Pin & Cue

Pin & Cue

Reviews Summary

The Pin and Cue offers a mixed experience with strong polarization in reviews. Many praise the friendly staff, good food, and fun atmosphere, particularly highlighting excellent service from bartenders and waitstaff. Bowling enthusiasts enjoy the updated lanes and family-friendly environment. However, recurring complaints include poor service, malfunctioning equipment, slow food service, and occasional rudeness. Food quality varies significantly, with some dishes praised while others are criticized as greasy or undercooked. The establishment shines when staff are attentive but falters during busy times or with technical issues. Positive experiences often lead to repeat visits, while negative ones frequently result in vows never to return.

My husband and I make a point to visit a local bowling alley every time we go on vacation. We had a relaxing evening, ate at the restaurant, bowled, and had a few drinks! Such a cute little place. If you don't have time to bowl, definitely try the food!

?????????? Fantastic Experience at the Pin and Cue! We had such a great time at the Pin and Cue in Whitefish! The atmosphere is fun and relaxed?perfect for everything from a casual hangout to a night out with friends. The food was excellent, the bowling lanes were clean and well-maintained, and the service was top-notch. Huge shoutout to Aaron and David behind the bar?they were friendly, fast, and made some of the best drinks we've had in town. They really went above and beyond to make everyone feel welco

We arrived on a Sunday evening, and all the liquor stores were closed. We were able to pop in here to grab a bottle of tequila at a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and quick to help. The bowling alley was popping, and their music selection was on point. Plenty of tvs with a good variety of things to watch. If you want liquor on a Sunday or a good time, this is your spot.

5/26 2pm. The waitress was outstanding!! Excellent personality and cheerful attitude. I give her 10 stars!! The one star is for the food. My food was atrocious. The bacon was burnt, biscuits were hard, barely any gravy, hash browns hard and tasted like oil. Only good thing were the eggs. You need a new cook. Also the bar tender, Ashley, was RUDE and not personable. I'd give her one star

We are from Texas and in town to visit our grown son who lives in Kalispell. We were looking for a fun thing to do as a family and Pin & Cue was perfect. We bowled for a few hours, had some beers and listened to fun tunes. Everyone was helpful and nice. Fun place!

Great bowling alley. Awesome bar/bartenders. Food comes out quick. Burger is sneaky good. Kid friendly?so perfect on a rainy day.

My bartender, a short skater looking guy was so incredibly RUDE! I'm actually a GM at a very popular high volume restaurant in Kalispell, I CAN NOT imagine having someone like this working for me. I wanted to leave, unfortunately my friends were bowling so I couldn't leave. When I asked what was up with his attitude I learned that he is like this all the time and with everyone. I highly recommend putting him in his place or getting rid of him. What an awful experience. I'm sorry you have this working for yo

The restaurant has been a good place for us to find a good breakfast when we are in Whitefish for an annual company retreat. we recommend it to several co-workers this year also

Aaron is such a good employee he went out of his way to make sure me and my friends were treated nicely. I love this bowling alley and its atmosphere!

I always love visiting local centers while traveling and this place didn't disappoint. Staff was super personable, food was really good, and a great selection of drinks available at the bar!

Came in here with a large group so we ended up on two lanes. I've been to San Diego and bowled there and in a place that is nicer in downtown, was only $25/hour. This place is $45/hour per lane which is completely outrageous. There were 8 lanes open but they had us wait until someone else was finished instead of giving us the open lanes. Appeared they had league night after closing and they didn't want to use those lanes because they cleaned them and didn't want to do it again. Just my guess. We were unawa

My husband and I brought our seven-year-old grandson here, our first time at this bowling alley. There were four people in the place so it was nice not having to wait to bowl. They also have lockers an area of machines such as car racing simulators, pool table, small casino, and a restaurant next-door. It was clean and lots of lanes. It's not new but it's great to find things to do here. My grandson actually beat my husband because they have the pop-up bumper for kids so the bowling ball doesn't go in the g

I am from Kalispell and recently moved to Spokane. I used to go bowling here quite often when I lived there. Came back for a vacation and decided to swing in! Always fun times. Shout-out to our server Kyrie! She was super pleasant and funny. She came to our table regularly to check in during our meal and was super nice!

