AMAZING BARTENDER DENIES AND CASHIER PHILIP!! 10/10 GREAT FOOD AND DRINK BAR 10/10 THE ESTABLISHMENT SET UP 10/10 however the place needs music a digital jukebox and louder music for those who just want to enjoy the aesthetics of watching people play bowling !! THE PLACE NEEDS JAMS ??????especially on a Friday night!!
The place was good, the food and the prices were okay, the cashier (Norman) however not so much. Very disrespectful attitude, looks like he doesn't want to work at all. We were speaking to him and he didn't even look us in the eye, we were asking him questions and he got angry. Ruined the experience tbh
Very fun outing for family, friends, etc. I had my staff holiday party here. I like that you get to control your lane and screen. A few hiccups with technical issues in one lane but other than that lots of fun!
This place is a complete ripoff. We paid $100 for two hours of bowling, only to be constantly interrupted by broken lanes and balls getting stuck. We lost so much time just waiting for the staff to fix things, but they never actually solved the problems. They moved us to another lane, but guess what? SAME ISSUES. We asked for a refund since we had 40 minutes left (not even counting the wasted time), and they only gave us a pathetic $20 credit. Then, when we used that credit for drinks at the food counter (
It was a very bad experience. Employees were very rude. They were talling when people wanted to book a lane. The machines were malfunctioning. Over all, the experience made me not want to come back. I will never come again and you shouldn't either.
This was an absolutely disgusting experience. We paid for two hours of bowling ($100) and barely got to play because of constant technical issues. Pins didn't reset, balls didn't return, and we had to ask for help over and over. After wasting so much of our time, they moved us to another lane-where the same exact problems happened. We demanded a refund, but they only gave us $20 in credit instead of the proper amount we were owed. Then, when we used that credit at the food counter (which they approved), the
If you want to be scammed, overcharged, and completely disrespected by management, this is the place for you. We booked two hours of bowling for $100 and spent most of that time dealing with broken pins and missing balls. The staff was useless, moving us to a different lane that had the exact same issues. After demanding a refund, they only gave us a $20 credit, which was already an insult. But it gets worse. When we used the credit at the food counter (which they said was fine), the manager came back and
I went to Parkway lanes with my family for spring break, at first it was fine, we had our lane reserved under my mother?s name then the issue starts when we play. The balls kept getting stuck in the gutters, so we called the attendant to fix the issue. Afterwards the issue persisted even after it was fixed, and then another attendant insinuated that the balls kept getting stuck because of my preteen sibling being too rough. Mind you we were playing normally, it was not user error. Unless they were literally
I went with some friends to have fun but the experience was terrible, we paid for an hour of play and after half an hour the line got stuck, it didn't work, we notified the receptionist but he never solved it, when the time ran out we talked to him about what happened and he directed us with the manager, a tall and bald man who in a very bad way indicated that it was not his problem indicating that if we wanted to complain we did it with the owner. In the end we only played half an hour of 1 hour that we p
Absolutely disgusting. We booked two hours of bowling for $100 and spent most of it WAITING for the staff to fix broken lanes. Pins didn't reset, balls disappeared, and after complaining FIVE TIMES, they moved us?only for the SAME ISSUES to continue. We had 40 minutes left (NOT counting the wasted time), but they REFUSED to refund us properly. Instead, they gave us a pathetic $20 credit, which doesn't even come close to what we lost. Then, when we used that credit for drinks?WITH STAFF APPROVAL?the manager
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! We paid $100 for two hours of bowling, and it was a total disaster. The pins wouldn't reset, the balls wouldn't return, and we spent more time WAITING for fixes than actually playing. We complained FIVE TIMES before they finally moved us?only for the same issues to happen AGAIN. When we demanded a fair refund, they only threw us a pathetic $20 credit. That wasn't even CLOSE to what we lost in time. But it gets WORSE. We used that credit at the food counter (with their approval
Unacceptable Service & Scamming Customers This was hands down the WORST bowling experience ever. We paid $100 for two hours of bowling, only to spend half that time dealing with malfunctioning pins and balls that wouldn't return. We asked the staff multiple times to fix it, and after five complaints, they finally moved us?only for the same issues to continue. Instead of giving us a fair refund, they gave a pathetic $20 credit, which isn't even close to what we lost in actual lost a $100. Never will be goin
We got a lane, played for 45 mins and then it had issues. Waited about 10 mins for it to be fixed (they didn't credit me the time) and then we go and get food at the counter? the lane ends at that point and they gave up our lane which we were sitting at. What a joke. They told us tough luck and said we have to wait 45 mins for a new lane. Scummy. Never again.
