Place is a joke. Brought in 8 in box NES games(two had instructions). My friend told me they pay good for games. Not so much. They offered me $149 in cash. I did my homework before selling. Worth quite a bit more. Little did they know that Ive been collecting and selling for years. Smart ass kid working there asked me where I got the games. This is why you sell online. It may take longer but it's much better. Phoenix games missed out on hundreds of future vintage games.

Phoenix Games is a great place to find vintage and new games, game systems, and cool novelty items. Plus, they have an arcade in the back full of classic and new pinball and arcade games. The staff is friendly, helpful, super knowledgeable, and a bit unusual, but always cool. The owner is often there and is really cool and super helpful and knowledgeable, as well. It's a pretty cool place, definitely worth checking out.

Wow! I love visiting retro game shops and this stands out as one of the best. It doesn't have a flashy setup or decked out displays, but it's got variety, plenty of stock and lots of rare / uncommon titles. I saw so much that I loved- instruction manuals, cases, uncommon games and, most importantly, GREAT prices. They beat out what you find on eBay easy. The employees are super nice, too. If I didn't live so far away I'd be visiting every week!

Excellent selection of used games for older systems. Super dope mini arcade available for use seven dollars for one hour, four dollars for half an hour. All of the games were functional and entertaining. New Age machines as well as throwbacks. Threw me all the way back to Nickel City days. Loved it, can't wait to go back.

Currently I go to Phoenix for the pinball but I've bought games here in the past. They have a great selection of new and used games a wide variety of consoles and hand-helds. The staff is very helpful and friendly. With a good selection of about 15 rotating tables plus a good number of retro video games, it's a fun place to spend some time. I've been stopping in occasionally for a long time but playing pinball more regularly brings me to Phoenix more often now. Thanks for being a part of Concord's pinball

Had a really productive day there getting estimates on my games, playing some arcades and made a purchase of Genesis and Dreamcast games..old-school! The service I got from the twin brothers named Aaron and Shawn was quality. I especially enjoyed how they finished each other's sentences. They know one another well. Great store found a game I've been looking for for years. The guys in the front were really friendly and helpful as well. The arcade is awesome and a great deal for the variety of games and rare machines I've never seen before.

Great place to play old school pinball and arcade games. I just wish this place had two things for customers. They need reasonable size step stools for kids as I only seen one bar stool for my daughter to use unless they had them hidden or you have to request it. The other thing I feel they need is plastic cups so people can put their coins inside the cups because not all people have pockets on their clothes.

Super awesome had a ton of fun with my father playing most of the games there. There are tons of pinball machines and also lots of you're classic games. Digdug , Galaga , E.T.C. Has mortal combat. In the front and main vending area there is lots of games for you're DS GameBoy PlayStation Xbox and other gaming systems. You can buy lots of classical games. There are fluctuations in availability of different specific games.

This place is great. They have so many games across so many systems, several systems, all the peripherals, and a whole bunch of expertise. If you go, give yourself at least an hour more than you think you need. That way you can spend some very reasonably-priced time in their arcade.

The absolute coolest place you can go in Concord. As someone who's lived in this area my whole life, I was never happier to find any other store. Been dropping by periodically since they were back at the old spot, the arcade in the back keeps getting better and better.

Just took my first trip here and was blown away by the nostalgia! So many amazing games, incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff who helped me figure out a game I played as kid that I couldn't remember the name of. Will be going back many, MANY times for the arcade in the back

Nice game store, they have a great selection and I always stop by when I'm in the area. Probably my favorite game store in the Bay Area. Took away a star because I don't like that they charge a fee for using credit cards. Just feels a little cheap/dirty. I'd rather they just raise all their prices by a couple percent rather than tacking on annoying fees. Not a deal breaker, but that's my feedback.

I actually like this game store. It's hard to find retro game stores nowadays let alone one in my area. I've came here numerous times with no issues because they have good a stock on most retro games and consoles. Unfortunately when it comes to trading games into them I would say don't do it. If I wanted to get 1 dollar for a bunch of almost mint Sega games complete in box I would go to gamestop. I was very disappointed with the prices they were trying to give me. If it wasn't for that I would give 4 stars

If you love video games, this store has tons of stuff for you! Staff is super helpful with game recommendations for old systems like the NES all the way to current PS5, Xbox, and Switch! They also probably have the systems to play any of those games as well. Great selection and constantly getting new stuff. Also has a play by the hour full arcade in the back with lots of games and pinball machines. Highly recommend this place. I stop by there regularly!

It's ok. Prices are quite a bit on the higher side but they have a decent selection. Arcades and pinball in the back is the best part. Staff is ok but not really attentive. If you must get a game that day it works, anything else I'd suggest eBay or other places online to save some money.

I'm so glad that this place exists nearby where I live! A very cool store with lots of Video Game collectibles, for the retro gamer. They have games from old 90s systems to present. They also have new games on the backwall as well, limited run and imports. It's great to have a store that has those rare physical new media and the prices are pretty competitive for them. They also have nintendo power magazines and some plushes / statues. My favorite part of the store though is the pinball arcade in the back.

The store and its arcade are great on a first glance, though most of the games are pretty mid. Still a great place to look for any collectables, as I picked up the Bravely Default collectors edition and a gold cartridge Legend of Zelda copy!