Their name is pin and Cue, I went there to shoot pool. They have one stinking table that's kind of set off by itself.. They should change their name. There were quite a number of bowling lanes and apparently the food is good, but I didn't stay..

Our teenage kids went here not 2 hours ago to eat and bowl....one of them ordered a burger...totally raw and gross. They refused to refund the money and were "too busy to make something else" . We are locals and will be going to Grizzly lanes from now on

I have bowled here in League for more than a decade. In that time there have been aesthetic improvements which are nice: roof! Bathrooms, scoring displays and ball returns, flooring in the alley. However in that time bowling pricing has increased dramatically. From a few bucks for a game for league members or during specific windows to hourly bowling (normal rate is $45/hour). If you need shoes that will be another $5/person. Hourly billing fundamentally does not make sense for the game: it will shutdown

Great place for food, drinks and bowling! Always have a great time when I come here, reasonably priced as well.

Don't think we'll be back. Raw hash browns, burn toast (wrong kind) burnt ham steak, coffee that tasted like it had been recycled left overs from yesterday, and a waitress that had no knowledge of what was on the menu. $32 meal most of which was left on the plate. ***the implication that I am lying about the price ensures I will not be back and will make sure to tell everyone else not to even bother. PS, 2 breakfasts and 2 awful coffees =$32.96 exactly, and I remember the number because that is exactly what

Lance, Ophelia, and Chelsea crushed it on a busy Saturday! The even measured the liquor to make sure we were getting exactly what we expected out of a drink. Top notch spot!

Hi! I just spent 6 minutes trying to order an omelet over the phone. The server was SO SWEET and patient (as usual) but the new computer system wouldn't allow for the build your own omelet I wanted. I felt horrible for the poor gal who no doubt had food to run, tables to greet, coffee to refill and guests to cash out. Would be great if their computer system allowed them the flexibility to input a normal order in a timely fashion. With all that said, I'd love to continue coming here as we work across the str

Wasn't happy with the price or the young kids working the alleys cuz they were kind of rude but the bar staff made up for it. Those dudes were rad! I love this place and have been coming here for years and I'll be back!

Friendly and enjoyable atmosphere great service and good food for reasonable cost.

Stopped here to get some pizzas to go. We took the combination which was good. The crust specifically was great and the toppings were really good and tasty. They only have 1 size though but worked out well for my group. We also got a veggie pizza without mushrooms which was also pretty tasty. I forgot the name though.

My wife and I came to the Pin and Cue to have some drinks and do some bowling Wednesday, December 4th, and the experience was absolutely horrible. The establishment was dirty, the staff were very inattentive, and the food was definitely subpar. Beyond the overpriced food, and terrible service the icing on the cake was when I went to smoke a cigarette and saw three staff members standing outside the smoking area snorting something off a phone as if it was a normal thing. Not sure what kind of business is bei

Good quality and service. There was quite a wide range of different kinds of food including all day breakfast!

Go to Grizzly Lanes, We came in and were seated within 10 minutes for bowling. In the first 10 minutes, we had a malfunction with the lane and asked for it to be fixed. It took over 7 minutes to be fixed and so we asked for that time back, unfortunately it wasn't added. When it came towards the end of our visit, we asked for only an additional 5 minutes for the wasted time to be added back on. We were told that it would need to be charged to a card again. When called out for not adding the time, the older

Been going here since I was a kid. Now it's time to bring the next generation. Had a blast with my nephew and best friend of 3 decades. Great place to being your family and have a good time. Food and beverages always seem to be on point. Best time is the middle of the afternoon on a weekday. Evenings and weekends can get a little busy as your would expect from a great facility. Local favorite!

Used the laundromat. Was a nice plot twist to have fun activities to do while doing a medial adult task ! Had a bit of trouble starting my machine, though help was available and eager to help immediately. Will definitely be making this my ? regular ? spot !

We rented two lanes for a group of 10 for a couple hours and in the last couple minutes the lane malfunctioned and we informed the front desk about the issue. They tried to fix the mechanical problem but they didn't fix it in time before the game ended. We weren't able to bowl the last player in the last frame due to this mechanical issue. The guy behind the desk said ?sorry, you're out of luck?. No extended time, no credit - Incredible customer service! I argued with the guy on why this wasn't our fault

Went in for some food to go and low behold they had my favorite tequilla. Served with a big ice cube and a smile. The salad is delicious and Hunter is a delight! Edit: I wanted to add Ashley and Noah to this because they were both great today. Thanks for the laughs and good food.