Very good bolling joint for big and kids
It's a nice place to spend time with your loved ones ??, everyone in there was having a good time, I wish they had more options in food.
The place is very nice and clean. Highly recommend.
African American women worker is most disrespectful worker I've ever experienced. If you really want customers get rid of her. Take your money to another bowling alley because she really has no respect for customers. Check other reviews, not first time she has been mentioned. Parkway won't reply but seriously don't waste your time and ruin your day by going here.
Although I moved away I often come back to Parkway Lanes. It was a decent place before but now it has become modernized, keeping up with the likes of AMF lanes. With 36 lanes split between two sides it makes for a interesting atmosphere. The service from since you walk into the door is excellent as it has always been. The food services might need a touch of updating but I won't count it against them as I come to bowl and not get a 5-star meal. The prices are decent even for a Saturday night. I did not get
It was an awful service, me and my friends just had a problem with our line. The bals got stuck, and we were to talk with the manager if he could fix that. The manager made us wait for about 30 minutes, and when we went to complain, he ignored us and told us that they closed at 11 anyway and he didn't want to go fix the problem, and he didn't solve anything for us, the manager was bald and wore glasses, he was very rude.
I'm not from here so I only come when I travel out to Jersey. The lanes are dryer than a Texas sidewalk. This is crazy. Put some oil on the lanes.
Amazing experience! The food was fantastic, far exceeding expectations for a bowling alley. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. All areas were clean and well-maintained. We had a blast bowling and enjoying the great atmosphere. Highly recommend! ??????
Had a 10 years old birthday party here. It was great. The crew here are really helpful and friendly.
There is a new girl at the front desk. Super rude with attitude and ignoring when you talking to her. Horrible custumer service.
Edit: came with 6 people, had 3 frames to finish when almost nobody was here, and the desk guy wanted 15 dollars for 15 minutes for us to finish. Mind you, we were both definitely getting over 200. Very disappointing. The last time I had been here, they handed me a pencil and score sheets upon entry. Needless to say, they've renovated quite a bit. The lanes were a bit oily for my tastes, but in very good condition. Woman at the bar was nice, and drinks were cheap. The bathrooms were absolutely horrible
It's always a good time coming here! And the people who work here are also great and very friendly. Especially the bartender amazing service and clean. My family and I love coming here this place doesn't get as packed as other bowling alleys. It gives a chance to enjoy our peace and have fun
Best bowling in town?. The bartender Matt makes the best margaritas in Bergen county!!!
Excellent pricing. Clean facilities. Lanes work great, great customer service. will definitely be back.
Friendly people are inexpensive and very attentive.
Nice quiet place, nicely kept lanes, nice staff, shoes were pretty terrible, but they a large selection of different types of balls, the technology was up to date and gave us no issues at all, which is very rare for a bowling alley. There are many lanes. Overall good experience and lots of fun.
Very nice place! The front desk employees were awesome! The ladies room is gigantic and so very clean. They play great music too! Will be back again and again
Nice place to take the kids. Nice place for after hour bowling. Very good experience
The bar definitely needs attention! My friends and I wanted a drink and had to wait for someone to come to the bar and there weren't many options. We didn't enjoy our drinks since they didn't have a real menu and just got a mixed drink. (The person at the bar wasn't very friendly either). Service was slow and took time away from designated time slot. The lanes were slow in bringing the pins. Prices were super affordable and that's the only reason I would return.
The African American receptionist in the front is incredibly rude! I was in disbelief! Hire someone else, it leaves your customers with a terrible taste. Would not recommended this place to anyone and would definitely not come back.
Such a disappointment. The receptionist was rude and unwilling to listen to my concerns. We were placed directly in the middle of two different families with a bunch of small children instead of in our own lane. After I mentioned my son has autism and struggles being around that many people, she shrugged her shoulders and made it very clear she would not move us to another lane. Instead, she suggested we leave. If that is how you treat a child with special needs, I will never spend another dime at this esta
Lots of fun, good food and nice staff.
First time visiting, and it was a blast!!! The gentleman that helped us was very welcoming and friendly and simply pleasant!!!! The place was spacious and clean. There were lots of arcade games and I even saw some pool tables. Had a blast!!! Would definitely go back!!!!
