Pete's Party Castle

Pete's Party Castle

Reviews Summary

Pete's Party Castle receives mixed but generally positive feedback, with many praising its affordability, cleanliness, and kid-friendly atmosphere. Multiple reviewers highlight enjoyable birthday parties, helpful staff, and decent food (especially pizza and mini-hamburgers). However, some criticize malfunctioning games, poor service, and inconsistent party experiences—like misplaced reservations or misleading pricing. While younger kids (5-13) love the arcade and playground, older children may find prizes lacking. Negative reviews mention disorganization, unresponsive management, and occasional cleanliness issues. Overall, it’s a popular choice for family outings and parties, though improvements in game maintenance and customer service could enhance consistency.

Customer Reviews

Very fun place we went on a Friday. It wasn't really busy but I don't mind that because I'm an introvert but my kid had a blast. It was very cheap so if you wanna take your kids to Petes party Castle, I suggested you do so and the food was really delicious as well<3 when I pass through I will be visiting again !

Great family fun that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. My daughter loves this place and that's good enough for me. The okay area gives parents the benefit of having a seated area that let's the kids run wild while Mom and Dad rest their feet whilst still having a clear view, and being within an earshot of the children.

It's a decent place to take your kids for indoor fun when it gets too hot outside. They also have food, which isn't bad. It seems to be that birthday parties are their specialty though. It's definitely worth a try

Me and my family absolutely love Petes party castle. It is ideal for children and toddlers. The games are always fun. I only wish you all had guitar hero back. The food is good. ?? I especially appreciate the claw machines being easy for children toddler specially to win. Thank you.

This is a cute little arcade/play place geared toward younger children. The interior appears clean but maybe a little tired. The staff was friendly. Food items were reasonably priced.

My kids love this place! Food is not too bad either! The workers are always very nice and helpful as well????

So where do I began as soon as I walk in the girl who is taking the money is texting on her phone she couldn't even get our order right she had an evil look the entire time like she hated the world. Then we get our food and she's spraying chemicals in non labeled bottle all over tables near my food I asked if she wouldn't she got an attitude so then I asked to speak with a manager and these kids were all in the floor behind the counter on there phones seen me clearly waiting at the front desk and stilled de

Nice and clean, great pizza, great place for our kids party

Great spot for kids. Mine always enjoy the play area, and there is a decent collection of arcade games to play

I can't thank enough everyone at Pete's Party Castle. The front desk was amazing, our hostess was incredible. She went above and beyond! We had over 20 kids and over 10 adults. The glass room was beautiful! I highly recommend this place! Thank you again for making our daughter's day so special!! We will come back!!!

My grand babies (2&3) absolutely love when Mimi and Papi hey them on weekends !.. lol... It's our new thing to come every Saturday now. We have so much fun. Everyone so far has been very sweet!. Thank you to all staff for being as nice as you are especially to so the kids!!!

My 4 year old grandson loves coming here. It's much better than going to Chunky Cheese!!!!!!!!!!!! My second visit for a birthday party. All the kids had a great time. The pizza was not very good. Tasted like it was out of a box like Tony's. But this was for the kids, so all good.

It was fun. Kids had a blast. Needs more games for 5 stars.

What an amazing experience having my son's birthday party here. From booking online, to having the party. Super easy and very affordable. We rented the big party room. Plenty of space, I didn't even decorate the room; there was enough going on in the room. The kids and adults liked the pizza and apps I ordered. Fried pickles best I've ever had. I would definitely recommend having a kids party here.

Wouldn't have another party here we didn't have no host barely had paper products for the party that was supposed to b supplied... terrible customer service only thing they did right was count the kids to make sure they get paid

My son loves this place. Was going to have his party here next week. Called at 3:00 PM and had to leave a message for the manager to call me.back for booking. Called back after 7 this evening and was told the manager would call me. No need, we will be finding a new venue! I hope the owners see this and have a good talk with the ones you have running things there.

Nice place to let your kids run around. Trash and food litter the floor. Arcade games mediocre if they don't take your tokens. Service staff are just going through the motions. Love watching UFC on the TV. I'm sure all the little kids like watching two dudes beat each other up while they run around. One swinging doors is broken and you can come and go freely. Only staff on the floor was just to bring food or get them a refill.

Fun entertainment for children. Clean and food is better than most children entertainment center

Great place to take the children. Games for tokens, a fun play area free with entrance, and good food. Staff was friendly and helpful. My children beg to go and leave happy.