Attentive staff. Great family atmosphere. Reasonably priced.

Hours don't say it but the Laundry hours are 8am to 10pm. I just wasted a trip so will have to go back tomorrow. Update: Went back today. Not great. I went to the laudromat to wash a couple of queen down comforters. I decided to use the biggest machine and wash both at the same time for $10.50. I pulled over a chair to watch while I did work and the next thing I know I'm sitting in a puddle. Every rotation more water seeped out. Then on to the largest dryer. On High Heat it took an hour and a half

We went in here 3 times during our visit to Whitefish. Our server (Snickers) was great and was so much fun. She put the college football game on and took care of us for several hours. I would definitely recommend.

My husband and I love this place. It's our date night where I get to dance and bowl and have the best time. They recently updated all the lanes with new tech and huge TVs!

I enjoyed my time there with friends and really had a lot of fun.For those wondering they do have a bar area and casino area but it's off to where it's out of sight out of mind if you wondering about your kiddos. They do also have a restaurant area as well. You may also want to call to see if they have a waiting list. I called ahead and of course there was a list but I didn't have to wait long at all because I called ahead of time,so by the time I arrived it was already my time to play . They do play music

I'll start this off by saying if you want a Good Bowling Alley Grizzly Lanes should be your choice!! *Spent $80 for an hour of bowling. Everything was good to start. However, 20 minutes into our game, the lane was stuck and delayed our game at least 5-7 minutes before it was fixed. No Big deal but the whole time our play clock went down. This was a problem at the end of the game when we had 3 turns left and no time. I brought this up to the man at the front counter and all he did was insist on charging me

Food was good. Setting is a bit outdated. It is inside a bowling ?? alley. Only 1 waitress for the whole place. But she did the best she could. Coffee was good as well!

Our fries were horrible. They were not cooked all the way they were wimpy and they were freezing cold. Our food was cold like it been sitting out for 10 minutes horrible the taste probably would?ve been good if it would?ve been hot and then we got the excuse or heater is out our heat light isn't working Won't go back

Aaron is on top of it, busy as heck with bar, casino and alley full house he still got ya..patience is a thing but he hasn't forgotten ya!

Worst service i ever had at a casino been here an hr not one person asked if I needed a drink bit they on top of your cash out with there hands out right away a first and last for me

Today was terrible! During a 15 minute wait, my husband and I eventually received water and finally a menu (not at the same time) but we pretty much knew what we wanted we were just waiting for the waitress to return. I wanted biscuits and gravy and my husband wanted a simple cheeseburger but when the waitress came to our table we were informed that the kitchen wasn't taking anymore orders right now. Unbelievable!

We've had a really nice breakfast and bowling day here last Sunday. How cool is to be American ?????? God bless the USA.

What can you ask for additional? The food is on point . The owner shakes hands and is friendly, the bowling and music ?? rock. One of the best

I definitely recommend grizzly lanes over this if you have kids. I'd make the drive to the other one any day of the week.

Great place for sports and bar food!

We bowled a couple games. Staff is friendly and the restrooms were clean. All in all, we had a good time. Next time we may try the food, it looked good.

Food and service was horrible. Do not waste your time.

Few of visited this place for a night cap late at night on our way back from Sturgis while staying at a nearby hotel. Super friendly and awesome host, a great sports bar for a town this size that's open quite late at night. Love this place!

Such a fun atmosphere, great bartenders!!

Laundromat review: cheapest wash is $6.50 in a regular size washer. Lots of available machines on a Monday afternoon. Hot!!! No AC running while I was there. I had to sit in my car to not melt.

Played 1 hour of bowling which was pricier than expected. Lanes were great but not a lot of lighter balls available for kids. The lightest we found was 8lbs (my son usually uses a 6). There were a lot of 14 and 15lbs available. Didn't have food but did go to the nice bar for drinks. No table service.

Good old fashioned diner style food, service and atmosphere. What we like

The bowling alley is fine, but the real gem here is the bar/restaurant. This is better than bowling alley food and the pizza is actually pretty great. They can get busy so go when you can be patient. Even if you just need to grab a bite and have a beer, this place is worth checking out. There is an attached restaurant that you can access without going into the bowling alley.

