Typical bowling alley, its very conventions to have one on ft. Hood. Their food choices are slim and they don't allow in outside food or drink so plan ahead. They seem to be ok with bringing in your own water bottle though. Their arcade was closed when we went. Also if you need a small ball for kids, they keep those behind the counter, just ask.
This is on Fort Hood bowling which has events for families and free kids bowling at times. We really had a great time doing the galaxy bowling night. During spring break and summer this is one of our go to places for the girls.
Staff was great! Had an excellent time with my grandsons! Concessions was great! Well worth it!
Phantom Warrior Lanes is the ultimate bowling haven! From the moment I stepped inside, I was blown away by the vibrant atmosphere and top-notch facilities. The lanes were immaculate, the equipment was well-maintained, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The bowling experience was nothing short of fantastic. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a novice, Phantom Warrior Lanes caters to all skill levels. They offer a variety of fun games and challenges to keep things exciting, making it perfect
My husband and I love the league we are on. I enjoyed it so much that I chose to participate in the summer league also. After summer league was over we still went every week with our team members to practice. The staff is very helpful with anything they can do. We need a new cook as ours retired last year. There is one gentleman that fills in on Thursday nights. Thankfully because the food is really good.
This place is on Ft Hood and you need to have a military id or be with someone who has on post privileges to get a lane. This is the biggest bowling alley in the Ft Hood/Killeen area. The lanes are split where there are lanes on each side and has the snack area and pro shop in the middle. There is also a game room and a party room area. They are now closed on Mondays. They also have youth and adult bowling leagues.
Equipment need some heavy maintenance, constant problems with the lanes!! Also they are closed on the days soldiers have off so they can't even bowl when they are actually off.
Great place to bowl. They have lots of funny scoring animation.
Lane #38 kept pausing; cost a bit much for enlisted personnel & their families. Food was good, lanes clean; soda employee was very polite & expedient.
We've had several unit Family Readiness Group functions here. The kids and families love the place. The friendly staff always works with us and give us great deals.
Was better than the local bowling alleys here in the area. Was also half the price and for 2 people we paid a little over $30 bucks including shoe rental. They spaced us out from others which was nice but then they stuck a family with very young kids next to us and the kids started to get in the way but overall was better than I excepted for it being being on base. Music was good and the snacks were fairly priced. Would recommend for date night and budget friendly.
Three of us bowled 3 games for 38$ (that's including shoes for all three of us). They played good music and had a snack bar, too. There's a bar and an arcade there as well. Nice place ??
what a fun environment! very nice inside with 48 lanes and the prices can't be beat. food is good with a nice variety! so friendly!
This was my first time there. It was clean, friendly, updated and lots of fun. The food was great also. Would definitely recommend this place.
Very nice ambient, food was pretty good for a bowling alley and the staff was solid. The only problem here is that the equipment is in need of a lot of maintenance. We tried two different lanes and we had to keep fixing scores as the scanners scaned the wrong pins, the resetter kept toppling pins, the ball return was 3 balls behind... there were balls stuck innthe shute. All in all we lost a lot of time fixing those issues.
Great old school vive. With probably the cheapest prices in town.
Shut down the grill 5 hours before closing for short staffing terrible. Lots errors on the lanes.
Bowling with friends is always fun. However, we had annoying technical issues which delayed the flow of our game several times and killed the vibe. We asked for help repeatedly but the problems were ignored and eventually our group had to switch lanes. Lane 16 does not properly reset pins and the touchscreen computer on lane 15 is unresponsive. Many balls do not have the proper weight amount labeled on them too. This place has potential but poor management.
Good place, Funny, nicely staff, delicious snacks
This is a great, modern bowling alley with tons of amenities, great place for the whole family
It was fun just had a few issues with the lanes. The pins kept falling down when they rest for the next player. Besides that it was nice and the employees were polite.
The staff was nice and the food came out fast. They were able to accommodate our family gathering. Thank you!
Friendly, good food, fun for all ages
This place was so accommodating to us with our 2 year old Granddaughter. They gave us a dinosaur for her to roll the ball off of to bowl too. She was thrilled! Then they have 4 pound balls that our Grandsons could use. Plus clean restrooms.
Great fun. We played on the black light side and had a blast. They have a slide thing for the younger kidd to help them bowl. We will definitely go back.
The past 2 times we have been told we pay the per game price. Each time we have problems & our game ends before we're done after being told it won't cut off since we pay per game not per hour. and both the male managers have told me to contact someone higher up than them as it's not they're problem and we paid for the hour which we never do. I'm just trying to bowl at the price that is advertised online. And each time I am met with attitude and them telling me there's nothing they can help me with! Lmao su
It's probably the best bowling alley and events center I've seen on any Army base. There are tons of lanes with nice computer screens. Lanes were well maintained as well. It had a nice selection of arcade games. The snack bar had plenty of options, and the prices were fair. If you have kids, you should check it out.