The kids had fun Saturday but got bored after about 20 min. We ordered pizza (their fav) but they barely touched it. Said it wasn't great. This place has so much potential

Kids love this place. The points from the games do not give you much when you cash them in. After 2 hours of play you will get enough for bubble gum or a tiny plastic lizard. Lighting is good outside for parking and it has security cameras.

Better than chuck e cheese. The kids love the play area and games. Toddler area could be a little better.

Although I only visit once every couple of years for a random birthday party, my kids always enjoy themselves at Pete's Party Castle. There is a decent variety of arcade games to play, as well as a play area that is castle themed. The arcade "tokens" go a long way as opposed to other arcades in the area. Overall, I think they offer a good value.

It's an ok kids establishment but it's gaming section especially on the back end past Toddler town are very outdated in poor condition. Numerous Arcades are just old and wore out as if they're leftover Arcades from the Tom Hanks classic Film "BIG" lol. My child as well as so many other kids get bored quickly. The ticket ?? earning process for prizes is lopsided until you end up having to pay extra out of your own pocket to satisfy your children. They've been in business for years which means there's been

I bring my daughter here at least once a week. It's always pretty laid back, not every crowded. I love the place and atmosphere, but I do think they should have more for the toddlers other than a few kiddy rides.

This is an excellent place for younger children to play! The staff are helpful and friendly. Establishment seems clean considering all the little kids running everywhere. The only thing is, be sure you go in the play structure if you have todflers as the bigger children aren't always watchful or careful around tots. A few of the games were not working, but other than that- great place!

We had our daughters party here today and the kids loved it. They use cards now instead of tokens and tickets which made it a lot easier with the kiddie rides and games. The pizza was good and we got a cute party room with balloons. The price of the party was fair and was helpful to have it elsewhere so we didn't have to prep our house. Overall I give it 5 stars.

Nice place to bring smaller children too. The food is ok. The games are exciting for the children. The staff keeps the place clean.

The staff are just wonderful we came for my great granddaughters birthday i met the owner very nice man it's always so clean we really enjoy our self's

Really needs an updated play area? half the games don't work either.

This place is great for the younger aged kids. I would recommend an age group of 5-13 because outside of that might not be fun for them. The pizza is surprisingly good for a place like this. It's worth making the visit.

They are under new management, so disregard the older reviews. This place is awesome, much calmer than chuck e cheese. The playground is a huge hit with the kids, and the place is very clean all around. Good service and very easy to keep eyes on the kids even if you have multiple.

My kids both said the pizza was disgusting. It definitely caters to very small children.

Awesomeness. The kids loved it, and me to. The pizza is better this time,as I stopped going because they somehow changed the type they served. It was disgusting. But it's good again. One of the machines took my cousins as it didn't work. Guy more than gave me back the coins. Awesome time. Will go back, as long as the pizza stays good

Wonderful birthday experience. Booked my party a week and a half out, great value. I've done home parties and I've done parties at places and this one was by far the best. The kids were happy, my house didn't get wrecked, the food's not bad, either. Kayla was my personal party host and she was so attentive. These folks were understaffed and working hard to keep all their guests happy.

We had an enjoyable time with the grandkids. They played for non stop for couple hours. We only had a couple of hiccups. At 1 point it was so crowded you could hardly move without bumping someone and although restrictions have been loosened, there are several rules still in place. That was not the case here. Over crowded and no masks. Not kids, parents, or staff. The second problem was the attitude of one of the employees. We ordered a pizza and fries and was not offered a receipt. When the pizza arrived t

I highly recommend Pete?s party castle! We had my son?s second birthday here today and it was awesome!! We did a party package that came with the room, pizza, drinks, plates & cups, balloons and tokens for all kids!! They did all the set up for us. Our party host, Abbie, was attentive and friendly! Gave us all the details we needed!! Everyone, even the adults had something to do! My son had a wonderful birthday. The price we paid for everything we got was reasonable and well worth it. Everything was kept cl

Fun place for the kids. They always have a great time running around and playing. Some of the machines took tokens. Some did not give tickets. A few broken Great selection of little kids rides (if they work). Excellent variety of arcade games. Menu has many options in which to choose. If you are looking for good/quality food would not recommend. Staff never friendly.

Decent place, relatively clean, the climbing castle is big enough for adults to get up in and supervise little kids. Good selection of arcade games be careful about the tickets though they run out quick on busy days. Overall a fun place. Will be going back the kids loved it.