Last night, we went to Parkway Lanes. The price was $60 per hour for up to 5 people. However, even though we had 12 people, they didn't split the lanes evenly. Instead, they put 5 people on one lane, 4 on another, and 3 on the third lane. I went to the front desk about 5 times to ask them to fix it, but nothing changed on the lane screen. To make matters worse, there was no staff available to help us resolve the issue, which made things even more frustrating. Every time the pins went down or the bowling bal
Great place, really good price. Would definitely recommend going. I will go again for sure!!
Shout out to Matthew at the bar! Amazing dude drinks were on point! Went there for a tournament?Btw this is Krystal from New York!
Feels very retro like the kind of lanes I went to in the 90s. That said the price is much now reasonable than other places so if I ever want to go bowling again I'd definitely come back here ??
Had a great time! Food was very well done as we're the drinks. Loved it.
Bowling seemed OK. Lots of lanes, but don't come here to shoot pool. Terrible old tables. They are dirty, with stains and no upkeep. There was dirt and lint on the table. Only one of the three tables had a light overhead. Also there was no one working the bar. We had to go ask the person at the front desk to stop her conversation with another employee and go do her job. At least the kitchen was open and served decent food. Don't think I would drive out of my way to come here again.
Very clean and we'll maintained bowling alley. Don't let the outdated signs outside fool you, inside is very nice. Price is great before 6pm.
It's bowling. Has an old style vibe yet modernized. The arcade is excellent. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Horrible experience. Leaving this place with a massive headache due to ridiculously loud music. My whole family was closing their ears and complaining, but the ?manager? refused to lower the music, even a little. They told me wrong price over phone and then charged me much more. I won't be coming back
I had my daughters 3rd birthday here. It was phenomenal!! The staff were great. The food was great. The whole party ran smooth. Very very satisfied!! Also the guy that was helping , Reggie , was absolutely GREAT! helped with everything, extremely nice n professional. So so so pleased ! Thanks so much my daughter had fun !
I had such an amazing at this place! I took my mom bowling for her first time and Philip was so kind and welcoming!! The original lane that given to us had a piece of the bumper missing. He kindly moved us over to the next lane without us even asking. ?? I wish I would have caught the name of the cook last night cause she was such a SWEETHEART!! She was let my mom take her time looking over the menu. We didn't know about the late night menu but she STILL let my mom order her buffalo chicken wrap. She was k
Dan Morales was an Awesome host he made me feel very comfortable with me and my family at this bowling alley I've been to other bowling alley and never felt as comfortable as they did here. Everything I need he was very attended to us and took care of us definitely would go back great times ????????????
Great bowling, nice people, wonderful employees. It's a bit dated (in a nice nostalgic way), but very well maintained. They have a cost-saving family pack of bowling, specials throughout the week, and both a bar and food concession area. The person(s) responsible for this establishment should take a bow. Just clean, safe, friendly bowling!
Very fun. $40 for one game, party of 5 shoes included. It's a bit much for just one game, but nonetheless it was very fun, and the customer service was very good.
Visited this place on Saturday, January 1st 2022 with group of 6. Place: 5 of 5 Services: 3.5 of 5 Pros: Place is clean and I believe in process of renovations with certain areas. Atmosphere gives the that free and positive vibes. Good price for the group package. Cons: Prizes on their site listed for Fri to Sun for 1hr is $55 and for 2hrs $65; however 2hrs deal is not available at this location. I asked the guy when my group walked in and did not give lane for 2hr straight. My group end up playing pool
Great vibes great music and drinks i will definitely go back?the only reason i didn't give 5 stars I didn't try the food but when i go back i will update my review
Great place to bowl!!! Lanes are always so clean, the staff is friendly and the owner is very personable! Seems there is always a "fun atmosphere" where you feel very comfortable and welcome every time you walk in. Even the food servers are great!! Also, they take very good care of oiling the lanes. My experience has been even on the weekends you can get a pair with oil if you are wanting to practice.
Very nice staff...great place to find a tournament and has enough lanes for all!
Wow! I'm impressed. When it comes to the bowling aspect, its for family, its for fun, it isn't built for professional use necessarily since the lanes seem to track the balls in their own course versus where one may intend them to go? maybe it was just our lane. Well, I went with my family, 4 adults and 2 kids, so we could have fun, movement, and stay away from the freakish 100+ degree heat today. They loved it! We all had a blast spending time together, bowling and dancing to merengue and bachata. 1-hr game
Joe was excellent making our stay as fun as it could be. After an incident, he listened and understood what made the visit almost horrible. However he tried his best to make it better and the kids and myself appreciated his efforts. Thank you for your help.