Very reasonable prices, decent snack bar; overall clean & well kept
Friendly staff, clean facility, overall just lots of good family fun.
Excellent staff that is super helpful. They have something like 40 lanes for bowling, they can fit a massive number of families. They hosted the special Olympics there is it was a phenomenal event. Definitely will be taking my family here again.
Very nice. We appreciated the fact that you open @ 8:30 in the morning????????. This a new sport for me so I had a really great time. Neal was very nice with a Wonderful sense of humor. Clean, friendly atmosphere. Music very nice too.
The environment is nice and fun. They sometimes turn off the lights so we can enjoy the neon effects. They sell alcohol, mostly just beer. Haven't tried the pizza but people say it's good
Not gonna lie...I didn't have high expectations haha but this place was great! Really clean and a lot bigger than I thought! My family had a blast and i saw the staff walking around and disinfecting balls and seats. The arcade is kinda run down and ate some of our money but the staff got us reimbursed!
We paid for a $160 package for a birthday.. the room wasn't clean. Boxes in the there and everything was so messy. So we had to clean it before setting it up. The service girl had no idea what she was doing, understaffed. The whole thing seemed a bit chaotic. Probably won't be back for any party reasons.
Went on a Friday afternoon, hardly anyone in there which made a rusty player like mine feel comfortable lol staff is helpful and quick. Small arcade, coin machine nearby. Clean bathrooms good all around.
They put a kids party in the lane right next to us full of disrespectful kids and adults. The adults kept walking through our lane and almost stepped on my child and kept placing their belongings on the chairs in our lane. The kids were running around and had no idea about bowling etiquette which was extremely frustrating. Parents were too busy watching soccer on their phone to pay attention to their kid snatching a bowling ball out of another kids hands and getting in our lane stopping my family from being
Just being back home at Fort Hood, yes, I said Fort Hood, and getting my Son and his family on post to enjoy some of the things I enjoyed as a child them later on, being a Soldier, was a great way to spend the day.
Our lane kept having repeated issues with the score being inaccurate as well as needing to be repaired several times in a single game alone. Food is mediocre but not the worst I've ever had. I'd ask to be put in a lane that wasn't having issues the past few days like they did to us
Love this bowling alley!!! Beautiful lanes, fast services, food pretty good. Music can be played from jukebox on wall. Best time to go is Saturday between 4pm-6pm. Lots of families were there. Had a great time!
We love this place, always clean, staff is friendly, the food tastes great too. My daughter has done 2 years of the summer bowling league through CYS. We have attended birthday parties here. All in all, we have always had a great time.
We used to love it here...until today. Im so glad we chose to pay per game unstead of per hour. We used 2 lanes. Both lanes had persistant issues between the pins not resetting properly, the pins being dropped during each reset, the balls not returning etc. It took us well over an hour to complete 1 game due to the constant interruptions. We had to continuously call for help for issue after issue. Not once during 2.5hours of trying to bowl were we offered to move lanes. After 2.5 hours and unable to get thr
Bowling was fun. Pizza was pretty good. My biggest gripe was we were on the last 2 lanes on the left and the employees kept going out the back door and smoking and propping the door open with a rock. It literally stunk up our lanes with cigarette smell and made it extremely cold in that area. I asked several times that they close it. Someone would close it and then another would come by and prop it again. My whole family is asthmatic and I'm also pregnant. My husband personally asked several times that t
Dont go here expecting to bowl till 2200. We arrived at 2000 ready to bowl til 2200 like their hours say. Was refused 2 hours so they could clean up at 2130 according to the 2 gentleman at the main desk. Also don't know what time they stop making food but at 2000 when we got there the kitchen was closed and alread completely clean. Worst MWR bowling alley I've been to in 9 years. And I used to work for some bad naf/mwr facilities.
They are constantly having lane issues, and you might want to eat before you get there!
The bowling alley is pretty good when you don't have your lane breakdown. The food could be better and the manager has been rude at times. I understand we are in a pandemic but no one needs to be rude.
$2 dollar games! Nothing else really needs to be said. BUT, I have to talk about the food GOOD LORD!! The juicy thick 1/2 burger, the crispy golden brown fries, the fresh crispy and melted cheese sticks... Man... we usually don't waist money on those little inside side restaurants, but my GOD it's delicious. Ok that's it..
Phantom Warrior is very clean and staff is always attentive to customer needs. Off post locations always pack cuz of leagues but some how Phantom has always has available lanes at last min taking kids.
The Atmosphere is awesome but it takes a lot of time to get your food, the Lanes also get stuck a lot so have patience but from bowling to some video games, it's an awesome atmosphere.
Clean lanes and overall friendly staff. This place has 48 lanes....48! I have never seen such a big bowling alley before. The systems are updated nicely and work well. My kids loved the Dragon ramp to roll their ball compared to the metal frames. Sometimes, it is the little things.
