My name is Romeo and I myself own a video game store in Los Angeles, CA called LA Video Games and I must say as a collector and store owner that this video game store is FILLED WITH SO MUCH VIDEO GAMES. The second I walked into the store I was so blown away by the inventory that was everywhere. They had titles for every system you can think of and lots of it. Attached to it is also an arcade area in which you have to pay to get in but I thought that was really cool. My favorite part is all the random promos

I bought skate 2 and super Mario 64. Both games played well and I got them at a fair price. I've always had a great experience here. I'll definitely be coming back here soon to add more games and consoles to my collection. I haven't had the chance to play the games in the arcade room so I'll be doing that the next time I go.

the arcade was best ever but rips you off if you have tokens left over plus the prices on games in the actual store is way horrible like more than double of pricecharting and sold listings on ebay good luck getting return customers bud bad biz no deals on multiple with cash yikes wake up and smell the coffee what not is killing your kind of stores so change with times we dont want to pay your rent ??????

I'm glad there's more mom and pop game stores popping up and going strong. Neat finds every now and then. I just wish some prices weren't more than the same items elsewhere or trades felt worth it. Place is a scam. Rather than charging sales tax per transaction they charge taxes per item totaling to an extra $20 in ?taxes? on top of the price gouge. They base all prices $60 more from the highest ebay listing so even though they price a game a day before the owner makes up some mumble jumbo excuse to scan the game into ebay and if theres a new higher price he will charge more. The people working here are pretty rude. We came to get a Wii game, which they had a lot to offer which was great we got what we needed. But our questions we had were answered in a condescending way. Really poor service and an owner that is not knowledgeable. Bought a controller for my phone from the owner. He knew what phone I had. I asked the salesperson if i could return it and she I could. Of course the controller is not compatible and now I'm stuck with credit I don't want. Lousy experience. I requested the price of a gameboy advance cable that was unpriced in a display case. The employee working went on his laptop (I assume to check eBay) and priced the cable at $40. This venue was now well organized or viewer friendly. A general admission ticket got you in the gate but not access to see the venues as they took place. Needed special VIP passes to see the skateboarding as it was completely sectioned off and guarded so general admission could not access. A decent view of any event required VIP pass. I had a friend buy a Sega Genesis mini with 300 games on my belhalf. I started playing Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter series games only to find out I can't switch between hi and low kick/punch. I called and asked if I could return it and purchase a regular console with the game cartridges instead. They said no, they don't accept returns. They said they would allow me trade it in. Picked out some sealed games with price tags already , and was at checkout when the cashier wanted to charge me eBay prices instead of the price tag . Be wary when you see games advertised for one price and at checkout they're more expensive .

I got scammed from a Amiibo. The Amiibo was Dusty and was used, I could?ve got a used Amiibo on eBay instead. Also they weren't friendly, They had lower energy then Walmart and McDonald?s. Also They were paying us $50 for 150 GB, for a Xbox 360, BUT I FOUND BETTER PRICES ON EBAY!!!. In my opinion? this place was a big ?SCAM?Instead buy it from eBay.

This place is great! The nostalgia factor alone is worth stopping by. They have a lot of very rare games (think super famicom Japanese editions), if you're a collector this is the place for you. I really love this place a bit small but full of amazing stuff! The arcade is a must see the collection is well kept and maintained. Plenty of classics my favorite is the Sunset Riders and the Ghosts and Goblins cabinets!

You're better off purchasing on eBay/online with actual money back returns. The store is disorganized. The return policy is told vaguely to the point to trick people out of money do to no money back. Seems to be a scalper of some items. Owner told me the virus was a hoax while I was in the store. Which I find disrespectful to my friends who lost their relatives. I personally don't recommend the place with the current owner.

Awesome store, totally worth the look I've been to this store at least we'll over 30 times cause it's such a cool place. Has a great selection of current and retro games, hardware, and memorabilia. They also repair console issues and even game scratches, ( except gamecube games) all in all cool store to go to. Even just to take a look at

New owners since the last time I came seem to be doing really cool stuff with the store. Prices were fair and seem to be updated regularly since the guy keeps all his titles meticulously alphabetized. Really large selection with some cool rare stuff.

Absolute nostalgic place to visit. Highly recommend to those that are looking for old school to new school video games. Very retro games for everyone to buy and very nice people. Will definitely come back just to play some of the old arcade games.

Fun place, the owner is super friendly and helpful. I had had repairs done here before with great results, but due to covid staff reduction they don't do repairs anymore - HOWEVER at no benefit to himself, the owner told me how to fix my bugging out Switch myself and even treated my son to a free game of Pac-Man so I could listen uninterrupted. The fix worked, too!

I had accidentally purchased a dysfunctional guitar hero guitar off offerup. I asked if they could fix it, but they weren't currently doing repairs due to reduced staff. So i inquired about purchasing a guitar from them. Despite the guitar being overpriced at $70, i bought it. If you're looking for any 1st party Nintendo or other mainstream game, you're better off buying on ebay. For an example I actually just bought Mario super sluggers and Mario strikers charged for Wii on eBay for $32 shipped from 2 different listings. This place has them for $30 EACH plus tax. Unbelievable treasure trove of video games, accessories, and consoles. From vintage to recent stuff. I went in on a recommendation that they could change the battery on my GB and GBA cartridges, and the gentleman took care of it on the spot. I'll definitely be back to grab component cables to my old consoles to get them up and running again, too.

Fantastic deals and selections it's the perfect hole in the wall gaming paradise for gamers of all types, they even have arcade machines for sell which takes me back to when my family owned one back in the 90's when I was a kid. Going to get my new systems from them to get the lifetime discounts.

Best at what they do. Mike and staff are very cool and the atmosphere is laid back. Sporatic hours are the only thing holding this back from 5 stars. They have Robotron the Arcade game. That alone is Stellar !! You must stop by to see for yourself...Just be sure to call first.

Was so exited to go to such a place that gives me nostalgia when i went their i picked up a mint xbox 360 which instantly made me happy.Although the price is slightly higher that other places it cant beat going into a local business and trying out the system just like 2003!!

Went here again recently to purchase a OG Xbox unfortunately my TV doesn't have coaxial inputs Michael was nice enough to let me borrow one of his spare televisions while he orders me a coaxial to HDMI converter he also took 10% off of the all the games I purchased since I was buying a system and an additional 4% for using cash every time I come in Michael is willing to do whatever he can to make sure I am a satisfied customer and also the most knowledgeable gamer you will meet and will give the best advice

I came to this store the other day looking for some Zelda stuff, but I didn't have any luck. The store seems real cluttered and the lighting wasn't the best. The workers there didn't look very friendly.