Hidden gem. I don't know much about their used games operations but they have a cool little pinball/classic arcade area in the back with rotating machines. They switched from coin op to prepay for time slots and it's very reasonable for a quick 15 - 30 minutes of fun.

A locally owned game store where you can find a amazing collection of both new and older games and accessories. They also have an arcade in the back with games ready to be played.

I went there to trade some consoles yesterday. They gave me a quote but were honest with me and told me not to sell them because I could get more for them on my own. They could have just taken my stuff and not have been honest with me about the value of what I had! Thank you for being upfront and honest with me. The customer service is superb and the employees knowledge is mind blowing. I've yet to have a question I couldn't get an answer for. This place is awesome only 1 of 2 video game stores I know of that still carries PS2 games. It was also fun playing pin ball and vintage video games in the back. My friend showed me this place. I was looking for a Gameboy Advance SP charger and they had it. Plus their selection of games is really solid. They have retro and newer games for the latest gaming consoles. They also sell accessories. I wasn't able to play on the selection of pinball machines they have since my friends and I were in a bit of a hurry but I will next time I'm here.

This place is great, have been here to sell and buy games and consoles. Great employees, very knowledgeable about everything it seems. They have pinball games and arcade games. Haven't been here in almost a year due to covid. Needed to kill some time so I grabbed my quarters and marched right in. To my surprise they changed up the arcade machines pay and play. Instead of quarters you pay for time. $4 = 30 minutes of play time of any game OR $7 for 1 hour. You can play any pinball or cabinet game they have. Just recently went there, the people there are very knowledgeable and very courteous. Bought a 19 year old game that looks like it was made yesterday. I love coming here to look for retro games. They always test their products and make sure they work. I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking to build a retro game collection. Huge selection of games from every generation. If you are a video game fan or collector this place will dazzle you. They also do disc resurfacing. I just got a copy of Metal Gear Solid(PS1) resurfaced. It wasn't working properly before but now I am an hour into the game and it works flawlessly. Can't wait to come back.

I wish I could give less than one star, this place is so dishonest and uncustomer-friendly. I wanted a genuine Nintendo 64 controller and since they only had 3rd party controllers, I was put on the wait list. A few weeks later I finally got a call saying they had one. I drive there and buy the controller for about $21 all told. When I get home and removed the plastic to test it out, I find that the Z-button is broken, the D-pad is unresponsive and the joystick had been replaced with a very stiff and uncomfo

THE!!!! BEST!!! Place to get retro games at a fare and reasonable price, every time I head over to Antioch, on my way, I stop by here and search for games on my list. It's friendly environment and blistering collection with the boxes and manuals keep me coming back. I can't tell u how much I enjoy coming here and browsing when ever I head over that way.

It's a cool game store, has a large selection of games and accessories vintage and contemporary. It also has a really cool arcade. It has Ghouls and ghosts and even a Terminator 2 machine among others. It also has a great selection of pinball machines.

I like this place for the pinball machines. A few months ago I got a WII U and was ordering games and accessories online. I called them to see if they had a charger cable and they did! I was looking at 4 different stores only to find Phoenix games had everything and a ton of games at the best prices! They have games for every gaming system and a lot of joysticks, cables etc. Come play some pinball too!

This gem of a store is a great throwback to my childhood. It seems they carry every game ever made since the Atari came out! The staff is very friendly and happy to help you find whatever you're looking for. Theres even a classic pinball arcade in the back. Got an older Wii system from here still in the box for $10 bucks more. Definitely a bargain! Would've loved to get this system and three games for only $90 back in the day. Lol Got it for a Christmas present for the kids they love it! It was used but still in great condition and no problems whatsoever. Just glad Phoenix games exist! Someone has to have a store with older gen gems and this is definitely the spot to find them.

When I walk in I'm transported to a more simple, more peaceful time.They seem to have everything you're looking for, but if somehow they don't they take requests and will keep an eye out for you! Even if they find it and you decide you don't want it, no fee or penalty. All games are tested and cleaned, returns are welcome so long as it falls within the terms and for store credit.

Stumbled on this place with my stepdaughter and it's gotta be one of the coolest game stores on the planet....especially love the pinball machines the back! Phoenix Games is a gem of a used video game store tucked away in Concord. It has a friendly, helpful staff, reasonable prices and a very nice selection of games. Though is out of my way, I'm very willing to make the trip and I try to stop by from time to time to see what classic titles they may have on sale. Easily a five-star location.

They got a lot of cool old games to relive your memories. They also have a disc fixer to fix the game that is worn out of enjoyment. The only downside depends on the way you're coming from. You may have to go down to make a U-turn

I've been going to this establishment for a long time now and it never gets old! They have a HUGE selection from very old games and systems to the newest games and systems. That's not including the pinball machines and old school stand up video games!

These guys are awesome! Chris helped me try and find my husband an old PS2 and was totally up front and honest about the ones I was looking at online compared to the ones they had. Everything we have bought from them for both our Playstation and Playstation 2 has been in PRISTINE condition. This is amazing to me considering how old the games/consoles are! So glad I ran across them.

When I first came here, I thought, oh it's going to be a thrift store for video games. But, when I walked in, I was completely blown away! The store was awesome! Their service isn't very good, and most of their games are PlayStation and Microsoft games. I went there looking for GameCube games, but I was actually disappointed. They had games that were bad, and that I've never even seen. Same goes with the dreamcast games. But, they have a cool arcade.