Came here with a group of friends to have a chilled night out and our lane just kept glitching wasn't putting the pins down giving strikes out randomly ended up wasting most of the time we paid for and after we asked them multiple times to fix it or to switch lanes they said they'll take care of it and that they can't give us a different lane even though there was a lot of open ones after the 7th time it happened we told him we're leaving and if we can please have compensation for a ruined night and experie
If You want to get SCAMMED Go This place
Seems very expensive compared to other bowling alleys around the area. Was an hour wait to get a lane, and not a fan of pay per lane per hour places that make it hard to get through even one game with 4 people without feeling rushed. That said, it's definitely a more modernized and nice looking bowling alley compared to others.
They don't have the Friday 11-1 am deal anymore and they are closing at 12 am instead. Although they are advertising it on their website and they have kept their old hours. Came around 11 to find out its closing soon, kinda sucks to plan a hang out with friends to be misinformed and not even given a proper answer why they no longer close later or do the deal. Disappointed many other nice places around.
Great staff! Front counter guy Nick is super nice. Kitchen lady Katie is a chef w the apps. Order them chicken empanadas? trust me.
I took a group of kids here twice in the last week because I wanted them to get practice bowling prior to tryouts for their high school bowling team. The person at the desk was not very pleasant either time. The second time we went, on a Friday night at 6:30pm, we were told there weren't going to be any lanes available because leagues were coming in. If there are certain times when the entire bowling alley is booked with leagues, this should be noted on the website so patrons don't drive there unnecessarily
Modern, friendly staff at concession. Front desk staff could be better but prices are good. My kids enjoy so we will go back soon.
Great place. The workers are welcoming, attentive and try their best to make your time pleasant. The food is good and varied. Lanes have good oil for first-time bowlers.
Great spot! Great for family, friends or a date. Been there many times, always been a great experience. Even though it looks a little outdated it still is amazing. Customer service is Amaizng! Norman is a great guy and best customer service. Very helpful!
This place is very outdated and clearly needs renovation. Moreover, the staff are disrespectful towards customers and even allowed themselves to mock my accent. This is unacceptable.
Decent bowling alley. Wasn't too pleased with hearing that other patrons were being mistreated by staff. Staff was great to me tho! All 3 of them. Location is heavily understaffed. Was not happy with the arcade! Alot if machines not working and still plugged in.
Bigger inside, very clean and great prices. Food is good too and the benches are comfy with cool little tables. They also have a bar with some pool tables
WORST place ever Do Not Go Ever
Not super modern or high-end, but if you want an old school place to bowl, this is one of the best in the area. I've always enjoyed the leagues and people that bowl here, it's a pretty close community. They offer more competitive leagues also like sport shots that alot of other alleys in the area don't. There's a well run pro shop in the center with knowledgeable people. Additionally the bar is well stocked and the snack bar has good food. They have multiple pool tables available for rent as well
The place looks insanely different than the website portrays. The pin setters regularly had to be reset and for the love of God do not rent shoes there. I had more traction in my socks, the soles are just hard plastic. I almost fell half a dozen times.
After visiting this place two times Ive invited my coworkers out on Monday the 13th, the lady working was very rude and on two separate occasions started an argument with my staff. I'm highly disappointed and embarrassed to have brought this experience on my coworkers. I enjoy the atmosphere and bar an hope to visit again soon with a better experience.....
A nice place you can enjoy with your family. Needs a little improvement. Will go again sometime.
10/10. Drinks and service were amazing! Reggie made our night - so nice and checked up on us whenever we needed anything. The staff here were so lovely
False Advertisement. I was on their website looking into booking my sons birthday party. The site claims party packages start at $15 per person. I knew with the amount of children we're inviting it was out of our price range. So I tried contacting them to see if we could come to an agreement on pricing. When I called they informed me their lowest package starts as $17.50 per person. I told the lady that answered the phone their website claims that packages begin at $15. I offered to send a screen shot with
This is the most gorgeous bowling alley in the area. It's been very nicely remodeled, very high tech monitors and lanes. The couches make it feel like a high class lounge. The arcade is awesome my little cousins absolutely loved it. The pricing is great as well. The major downfall of this place and the reason it gets a 1 Star is because this place is not handicap accessible. You can get a wheelchair into the building but if you have an immobile person/child then you won't get them onto the lane. This is a h
Absolutely love this place! Get lanes and an awesome bar where friends can meet and have a great time!