Could be better. Currently under renovations as of 23 may 18. Staff is usually attentive but the snack bar takes forever to get your food cooked.
Very large bowling alley that has plenty of room for large parties. Modernized lanes and screens with auto-raising bumpers. They serve some typical bowling alley foods and drink too include adult beverages.
We love coming here. Very fun place always clean they have lots of lanes . Usually no wait time and if so very short . Weekends are the best time to go because they have the cool lights on
I love going here. They are cheaper than any of the other bowling alleys and they are very clean. The whole system they have is great!! And of course, they have a good snack bar. That's always important at a bowling alley!!!
Awesome place. It gets a little crowded but we still enjoyed ourselves. They need more workers in my opinion but the service was good.
Good place to bowl, and really great prices too. It was a bit humid though inside, and this did make the balls a bit sticky and slippery after awhile. Staff was friendly and super helpful!
Do not recommend. People eat greasy food then touch all balls, greasy balls everywhere.
We finally have a manager who cares about bowling and not how much money the snack bar can make. The overall conditions have improved. Now let's work on getting the pins on spot.
Horrible place to take your kids . Went on a Monday an we got placed next to an elderly 4some. They kept touching my kids. When I complained to management their response was "they are regulars" . The staff here is HORRIBLE!
I love this place. Great food. Lanes aren't worn down, and people there are really nice. A tad bit high on prices though.
Have very rude managers. But love to yell for no reason. I'm the nicest person until you accuse me of something. I think the GM should reevaluate their managers
Google not updated... Sunday and Mondays they are closed due to summer time
This is a great place for families to have a great time. The food is not bad for bowling alley food. We really enjoy coming here when we can. The prices are very reasonable for us as a family.
Definitely was not impressed. Access to the place is ridiculous. Construction has you zigzaging an Obstacle course with a mud lake at the finish line. I though the freakin lockness monster living in the lake was going eat my car.
We had a blast going with our kids and the grandkids. The ball ramp for the little ones are plastic dragons. The one we used was pink. The granddaughter thought it was the best!
Amazing place to go bowling with the family. Very cheap as well. The arcade could use some more games but it's still great. The food is also amazing. Have fun!
This place was great, Service was fantastic..would have given it a 5, but some of the machines get taken our money, never had this before. The lady at the snack bar (samoan lady)was EXCELLENT.
MWR bowling lane, 48 lanes available. Decent food and drinks at affordable prices. Great for parties and Unit events. I would recommend bringing your own shoes but they have shoes available.
Awesome place, especially for on post. Great prices, really clean. Had great food without much of a wait.
Fun place to kick it with the family, food is okay and they should consider playing some better music
Very clean place with a ton of bowling lanes. Really enjoyed bowling there.
Cheap prices, pay per frame and not by the game. Works good with kids that get bored and want to leave half way through game. Good food and beer.
Too expensive for large family. Not very attuned to advising customers about various prices at different hours. Plenty of lanes. Arcade games and pool table available. Some games were broken and took our money.
I thought place was on post but its not so I didn't go. Ok I foooket up. I'm learning it's on post after reading comments here. Dang!
Dad winning! ?? Enjoyed the bowling....clean.
Not cheap to bowl, food was alright but did not look like the menu. We ordered philly cheese steak and it came with meat, cheese, mayo... that was it.
Great food, and service. The lane had many problems and you have to pay to hear music, but those were the only draw backs.
Decent. A bit small and cramped for a bowling alley on one of the biggest army installations. Prices are the norm for mwr. Just no family specials or discounts for bowling. Prices are also higher on thursday (family time)
Pretty good, prices were decent. My only complaint is that my food took forever to come out, which isn't even a big deal.
It's ok for bowling, but they get one star for serving alcohol and limiting it to two drinks per hour. Food quality is below average as well.
Great place to bowl. We had some issues with a broken lane but once they got the issue fixed, we were compensated for the lost time appropriately.
I had a Wonderful time bowling with my son and his family whilst visiting from out of state! Customer service was Excellent!
We love bowling and this is one of our favorite places to go. Would like for the pro store to offer more and actually be open but other than that, highly suggest this alley for family fun.
Needs handicap accessible changing table for special needs people not babies. Hosts special Olympic teams but is not accessible. Being renovated so not all open.
Always such a fun time here lanes were bit over greasy but other than that everything was good had a good date night
Everything is good except the lanes are hard to use if you hook the ball. Phantom warrior lanes please take this in consideration, the lanes are to greasie. Its realy hard to hook my ball here.
Incompetent operation as a whole. Company party there, and later that night, I'm getting calls of why multiple soldiers didn't pay! Suprising how they don't even know how to collect someone's credit card and open a tab to close out when they leave. None of my soldiers intentionally did not pay, but the way they run things up there is ridiculous.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
