. All you need is a one time payment for either an hour of playtime or a wr
On a recent trip to Rockford I discovered a real gem ....no... DIAMOND in the community! Pinball Land is the stuff that dreams are made of for a guy like me! All of these fantastic pinball machines (some real works of art) transported me to a special place in my past. The familiar sounds of the machines (flippers and all) were a great way to spend a little "me time" while visiting the area. I wish we had a place like this in Philly! I'll definitely be back!
Had lots of fun. The price is really good and it is unlimited play. They have a bunch of pinball machines and arcade games. They have paired up car and motorcycle racing arcades as well. Kids absolutely loved it. Will definitely be back.
My kids and I absolutely love this place. Went back for a 2nd time today and we will be back again. Owner is the nicest guy who truly loves sharing his collection, and it's an epic one. Fun, clean environment with the most pristine machines, new and old. Highly recommend.
First time playing here today and it was amazing. Plenty of machines to choose from and all kept up on with no problems at all. The owner is incredibly kind and down to earth. Seemed happy just seeing people having a good time. Will definitely be back regularly
OMG! What a deal and what a blast! Old school games and machines with newer versions too. We had a blast and an hour was gone in what seemed like 15 minutes!
Fantastic place with a great selection of games and most importantly awesome pinball!
It may not be the biggest, but this is the best arcade I have ever been to. Tons of great games all in excellent condition. Prices are more than fair, definitely a highlight of Rockford MI.
A lot of great fun machines to play on. Owner is super nice and friendly. Just wish there was more space. When it gets busy it can be a little cramped. But it's not really a huge problem when you're having a lot of fun.
Absolute FUN!! Great time! I love that I can pay the all-day rate, and then play the games as much as I want. I can leave and grab something to eat and then come back. Lots of pinball games, with other "screen" games there too.
This place is a lot of fun, especially for the price. There are lots of pinpall machines and all the classic arcade games. The staff has always been accommodating.
had a ton of retro fun! owner is a great guy and on site to help with machines and chat!
Fantastic new arcade! My son and I have been getting into pinball over the last year or so, and there are a lot of good locations in GR but this tops them all!! Extremely affordable, about half pinball and half arcade video games, and the owner Ryan is really great, explains all about each game and how to get bigger scores! Check this place out right in downtown Rockford!
Great place. I could and have spent hours here. Pinball game paradise!
Awesome place! Super clean, well kept machines, lots of games, and the owner was a real fun guy too! Great pricing and will be back again for sure!
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
Yes, pinball tables in arcades remain a blast. Their hands-on, skill-driven gameplay delivers a thrill digital games can’t match, blending nostalgia with modern flair. Newer tables from Stern and Jersey Jack feature LCD screens and themes like Avengers or Stranger Things, keeping things exciting. Arcades are seeing a pinball resurgence with vibrant scenes and tournaments like IFPA events drawing crowds. Though less common than video games, pinball’s tactile charm and community vibe make it a standout arcade experience in 2025.
Absolutely, retro games in arcades remain a thrilling draw in 2025! Classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Street Fighter II offer simple yet addictive gameplay, blending nostalgia with timeless challenge. Modern arcade cabinets often feature crisp displays and restored controls, enhancing the experience. These games thrive on quick reflexes and strategy, with vibrant pixel art and iconic soundtracks that spark joy. Arcades host tournaments and leaderboards, fostering a lively community. While modern games dominate, retro titles provide a unique, accessible thrill that keeps arcades buzzing.
Yes, rhythm games in arcades are a vibrant hit in 2025! Titles like Dance Dance Revolution and Beatmania deliver high-energy fun, blending music, movement, and precision. Modern machines boast vivid displays, booming sound systems, and diverse song libraries, from J-pop to EDM. They challenge reflexes and rhythm, with competitive leaderboards and tournaments fostering a lively community. Arcade dance floors are regularly packed, proving rhythm games’ immersive, physical thrill keeps them a standout in today’s gaming scene.