It was fun, modern, the girl that worked behind the counter was so nice. The place was clean. The people were so helpful in the next lanes. Everyone was happy! We had a really great family time!!
Pricing is really good and the food options are plentiful. Love coming hear with the co-workers after a long day at work.
Wonderful experience and friendly staff. The food was amazing.
Brilliant place to play with your family and friend. Found this place much cleaner than Bowler city in Hackensack NJ. Staff were friendly. Plenty of car park spaces. Lanes were clean and in good working order. Animation for each player were fantastic.
Nope never again!!!!!! I came with my friends to have a great time bowling, however we ended up not bowling at all. We didn't get the chance to bowl because the young man who was working the front desk thought FaceTiming on his phone was more important than providing my group with costumer service. I thought that was extremely rude because we waited about 15min before I had to ask him if he was ever was gonna help us, but that wasn't even the rudest part. The rudest part was when I asked him if he was gonna
Clean and updated, food wasnt too bad either. Staff on the other hand were rude, the ones i dealt with atleast. The cleaning women acted more like an owner the way she was yelling at people. I had a bday party there and the host was pointless. Hope she didnt expect a tip. Shs literally sat with her head in her phone the whole time. I served the food, i prepared the cake and tables, i did everything. She was annoyed when i asked her to get a lighter or match to light the candles. I could of had a party at h
The place was not so full but still tye attendant gave 2 hour waiting. We ended up leaving the place. The ambience was rather lack luster. Wasted half hour for no good reason.
The place doesn't look bad, but we called ahead of time and they told us it closed at 11 pm. We show up 9:40pm and the lazy worker behind the counter says we can no longer rent a lane even though we still have a 1 hour and 20 mins before they close. I think the owner should be aware that his employees don't want to make money and would rather go home early. terrible customer service we will never be coming back, I recommend for you to go to another bowling alley.
Do not recommend going to this bowling alley. I went bowling here the lane kept glitching. The guy behind the counter raj was very not helpful and downright rude about it. we wasted are money here. Save your money and don't go here.
Not too loud. Good deals available ($2/game + $2 for shoes), and the computer adjusts the scoring (handicap, etc.) for each bowler - even when bowling in the same lane. I took three of my kids there, but only one if them wanted to use bumpers (to prevent gutter balls). When it was her turn, the bumpers came up, and when it wasn't, they went down! It does get busy, so call ahead to make sure a lane will be available when you want to go.
A great spot for family and friends to spend a number of hours bowling for the fun of it. Or to watch bowling teams compete against the other. The atmosphere is fantastic, the food is good, the staff is respectful an on point with making sure you have a memorable time. There is also a high-tech arcade that will eat your time there up. Happy bowling.
It’s a mix of nostalgia and high-energy fun! Many arcades blend retro classics like Pac-Man and pinball with modern VR games, racing simulators, and rhythm challenges — often with music, lights, and a social vibe.
Both can be great! Solo visits let you focus on your favorite games, while going with friends adds competition, teamwork, and laughs. Many people plan arcade meetups as a casual hangout or even date spot.
Usually just yourself and a way to pay (some arcades still use coins, others use cards or apps). If you're competitive, bring your A-game. If you're social, bring friends or meet new ones over multiplayer games.
Weekdays or early afternoons are usually less crowded — perfect for focused play. Evenings and weekends bring the buzz, especially at barcades or venues with DJs, tournaments, or themed nights.
Absolutely! Arcades attract a mix of casual players and serious gamers. Whether you're jumping into a four-player co-op or chatting between rounds, it's a fun, low-pressure way to connect over shared interests.
Not at all. While many arcades are family-friendly, there are also adult-oriented ones with full bars, 18+ nights, or vintage nostalgia themes. Arcades today cater to everyone — from first-timers to lifelong gamers.
Yes! Many arcades host regular competitions, retro nights, cosplay parties, and more. Whether you're into high scores or just want to watch and vibe, events add an extra layer to the experience.
No worries — arcades are about having fun, not being perfect. Try a variety of games, ask others for tips, and remember: the vibe is more “let’s play” than “let’s win.”