This is a place to go with the children if you're just hanging out or just giving them something to do to get out of the house. The restrooms are not clean and most of the games are broken. However, they enjoy what is available.

Pizza is very good and I like all the games, it can get very lonely tho sometimes but I grew up going there so I love it!

We got there shortly after they opened. No hand soap in bathrooms. Several games were unplugged, broken, or took tokens and no play. Staff was nice & replaced tokens with no questions. Pizza was made to order, fresh and hot. Grandkids had fun

Had my 3 year old?s birthday party there. I called to confirm, since I made the reservation online and never received an email confirmation, which they said they had it. When we arrived day of, they misplaced my reservation so nothing was ready, my daughter didn't get the added tokens until asked for, we had to go to the front to get more plates/cups for a 10 minimum kid party, then the package said it included an ?i-Rip inflatable? but when I asked about it, no one had a clue what that was. On a positive n

This place is ok. The owner is the only really nice employee that's not super irritated when you need help. The "help" part, is having your tokens stolen by many of the rides and games. Pizza was really good and generally it's clean. My daughter loves the climbing fort. For $10 we have lots of tokens and fun. My daughter really enjoys it. Previously, there were workers that were not friendly at all and rude and made me feel like I was burdening them. Stood at the entrance for 5 minutes before they even knew

My 3 year old had fun. The 3 employees were very friendly and one of them decided to bring out Pete the dragon and my son got very excited. The pizza was exactly what's you expect. (Good cheap pizza that taste great) the chips and salsa is where they peak. The salsa is bomb diggity and the cheese is ?ew wee momma? good. One game was broken but they were very kind to compensate and give the tokens back. The castle itself may not be for a 3 year old, do be informed if they want to climb it. You'll need to hel

I'm giving two stars... We used to come here very often to let the kids play. They always kept it clean and functioning. The food was always great. I've been there twice this month and it has been terrible. On my first visit it was in the evening time with not so many people there but every table in the front had trash just sitting on them so everyone that was there was sitting in the very back unless you wanted to clean your own table off from whoever ate there prior. Then o spent $40 in tokens and I ha

I had an absolute great time with my son. He was infact so happy to be there that when we left he began to get upset. The pizza was a cook to order, it took about 10 mins for the pizza to arrive clear indications the pizza is not cook to order would be clear the cheese was firm still cold slightly warm. No cheese bubbling from out the oven so again clearly was not a made to order was a premade possibly from early that morning. But enough about that we had a fun time and my sons smile was worth more then the

8,7, and 3 year old had a blast but not much for a one year old to do. The toddler area toys were broken and duck taped together. High chairs needed to be cleaned, had crusty food on them. Food was good, bigger kids had a great time!

Their online party reservation system is a sham. They don't check it and neither do they honor any reservations that have been made online even after a deposit has been paid. That being said...Their party room will not hold more than 18 kids comfortably and if you want to set it up properly, be prepared to do it yourself with no help from the staff. They assign one person to help you but really all that person is there for is to bring out the pizza for the kids and that's it. The gave us 2 pitchers for 2 di

We had our daughters third birthday party here and the kids loved it. Before the party, I was a little unclear with what was included in my booking, and I would have liked a little more information, but that is my only recommendation. That being said, I have to brag on the young people who work here. We donated our daughters party to a friend who is battling cancer, and when the staff heard about it they donated their entire tip jar. The staff was so helpful on the day of the party. Our host and everyo

We had a birthday party here. It was not very expensive for what was included. It was very secure to let most kids play around by themselves safely. They weren't as crowded as chucke cheese, which was very nice. The food is pretty expensive though. Overall, we had a great time!

Clean. The food tastes decent. The kids have a blast. Birthday Parties are priced reasonably too and the staff was helpful with everything.

Great indoor place for the kids on those too hot summer days

The kids had a great time but I was not impressed. The pizza was not good. The parry attendants were not as attentive as they should be. Most of the entertainment for the kids is through token run games. The kids get a set number of tokens depending on the party package and they go fast. Once they run out the kids are constantly wanting more money to keep them entertained. It is really big and open which is a plus if you have a large group

Had a Great time with the Family! Simply, Cheap, and Clean! I could sit at the table and eat while letting the kids run around and play and see where they were at at all times! Very Happy with our visit there will Definitely come Again Soon!??