Diner food can be good, albeit simple. Yet this place just doesn't know how to cook food. Be proud but everything is store bought pre made pre packaged, onion rings, fries, wings, mash, sauces, soups, hash browns, hollandaise. No real Cooking going on tbh. Bacon and eggs, burgers and sandwhiches are hard to mess up. Their burritos, chicken fried steak, more specialty items are terrible, no seasoning, no flavor, weird combinations, just awful food. You don't CUT breakfast burritos in half on a bias. You can

It's a nice place. However, the lanes kept breaking down, and the staff are unable to give you extra time to compensate for that.

Our plates dropped on table. Waitress left and never came back. Iced tea was warm w no ice. Club sandwich had turkey that didn't taste right. My wife needed ranch dressing, waitress never came back.We were left there, no check. Went to cashier station. She was annoyed to have to go get our check. 3 other people from different tables were waiting also. We did notice that the people they knew, locals, seemed to get good service and communication. Horrible experience.

I typically don't write reviews, but after my experience last night I have to. My family and I went out for a night of bowling and good times last night. The Pin and Cue always delivers on our visits. I called ahead to find out what the wait times were. The person I spoke with was friendly and shared that the current wait times were 30 minutes. We packed everyone up and off we went. Once there, the wait times were still around 30 minutes and we put our name on the list. 40 minutes later I received a

The food here is amazing and the prices are very reasonable. A cinnamon French toast had us coming back for more. The waitress Deb was wonderful and we returned more than once. Tracey

I've been going to the Pin and Cue since I was just a teenager. Now, 45 years later,my Grandkids and I still enjoy everything about eating here. The food, atmosphere and mostly the SERVICE. I love the server.....Dawn. she is a walking encyclopedia. She knows all the things people NEED to know about this valley. She's pleasant and super efficient. Totally request her if you eat there. Can't say enough good things about this business. It's a local Fave.

Good place for snacks and bowling fun. The food and drinks are cheap, they accommodated my five year old son by finding him a bowlers ramp, and everyone was amazingly nice. I couldnt recommend this place more for an afternoon of family fun.

The restaurant side was amazing, I understand short staff and they handled it perfectly. Although the bowling side, I have never had worse service getting shoes and a lane than I have there. Asking for help we would get ignored and then told it's done. I really hope they work on there staff?s attitude towards customers trying to have a fun evening in whitefish.

Awesome home cooked Christmas Day Dinner $27.00 per person. Not at all expensive as you can't eat it all even tho it tastes ''EXACTLY'' like my Mom made it? Huge generous Turkey & Ham. My Stars the Ham was so Awesome. Real mashed potatoes and dressing and corn and candied yams and dinner-rolls topped of with slice of pumpkin pie with whipcream topping. They offer a very well made take-out container as there was no way I could finish it all. Before leaving I told the waitress and kitchen crew that I thoug

The food was pretty good. I got the country Benedict and that tasted great. The hash browns that came with it however, didn't.

Deb r server was amazing and spot on with everything

I like to them them 5 plus star review. They very nice bartender they know me very well Wes is the best bartender. I having problems with other bars back home in FL. The bartender FL plant drugs in the bathroom and kick them out I glad Pin and Cue don't do that. I should have stay in Montana not back home. I have no problems with Pin and Cue and others bar in Whitefish . Wes should promote to bartender manager. FL bars are the worst and Montana is the best experience I have past few months.

Great place to knock down a few pins. Had some time to kill with my grandson after a great time at Glacier National Park. Also had a few games of pool. Nice place.

Had a great "me" time. Wonderful bartender and staff. Pizza was great.

Though we had a mishap here, the owner reached out and was very kind and courteous in rectifying our situation. When an owner is willing to take their time to directly communicate and fix an issue I feel that shows that it is a good business with good people running it.

Would give zero stars if I could. Waitress sucked and so did the food. Will never be back

I had a great dinner and service. Prime rib was incredible.

We stopped at the restaurant at 920 PM on Tuesday night. The restaurant advertised closing at 10 PM but the dining room was empty and staff was cleaning. They kindly agreed to allow us to eat. ( unusual in these days of low staffing) The chicken tenders were great and the hamburger was outstanding. Very nice and informative waitress. Will definitely stop there again.