I don't recommend this place for a birthday party! First, the price to just book a table is not what is advertised on their mobile site! When I went to book, the $30 on the site became $50. (I was informed that the site just hadn't been updated yet!) I thought, maybe this higher price would include more services! NOPE! (Last year, we paid $40, which included admission for 5 children, pizza, drinks, plates, a small cake, and game tokens! My son had a blast!) So what did my $50 get this year? Just the table,

The staff members who helped us were great. They made sure we had what we needed. The food was good. The kids all had a good time. We have been there several times over the years for different parties and had a good experience each time.

My kids had a blast and the food was actually pretty good. The sampler is enough to feed 5 people easily. All the staff were very kind as well.

The place is good for parties. They need to be a little cleaner. Also their arcade games some would get stuck or eat your tokens. Other games wouldn't give you tickets. Thankfully their food was not bad and my little one had a blast after all.

The hosted is the only good thing I can about about Pete's party castle this time. I schedule his party for private party room I repeated it to the woman on the phone. When we got to Pete's she had moved us to a table and put another into the room. Now if the room had been booked prior to my reservation then she should have said that. But she didn't she led me to believe that we were going to be in the party room. I will not ever have another party here. The hostes was wonderful she did everything in her po

I feel Pete's party castle is getting better. The food is much better and faster. I do wish that they would have better prizes for the tickets. We spend a lot of money when we go in and my girls are older. They end up giving all their tickets away because the prizes are not good. When they are good the ticket cost for them is beyond ridiculous. However, the kids still have a good time. I hope they try to continue to improve.

It's really messy. I get there and there are no clean tables. There are people's item at each table so it's hard to know if someone is sitting their or not. Their pizza is tasty and cheesy though. It didn't take long to get the food so that's good. Eventually, they did disinfect the tables. There's no one wearing masks in there so that is something to take into consideration.

Had my grandsons birthday party at Pete's today. Got there at 2:10. Party was booked for 2:30. Nothing was set up for the party. My guests started arriving at 2:30 and finally everything was ready at 2:40 - 2:45. I booked my party Tuesday online. I had 16 children in attendance, 3 were toddlers. Who didn't eat the two pieces of pizza that came with the per person charge. They didn't get soft drinks either. They did get their tokens to play in the toddler area, so I paid 17.99 each for 20 tokens.. WOW!! I o

Bought a table for a birthday party. First when my wife came to book the party the night before they had the door locked early and kept ignoring her knock. She beat on the door until they finally opened it and let her in. Then we get here and have to pay the extra admission for each additional child beyond 5. Went back to buy tokens and find out you get a free admission for every $10 you spend on tokens. So we should have gotten 5 free admissions. They refused to refund the money we paid and rolled thier ey

Not a bad place. Not overly crowded and seems to have a good variety of games for the kids. The food area isn't the cleanest, which I guess is the reason for an 80 on their health card score. I'd bring kids here to play games for an hour or so.

Do not waste your money! Almost all the machines were broken and most took our money. Made this aware to an employee who was supposed to tell the manager whom we never saw. Not to mention i couldn't used a good cleaning. Looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in a year. This used to be a nice place to take your kids. I don't understand...if you're going to run an establishment keep it up instead of letting it fall to pieces.

I am sorry, but a little effort and TLC should be given to your games. They should be clean and functioning properly (provide tickets as expected and NOT take your tokens w/ no game). Overall, it is a good place for children 7 and under...maybe 5 and under is more appropriate.

Our son, who us 12 years old and Autistic, discovered this place on google. We drove over from Fairhope and it was totally worth the drive. Super autism friendly, clean and safe. Tons of good video games and much larger than other arcades we've found. Most games only cost two tokens so it's cost effective too... Highly recommended by the Jones Family!

Love this place. Cheap fun it's a little sticky so bring a wet wipe and give your children a bath afterwards. But can not recommend enough we have been coming here for years. Great for the little ones.

the party castle itself was wonderfully put together. my son had an absolute blast and games were not too expensive. however i cannot give 5 stars because the food was mediocre at best. the service was also very mediocre, too much goofing off going on that our food did not come out right and the food portions were very small

Reasonable amount of machines, but the staff was rude and disinterested in their work. Kids take such pride in trading in their tickets, so the least the staff could do, was to let them chose and take their time chosing! We were the only people there but the staff were more interested in talking with each other. I had to ask several times if my daughter could pick her prizes for herself, because the girl just chose for her. Several of the machines didn't dispense the right amount of tickets. The presents to

We've been going here since my oldest was 2 years old. It's been through a name change and several owners since then. We love Pete's, the playground, the arcade games, and the friendly staff. Food-wise, I'd choose the mini-hamburgers over the pizza every time, but that's just because they are soooo good!

I booked a party on line and paid via pay pal the $50 deposit. I had questions and wanted confirmation so I called.....no one EVER answers the phone!! I left 2 messages and sent emails. Still, no reply! They are quick to take your money (non-refundable BTW), but they don't reply to my request or questions. Very bad owners and management who allow this kind of practice. Confirmation emails are not difficult to do in this day in time. They sure were quick to take my $50!! I don't recommend anyone use them for

Very reasonably priced! My 4 year old loved it. However I was very hungry and had to wait close to an hour for food. I only took a few bites of it and threw it away because it did not taste good and I wanted to like it.

This was a fun place. it's super busy, though and can be hard to keep up with your kids at times if they're running in separate directions. You can't exit unless they buzz you out, though. They need to reinstate their bracelet policy though to make sure no one possibly leaves with a stranger.

Affordable and fun. Would have gotten the fifth star but we found an old lid in the climb castle. We were there when they opened so that meant it did get cleaned or it got missed during the cleaning.

My children love going to Pete's Party Castle! Tokens and admission are not expensive. The admission is $3 per walking child, but if buying tokens or food then you get one free admission for every $10 spent. I do think that their ticket prizes could be better though...

I'll agree with other reviews that you should not eat here. Pizza was an undercooked frozen box pizza. Chips and salsa were ok but it was obviously pace salsa and some mission tortilla chips. There were only 2 staff members which left the facility unattended or thinly staffed. Many parents were not watching their older kids which left them free to run over the big ones. (Of course the last criticism is not the fault of the facility.) Pete's is really over priced for what it is.

My grandchildren love this place! Everyone is very nice and they also serve food. They love the chicken tenders, fries and pizza.

My granddaughter had her birthday there and it was awesome! Only because I couldn't believe how surprisingly with all those children everywhere. How clean it was!! Pizza was pretty good too

I love Pete's, it's a gem in WeMo. Good value on the games . The night time workers from Today 7/27/22 were Subpar though. I waited at the front desk while a young lady helped a customer at the prize station and when she finished she just walked off and never spoke(we made eye contact so she saw me) So i just walked in. The young ladies, especially the one in a purple shirt, sat at a table vaping and got an attitude with other customers who were trying to cash out their tickets. Go in the day time when the

We had a great time! Enjoyed the fries and games. The customer service was horrible and the young girl working the front counter was more interested in the teenage boys hanging out with her than helping the customers.

Owners should be ashamed of themselves. They are so money hungry it's shameful. Save your money and go elsewhere. I've been here multiple times and it gets worse every time I come. I'm here as we speak and it will be the last time I will be here long enough to get rid of my token then I'm gone. Half their games don't work or simply steal tokens. Of course they won't fix them or put a out of order sign because that's another way to make money, by stealing peoples hard earned money. Then I'm told at 1pm in th

PPC used to be my preference when it came to my children unwinding after a school week due to the smaller crowd, however, I am not pleased with the customer service. Once we entered and begun playing the arcade, I noticed many of the games were taking the tokens. Once my children and I found the games that worked properly, we gathered our tickets to redeem prizes. Two workers came to the counter, holding a personal conversation and walked away. It wasn't until I spoke up that another worker walked up to us

Food was good and made just as I had asked. Lots of games and rides for the kids. Also they have a huge play gym and a toddler play area. My kids lived it. Prices were decent.

Had my son's party here. Staff was friendly, laid back. Area was clean and spacious. Lots for kids to do. I suggest adding surround sound to play to keep the energy levels high and the kids pumped up.

Great place to play and have a good time! My kids loved it and can't wait to go again, just remember to bring socks if your kids want to play in the tunnels?? The lady that was working today was so sweet and helpful!

My nephew's loved it their pizza was pretty good are chips and salsa was not bad there's lots of games to play and the boys my nephew's are 3 + 6 I would recommend it for children up to maybe 10 but it'd be a great place for parties

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s it like visiting an arcade today?

It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.

Is it better to go alone or with friends?

Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.

What should I bring to an arcade?

Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.

What’s the best time to visit an arcade?

Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.

Can I meet new people at arcades?

Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.

Are arcades still just for kids?

Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.

Are there events or tournaments I can join?

Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.

What if I’m not great at arcade games?

No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