Only rated one star because that's as low as I could rate it. The restaurant had maybe 2 tables and it took over an hour to get a burrito made. Only good part about the place was the waitress, who was a treat and in good spirits. Aside from that the cooks smelled and we're being extremely unpleasant.

It's what you would expect for a bowling alley. $40 to bowl for an hour. We went at 4pm on a Monday, and a rainy day. Pretty busy.

Food was super greasy. Waitress was wonderful. Poor lady was working alone but she busted her tail to get everyone taken care of. She deserves a raise.

It's Whitefish, MT. Big Hang Out is next to Safeway. It's also part of the bowling alley. The food is good, and it's next to hotels and a grocery store. It's a nice place for good home cooking.

Menu has changed for the worse. Many things no longer available, increased prices, & food quality is bad now. It has gotten so bad all the waitresses that have worked there for decades have left. Our waitress was very rude. The person I was eating with ordered eggs on the side. His eggs were put a plate with my biscuit & we were told I would have to move the eggs to his plate because the waitresses couldn't do it because of the computer! What! Ridiculous! We have been patrons here for 40+ years, current man

Edit: the owner reached out wanting to make things right. We stayed in town an extra day (we're not from here) but then they weren't there when we came in. We've emailed and called with no response going forward. We did our laundry here. On the machine we chose a COLD Gentle Wash and when I pulled the clothes out of the washing machine they were scalding hot. Shrunk sweater, ruined pants, shirt, incredibly frustrating (we've had over $300 worth of clothes ruined.) The machine definitely did not wash the cl

Very clean. Fun atmosphere. Staff wasn't very friendly. We started in the restaurant, the server was very friendly. The food, was not good. The kids hot dog was not very kid friendly. The fries were cold and drenched in old oil. The nachos would have been really good if the chips were not all soggy. The chicken quesadillas were really greasy and super tough to eat.

Food sucks and takes way to long. Kitchen staff has no clue how to cook, no idea how to get food out in a timely manner. Heard 4 other tables complaining about the food while I waited forever for ours.. Don't recommend eating here unless your dieing... Still waiting over 45 min.... Arrrrrrgggg!!!!!!

Staff needs some serious customer service training. Waitress was unbelievably rude and not helpful at all. In addition we waited an hour for our food, had they told us when we sat down that was the wait we would have gone elsewhere. Food was mediocre and bland and my son ordered the mickey pancakes with eggs and bacon and revieved the most abysmal amount of eggs I have ever seen. Seriously 2 tiny chunks of egg. I feel ripped off. Never again. The only thing they were prompt at was getting our check to us. G

Lanes are all broken and staff doesn't care

This is one of the best places for a chicken fried steak! We usually go to the casino and gamble drink and eat. The bar customer service is awesome. It can get busy sometimes and it may take a little longer to get a drink but it's worth it. Seeing the kids bowling and happy is fun too. Especially the arcade!

The food is expensive for what you get.

Not a place to bowl with young kids, your games are timed, it is ridiculous no matter how you look at it. Even if I bowled with adults we like to drink chat and enjoy our time out and not be pressured by a time limit. Would I go back here let me think NOT! Staff are really nice that's the 2 star rating. Food was terrible as well

Only came here for the laundromat. The machines were modern and worked well. Although they have a restaurant, we didn't eat there.

I'm not a regular bowler, but Pin & Cue is awesome. Fun place to roll a couple games with friends while you're in Whitefish.

Really good breakfast. I bring my kids with me so they can have smiley face pancakes! Today I had the bacon omelette and it was actually really good. The waitress was quick, food came out hot and was at our table quickly. Good eats!!

One stop shop they have it all. Bowling alley, bar and liquor store, restaurant, arcade and laundry mat. Great place to eat. Family friendly bowling alley. Have a drink while you wash your clothes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”

Are pool tables in arcades still good in this modern age?

Yes, pool tables in arcades remain a fantastic draw in 2025! Games like 8-ball or 9-ball offer tactile, skill-based fun that blends strategy and precision. Modern tables feature smooth felt, responsive cues, and vibrant designs, enhancing the classic experience. Arcades foster a social vibe with casual matches or competitive tournaments, appealing to all skill levels. Unlike digital games, pool’s physicality—lining up shots, feeling the cue’s weight—keeps it timeless.
